소형 펀치시험에 의한 강용접부의 파괴강도 평가에 관한 연구 2

  • In this study, the possibility of evaluating the peculiar fracture strength of weldment in high strength steels was investigated by means of a small punch(SP) test. In order to obtain the ductile-brittle transition temperature(DBTT) of SP energy by which the fracture strength of weldment in structural steels such as SS41 and SM53B steels had been evaluated in our preceding publication, the effects of notches and loading rates on SP energy were discussed. It was found that the correspondence of SP energy to critical COD at test temperature -196.deg. C showed a linear relation with some deviation. The empirical correlation with scatter band, Esp/(Esp)p = 1.67[.delta./(.delta./sub c//(.delta./sub c/)/sub p/]-0.55, was developed between the SP energy ratio and critical COD ratio of each weld structure compared with parent material at test temperature -196.deg. C. In addition, there did not appear to be a significant effect of test materials and specimen size etc. on the correlation.

  • 금속의 수소취화는 수소를 사용하는 설비의 안전성을 위협하는 중요한 문제이므로, 수소 환경에서 금속의 취화평가법에 관한 연구의 필요성이 요구되고 있다. 수소사회를 대비하기 위하여 대용량의 수소공급방법에 관한 연구가 진행되고 있는데, 기존의 천연가스 배관을 통한 공급방안이 검토되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 배관 내부에 수소혼합가스가 흐르면 배관모재부 및 용접부의 손상이 우려되므로, 국내에 건설되어 운용되고 있는 X65 천연가스 배관의 모재부를 대상으로 수소취화 거동에 대하여 연구하였다. 재료의 수소침투는 전기분극법을 사용하였으며 강도평가에는 소형펀치시험법을 사용하였다. 수소장입량의 증가에 따라서 금속의 강도가 저하되는 현상이 발견되는 재료도 있으나, 본 연구에 사용한 X65강의 모재부에서 수소취화의 영향은 거의 나타나지 않았으므로 수소영향에 의한 X65강 모재부의 강도저하는 발생하지 않는 것으로 판단된다. 또한 소형펀치시험을 이용함으로써 금속재료의 수소취화에 의한 기계적 강도변화를 평가할 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구는 Cr-Mo-V강의 다양한 분극특성들을 이용하여 비파괴적으로 재질열화를 평가하는 전기화학적 기법에 대해서 서술한 것이다. 사용된 전기화학적 기법은 스테인레스강의 열 이력에 의해 주로 야기되는 강화원소 결핍 영역에서의 예민화 그리고 부식속도를 평가하기 위해 널리 사용되는 양극분극 시험법이다. 재질열화 평가는 $10{\times}10{\times}0.5mm$ 크기의 시험편을 사용하는 미소역학 시험법으로 잘 알려진 SP시험에 의해 수행되었다. $630^{\circ}C$에서 1,000hrs 시효된 재료가 가장 높은 재질 열화도 ${\Delta}[DBTT]_{SP}$을 보였으나, 2,000hrs 그리고, 3,000hrs 시효된 재료는 시효 시간이 증가함에 따라 ${\Delta}[DBTT]_{SP}$의 감소를 보였다. 전류밀도의 차 $({\Delta}I_{FP},\;{\Delta}I_{SP})$가 1,000hrs 시효시간까지는 증가하였고, 그 이후의 시효시간에서는 시효시간의 증가와 더불어 감소됨이 관찰되었다. 이 같은 결과는 시효재료에 대한 경도의 거동과 일치하였다. 덧붙여, ${\Delta}[DBTT]_{sp}$${\Delta}I_{FP}$${\Delta}I_{SP}$와 같은 전기화학적 분극특성들과 좋은 상관관계를 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • SP test has been confirmed the availability, however the application of SP test is hampered because the relation of stress-strain and load-displacement is not determined definitely. This study suggested an evaluation technique of plastic flow characteristic for X20CrMoV121 steel weldment through inverse analysis using SP test and finite element analysis(FEA). From the result, good agreement was found in load-displacement curves obtained from SP test and FEA. Also, The behavior of load-displacement curve from FEA show a rule that load is increase with increasing K(strength coefficient) and displacement is increase with increasing n(work hardening index). From the inverse analysis, true stress-strain curve could be obtained for each local structure of weldment. And the CGHAZ and WM, which showed lower load- displacement behavior, have smaller work hardening index, while FGHAZ have the largest index.

