중소규모 화학공장의 압력방출시스템에 대한 안전성 검토 (Review of Safety for Pressure-Relieving Systems of Small to Middle Scale Chemical Plants)

  • A variety of safety issues were investigated for chemical reactors using a toluene solvent in case of a fire at small to middle scale chemical plants. The issues covered the operation of pressure-relieving valves and the subsequent discharges of the toluene to the atmosphere either directly or through an absorber, which represent the current practice at most small chemical plants. It was shown that the safety valve on the reactor may not operate within about twenty minutes after an external fire breaks out, but, once relieved, the toluene vapor released directly to the atmosphere may form a large explosion range on the ground. It was also shown that if the discharge is routed to an existing absorber used for the scrubbing of volatile organic compounds or dusts, the column may not operate normally due to excessive pressure drops or flooding, resulting in the hazardous release of toluene vapors. This study proposed two ways of alleviating these risks. The first is to ruduce the discharge itself from the safety valve by using adequate insulation and protection covers on the reactor and then introduce it into the circulation water at the bottom of the absorber through a dip linet pipe equipped with a ring-shaped sparger. This will enhance the condensation of toluene vapors with the reduced effluent vapors treated in the packing layers above. The second is to install a separate quench drum to condense the routed toluene vapors more effectively than the existing absorber.

중국 통관제도 개편에 따른 해외직판 활성화 방안 (A Study on Customs Clearance Procedure of Korea and China to Vitalize Online Export of Korean)

  • Globalization of consumption, expansion of cross border e-trade, increase use of internet and mobile have led to rapid growth of world e-commerce particularly in Asia and emerging markets. Impacted by Korean wave, online export is continuously increasing, yet Korea is experiencing severe e-commerce trade imbalance. Export growth rate and ratio of Korean small companies are relatively low from OECD member countries. Therefore, Korean government is currently emphasizing on vitalization of online export to China to resolve trade imbalance and to increase export of small companies. To propose detail measures to vitalize online export to China, this study is focused on export customs clearance procedure of Korea and import customs clearance procedure of China in view of online export company. Also suggested countermeasure plan and analysis for the new tax revision plan related to e-commerce which implemented on April 8th 2016. This study have grouped countermeasure plan by short term plan of firms and long term plan of the government. As for the short-term countermeasure plan for firms, first, comparison analysis of tax rate on products is need to decide type of e-commerce strategy; second, if planning to start e-commerce business to China, sales possibility and certification check is necessary; third, through preparation of customs clearance document is needed; last in order to obtain price competitiveness, new logistics strategy and packing development is required. As for the long-term countermeasure plan for the government, I have suggested cooperated bonded logistics service for small businesses and operation plan of show room for promising Korean products.

콜로이드성 알루미나 분말 입자의 응집현상의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 (Computer simulation of agglomeration in colloidal alumina powder suspension)

  • 콜로이드성 알루미나 분말 입자들의 현탁액에서 입자들의 응집현상을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 현탁액 속의 알루미나 분말 입자들은 입자간 포텐셜 에너지를 가지고 있으며 시간이 경과함에 따라 현탁액으 전체적인 에너지를 감소시키는 방향으로 시스템을 변화시킨다. 현탁액 속의 분말 입자들의 응집 현상을 입자간 포텐셜 곡선의 유형에 따라 관찰하였다. 단거리에서 강한 친화 포텐셜 에너지를 가지는 입자들은 무정형 망목 응집구조를 유도하며 응집체의 크기가 작아지고 단거리에서 강한 척력 포텐셜 에너지와 장거리에서 상대적으로 강한 친화 포텐셜 에너지를 가지는 분말 입자들이 밀집충진 응집구조에 접근하고 응집체의 크기가 상대적으로 커지게 된다. 입자간 에너지 분포에 강한 반발에너지 장벽이 존재하는 경우에 입자들이 응집함에 따라 이러한 에너지는 장벽이 사라지게 되며 이러한 현상은 입자의 응집패턴의 변화를 의미한다.

스트립 배열된 다수 부이에 의한 파력에너지 추출 (Wave Power Extraction by Strip Array of Multiple Buoys)

  • The majority of existing WECs (wave energy converters) are designed to achieve maximum power at a resonance condition. In the case of a single WEC, its size must be large enough for tuning, and it has high efficiency only within a limited frequency band. Recently, wave power extraction by deploying many small buoys in a compact array has been studied under the assumption that the buoy's size and separation distance are much smaller than the water depth, wave length, and size of the array. A boundary value problem involving the macro-scale boundary condition on the mean surface covered by an infinite strip of buoys is solved using the eigenfunction expansion method. The energy extraction efficiency (${\varepsilon}=1-R^2_f-T^2_r$), where $R_f$ and $T_r$ are the reflection and transmission coefficients for a strip array of buoys, is assessed for various combinations of packing ratio, strip width, and PTO damping coefficient.

  • 리튬금속을 음전극으로 사용할 때의 안전성과 전극 특성을 개선하기 위해, 리튬금속 표면에 각기 종류가 다른 3가지의 탄소분말을 리튬금속 표면에 물리적으로 코팅한 전극을 제조하고 이를 리튬 2차전지의 음전극으로 채택하여 충방전 특성을 조사하였다. 일차입자의 입경이 작고 비표면적이 큰 탄소분말로 코팅한 음전극을 채택하는 경우가 충진밀도가 높고 표면 거칠기가 낮으며, 충방전 특성도 우수하게 나타났다. 이러한 탄소분말 코팅 효과는 소형 셀일수록 더욱 유리하게 나타났다.

  • Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) is the most commonly used phthalate ester in polyvinyl chloride formulations including food packing and storage of human blood. DEHP is a well known as non-genotoxic carcinogen and endocrine disrupting chemical (EDC). DEHP have shown all negative results in ICH-guildeline recommended standard genotoxicity test battery. In this study, to assess the clastogenic and DNA damaging effect in human-derived tissue specific cells, DEHP was treated in human derived MCE-7 cells, HepG2 cells, LNCap cells, BeWo cells, MCE-10A cells, and female peripheral blood cells using micronucleus assay and in human breast carcinoma MCF-7 cells up to $1.28$\times$10^{-2}$ M using Comet assay. The in vitro micronucleus assay is a mutagenicity test system for the detection of chemicals which induce the formation of small membrane bound DNA fragment i.e. micronuclei in the cytoplasm of interphase cells, originated from clastogenic and/or aneugenic mechanism. The single cell gel electrophoresis assay (Comet assay) is used to detect DNA strand-breaks and alkaline labile site. In our results, DEHP increased significantly and/or dose-depentently and time-dependently micronucleus frequency at the 6 and 24 hr without metabolic activation system only in MCE-7 cells. DEHP treated with 2 hrs in MCF-7 cells using Comet assay induced DNA damage dose-depentantly.

참외의 저온(低溫) 및 Film 포장저장(包裝貯藏)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on Low-Temperature and Film-Packing Storage of Oriental Melon)

  • 1) It was found that melons stored at $20^{\circ}C$ were deteriorated mainly by phytophthora spot and the limits for commercial purpose were 6 days for the control and 4 days for the film packed sample. First of all, alternaria rot was produced after 8 days in control group and each group had cold-stroage hindrance after 20 days. The limits for commercial purpose determined by general appearance were 14 days for the control, 18 days for the 0.02mm and 16 days for the 0.04 mm group. 2) Seven to 8% of weight decrease was the limit of commercial purpose by general appearance. The amount of $CO_2$ excretion was decreased in $20^{\circ}C$ group and increased drastically with deterioration. The amount of $CO_2$, excretion during storage at $2^{\circ}C$ was about $\frac{1}{5}\;to\;\frac{1}{6}\;of\;20^{\circ}C$ 3) The usage of sugar for the substrate of respiration during storage was small and large amount of acids was used for this purpose. The sugar content was decreased with deterioration but acids were increased. The reducing sugar content was decreased and non-reducing sugar content was increased during storage.

SiO2와 3Y-TZP 첨가가 지르콘의 기계적 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of SiO2 and 3Y-TZP on Mechanical Properties of Zircon)

  • Zircon, having excellent thermal, chemical, and mechanical properties, is utilized in refractory materials, electronic materials, chemical machines, structural materials, etc. However, zircon generally shows thermal dissociation to zirconia($ZrO_2$) and silica($SiO_2$) around the sintering temperature of $1540^{\circ}C$, and when zircon particles are small and impurities are present, thermal dissociation is known to occur at around $1100^{\circ}C$. This reduces the mechanical properties of $ZrSiO_4$. In this research, the effect of adding $SiO_2$ and 3Y-TZP to $ZrSiO_4$ has been studied in order to suppress dissociation and improve the mechanical properties. Addition of $SiO_2$ suppressed the dissociation of $ZrSiO_4$ at lower temperatures. It also enabled optimum packing between the particles, resulting in a dense microstructure and good mechanical properties. When 3Y-TZP was added, recombination with the dissociated $SiO_2$ resulted in good mechanical properties by suppressing the generation of pores and the densification of the microstructure.

Automated Analysis Approach for the Detection of High Survivable Ransomware

  • Ransomware is malicious software that encrypts the user-related files and data and holds them to ransom. Such attacks have become one of the serious threats to cyberspace. The avoidance techniques that ransomware employs such as obfuscation and/or packing makes it difficult to analyze such programs statically. Although many ransomware detection studies have been conducted, they are limited to a small portion of the attack's characteristics. To this end, this paper proposed a framework for the behavioral-based dynamic analysis of high survivable ransomware (HSR) with integrated valuable feature sets. Term Frequency-Inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) was employed to select the most useful features from the analyzed samples. Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) were utilized to develop and implement a machine learning-based detection model able to recognize certain behavioral traits of high survivable ransomware attacks. Experimental evaluation indicates that the proposed framework achieved an area under the ROC curve of 0.987 and a few false positive rates 0.007. The experimental results indicate that the proposed framework can detect high survivable ransomware in the early stage accurately.

UMTS망의 $I_{ub}$에서 AAL2 대역이득 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of AAL2 Bandwidth Gain on $I_{ub}$ in UMTS Network)

  • ATM/AAL2는 패킷의 길이가 작은 지연 민감성 응용 서비스의 효율적인 전송을 위하여 표준화된 전송 방식으로 UMTS망의 Node-B와 RNC사이의 $I_{ub}$ 인터페이스에서 음성 및 데이터 트래픽을 전송하기 위하여 사용되고 있다. AAL2의 성능을 분석하기 위하여 단대단으로 UMTS 망의 성능을 분석할 수 있는 시뮬레이터를 개발하였으며 UTRAN에서 음성 및 데이터 서비스에 따른 시뮬레이션을 실행하였다. 결과로 $I_{ub}$ 인터페이스에서 AAL2 다중화의 이득은 Node-B에서 최대 17%정도 높으며 데이터 트래픽의 경우 음성 트래픽에 비하여 대역이득이 적다는 것을 발견하였다. 또한 집선기에서 대역이득은 트래픽의 양이 증가할수록 감소하는 결과를 볼 수 있었다.
