The smart city is one of the most promising, prominent, and challenging applications of the Internet of Things (IoT). Smart cities rely on everything connected to each other. This in turn depends heavily on technology. Technology literacy is essential to transform a city into a smart, connected, sustainable, and resilient city where information is not only available but can also be found. The smart city vision combines emerging technologies such as edge computing, blockchain, artificial intelligence, etc. to create a sustainable ecosystem by dramatically reducing latency, bandwidth usage, and power consumption of smart devices running various applications. In this research, we present a comprehensive survey of emerging technologies for a sustainable smart city network. We discuss the requirements and challenges for a sustainable network and the role of heterogeneous integrated technologies in providing smart city solutions. We also discuss different network architectures from a security perspective to create an ecosystem. Finally, we discuss the open issues and challenges of the smart city network and provide suitable recommendations to resolve them.

Our daily lives are changing at a rapid pace and the concept of smart city is spreading, as the information communication technologies apply to various fields. However, efforts to prepare for changes in society due to technological evolution are insufficient in the field of landscape architecture. The purposes of this study are to explore the concept of smart parks, to investigate how smart technology has been applied to parks, and to identify the users' perception and satisfaction on smart park services. To this end, we conducted literature review, focus group interviews with experts, and a questionnaire survey with 180 users of the IoT See pilot smart park in Daegu. Smart parks can, as a result, be defined as sustainable parks that improve users' experience in parks and solve social and environmental problems faced by utilizing various high technology. Smart technologies introduced at the park so far have been mostly focused on safety and environmental areas, including AI CCTV, smart street lamp, and fine dust warning devices. The results of survey showed that not many users were aware of the smart services the park provided due to the lack of public communication as well as the nature of maintenance-oriented smart services. The survey also found that AR services for the education of historic parks were the least utilized, while solar power benches and WiFi service were most preferred by the park users. In conclusion, smart technologies need to be integrated with diverse park contents more centered user needs, providing services to enhance safety and environmental management in order to develop user-oriented smart parks.

An open office or a shared office is emerging as the emphasis on the collaborative and communicative work environments is increasing. In the past, the user maintained the space, but the maintenance of indoor space became difficult because there is no fixed user. Indoor space information can be collected using the ICBM framework system. The facility management can achieve this with data. Therefore, this study proposed a framework based on ICBM (Internet of Things, Cloud, Big Data, and Mobile) for verifying the possibility of a smart facility management system for indoor space. IoT (Internet of Things) technology was used to measure the indoor temperature, humidity, occupancy, and brightness continuously, and provided the data to Web API via WiFi. Data acquired automatically via IoT, existing maintenance data, and spatial information were integrated through the Cloud. Big data collected by sensors were processed as meaningful spatial information for maintenance. Indoor space information and maintenance information can be delivered to the manager through the mobile. Based on the collected data, room occupancy recognition is limited due to a range of ultrasonic wave sensors. On the other hand, brightness represents the space conditions. The difference between lighting on/off, weekday and weekend can be shown. The temperature data and the relative humidity data were collected steadily to evaluate the comfort.

Analysis was performed using SPSS 21.0, and all statistical values were presented as average values. The results of the study are as follows. First, the future issues of the intelligent information society according to the recognition of the intelligent information society, the help of life provided by artificial intelligence devices and services, and the need for intelligent information technology were presented. Second, the difference in Life help provided by artificial intelligence according to the recognition and use experience of artificial intelligence devices was presented. Third, the difference in life help provided by artificial intelligence according to the recognition and use experience of artificial intelligence service was presented. Fourth, the difference in necessity according to artificial intelligence technology recognition and use experience was presented. Fifth, the educational level and educational demand of the intelligent information society were investigated and presented. Through the results of this study, a suggestion for resolving the information gap in the era of digital transformation was suggested.

