Background Acellular dermal matrices (ADMs) have recently become widely used in breast reconstruction, but the correlation between the final expander volume and the surface area of the ADM is not well understood. In this study, the expansion of the surface area of ADM and the expander volume was studied retrospectively in cases of acellular dermis-assisted tissue expander breast reconstruction. Methods Twenty cases of immediate breast reconstruction using an ADM-assisted tissue expander from January 2015 to December 2015 were evaluated. In all 20 cases, CGCryoDerm was used as the matrix, with a thickness of 1-3 mm. No slit incisions were made. Finally, the proportional increase in the area of the fully expanded ADM was compared to that of the tissue expander volume. Results The proportional increase in the ADM surface area was calculated to be from 1.1 to 2.46, with a mean value of 1.7. Additionally, under the assumption that the expander had a spherical shape, the increase in its radius (the cube root of its volume) was assessed. The range of the proportional increase in the expander radius was 1.1 to 2.24, with a mean value of 1.66. The proportional increase in the radius of the expanded ADM surface area ranged from 1.04 to 1.34, with a mean ratio of 1.28. Conclusions The results of this study confirmed that the ADM expanded when the tissue expander was inflated. However, the ADM expanded to a lesser extent than the tissue expander, indicating that the muscle and other tissues expanded more than the ADM when the tissue expander was inflated.

In this thesis, a new measurement system is implemented for depth data extraction based on the camera calibration of the known pattern. The relation between 3D world coordinate and 2D image coordinate is analyzed. A new camera calibration algorithm is established from the analysis and then, the internal variables and external variables of the CCD camera are obtained. Suppose that the measurement plane is horizontal plane, from the 2D plane equation and coordinate transformation equation the approximation values corresponding minimum values using Newton-Rabbson method is obtained and they are stored into the look-up table for real time processing . A slit laser light is projected onto the object, and a 2D image obtained on the x-z plane in the measurement system. A 3D shape image can be obtained as the 2D (x-z)images are continuously acquired, during the object is moving to the y direction. The 3D shape images are displayed on computer monitor by use of OpenGL software. In a measuremental result, we found that the resolution of pixels have $\pm$ 1% of error in depth data. It seems that the error components are due to the vibration of mechanic and optical system. We expect that the measurement system need some of mechanic stability and precision optical system in order to improve the system.

