XML 문서의 클러스터링 기법을 이용한 스케치맵 시스템 (Sketch Map System using Clustering Method of XML Documents)

  • 최근 각광을 받고 있는 지도(이하 맵)를 활용한 서비스는 맵에 접근한 후 인터페이스를 통해 다양한 매쉬업 형태의 결과를 제공하는 방식이다. 이러한 서비스는 사용자에게 정확한 정보를 제공할 수는 있지만 맵의 재활용은 어렵다. 본 논문의 스케치맵 시스템은 기존의 대형 맵 시스템과는 달리 목적에 부합하는 특정 지점과 경로를 XML 문서로 표현한다. 또한, 스케치맵 간에 클러스터링 방법을 사용함으로써 맵에서 표현되는 지점을 최적의 내용으로 갱신한다. 그 결과로서, 목적지점에 대한 경로를 간단하게 약도로 표현하기 위해 설계된 맵 서비스 시스템이다. 본 시스템은 스케치 맵의 XML 문서 입력에 대하여 스케치맵 생성기에서 분석 분할 클러스터링의 과정을 통해 유효한 형태의 스케치맵을 생성한다. 스케치맵의 분할 및 병합을 위한 질의처리 방법으로는 LCS(Longest Common Subsequence) 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 또한, 본 스케치맵 시스템에 대한 기대효과를 시뮬레이션으로 제시하여 정보와 지식을 공유하는 보이는 맵들이 모여 거대한 맵을 형성함으로서 새로운 검색 포털로서의 역할을 수행할 수 있음을 보인다.

모바일 환경에서 효율적인 약도 표현 방법 (Efficient Sketch Map Representation in Mobile Environment)

  • 휴대폰의 지도서비스는 단말기의 해상도와 프로세스의 제약으로 인하여 데이터를 간략화하면서 사용자의 이해도를 높일 수 있는 약도의 제공이 보다 효율적일 수 있다. 약도는 출발지와 목적지의 경로를 중심으로, 주변의 중요한 도로나 지형지물 등을 단순화하여 사용자가 이해하기 쉽게 표현된 형태이다. 약도 서비스를 위해서는 우선 출발지와 목적지의 경로 및 그 주변 도로를 선택하여 약도식으로 간략화하는 방법이 필요하며, 단말기의 해상도에 적합하게 주변 지형지물을 간략화 된 도로와 함께 약도화하여 표현하는 방법이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 휴대폰에서 지도를 효율적으로 표현하기 위하여, 지도 일반화 개념을 이용한 약도화 방법을 제안하였다. 제안하는 약도 표현 방법은 현재 상업적으로 서비스되고 있는 지도 서비스와 비교하여 도로를 구성하는 노드의 수가 감소하고, 중요한 지형지물의 선택 등을 수행하여 데이터 효율성이 우수하고, 경로의 명시성과 이해도가 높은 것으로 조사되었다.

운전자의 Instrument Panel에 대한 인지지도 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Measurement of Driver's Cognitive Map on Instrument Panel)

  • Driver centered vehicle design is the important factor for driver's safety, product quality, and so on. Therefore, people has recently recognized the importance of driver centered vehicle design. Especially, in the focus of driver-vehicle interaction system, it is very important factor to ergonomic design of vehicle cockpit. In this study, Sketch Map method was used to measure of driver's cognitive map on IP(Instrument Panel) that is the basic factor to ergonomic design for vehicle cockpit. The compatibility of Sketch Map method was validated for the measurement of driver's cognitive map and then the accuracy between two groups was analyzed using Sketch Map method. Subjects were divided in two groups, the first group of subjects has their own vehicles and driver license, and the second group of subjects doesn't have own vehicle but has driver license. The result showed that for the case of the first group, the shape of IP in the cognitive map was influenced by IP of their each vehicle. However, for the case of the second group, it showed the difference between IP in the cognitive map and IP of experienced vehicle many times because they have been driving various type of vehicle. So, the shape of IP in the cognitive map was influenced by various type of IP.

Utilization of SketchUp for Efficient 3D Modeling of Buildings

  • The information management system for urban planning, urban management and related decision making is increasing an importance in recent years. Especially, the information about 3D buildings in urban area is necessary for urban management related precise location based service. However, it takes a lot of time, effort, and costs to produce 3D modeling data of buildings. These problems have been found in many studies, but the research to solve these problems is still necessary. In this study, we have tested an efficient 3D modeling method of building to solve these problems. SketchUp was used to test 3D modeling methods with OSM(OpenStreetMap) data. The other 3D modeling method using a digital map was tested. The 3D modeling of building data was efficient using PlaceMaker, which can use OSM data. In addition, modeling was possible through simple editing of the digital map and automatic building generation. The efficiency of the research results is presented by comparing with the traditional method based on the regulation and the stadard man power issued by Korean government. These two 3D modeling methods of building tested through the study can be used as basic data for related research and work. Additional studies should be conducted to improve the accuracy of the building model and determine how to obtain height data efficiently.

