The Stonecutters Bridge (SCB) in Hong Kong is the third-longest cable-stayed bridge in the world with a main span stretching 1,018 m between two 298 m high single-leg tapering composite towers. A Wind and Structural Health Monitoring System (WASHMS) is being implemented on SCB by the Highways Department of The Hong Kong SAR Government, and the SCB-WASHMS is composed of more than 1,300 sensors in 15 types. In order to establish a linkage between structural health monitoring and maintenance management, a Structural Health Rating System (SHRS) with relevant rating tools and indices is devised. On the basis of a 3D space frame finite element model (FEM) of SCB and model updating, this paper presents the development of an SHR-oriented 3D multi-scale FEM for the purpose of load-resistance analysis and damage evaluation in structural element level, including modeling, refinement and validation of the multi-scale FEM. The refined 3D structural segments at deck and towers are established in critical segment positions corresponding to maximum cable forces. The components in the critical segment region are modeled as a full 3D FEM and fitted into the 3D space frame FEM. The boundary conditions between beam and shell elements are performed conforming to equivalent stiffness, effective mass and compatibility of deformation. The 3D multi-scale FEM is verified by the in-situ measured dynamic characteristics and static response. A good agreement between the FEM and measurement results indicates that the 3D multi-scale FEM is precise and efficient for WASHMS and SHRS of SCB. In addition, stress distribution and concentration of the critical segments in the 3D multi-scale FEM under temperature loads, static wind loads and equivalent seismic loads are investigated. Stress concentration elements under equivalent seismic loads exist in the anchor zone in steel/concrete beam and the anchor plate edge in steel anchor box of the towers.

Most of banks in Korea provide smartphone banking services. To use the banking service, public key certificates with private keys, which are stored in personal computers, should be installed in smartphones. Many banks provides intermediate servers that relay certificates to smartphones over the Internet, because the transferring certificates via USB cable is inconvenient. In this paper, we analyze the certificate transfer protocol between personal computer and smartphone, and consider a possible attack based on the results of the analysis. We were successfully able to extract a public key certificate and password-protected private key from encrypted data packets. In addition, we discuss several solutions to transfer public key certificates from personal computers to smartphones safely.

As a new business concept, machine-to-machine (M2M) communications are born from original telemetry technology with the intrinsic features of automatic data transmissions and measurement from remote sources typically by cable or radio. M2M includes a number of technologies that need to be combined in a compatible manner to enable its deployment over a broad market of consumer electronics. In order to provide better understanding for this emerging concept, the correlations among M2M, wireless sensor networks, cyber-physical systems (CPS), and internet of things are first analyzed in this paper. Then, the basic M2M architecture is introduced and the key elements of the architecture are presented. Furthermore, the progress of global M2M standardization is reviewed, and some representative applications (i.e., smart home, smart grid and health care) are given to show that the M2M technologies are gradually utilized to benefit people's life. Finally, a novel M2M system integrating intelligent road with unmanned vehicle is proposed in the form of CPS, and an example of cyber-transportation systems for improving road safety and efficiency are introduced.
Recently, broadcasting companies have been faced with changes in social environment, particularly, the emergence of new media, including the internet, cable TV and DMB, and in the political environment, such as convergence in broadcasting and communications media. To cope with these changes, broadcasting companies are showing increasing interest in building new broadcasting information systems. This study presents how to develop a web-based broadcasting information system for the small and medium-sized broadcasting company. For developing the system, the study describes system configuration, business function relationship diagrams and business flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, major programs, and graphic user interfaces. The newly developed web-based broadcasting information system is expected to increase business productivity to a significant extent through faster decision-making and business execution in and out of the company.

The recent development of information and communication technology has a great impact on the audio/video industry. In particular, IP-based AoIP transmission technology and AVB technology are making changes in the audio/video market. Video signal transmission technology has been introduced to the market through a network, but it has not replaced the video switcher function. Video signals in the conference room or classroom are still controlled by the switching device. In order to switch input/output video devices, a cable that is not limited by distance must be connected to the switcher. In addition, the control of the switching device must be performed by a person who has received professional training. In this paper, it is a technology that can be operated even by non-experts by replacing complex video cables (RGB, DVI, HDMI, DP) with LAN cables and enabling IP-based video switching and transmission (Video Mirroring over IP: VMoIP) to replace video switcher equipment. We are going to do this study, I/O videos were controlled in the form of matrix and high-definition videos were transmitted without distortion, and VMoIP is expected to become the standard for video switching systems in the future.

In this paper, a new high resolution reflectometry scheme, time-frequency domain reflectometry (TFDR), is proposed to detect and locate fault in wiring. Traditional reflectometry methods have been achieved in either the time domain or frequency domain only. However, time-frequency domain reflectometry utilizes time and frequency information of a transient signal to detect and locate the fault. The time-frequency domain reflectometry approach described in this paper is characterized by time-frequency reference signal design and post-processing of the reference and reflected signals to detect and locate the fault. Design of the reference signal in time-frequency domain reflectometry is based on the determination of the frequency bandwidth of the physical properties of cable under test. The detection and estimation of the fault on the time-frequency domain reflectometry relies on the time-frequency domain reflectometry is compared with commercial time domain reflectomtery (TDR) instrument. In these experiments provided in this paper, TFDR locates the fault with smaller error than TDR. Knowledge of time and frequency localized information for the reference and reflected signal gained via time-frequency analysis, allows one to detect the fault and estimate the location accurately.

Magnetorheological(MR) dampers are one of the most promising semi active control devices, because they have advantages such as small power requirement, reliability, and low price to manufacture. To reduce the responses of structures with MR dampers, a control system including power supply, controller, and sensors is required. However, when a mount of MR dampers are used to a large?scale civil structure such as cable stayed bridges, the control system becomes complex. Therefore, it is not easy to install and maintain the MR damper based control system. To resolve above difficulties, This paper proposes a smart passive system that consists of a MR damper and an electromagnetic induction(EMI) system. According to the Faraday’s law of induction, EMI system that is attached to the MR damper produces electric energy. The produced energy is supplied to the MR damper. Thus, the MR damper with EMI system does not require any power at all. Furthermore, the induced electric energy is proportional to external loads like earthquakes, which means the MR damper with EMI system is adaptable to external loads without any controller and corresponding sensors. Therefore, it is easy to build up and maintain the proposed smart passive system.

Smartphone synchronization has been set is stored that smartphone data is automatically backed up is stored When connected to a PC with a smartphone dedicated cable. The backup data is a common technique to analyze the content to be difficult to apply forensic techniques can find out information on criminal suspects. In this paper, the backup data is synchronized to the smartphone through forensic analysis is the study of forensic evidence. In a lab environment to send personal financial information on smartphone, smartphone is assumed that the experiment is compromised. Smartphone's backup data by using the forensic tools in crime associated with personal financial information and analyze data. And, to be adopted by the court will study the evidence leveraging forensic technology. Through this paper as a basis for smartphone forensic analysis will be utilized.
