The present study is to investigate the characteristics and determinants of spatial distribution of strong small farm by defining the term, strong small farm (SSF) extracting the SSF households data dealing with apples, from 2010 Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Korea. Spatial distribution and concentration of SSF are analyzed based on spatial clustering techniques. We construct discrete dependent variables on strong and non-strong small farms and then analyze the determinants of the SSFs using probit model, with independent variables including population and economic characteristics and management characteristics. As of 2010, the apple SSFs, 1,529 households in total, are geographically concentrated in Gyeonsangbuk-do according to the analysis results. The determinants of SSF are similar to those of farms' earnings. When located in the apple producing area, and participating in producers organization while selling products directly, the farm is highly likely an SSF. The findings and results of the present study are expected to provide fundamental information helpful for preparing and implementing policies for SSFs in that the present study investigates the characteristics of SSF, which is a prerequisite step for SSF-related policies.

The officetel introduced into Korea in the mid-1980s has thus far been in the limelight as the object of investment for the substitute for small-sized housing and for lease income. But to raise the possibility of succeeding in officetel investment in the future, it has been necessary to make a systematic analysis of the changed direction of the officetel market and the profitability and stability of investment. Accordingly, this study attempted to analyze demand for officetel with a focus on the possibility of increase in the households composed of one or two members, the major consuming bracket of small-sized housing. And it attempted to analyze the possibility of investment in officetel as the investment goods for lease income due to the entry of Korea into aging society. And past analysis of investment in officetel was confined to profitability analysis, but this study sought to develop the stability indicator of the officetel for the analytical purpose. As a result, it is predicted that demand for small-sized housing will increase due to the increase in 1-to 2-person households. Accordingly, it is predicted that demand for officetel as the place of residence will come to increase. And taking into consideration the more serious degree of sustained aging in the population, older people's preference for real estate and need for lease income, it is predicted that preference for officetel as the object of investment will increase. An attempt was made to analyze the profitability and stability of investment in the metropolitan area which the officetel has principally been supplied, in order to analyze the profitability and stability of officetels. For the purpose of this study, Yeoksam-dong in Kangnam-gu, Yeoui-dong in Youngdeungpo-gu, Bongcheon-dong in Kwanak-gu were selected in Seoul as the area for analysis. Jung-dong in Wonmi-gu, Bucheon, Seohyun-dong in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Janghang-dong in Ilsan-gu, Koyang were selected in Kyonggi province as the area for analysis. As a result, it was found that the small-sized officetel had higher profitability and stability than the large-sized officetel. It was found that the area of Kyonggi Province had the larger deviation by size. That is, it was found that the small-sized officetel in the area of Kyonggi Province was significant as the object of investment for stable lease income.
Recently, Korean society is increaseing "1 person family" phenomenon, which is influenced by changing of young peoples' value, aging society and social economic problems. Increase of single households is a result of complex economic, cultural and social factors. It is because as the individual's financial independence increases due to elevated income and education level, the age of marriage is going up and the individualism, which values the individual's value rather than custom, is spreading. Therefore, this new phenomenon will be impact to between social, economic value structure and living space. An increase with small furnitures are also increasing of R&D and marketing plans for 1 person family. Currently, 1 person family is bigger than last decade and that is requiring more suitable and multi-functional furniture for them. However, in Korea furniture companies are more optimization to traditional family size. Thus, this research explore about developing cheap price sofa bed, which is using at narrow area and small place.
In this study the financial performance of small scale dairy farms participating in the government subsidy programme and the impact of this government intervention on the number of animals owned, production and consumption of milk and labour employment in the farm households have been examined. After receiving the subsidy, dairy farmers expanded their herd size. The major changes occurred in the ownership of calves, heifers and cows in all categories of farms. Significant increases in production and consumption of milk as well as in labour employment were observed. The rates of increase for all the parameters studied were much higher in farms adopting cross breeding compared to those in only local-breed farms. The analysis showed that dairying was a profitable business. However, profitability was greater with cross-bred than with local-bred animals.
This paper sets up a two agent small open economy with monopolistically competitive firms and catching up with the Joneses to investigate the labor and capital Laffer curve, taking into account aging population along the line of Auray et al. (2016), Galí and Monacelli (2005), and Trabandt and Uhlig (2011). The paper finds that the higher the market power of firms is, the larger the consumption inequality between asset holders and non-asset holders is in the economy with aging population. It also finds that there is room for government to increase the tax revenue by raising tax rates under the economy with higher markup, as households will work more hours to compensate for their loss of labor income to tax hikes. The expected maximum tax revenue is likely to shrink with progressive taxations, since non-asset holders with additional dividend income work less and consume more. The paper finds that the fiscal multiplier decreases with the degree of progressive redistribution.