인지지도 유사도와 정신적 작업부하와의 관계에 대한 연구 (The study of the relationship between the similarity of cognitive map and the mental workload)

  • The similarity of shape of shape of interface between human cognitive map and real product is the important factor to determine the human performance. Nevertheless, the degree of similarity between these has not been defined quantitatively in recent studies. Therefore, in this study, the cognitive map and the mental workload were measured by SMM(Sketch Map Method) and RNASA-TLX(Revision of NASA-Task Load Index). And the numerical expression of the accuracy point was suggested for the quantitative calculation of relative positional similarity between cognitive map and real product. In the experiment, nine subjects were participated and two kinds of vehicles were used. Mental workload was mental workload was measured immediately after the road test. The result of analysis on the relationship between accuracy and mental workload shows that the negative correlation exists on each vehicle, and the lower score of mental workloads id measured on the vehicle that has the higher score of accuracy between two vehicles.

  • Ergonomic vehicle design is very important for driver's safety and sensibility. Many studies have emphasized the physical factors of human operator and usability of control devices. However, driver's cognitive factors such as the shape of cognitive map have not been well documented. The aim of this research is to find the relationship between the shape of Instrument Pane (IP) in driver's cognitive map and the real vehicle. To do this, Sketch Map Method (SMM), that is an extraction method of cognitive map, was employed to extract the shape of middle-aged driver's cognitive map. In this study, SMM was modified to formulate driver's cognitive map because this process is not being in the existing SMM. Next, correlation was analyzed between individual cognitive map and the shape of real vehicle's IP. The result showed that the position of volume control switch and cigar jack was similar between these but the position of others wasn't.

Sketch Recognition Using LSTM with Attention Mechanism and Minimum Cost Flow Algorithm

  • This paper presents a solution of the 'Quick, Draw! Doodle Recognition Challenge' hosted by Google. Doodles are drawings comprised of concrete representational meaning or abstract lines creatively expressed by individuals. In this challenge, a doodle is presented as a sequence of sketches. From the view of at the sketch level, to learn the pattern of strokes representing a doodle, we propose a sequential model stacked with multiple convolution layers and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) cells following the attention mechanism [15]. From the view at the image level, we use multiple models pre-trained on ImageNet to recognize the doodle. Finally, an ensemble and a post-processing method using the minimum cost flow algorithm are introduced to combine multiple models in achieving better results. In this challenge, our solutions garnered 11th place among 1,316 teams. Our performance was 0.95037 MAP@3, only 0.4% lower than the winner. It demonstrates that our method is very competitive. 공동주택단지의 공동생활공간 구성을 위한 거주자 사용행태 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the Residents¡?Behavior for the Planning of the Shared Community Space)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of users'behavior for the planning of the shared community space(SCS). It was analyzed and estimated that the present status of the SCS of the contemporary multi-family housing sites in Korea and the residents'behavior in the SCS. Theoretic investigation and empirical research methods were used in this study. The empirical survey focused on seeking out user-oriented design criteria, based on the analysis of residents'usage behavior for the SCS. The analysis was made by both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of this study are as follows; First, as to the usage status survey for the SCS, there is a difference in the degree of usage according to their locations. Second, as to the analysis of the SCS through a mental map, the sketch map analysis is found to be a useful research method for the SCS planning by actualizing the residents'behavior characteristics. In detail, the main characteristics in the SCS planning are nearness, centrality, intimacy, combination of facilities and the connection with the main paths of the complex.

공동주택단지 커뮤니티 디자인을 위한 거주자 행태연구 (Users' Behavior Study for the Community Design in Apartment Housing)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest methods for the community design through users' behavior study in apartment housing. This study was approached by using both theoretical investigation and empirical research. The theoretical investigation actualized the concept of community design in apartment housing through a literature survey. The empirical survey focused on seeking out a user-oriented design criteria based on the analysis of residents' usage behavior and mental map. The results of this study are as follow: First. regarding the analysis of the residents' attitude toward the share community space(SCS), it was found that the SCS made a sense as community facilities in apartment housing. Second, regarding the SCS through the metal map, it was shown that the sketch map analysis was a useful research method for the community design by actualizing the residents' behavior characteristics. Third. as to the results of analyzing the metal map, it was found that the considered characteristics in recognition of the SCS were related to the liking with the main paths, cross nodes of the moving line, the location of center. and the complexity. In conclusion, the SCS is the main of community design in apartment housing and the above characteristics in recognition are useful as the guidelines in the SCS planning.

3차원 지형 자료 획득을 위한 지도 영상 분석 (Analysis of paper map images for acquiring 3D terrain data)

  • 지리 정보 시스템에서 발생하는 중요한 문제 중의 하나는 3차원 지형 자료 획득이다. 기존의 야외 조사나 항공 사진 분석 방법은 비용 문제가 수반되어, 기존 등고선 지도로부터 지형 자료를 획득하는 방법이 주목을 받고 있다. 이 방법을 위해서는 등고선 추출, 등고선 높이값 부여, 3차원 지형 복원의 처리 단계가 필요하다, 본 논문에서는 등고선 지도로부터 3차원 지형 자료를 획득하기 위한 처리 절차를 체계적으로 개발하고, 이에 필요한 문제들을 파악하고 해결방법을 기술한다. 위의 세가지 처리 단계중 앞의 두 단계에 대해서는 필요한 연산 및 기존 방법론을 검토하며, 세 번째 지형 복원 단계에 대해서는 래스터 기반 알고리즘을 제안하고 실제 지도에 대한 실험 결과를 기술한다.
