ISO/IEC 15118 is a standard for communications and services for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Although this standard deals only with data communication between an electric vehicle and a charge station, communication with the outside is essential for establishing an authentication system for vehicle certification and V2G service for electric power transmission. In this study, it was designed to verify the information of electric car charging infrastructure in electric power system through communication link between ISO/IEC 15118 electric vehicle model and IEC 61850 standard MMS protocol. This is demonstrated in the field so that the electric vehicle communication data is linked with the micro grid management system. This could be used as an element technology in other distributed power sources as well as electric cars in the future.

Recently, new concept of energy systems such as microgrid, smart grid, supergrid, and energy network has been introducing. In this paper, the concept of the centralized micro-energy network, which is an energy community of a building group without district heating system, is introduced. In addition, a mathematical model for optimal operation of the micro-energy network as a main function of an energy management system (EMS) for the micro-energy network is proposed. In order to show the validation, the proposed model is tested through the simulation and analyzed.
Nowadays, a rapid development in wind power technologies is occurring compared with other renewable energies. This advance in technology has facilitated a new generation of wind turbines with larger capacity and higher efficiency. As the height of the turbines and the distance between turbines increases, the monitoring and control of this new generation wind turbines presents new challenges. This paper presents the architectural design, simulation, and evaluation of hybrid communication networks for a large-scale wind turbine (WT). The communication network of WT is designed based on logical node (LN) concepts of the IEC 61400-25 standard. The proposed hybrid network architectures are modeled and evaluated by OPNET. We also investigate network performance using three different technologies: Ethernet-based, WiFi-based, and ZigBee-based. Our network model is validated by analyzing the simulation results. This work contributes to the design of a reliable communication network for monitoring and controlling a wind power farms (WPF).

In smart grid, enhancement of efficiency and interoperability of electric power system is achieved through the connection with outer network, and this induces that power grid system is threatened increasingly, becomes the main target of cyber terrorism, and is sincerely required to design the secure power system. Although SSDLC(Secure System Development Life Cycle) is used for risk management from the design phase, traditional development life cycle is somewhat limited for satisfaction of information security indicator of power control system. Despite that power control system should reflect control entities of information security considering its own characteristics, validation elements are insufficient to apply into real tasks based on existing compliance. To make design of diagnostic model and assessment process for power control system possible and to give a direction for information security and present related indicator, we propose the new risk management framework of power control system which is applied operational security controls and standard architecture presented by IEC 62351 TC 57 with enterprise risk management framework.
A new system for evaluating the voltage management errors of distribution equipment is presented in this paper. The main concept of the new system is to use real distribution live-line voltage to evaluate and correct the voltage measurement data from distribution equipment. This new approach is suitable for a new Distribution Management System (DMS) which has been developed for a distribution power system due to the connection of distributed generation growth. The data from distribution equipment that is installed at distribution lines must be accurate for the performance of the DMS. The proposed system is expected to provide a solution for voltage measurement accuracy assessment for the reliable and efficient operation of the DMS. An experimental study on actual distribution equipment verifies that this voltage measurement accuracy assessment system can assess and calibrate the voltage measurement data from distribution equipment installed at the distribution line.

To solve the energy problem and finding new growth engines, interest for the smart grid is increasing and related technologies are making great efforts to secure in the world. AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Among them is the first to be constructed and getting attention as a key component of smart grid. A fusion of various technologies in technology development and demonstration is underway on Jeju Island Smart Grid Demonstration Complex in Korea, and focusing on broadband power line communication technology infrastructure is actively underway in Korea Electric Power Corporation. AMI system using power line communication technology without building a separate communication lines are available for power supply lines, but communication is impossible in occurs because admission to the power company or the ideal infrastructure for communication is not considered. In this paper, we analyze the requirements to build AMI system using Binary CDMA and powerline communications technology, and design the basic communication protocol based on Binary CDMA, implement network management and relay feature. By doing so, ways to apply Ad-hoc Binary CDMA indigenous technology to the AMI system were derived, and could build a system to make use of Wired (PLC) and wireless (Binary CDMA) simultaneously.

The smart grid replaces the traditional power structure with information inventiveness that contributes to a new physical structure. In such a field, malicious information injection can potentially lead to extreme results. Incorrect, FDI attacks will never be identified by typical residual techniques for false data identification. Most of the work on the detection of FDI attacks is based on the linearized power system model DC and does not detect attacks from the AC model. Also, the overwhelming majority of current FDIA recognition approaches focus on FDIA, whilst significant injection location data cannot be achieved. Building on the continuous developments in deep learning, we propose a Deep Learning based Locational Detection technique to continuously recognize the specific areas of FDIA. In the development area solver gap happiness is a False Data Detector (FDD) that incorporates a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The FDD is established enough to catch the fake information. As a multi-label classifier, the following CNN is utilized to evaluate the irregularity and cooccurrence dependency of power flow calculations due to the possible attacks. There are no earlier statistical assumptions in the architecture proposed, as they are "model-free." It is also "cost-accommodating" since it does not alter the current FDD framework and it is only several microseconds on a household computer during the identification procedure. We have shown that ANN-MLP, SVM-RBF, and CNN can conduct locational detection under different noise and attack circumstances through broad experience in IEEE 14, 30, 57, and 118 bus systems. Moreover, the multi-name classification method used successfully improves the precision of the present identification.

The electric power industry have recently been building out Smart Grids, a two-way electricity grid that connects power consumers and producers to a network that enables one to respond quickly to any eventuality. The construction of a two-way electricity grid means that the power control process becomes unified, from what used to be separate processes that originate individually from the consumption phase and the production and supply phases. The role of power control that takes place within each section of the power system may be independent. However, this does not mean the independent control sections are operated individually, but are configured to meet a single target and purpose. Each control section possesses enough degree of independency to respond to eventualities that may occur within different stages of the power system, but at the same time, possesses unified system elements for the stability of the entire power system. From this perspective, Smart Grids are widely regarded as the most rational power industry operation plan. A variety of different control and communication systems can be applied for an effective deployment of Smart Grids. Recently, we have seen systems such as PMS(Power Management System) and PAS(Process Automation System) applied in the deployment of Smart Grids, which are developed from the techniques utilized in the industry. The PMS is attracting particular attention for its power operations management ability. In this study, we propose plans for improvement in the rational development of power system controls through case studies of live PMS operations.