With the recent increase in the number of one- and two-person households, demand for small-sized apartments has been on the rise, and lifestyles have seen swift changes to cater to smaller-sized housing. The construction market is shifting toward small-sized apartments, and research is now needed on the lifestyles of those living in small-sized apartments in order to develop suitable housing units. Therefore, this study aims to produce a planning concept for housing units by lifestyle, categorizing residents based on lifestyle and identifying their LDK preferences. Regarding methodology, prior research was reviewed to validate housing-related lifestyle factors and study the lifestyles of those living in small-sized apartments. Lifestyle categories based on housing type were determined by a cluster analysis, and LDK preferences for each lifestyle were analyzed through a survey. These data were then used to propose a planning concept with small-sized apartments for each lifestyle type. Thirty-two factors for categorizing lifestyles were obtained by studying three domains of housing-related lifestyle factors: 'housing values', 'attitudes toward living space', and 'behavior in living space; A total of 648 people living in small-sized apartments were classified into three lifestyle groups: 'True Family Benefiters', 'Smart Shopaholics', and 'Slow Heritage Pursuers'. 'Each group's lifestyle characteristics and socio-demographic features were used to classify the lifestyles of those living in small-sized apartments. The LDK preferences for each lifestyle were analyzed to design a planning concept for small-sized apartment.
Recently, the proportion of single-person households is on the increase in Korea, expected to reach 34.6% in 2035. Among the single-person households, Young single family households are facing greater difficulties due to high house prices in Korea. The government is expanding its support to Young single family, executing various policies such as public lease housings, private lease housings for youth, youth dormitory, etc. The purpose of this study is to understand the exact housing requirement of Young single family households who have different lifestyles with other age groups and provide base line data for youth house planning which will be in use later on. Study methods are shown below. First, this research studied the status and characteristics of Young single family households by looking into literature. Second, by studying previous studies concerned with life style and housing preferences of youth, the tool for investigating preferences and needs of housing environment by Young single family households was composed. Third, survey on characterstics of space usage, preferences and needs on flat composition, and preferences of interior design were conducted based on lifestyle of Young single family-households. The survey was conducted as an online survey using SNS for 150 Young single family holds from the age of 20 and 39, including students and office workers from December 2018 to January 2019. The results are as following. (1) Looking into the space usage characteristics, considering that various activities other than basic functions take place in bedroom and living room of small-sized Young single family households, we need to consider this additionally when planning the housing. (2) Looking into the preferences and composite needs of flat composition, the subjects demand separate bed room and more living room space, and also demand expansion of living room space where various activities take place and additional storage such as dress room in bed room (3) The preferences toward interior design show preferences toward modern style and achromatic color, a representative color. The subjects also prefer floor finishing materials normally used for living spaces, and indirect, soft lighting that uses wall. Also, there are differences between interior design preferences between students (20's) and office workers(30's) due to their different lifestyles. Research is needed to propose practical residential environment requirements and plans through a case study of actual public rental housing and a wider range of users.

The increase in single households, changes in consumption behavior, and the size of marts are becoming larger, whereas the packaging form is being changed to small packaging containers, small packages are being exported when exporting agricultural products, especially fruits and related crops, leading to CO2 at the time of export. Although it was processed, it was difficult to guarantee the freshness of the crops inside the package during the transportation period. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a new method of maintaining freshness for application to agricultural products distributed in small packaging containers as a freshness retention agent to prevent deterioration of crops by microorganisms due to changes in product temperature during transportation or display during distribution of agricultural products. I was researching ways to bring about innovation.
This research was aimed at finding clues of improving residential quality of the Urbanistic Housing which was introduced for the small household of 1-2 residents. It was the laws on communal amenity in multi-family housing that this research concentrated on. Looking into the multi-family housing standards for small household of Korea, Japan and UK, Japanese One-room housing Ordinance of Tokyo-do laid stress on avoiding conflict among residents and getting people mixed together. And UK's concentrated on every individual rooms inside HMO and suggested certain level of qualified life through the careful standards. On the other hand, Korea's just suggested minimum housing with unit households and nearly no amenity except for parking lots. There should be more than a physical space with some area which satisfies basic physiological needs in a residence. To become a quality residence filled with relationship, it is necessary that Urbanistic Housing are also required to provide communal amenities, not as much as regular housing for regular household but much more than Quasi-housing, the minimum residence. And it should be ensured by the legal system to make it more effective.
Like other livestock, monogastric animals are essential components of the farming systems in the tropical countries. Pigs, chicken and ducks are by far the most important animals in the culture of the peoples of developing countries in the tropics. Traditionally these animals are raised in small farms and they are also the bulk producers of meat, eggs etc. in the tropics. In many countries the farmers of these small farms are unable to meet the requirement set by financial institution and other loan giving agencies for agricultural loan. Thus, the small farmers can get neither the opportunity to generate sufficient income to support the family nor to extend the livestock activities. The production systems are characterized by small number of animals with no or minimal inputs, low outputs and periodic destruction of animals by disease. Typically the litter size or flocks are small in number with each household containing 5-6 pigs and 7-10 poultry. Animals are owned by individual households and mostly maintained under a scavenging systems with little or no inputs for housing, feeding or health care. Because of the nature of this production system, productivity of these animals is rather low. The low level of inputs is due to a lack of capital and a low risk oriented outlook. The feed resource base for monogastric is scavenging and consists of household waste, roots and tuber, grain by-products and anything edible found in the immediate environment. Usually farmers select breeding gilts from their own female piglets or to a lesser extent, buy them from neighbors for natural mating. As regards poultry attempts have been made to increase egg and meat production by improving local poultry birds by upgrading and crossbreeding with exotic germ plasma in the tropics. Animal disease present a major constraint to animal production in the tropical region and the extent of the losses due to disease is very high.