In this paper, we describe design and implementation of optimal smart home control system. Recent developments in technologies such as sensors and communication have enabled the Internet of Things to control a wide range of objects, such as light bulbs, socket-outlet, or clothing. Many businesses rely on the launch of collaborative services between them. However, traditional IoT systems often support a single protocol, although data is transmitted across multiple protocols for end-to-end devices. In addition, depending on the manufacturer of the Internet of things, there is a dedicated application and it has a high degree of complexity in registering and controlling different IoT devices for the internet of things. ARIoT system, special marking points and edge extraction techniques are used to detect objects, but there are relatively low deviations depending on the sampling data. The proposed system implements an IoT gateway of object based on OneM2M to compensate for existing problems. It supports diverse protocols of end to end devices and supported them with a single application. In addition, devices were learned by using deep learning in the artificial intelligence field and improved object recognition of existing systems by inference and detection, reducing the deviation of recognition rates.
Steady exercise or walking exercise is helpful for the treatment of chronic diseases or cancers. In this paper, I presented a smart poster to enable the patients to exercise while moving between the smart posters, dynamically, in order to provide better exercise effect to them. It can be a new form of exercise prescription that combines exercise with walking using smart posters. The personalized exercise prescription is downloaded from the management server in real time when the patient approaches, and induces the patient's exercise and walking. In addition, the smart poster helps patient to move to other posters in order to induce more walking exercise. To achieve this, I proposed a transfer protocol that autonomously exchanges session information between smart posters in this paper. Moreover, the smart poster based on Raspberry was implemented to verify validity of this protocol, and an experiment was conducted to measure the request and response time between smart posters in the implemented environment. In the experiment, when the other poster sent the message requesting the exercise session 100 times and received the response message, the 95 percentage of received messages had the response time within 0.05 seconds.

The smart grid, a new open platform, is a core application for facilitating a creative economy in the era of the Internet of Things (IoT). Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is one of the components of the smart grid and a two-way communications infrastructure between the main utility operator and customer. The smart meter records consumption of electrical energy and communicates that information back to the utility for monitoring and billing. This paper investigates the impact of a cybersecurity attack on the smart meter. We analyze the cost to the smart grid in the case of a smart meter attack by authorized users based on a high risk scenario from NESCOR. Our findings could be used by policy makers and utility operators to create investment decision-making models for smart grid security.

This study presents a paper on the implementation of a Raspberry Pi-based educational smart farm system. It confirms that in a real smart farm environment, the control of temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and light intensity can be smoothly managed. It also includes remote monitoring and control of sensor information through a web service. Additionally, information about intruders collected by the Pi camera is transmitted to the administrator. Although the cost of existing smart farms varies depending on the location, material, and type of installation, it costs 400 million won for polytunnel and 1.5 billion won for glass greenhouses when constructing 0.5ha (1,500 pyeong) on average. Nevertheless, among the problems of smart farms, there are lax locks, malfunctions to automation, and errors in smart farm sensors (power problems, etc.). We believe that this study can protect crops at low cost if it is complementarily used to improve the security and reliability of expensive smart farms. The cost of using this study is about 100,000 won, so it can be used inexpensively even when applied to the area. In addition, in the case of plant cultivators, cultivators with remote control functions are sold for more than 1 million won, so they can be used as low-cost plant cultivators.
In addition to the 4th Industrial Revolution and Industry 4.0, the recent megatrends in the ICT field are Big-data, IoT, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. Therefore, rapid digital transformation according to the convergence of various industrial areas and ICT fields is an ongoing trend that is due to the development of technology of AI services suitable for the era of the 4th industrial revolution and the development of subdivided technologies such as (Business Intelligence), IA (Intelligent Analytics, BI + AI), AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things), AIOPS (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations), and RPA 2.0 (Robotic Process Automation + AI). This study aims to integrate and advance various machine learning services of infrastructure-side GPU, CDA (Connected Data Architecture) framework, and AI based on mass distributed Abyss storage in accordance with these technical situations. Also, we want to utilize AI business revenue model in various industries.
The Internet of Things (IoT) technology is rapidly developing in recent years, and is applicable to various fields. A smart factory is one wherein all the components are organically connected to each other via a WSN, using an intelligent operating system and the IoT. A smart factory technology is used for flexible process automation and custom manufacturing, and hence needs adaptive network management for frequent network fluctuations. Moreover, ensuring the timeliness of the data collected through sensor nodes is crucial. In order to ensure network timeliness, the power consumption for information exchange increases. In this paper, we propose an IEEE 802.15.4e DSME-based distributed scheduling algorithm for mobility support, and we evaluate various performance metrics. The proposed algorithm adaptively assigns communication slots by analyzing the network traffic of each node, and improves the network reliability and timeliness. The experimental results indicate that the throughput of the DSME MAC protocol is better than the IEEE 802.15.4e TSCH and the legacy slotted CSMA/CA in large networks with more than 30 nodes. Also, the proposed algorithm improves the throughput by 15%, higher than other MACs including the original DSME. Experimentally, we confirm that the algorithm reduces power consumption by improving the availability of communication slots. The proposed algorithm improves the power consumption by 40%, higher than other MACs.