  • 원자로 압력용기 저합금강들은 원자로 가동 중 중성자 조사에 의해 재질열화 (material degradation)가 발생한다. 그러므로 계속적인 재질열화의 평가는 발전소의 수명을 예측, 평가하기 위해서 매우 중요하다. 그러나 표준시편을 이용한 인장시험, 충격시험 및 파괴인성 시험법 등은 조사시편의 크기 및 수량에 제한이 따르고, 높은 방사능으로 인해 시험편의 취급에도 제약을 받게 된다. 따라서 소형시편을 이용한 재료의 손상평가기술의 필요성이 부각되었고, 소형펀치시험(small punch test, SP test)은 그 중 하나의 유용한 시험 방법이다.(중략)

  • This research was undertaken to clarify effects of thermal aging on electrochemical and mechanical properties of superaustenitic stainless steel. The steel was artificially aged at $300{\sim}650^{\circ}C$ for $240{\sim}10,000hrs$. and investigated at $-196{\sim}650^{\circ}C$ using small punch(SP) test. Also, the change in electrochemical properties caused by effects of thermal aging was investigated using electrochemical anodic polarization test in a KOH electrolyte. Carbides and ${\eta}-phase(Fe_2Mo)$ precipitated in the grain bounderies seem to deteriorate the mechanical properties by decreasing cohesive strength in the grain bounderies and promote the current density observed in electrochemical polarization curves. The electrochemical and mechanical properties of superaustenitic stainless steel was drastically decreased in the specimen aged at $650^{\circ}C$.

SP시험에 의한 TMCP강의 방향성 및 용접부의 파괴인성에 관한 연구 (A study on fracture toughness of welded joint and orientation in TMCP steel by th SP test)

  • In this paper, the fracture toughness evaluation of the various microstructures such as HAZ, F.L and W.M in weldment of TMCP steel which has the softening zone owing to high heat input welding was carried out by using of the small punch(SP) test. In addition, the fracture toughness with the specimen orientation of rolled TMCP steel was investigated by means of SP test and the crack opening displacement (COD) test and then was compared with that of conventional SM50YB steel. From the results of SP test for TMCP steel, it could be seen that the SP energy transition curves of three different orientation were shifted to higher temperature side in order of S, T and L. But the {TEX}$DBTT_{SP}${/TEX} of each orientation specimen did not show a lot of differences and were quite lower than those of conventional SM50YB steel. The mechanical properties of HAZ structure in weldment of TMCP steel such as hardness, SP energy at room temperature and -196$^{\circ}C$ and the upper shelf energy of SP energy transition curve were lower than those of base metal due to softening. The {TEX}$DBTT_{SP}${/TEX} of each microstructure in weldment of TMCP steel increased in order of HAZ, F.L and W.M against base metal, but all microstructures showed a quite lower {TEX}$DBTT_{SP}${/TEX} than those of SM50YB steel.

Mn-Mo-Ni 저합금강의 SP-곡선과 인장물성과의 실험적 관계 (Empirical Relationship Between SP-curves and Tensile Properties in Mn-Mo-Ni Low Alloy Steels)

  • An empirical relationship between parameters from SP curves and tensile properties has been systematically investigated by experimental tests and FEM simulations. A series of SP and tensile tests were performed. SP tests were also simulated by FE analysis with various tensile properties. It was found that the yield loads(Py) and the maximum loads( $P_{MAX}$) in SP curves were linearly related with the yield strength($\sigma$$_{o}$) and the tensile strength($\sigma$$_{UTS}$), respectively. The yield loads defined from the intersection point of two lines tangent to the elastic bending region and plastic bending region showed better relation to the yield strength than those from offset line. The maximum loads in SP curves showing plastic instability region was linearly related with the tensile strengths. The slope of SP curves in simulation results had a close correlation with the hardening coefficient and hardening strength as well.l.l.l.