A comprehensive numerical study is carried out to investigate for the understanding of the flow evolution and flame development in a supersonic combustor with normal injection of ncumally injecting hydrogen in airsupersonic flows. The formulation treats the complete conservation equations of mass, momentum, energy, and species concentration for a multi-component chemically reacting system. For the numerical simulation of supersonic combustion, multi-species Navier-Stokes equations and detailed chemistry of H2-Air is considered. It also accommodates a finite-rate chemical kinetics mechanism of hydrogen-air combustion GRI-Mech. 2.11[1], which consists of nine species and twenty-five reaction steps. Turbulence closure is achieved by means of a k-two-equation model (2). The governing equations are spatially discretized using a finite-volume approach, and temporally integrated by means of a second-order accurate implicit scheme (3-5).The supersonic combustor consists of a flat channel of 10 cm height and a fuel-injection slit of 0.1 cm width located at 10 cm downstream of the inlet. A cavity of 5 cm height and 20 cm width is installed at 15 cm downstream of the injection slit. A total of 936160 grids are used for the main-combustor flow passage, and 159161 grids for the cavity. The grids are clustered in the flow direction near the fuel injector and cavity, as well as in the vertical direction near the bottom wall. The no-slip and adiabatic conditions are assumed throughout the entire wall boundary. As a specific example, the inflow Mach number is assumed to be 3, and the temperature and pressure are 600 K and 0.1 MPa, respectively. Gaseous hydrogen at a temperature of 151.5 K is injected normal to the wall from a choked injector.A series of calculations were carried out by varying the fuel injection pressure from 0.5 to 1.5MPa. This amounts to changing the fuel mass flow rate or the overall equivalence ratio for different operating regimes. Figure 1 shows the instantaneous temperature fields in the supersonic combustor at four different conditions. The dark blue region represents the hot burned gases. At the fuel injection pressure of 0.5 MPa, the flame is stably anchored, but the flow field exhibits a high-amplitude oscillation. At the fuel injection pressure of 1.0 MPa, the Mach reflection occurs ahead of the injector. The interaction between the incoming air and the injection flow becomes much more complex, and the fuel/air mixing is strongly enhanced. The Mach reflection oscillates and results in a strong fluctuation in the combustor wall pressure. At the fuel injection pressure of 1.5MPa, the flow inside the combustor becomes nearly choked and the Mach reflection is displaced forward. The leading shock wave moves slowly toward the inlet, and eventually causes the combustor-upstart due to the thermal choking. The cavity appears to play a secondary role in driving the flow unsteadiness, in spite of its influence on the fuel/air mixing and flame evolution. Further investigation is necessary on this issue. The present study features detailed resolution of the flow and flame dynamics in the combustor, which was not typically available in most of the previous works. In particular, the oscillatory flow characteristics are captured at a scale sufficient to identify the underlying physical mechanisms. Much of the flow unsteadiness is not related to the cavity, but rather to the intrinsic unsteadiness in the flowfield, as also shown experimentally by Ben-Yakar et al. [6], The interactions between the unsteady flow and flame evolution may cause a large excursion of flow oscillation. The work appears to be the first of its kind in the numerical study of combustion oscillations in a supersonic combustor, although a similar phenomenon was previously reported experimentally. A more comprehensive discussion will be given in the final paper presented at the colloquium.
The objective of the present experiments were to determine whether micromanipulative and electro-stimulation conditions for blastomere survival overlapped those for oocyte activation in porcine. Eggs selected for in vitro development potential of blastomeres isolated from 4-cell embryos and oocyte activation by electrostimulation were equilibrated for 5~10 min, in 0.3M sucrose solution containing 7.5$\mu\textrm{g}$/ml cytochalasin B, and then electrostimulated for 30$\mu$sec using one pulse of 100, 120, 150 or 180 volts DC with electrodes 0.2mm apart. Single blastomeres were inserted into empty zona pellucida prior to electrostimulaticn. Then they were cultured in 20${mu}ell$ drops of fresh BECM to observe their developmental ability in vitro in a humidified incubat or at 38.5$^{\circ}C$. The results obtained from these experiments are as follows : 1. When one pulse of 100, 120, 150 or 180 volts DC for 30$\mu$sec were applied to porcine oocytes having the slit formed on zona pellucida for activation, activation rates were 65.1, 66.7, 70.7 and 91.7%, respectively. Higher activation rate was observed in 180V. 2. Infact oocytes incubated for 30 min, in 0.3M sucrose solution after electrostimulation were significantally different from control group with increasing of voltages(p<0.05). When voltages used for electrostimulation were increased, activation rates of oocytes were improved in all treatment groups. 3. When zona punctured-oocytes were only electrostimulated, or incubated in 0.3M sucrose solution for 30 min. after electrostimulation at 180 volt DC, activation rates were 90.5 and 95.5%, respectively. And activation rates of zona punctured-oocytes were significantly different from the groups for which zona pellucida was not punctured(P<0.05). 4. When single blastomeres form 4-cell transferred into empty zona pellucida were incubated for 0, 15 and 30 min. in 0.3M sucrose solution after electrostimulation using one pulse of 180 volt DC for 30 $\mu$sec, developmental rates of electrostimulated-single blastomeres to blastocyst were 72.5, 59.0 and 51.2%, respectively, and the ratio of control group developed to blastocyst were 80.0%. 5. The average cell number in electrostimulated-blastomeres developed to blastocyst were 7.9~10.8, and reduced than the cell number in diploid control ; Also cell number decreased with increasing of voltages. The results of these experiments indicate that the optimal condition for achieving in vitro developmental ability of single 4-cell blastomeres and oocyte activatin is 1 pulse, duration 30 $\mu$sec. in 180 volt, and incubation of blastomeres and oocytes in 0.3M sucrose solution after electrostimulation was not significantally different from another treatment groups. The results also show that this condition is suitable for nuclear transplantation using porcine eggs.

In the RFID system using ISM-band, The tag mounted at the object has used the DC power by rectifying the RF signals of the small antenna for operating the micro-controller and memory. The performance of the tag would be reduced because of the second harmonics generated by the nonlinearity of the semiconductor and the spurious signal excited the high order mode of the antenna. This paper has realized the novel type low-pass filter with "the Stub-I type DGS slot structure" to improve the efficiency of the tag by suppressing the harmonics. The optimized frequency character at the pass-band/stop-band has obtained by tuning the stub width and slit width of I type slot. The measured result of the LPF has the cutoff frequency 3.25 GHz, the insertion loss about -0.29~-0.3 dB at pass-band 2.4 GHz~2.5 GHz, the return loss about -27.688~-33.665 dB at pass-band with a good performance, and the suppression character is about -19.367 dB at second harmonics frequency 4.9 GHz. This DGS LPF may be applied the various application as the RFID, WLAN to improve the efficiency of the system by suppressing the harmonics and spurious signals.

In this paper, a novel wideband notched compact UWB antenna is designed to satisfy the licensed UWB frequency bandwidth($3.1{\sim}4.8$ GHz, $7.1{\sim}10.2$ GHz) by symmetrically arranging two adjacent sectorial loop antennas. The wideband($4.8{\sim}7.1$ GHz) notch can be obtained by inserting the inverted-L shaped slits on the patch. The designed UWB antenna has return loss lower than -10dB at 3.1 GHz and over, group delay value lower than 1 ns and the linear phase property. The optimized UWB antenna inserted the inverted-L shaped slits has return loss great than -10dB, 5 ns of group delay, nonlinear phase and decreased gain properties over the frequency band, 4.8 GHz to 7.1 GHz.

