계면 전단 보강근 길이 및 형태 변화에 따른 PC/PS-Half Slab의 휨 거동 (Effect of Different Interfacial Shear Reinforcement Lengths and Types on Flexural Behavior of PC/PS-Half Slab)

  • Total number of seven experimental specimens of size 4.6m$\times$2.4m are designed in full scale with due considerations given to the constructability as well as economic applications. Each specimen is made with different shapes of trusses or hooks along the interfacial surface between precast panel and topping concrete to maintain appropriate shear resistance. Structural performances in terms of strength and ductility under flexural load are examined for each specimen with different types of interfacial shear resistance reinforcements. Experimentally obtained flexural strength are also compared with those of analytical predictions. Based on experimental and analytical studies, design equations are suggested for the developed precast prestressed concrete half-slab systems.

  • This research goes into the field application cases about Flat slab concrete divide placing construction for the Multi-purpose Apartment. It is important to investigate sufficiently when mass concrete is applied to the substituted divide placing and admixture(blast furnace slag and fly ash). In addition, it is improved on the concrete quality by the job mix design which can decrease cracks caused by the heat of hydration, by the good compactability and the substitution of admixture that can prevent segregation when concrete is poured, and by the good conditioned fluidity which makes the efficiency of building construction. After considering the stated above, the sufficient prior consideration is important for a quality Improvement plan at the field use concrete of the Mass Concrete when divide placing and admixture are substituted and applied.

고성능 중공슬래브의 휨 실험 (Flexural Tests of High Performance Hollow Core Slabs)

  • Hollow core slabs generally have not been used for a bridge slab or a parking in Korea. In this study, high performance hollow core slabs, which has been the most thick one in domestic are re-designed and examined for practical use. Flexural tests were performed on four 315mm deep hollow core slabs to investigate adaptability for high vehicle live loadings and composite action with topping concrete. The precast slabs were reinforced with 10-l/2 inch dia-strands at the lower of slab and 4-l/2 inch dia-strands at tile upper of slab, and cast with 80mm deep topping concrete. Those tested hollow core slabs showed ductile failure behaviors which were conform to the current Ultimate Strength Design Method for a span of l0m up to the live load of 1, 000 kg/$m^2$.

Experimental research on sagging bending resistance of steel sheeting-styrofoam-concrete composite sandwich slabs

  • A new-styrofoam-concrete composite sandwich slab with function of heat insulation is designed. Four full-scale simply supported composite sandwich slabs with different shear connectors are tested. Parameters under study are the thickness of the concrete, the height of profiled steel sheeting, the influence of shear connectors including the steel bars and self-drilling screws. Experimental results showing that four specimens mainly failed in bending failure mode; the shear connectors can limit the longitudinal slippery between the steel profiled sheeting and the concrete effectively and thus guarantee the good composite action and cooperative behavior of two materials. The ultimate sagging bending resistance can be determined based on plastic theory. This new composite sandwich slab has high sagging bending resistance and good ductility. Additionally, these test results help the design and application of this new type of composite sandwich slab.

  • A flat plate-column connection is susceptible to brittle punching shear failure, which may result in the necessity of shear reinforcement. In present study, experimental tests were performed to study the capacity of slab-column connections strengthened with lattice, stud rail, shear band and stirrup under gravity and cyclic lateral load. Among them, the capacity of the specimens with lattice are superior to the others due to the truss action of the lattice bars and dowel action of the longitudinal bars as well as the shear resistance of the web re-bar. On the other hand, the strengths of the specimens with stud rail, shear band and stirrup are lower than the estimated strength by the ACI, therefore design formulas of the ACI are needed to revise.

  • 본 연구는 리모델링을 통한 슬래브 확장 시, 기존슬래브와 신설슬래브의 접합부에 작용하는 전단성능을 알아보았다. 실험체의 변수는 강관콧타, 전단철근, H형강, 스터드볼트, 원형전단키로 설정하였으며, 이에 따른 실험체를 제작하고 실험을 수행할 예정이다. 실험의 결과, 충분한 전단강도를 보인다면 이를 접합부설계의 기초자료로 활용하도록 한다.

Prediction of the Effective Concrete Strength for Column-Slab Connections

  • For cases where the column concrete strength exceeds 1.4 times the slab concrete strength, the KCI Code requires that either: puddled high-strength concrete(HSC) be used in the slab, or the use of vertical dowels and spirals through the joint, or the use of an effective concrete strength in the joint. This paper studies on the third strategy. A prediction model of the effective concrete strength for interior columns was proposed using an analogy of brick and mortar in brick masonry. The proposed prediction model is verified by comparison with experimental results and various design equations.

  • In this study, the tests were performed on a series of reinforced concrete strip specimens to investigate a cracking behavior of reinforced concrete voided slab bridge. Also, the mid-span deflections, the crack widths and failure mode of reinforced concrete strip specimens were studied. It was found that serviceability of cracking and deflection at reinforced concrete voided slab bridge which were constructed and designed under verifying serviceability as design criteria are lower than common reinforced concrete member. On the basis of the experimental results, it is more reasonable concrete to evaluate crack occurring $f_r=2.0\surd{f_{ck}}$ rather than modulus of rupture of concrete, $f_r=0.8\surd{f_{ck}}$

  • 본 연구는 전이슬래브의 두께를 줄이고 철근량을 감소시키기 위해 포스트텐션을 전이슬래브에 적용하는 포스트텐션 전이슬래브에 관한 연구이다. 본 논문에서는 전이슬래브와 같이 두꺼운 판요소 해석에 적합한 Wood-Armer 공식과 부착 긴장재를 사용한 포스트텐션 설계방법을 제안하고자 한다.

  • In the recent years, a rigid pavement composed of a flat concrete slab has ken constructed due to the desirable structural strength of concrete, durability and economy. However, despite of precise design and construction of concrete highway pavement, some sections of the 88 Olympic express highway, Jung-bu express highway, and Kyung-bu express highway, which have shown premature cracking, faulting, and pumping before the end of their intended service life, have already been viewed with great concerns by highway officials and engineers. Since environmental variations and traffic loads might be considered as major factors to cause pavement failure problems, the thermal load due to temperature variations between top and bottom surface of the concrete slab was highlighted to verify analytical behavior of concrete slab using the finite element method.
