  • Inclusive innovation refers to different types and forms of innovation activities or performance by which we can get more for lesser cost and which could cater and meet the needs and demands of more people. The essence of inclusive innovation is to help poor, marginalized and underprivileged sections of society to improve their livelihoods and enable them to climb up the socio-economic ladder. In the current phase of economic slowdown, increasing unemployment and inequalities, World Bank, OECD and various governments are turning towards inclusive innovation as a new source of optimism or even as a new innovation strategy. Whilst it is being reframed or packaged as a novel or a new strategy, one can trace its historical roots to the AT movement and the Gandhian ideas of economy and society in the 1940s and 1950s. These ideas have inspired and influenced a range of individuals, institutions and civil society groups in inclusive innovation.

  • The TFT-LCD industry has shown dramatic growth by making technological advances and satisfying consumer needs. It now stands at the heart of the display industry. However, the TFT-LCD market is maturing and is unlikely to sustain the fast pace of growth in years to come. There has been an oversupply in the LCD sector entering 2008 due to capacity expansion aimed at fueling growth coupled with softening demand amid the global economic slowdown and recent financial turmoil. The LCD industry has successfully coped with oversupply on several occasions. Each time, LCD makers faced up to the challenge and responded with a pioneering spirit. They continued to grow by turning crisis into opportunity. LG Display aims to create new markets by developing products based on innovative technology and providing more attractive products through a value-added product planning that incorporates consumer needs. Through a continuous cost innovation targeted at stimulating demand by making products more economical to consumers, we will be at the forefront of overcoming the current oversupply and sustaining robust growth for the TFT-LCD industry. Depending on our management of the situation, the current oversupply could prove to be an opportunity to create even bigger markets for the future.

  • The lithography hotspot detection process is crucial for semiconductor design development process. But, the lithography hotspot detection using optical simulation method takes much time and it slowdown the layout design development cycle. Though the geometry based approach is introduced as an alternative, it still revealed low detection performance and sophisticated framework. To solve this problem, we introduce a deep convolutional neural network based hotspot detection method. Our method made better results in ICCCAD 2012 dataset. To reach this score, we used lots of technical effort to improve the result in addition to just utilizing the nature of convolutional neural network. Inspection region reduction, data augmentation, DBSCAN clustering helped our work more stable and faster.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this country analysis is to examine its current state: economically, politically, legally, and ethically, and look at small and medium Algerian businesses to identify any issues that could hinder economic and business performance and growth. Research Design, and Methodology - This is a case study, an analytical approach, which focuses on exploring and analyzing different aspects of Algeria. Results - Since 2008, the Algerian economy has experienced a relative slowdown due to falling oil and gas prices and the economic recessions of its main trading partners, in particular, European countries. Algeria has still not managed to diversify its economy or establish competitive industrialization at the international level; it has had difficulty shifting from its economic dependence on hydrocarbons. Algerian businesses continue to face obstacles and constraints, penalized in their performance and prevented from success in a dense and competitive global marketplace. Conclusion - The Algerian economy and Algerian businesses have shown positive performance and growth over the last few decades. However, issues exist that may hinder both business and economic progress in the future.

  • This paper shows an effective partitioning of static global row/column buses for tightly coupled 2D mesh-connected small processor arrays ("mesh", for short). With additional O(n/m (n/m + log m)) time slowdown, it enables the mesh of size $m{\times}m$ with static row/column buses to simulate the mesh of the larger size $n{\times}n$ with reconfigurable row/column buses ($m{\leq}n$). This means that if a problem can be solved in O(T) time by the mesh of size $n{\times}n$ with reconfigurable buses, then the same problem can be solved in O(Tn/m (n/m + log m)) time on the mesh of a smaller size $m{\times}m$ without a reconfigurable function. This time-cost is optimal when the relation $n{\geq}m$ log m holds (e.g., m = $n^{1-\varepsilon}$ for $\varepsilon$ > 0).

  • The combination of Simian Virus40 (SV40)'s large T antigen with its replication origin is commonly used in molecular studies to enhance the expression of heterogeneous genes through multiplying the plasmid copy number. There are no reports related to the impact of the SV40 T antigen on plant, multiple fissional, cell-type. This study explores the response of two multiple-fission microalgal cells, Scenedesmus quadricauda and Chlorella vulgaris, to the expression of the T-antigen, with aim of applying SV40 T-antigen to increase the expression efficiency of foreign genes in the two species. Different levels of low-expression have been constructed to control the expression of SV40 T antigen using three heterogenous promoters (NOS, CaMV35S, and CMV). Chlorella cultures showed slowdown in the growth rate for samples harboring the T antigen under the control of CaMV35S and CMV promoters, unlike Scenedesmus cultures which showed no significant difference between samples and could have silenced the expression.

  • The acid stained agents are able to make remarkably thin colored layers on concrete surfaces and have simple processes for applying them comparably. This study has examined properties of the reaction to acid stained agent and cement hydrate. We've observed that the C-S-W autoclave cured specimens contain less Calcium Hydroxide than the others and create tobermorite of C-S-H system crystalline and concluded that the reactions of acid stained agent become slowdown under C-S-W and cause light colors of specimens.

  • Growth of the Korean economy has been sluggish, and this situation is more pronounced in the service sector. We argue that capital misallocation, especially in the service sector, could contribute to this slowdown. Utilizing firm and sectoral level data, first we assess the rising dispersion of the marginal revenue product of capital (MRPK) driven by the service sector. This could represent a widening misallocation of capital. Furthermore, a panel regression shows that within-sector misallocations at the sectoral level are closely correlated with the lower growth rate of sectoral real value added. Again, this is mainly observed in the service sector, but not in the manufacturing sector. Misallocations of other resources, labor and the intermediate inputs do not stand out.

  • Given the intense competition and slowdown in domestic demands, there is greater pressure on Singapore contractors to seek overseas markets for revenue and growth. This impetus, coupled with emerging economic reforms in the regional developing countries, has invariably created numerous opportunities for Singapore contractors. However, mixed results were reported on their overseas performance so far. Consequently, this paper aims to formulate a framework that would assist Singapore contractors to successfully export their services into developing countries. The proposed framework comprises ten critical success factors (CSFs), which are identified from in-depth interviews with eight Singapore contractors. These ten success factors are subsequently classified under three different stages, namely initial, entry and operational stages. Preliminary results show that Singapore contractors are most focused on the entry stage, with the highest number of CSFs.
