  • This research analyzes the current state of the semiconductor industry delivering the prediction for the future development of the semiconductor industry along with some semiconductor memory's responsive strategies. In the 2014, top 10 semiconductor companies were targeted and studied its growth based on its profitability and growth indications in perspective during three years. The system semiconductor industry with the increase in Hyper-scale customers, proactive actions in the technology consortium, is polarizing caused by increased R&D expense to ensure process scaling limits and high performance, and some results have shown: PC and Mobile slowdown and growth recession phenomenon due to IoT's unclear direction. The leading company is to secure new growth engines through 'Acquiring'. While as the subordinated companies following this consecutive survival through the 'Acquired', the future of system semiconductor industry is to strengthen the market dominance and its techniques by concentrating on the reorganization of the market by few large companies. Accordingly, the semiconductor memory industry is expected to reach the limit of its expansion to domain of system semiconductor, and it is highly suggesting the need of the 'Memory Life Extension' growth strategy.

  • The influences of the thickness and microstructure of Fe layer on the electrochemical performances of Fe/Si multilayer thin film anodes were investigated. The Fe/Si multilayer films were prepared by electron beam evaporation, in which Fe layer was deposited with/without simultaneous bombardment of Ar ion. The kinetics of Li insertion/extraction reactions in the early stage are slowed down with increasing the thickness of Fe layer, but such a slowdown seems to be negligible for thin Fe layers less than about $500{\AA}$. When the Fe layer was deposited with ion bombardment, even the $300{\AA}$ thick Fe layer significantly suppress Li diffusion through the Fe layer. This is attributed to the dense microstructure of Fe layer, induced by ion beam assisted deposition (IBAD). It appears that the Fe/Si multilayer films prepared with IBAD show good cyclability compared to the film deposited without IBAD.

  • The necessity of urban regeneration is recently increasing because of the deterioration existing urban area and the slowdown of new development operations. The urban regeneration is differentiated from other private operations by its public characters, which is the basis of public support. This character demands verification of the adequacy for public finance support by monitoring urban regeneration planning and operation. Therefore, this study aims to show the monitoring indicators and its application in legal system for urban regeneration through the examination of foreign countries cases. London, San Francisco, and France urbanism regulation and planning system show the measure for introducing urban regeneration monitoring system into korean urbanism institution. This study is significant by suggesting the circulation structure of urban regeneration by linking planning, operations and monitoring phases. The monitoring system permits improvement of urban regeneration by clarifying objects and ameliorating efficiency by continuos observation and application of its evaluation.

  • The substantial slowdown of economic growth since the global financial crisis of 2008-2009 is rekindling debate on whether developing Asia should use fiscal expansion to boost aggregate demand. A key factor in the debate is the effectiveness of countercyclical fiscal policy in the region. The global crisis, as well as the fiscal stimulus packages implemented by developing Asian countries at that time, give some clues to this important issue. The region weathered the global crisis well and experienced a robust V-shaped recovery. According to conventional wisdom, the fiscal stimulus packages put in place by Asian governments played a key role in the region's recovery. The central objective of this paper is to empirically test this wisdom by using cross-country panel data. Our main finding is that the stimulus has had a limited but positive impact on developing Asia's output during the global crisis. This lends some support to the notion that countercyclical fiscal policy can help the region cope with severe external shocks. The broader, more fundamental implication for regional policymakers is that the region's long-standing commitment to fiscal discipline can yield significant benefits beyond macroeconomic stability. An important consequence of this commitment - relatively healthy fiscal balance sheets - enabled the region's governments to quickly and decisively embark upon fiscal stimulus programs.

  • asm.js is a newly proposed language for overcoming the low performance of traditional Javscript language. asm.js is known as the subset of Javascript, and usually performs within only doubled slowdown over native compilation with clang. When programmers develop asm.js applications, they usually implement them via source-to-source compilation from C/C++. However, this application development process does not consider the cases where programmers need to develop asm.js applications from existing Javascript applications. To surmount the limitations in current development environment, we propose Javscript-to-asm.js compiler, which enables programmers to develop asm.js applications by using Javscript. By analyzing the result of our study, we demonstrate the efficiency and availability of the proposed compiler.

  • This study investigates the underlying mechanism of YOLO in millennial consumer, especially the influence of perceived economic recession on the present-biased preference. In addition, it was attempted to expand the implicit theory by proposing the individual's entity belief as a mediator for the effect of perceived economic situation on consumers' present-biased seeking behavior. In three experimental studies, undergraduate students who both highly primed and measured negative economic situation showed more favorable attitudes towards present-biased persuasive message and related products. The results of this research provides practical implication for marketers especially in the current situation experiencing economic slowdown due to low economic growth and COVID 19.

  • The slowdown of the global economic market due to the pandemic is causing the global construction market to stagnate, and the use of smart construction technology is drawing attention as one of the main alternatives to overcome this problem. In fact, a number of previous studies have been published that smart construction technologies such as building information modeling and drones can contribute to project performance improvement, such as productivity improvement and cost reduction. However, previous studies focus on the application direction and technical effectiveness of smart construction technology, so the analysis in terms of the contribution that the application of the technology has to the project performance is insufficient. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to focus on the effectiveness aspect of the application of smart construction technology on the project performance. The results of this study are expected to be able to be used as basic data for establishing policies related to the activation of smart construction technology promoted by the government and setting the direction for the use of smart construction technology by stakeholders.

  • This study investigates the impacts of carbon neutrality and air quality control policies on near-term climate change in East Asia, by examining three Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) scenarios from five climate models. Specifically, low carbon and strong air quality control scenario (SSP1-1.9), high carbon and weak air quality control scenario (SSP3-7.0), and high carbon and strong air quality control scenario (SSP3-7.0-lowNTCF) are compared. For these scenarios, the near-term climate (2045-2054 average) changes are evaluated for surface air temperature (SAT), hot temperature extreme intensity (TXx), and hot temperature extreme frequency (TX90p). In all three scenarios, SAT, TXx, and TX90p are projected to increase in East Asia, while carbon neutrality reduces the increasing rate of SAT and hot temperature extremes. Air quality control strengthens the warming rate. These opposed mitigation effects are robustly forced in all model simulations. Nonetheless, the impact of carbon neutrality overcomes the impact of air quality control. These results suggest that fast carbon neutrality, more effective than an air quality control policy, is necessary to slowdown future warming trend in East Asia.
