DSP를 이용한 직접 구동방식의 터보 압축기용 통합 제어기 개발 (The Development of DSP Based Multi Controller for Direct Drive Method Turbo Compressor)

  • 터보 압축기는 구조적으로 임펠러를 고속회전 시켜야 한다. 범용전동기에 높은 기어비를 가진 기어박스를 이용하여 구현하였는데, 이는 관성 모멘트, 마찰손 및 압축기의 크기를 증가시켰다. 최근에 터보 압축기의 연구는 초고속 동기전동기를 장착하여 기어박스를 제거하여 크기와 마찰손을 최소화하는 방향으로 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 150마력 70,000rpm 직접 구동방식의 터보 압축기를 개발하기 위하여 초고속 동기전동기용 인버터제어기, 공압제어기 및 MMI 기능을 통합한 단일 DSP에 근거한 통합제어기를 구현하였다. 이는 하드웨어적인 부분만 아니라 소프트웨어적인 측면에서도 통합 작업이 필요하였다. 이러한 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어 통합을 통하여 하드웨어적으로는 제어 시스템을 간략화 되었으며, 소프트웨어적으로는 동일한 개발환경에서 각 종 제어기가 구현되고 통합되었다. 이를 개발 및 제작하여 150마력70,000rpm 직접 구동방식의 터보 압축기에 적응하였다

  • Authors conducted a deduction of some parameters using the magnetic equivalent circuit method and a verification study of the thrust force control algorithm of a rotary-typed small-scaled linear induction motor for a railway transit. In a LIM, it is possible to express the parameters of the magnetic equivalent circuit into a function of the shape of the secondary aluminium plate and the airgap between the LIM primary core and the secondary aluminium plate. It means that the LIM properties can be changed considerably by the shape of the secondary aluminium plate and the airgap between the LIM primary core and the secondary aluminium plate. So, authors analyzed a tendency of changes of the magnetic equivalent circuit parameters and the LIM characteristics by changing of the airgap of the secondary aluminium plate of a rotary-typed small-scaled LIM. And authors conducted a verification study of the indirect vector control algorithm with constant slip frequency by using the rotary-typed small-scaled LIM tester set on the basis of the calculated LIM parameters. Finally authors accomplished a research on applicability for LIM railway transit.

자가발전형 쿼드콥터 설계 및 제작 (Design and manufacture of a self-powered quadcopter)

  • 본 논문은 자가발전형 쿼드콥터를 설계하고 제작한 내용을 다룬다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 자가발전형 쿼드콥터는 전자기유도원리를 이용해 설계된 두 가지 발전장치를 통해 추가 전력을 얻는다. 첫 번째 발전장치는 상용 BLDC모터와 프로펠러를 결합해 함께 회전시켜, BLDC모터를 발전기처럼 활용해 전력을 생산하는 장치이다. 두 번째 발전장치는 프로펠러의 회전축에 작은 자석들을 포함한 프레임을 결합해 함께 회전시켜 코일이 감긴 보호링에서 전력을 생산하는 장치이다. 본 발전장치들은 상용 쿼드콥터 프로펠러 하단에 장착되어 실용적인 발전을 할 수 있으리라 기대된다.

Control of a Bidirectional Z-Source Inverter for Electric Vehicle Applications in Different Operation Modes

  • This paper proposes two control strategies for the bidirectional Z-source inverters (BZSI) supplied by batteries for electric vehicle applications. The first control strategy utilizes the indirect field-oriented control (IFOC) method to control the induction motor speed. The proposed speed control strategy is able to control the motor speed from zero to the rated speed with the rated load torque in both motoring and regenerative braking modes. The IFOC is based on PWM voltage modulation with voltage decoupling compensation to insert the shoot-through state into the switching signals using the simple boost shoot-through control method. The parameters of the four PI controllers in the IFOC technique are designed based on the required dynamic specifications. The second control strategy uses a proportional plus resonance (PR) controller in the synchronous reference frame to control the AC current for connecting the BZSI to the grid during the battery charging/discharging mode. In both control strategies, a dual loop controller is proposed to control the capacitor voltage of the BZSI. This controller is designed based on a small signal model of the BZSI using a bode diagram. MATLAB simulations and experimental results verify the validity of the proposed control strategies during motoring, regenerative braking and grid connection operations.

  • This paper describes a design of an induction motor control system for industrial sewing machines. On the basis of vector control principle, the control system is simulated by using the ACSL, implemented on a DSP(TMS320C31).A space vector modulation is used as the inverter switching strategy. For the application of industrial sewing machines, A fast acceleration (deceleration) and removal of velocity ripples are required, because a sewing quality and sewing machines life time depends on these characteristics. The designed control system has fast dynamic characteristics and small speed vibration. The result is applied to the industrial sewing machine and result are shown.

인버터 시험을 위한 부하제어 장치 (Load Control Device for VVVF Inverter Testing)

  • The control method of programmable dynamometer for overall test of machine is to load reference torque which is computed from torque transducer into motor under test. But the torque information detected from torque transducer have a lot of noise when the load torque of moter is a small quantity or changing. Thus, torque transducer must have a low pass filter to detect a definite torque information. But The torque delay generated by filter with torque transducer occur a torque trouble for moter torque of programmable dynamometer. Therefore, this kind of system could not perform dynamic and nonlinear load. In this paper, the control method using the load torque observer without a measure for torque transducer is proposed. The proposed system improved the problem of the torque measuring delay with torque transducer, and the load torque is estimated by the minimal order state observer based on the torque component of the vector control induction moter. Therefore, the torque controller is not affected by a load torque disturbance.

  • Common mode voltage (CMV) generation is a major problem in switching power converter fed induction motor drive systems. CMV is the zero sequence voltage generated due to the switching action of power converters. Even a small magnitude of CMV with a high rate of change may circulate large bearing currents which may damage a machine's bearings and shorten its life. There are several methods of controlling CMV. This paper presents 3-level sinusoidal pulse width modulation based techniques to control the magnitude and rate of change of CMV in multilevel AC-DC-AC drive systems. Simulation and experimental investigations have been presented to validate the performance of proposed technique to control CMV in 3-level neutral point clamped inverter based AC-DC-AC system.

  • It is necessary to analyze exactly the torque ripple components in the harmonics as to decrease the torque ripple. Lower harmonics influence mainly on torque ripple. Among the harmonics, the pairs of 5's, 7's and 11's, 13's are dominant, and the magnitude of each pairs of current harmonics are very significant. Therefore, for decreasing the torque ripple, current harmonic pairs of 6n ${\pm}$1's orders must be simultaneously eliminated. In the case of eliminating one of current harmonic pairs, even though the magnitude of the current harmonics is small, It has great effect on torque ripple.

  • A 600HP class high-speed gear driven 3-stage turbo-compressor (IGCC : Integrally Geared Centrifugal Compressor) driven by a 3600 rpm AC induction motor has been designed, of which low speed pinion runs at 35000 rpm and high speed pinion at 50000 rpm nominally. Due to its high speed operation, the system requires very reliable bearing selection and design as well as accurate rotordynamic analysis and prediction of its dynamic behavior to secure the operating reliability. Rotordaynamic analyses of the IGCC rotor-bearing system predicted that the low speed pinion rotor mounted on 5-pad tilting pad bearings has two critical speeds before its design speed and high speed pinion rotor only one critical speed, and estimated critical speeds of both pinion shafts are away from the continuous operating speed enough to satisfy the corresponding API requirement. The forced response analysis with API specified maximum allowable unbalances also showed that unbalance responses are small enough for smooth operation of the system.