An in-situ experiment was performed to evaluate the pullout resistance capacity of chains which is used as a reinforcement of reinforced earth wall. It was also considered that chain was combined with a bar or L-type steel angle by the transverse reinforcement member in the experiment. About 80 pullout tests were peformed with varying the lengths of chain(2.0m, 2.5m, and 3.0m), the combination of each transverse members(chain only, chain+bar, or chain+angle), and the vertical placement of reinforcements. In the case that uses a chain only and a chain combined with bar, the maximum displacement was about 150mm and load continuously increased to the ultimate tensile strength of chain, and then tension failure of chains occurred. But in the case of a chain combined with angle, the displacement decreased to about 100mm and so it was expected that this combination can constrain the displacement of chain. On the other hand, comparing the yielding pullout load measured in the field to that calculated by theoretical equation, it is shown that measured values are 1.2~3.0 times greater than those of calculated values according to the length of chain, normal vertical stress, and the combination of chain with transverse members. However, the difference in the increment of yielding pullout load between bar and angle is not clear but it appears almost the same increment. It is expected that chain can be safely used as reinforcements of reinforced earth wall, although a theoretical estimation of the pullout resistance capability of chain is too conservative.
A single injection of cadmium chloride (3.75 mg/kg) was made into the peritoneal cavities of albino rats. The cortices of kidney were obtained from the experimental animals at 3 hr., 6 hr., 12 hr., 24 hr. and 36 hr. after administration of cadmium chloride, respectively. The specimens of each experimental animal were prefixed in 2% glutaraldehyde-4% paraformaldehyde solution for $2{\sim}4$ hours, and these specimens were post-fixed in 1% osmic acid. After fixation, the specimens were dehydrated with alcohol and acetate and embedded in Epon 812. Ultrathin sections, $600{\sim}800{\AA}$ thickness were made and stained with uranyl acetate and lead citrate. And all the preparations were observed with Hitachi-600 transmission electron microscope. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The main changes in ultrastructures of the glomeruli observed at 3 hr. after cadmium chloride administration include loss of filtration slit and fenestrae of capillary endothelium that was resulted from thickings of the basal lamina and fusion of pedicels of the podocytes. At 12 hr. after cadmium chloride administration the Bowman's capsules were mostly filled with abnormally thickened and fused pedicels. After 24 hr. however, the only recognized change was loss of fenestrae of the capillary endothelium. And the ultrastructure of the glomeruli were almost normal in 36 hr. after cadmium chloride treatment. 2. At 3 hr. after treatment with cadmium chloride, in the renal tubular cells the vesicles and vacuoles increased in number at the apical portion, of the tubular epithelial cells, the basal infoldings were reduced and the basal lamina was thickened. After 12 hr., a number of phagosomes appeared at the apical portion and the cisternae of rough endoplasmic reticulum were swollen. At 24 hr. after cadmium chloride administration irregularly shaped mitochondria were observed in the apical area, and mitochondria with swollen cristae were found at the basal portion. And after 36 hr. The ultrastructures of the epithelial cells appeared almost normal except for a moderate increase in the number of vesicles and vacuoles. Consequently it is suggested that in albino rats, cadmium chloride induces acute reversible degenerative changes in the glomeruli as well as in the epithelial cells of the proximal convoluted tubules.
Gall development of Nurudea yanoniella on Rhus japonica and emergence of alatae from galls were studied in Jeonju. The galls were formed in late June to late October and slit open in late October 1999. The maximum length and width of galls marked were measured weekly during the period from gall formation to opening. The length and width of galls increased exponentially until mid August. After the 12 September the gall stopped developing Fundatrices (the first generation within the gall) began to larviposit on 24 June and the second generation developed in July to September. The alatiform of the second generation arrived at the final stadium in late September. Consequently, there were at least 4 generations within the galls. Alatae escaped from galls in early October. Correlation between gall and leaf growth indicated that fundatrix might act as a gall forming factor and 2nd-4th generations growing factor. A new species to Korean fauna, Nurudea shirai (Matsumura 1917) was found during this study.

In this paper, a microstrip-fed triple-band monopole antenna with DGS (Defected Ground Structure) for WLAN/WiMAX applications was proposed. The proposed antenna is based on a microstrip-fed structure, and composed of two strip lines and DGS structure and then designed in order to get triple band characteristics. We carried out simulation about parameters. Adjusted the position and length of the two strips and three slits, we get the optimized parameters. The proposed antenna is fabricated on an FR-4 substrate of which the dielectric constant is 4.4, and its overall size is $34mm(W_1){\times}34mm(L_1){\times}1.6mm(t)$, and its proposed antenna size is $17.0mm(W_6){\times}30.75mm(L_3+L_4+L_9)$. From the fabricated and measured results, return loss of the proposed antenna satisfied return loss -10dB bandwidth 360 MHz (2.335~2.695 GHz), 645 MHz (3.37~4.015 GHz) and 1,770 MHz (5.14~6.91 GHz). And measured results of gain and radiation patterns characteristics displayed for operating bands.
