단상 유도전동기의 단상 및 2상 제어 운전시 동작특성 비교 (Comparison of Dynamic Characteristics of the Single phase induction motor at Single Phase and Two Phase control)

  • The single Phase induction motor is used to small size electronic appliance by production cost of a low-cost. But, it is low efficiency large torque ripple and impossible speed control. However we can change the speed if it similar to the three phase induction motor. And we studied about the two phase induction motor that torque ripple is smaller. So, in this paper the dynamic characteristics of the two phase induction motor are described and compared with the cage-type single phase induction motor to find the characteristics of the torque ripple and current, speed through the time-stepped finite element method.

  • Designing of the squirrel cage AC Traction Motor has many difficulties which has to be small size in order to be suitable into bogie frame, high efficiency and light weight. It means that induction motor for tractive purpose has to be different magnetic and electric loading ratio from industrial induction motor. This paper is devoted to an examination of how this ratio affects overall design concept and hence the main design points for traction motor. Also studied is tile changed coefficients of the magnetic and electric loading ratio squirrel cage induction motor for the traction purpose which has been already identified from tile reference book for industrial purpose induction motor.

  • In this paper, the characteristics relating to the stator voltage control of a small three phase squirrel cage induction motor by means of symmetrically trggered triacs instead of antiparallel SCR's is described. A complete model of the system with 220V, $3{\phi}$, 1HP motor and triac gate control circuit has been designed and tested in the laboratory, and the experimental results are compared with the numerical values. As a result of the above investigation, it is found that the range of induction motor speed control by stator voltage control is narrow.

  • In this study, we described voltage fluctuation characteristics of distribution line during starting and normal operation condition of the small hydro generators. Based on these theories, we scrutinized the starting and operating characteristics of induction generators installed in two small hydro power plants that is connected to the distribution line and researched necessary factors when selecting the generator type. The type of turbines and capacity of generators are different. One is below 1,000kW and the other is above 1,000kW. Two generators are tested during starting, and it acts as motor not generator at the instant that the machine is connected to the grid. After connecting to the grid, the machine rotates above synchronous speed before converting to the generator mode. Therefore the characteristic of the generator during starting is same as it of motor.

  • A single-phase induction motor with it's stator winding splitted into two series windings, of which the terminals of one winding is switched pulsationally by a thyristor type ON-OFF device so that the motor may operate as a pulsational shaded-pole motor, can modulate current waveforms of it's two series windings. In view of current waveform modulation method, a single-phase single-winding motor operates as a two-phase induction motor with asymmetrical axis windings where the starting torque can be obtained effectively without an auxiliary capacitor attached and it's running speed controlled by shifting phase between current waveforms differently. Equivalent circuit for analysis is modified from a double revolving field equivalent circuit of a single-phase induction motor with asymmetrical windings whose angle is 45.deg.C elet. degrees. Analysis and test results show that ON-OFF action of the pulsational shaded-pole winding has the same effect of a series capacitor, and then at heavy loads this motor operates with a small amonut of the input current than that having the fixed shaded-pole winding.

  • 고효율 유도전동기 금형기술은 고효율 유도전동기의 핵심 부품인 코어(철심)의 제조를 위한 핵심기술이며, 전동기 산업분야의 국가경쟁력 제고를 위해서는 필수적으로 확보하여야 하는 기술 이다. 본 논문에서는 고효율 유도 전동기용 코어를 소형과 대형의 2벌의 프로토 타입 금형으로 설계 및 제작하여 프레스에 장착하여 시험타출하였고 그 결과를 고찰하였다.

  • Induction generator is easy to durability and maintenance than the synchronous generator. So, recently Induction generator has been widely applied to small-scale hydroelectric power plant. When the rotor is operating faster than synchronous speed, induction machine can generate electric power. Induction generator has a large inrush currents, such as the starting current of the induction motor. Induction motor has been designed a variety of rotor shape in order to reduce starting current. Since the occurrence of high inrush current cause a voltage drop to the system, it will need to reduce possible. Because the starting current of the squirrel-cage induction motor varies in accordance with the rotor shape, it is necessary to analyze the magnitude of inrush current in order to apply to the generator. In this study, we analyzed the inrush current and the voltage drop caused in accordance with the rotor shape of 1500kw induction generator.

  • This paper proposed a fault diagnosis technique of induction motors winding fault based on an artificial neural network (ANN). This method used Park's vector pattern as input data of ANN. The ANN are firstly learned using this pattern, and then classify between 'healthy' and 'winding fault' (with 2, 10, and 20 shorted turn) induction motor under 0, 50, and $100\%$ load condition. Also the possibility of classification of untrained turn-fault and load condition are tested. The proposed method has been experimentally tested on a 3-phase, 1 HP squirrel-cage induction motor. The obtained results provided a high level of accuracy especially in small turn fault, and showed that it is a reliable method for industrial application

  • A linear induction motor have advantages for reducing mechanical frictions and noises because it has thrust force by induced torque instead of friction force between rail and wheels. An it has additional advantage for reducing volume of bogie frame for light rail transit. The small volume causes the cost of construction down. Recently, researches of linear induction motor for thrust force of the light rail transit have been actively studied. For the rail transit, vehicle is running as follow accelerating and constant speed, finally decelerating speed passing local stops between stations. The light rail transit have only these three patterns of operating. Thus, design of that has different design specifications from others. In this paper, the linear induction motor for the light rail transit was designed considering the goal speed, accelerating time, and accelerating distance for approaching the goal speed. The designed motor was proved that it could meet the requirement of accelerating performance by2-dimensional finite element method and mechanical dynamics equation.
