This study examined the importance of social capital in facilitating older adults' learning and adaptation of information technology as well as alleviating depressive symptoms. At two senior community centers in South Korea, 144 adults aged 60 and older were recruited to participate in 12 week-long technology classes to learn computers, smart phone, and internet skills. At the baseline interviews were conducted to assess their health status, depression, and online social relationships. Online and offline social capital (bonding vs. bridging) was assessed (Williams, 2006). Four-step Hierarchical Linear Regression analysis was conducted to examine the effects of online social relationship on depression. Findings suggested that depressive symptoms were associated with being widowed, being unemployed, and perceiving poor health status. Adding social capital variables in the final step, older adults who perceived less stressors, greater level of subjective health and high online bonding capitals had less depressive symptoms. Only online social bonding was significant in alleviating depression. This final model explained 48% of the variance. Computer/Internet training for older adults need to consider the significant role bonding social capital can play. The findings of this pilot study provided a preliminary base of knowledge about acceptable community-based interventions for older adults.

In recent years, the service design in the medical sector evolves through practical service research and development that can visualize both intangible and intangible service elements in an integrative way and derive innovative solutions to help customers feel the service more important value. With the improvement of personal income, interest in medical welfare and well-being is increasing day by day, and the focus of the medical sector shifts from the concept of treatment of diseases and illness to preventive medicine. In response to this trend, research and development of home health care system, which greatly reduces the time and space constraint of health checkup and health care by combining ubiquitous concept with medical welfare, are being actively conducted, and the needs for improving products and medical environment based on user-centered medical service and user needs in accordance with the Health Care 3.0 Era, it becomes necessary to develop on-site medical diagnostic products that reflect user-centered needs and needs. This study is intended to research and develop a product that sufficiently reflects the needs of users by applying suitable materials and shape for on-site diagnostic product in researching and developing Wireless X-ray Detector.

Our society is aging rapidly. In this super-aged society, the increase in healthcare costs are considered a national problem that undermines the sustainability of social security. Various services for healthcare for the elderly have been promoted to address this. However, most of them have focused on healthcare after the outbreak of chronic diseases and lack preventive healthcare. Most of the preventive healthcare projects are only pilots. In this paper, the current status of health care services for senior citizens at home and abroad was analyzed and based on this, the limitations and improvements were analyzed to propose the establishment of IoT-based Total Silver Care Center. IoT-based Total Silver Care Center may be conveniently monitored the health status of the elderly through various sensors, medical devices, and smart bands. And based on this, it can improve the quality of nursing services through time-saving and work efficiency of nursing providers. In addition, health care interventions may be provided in a timely manner if there is a change in the health status of users. And real-time imaging systems can help overcome mental difficulties.
