전자빔 증착 열차폐 코팅용 란타늄-가돌리늄 지르코네이트(La2O3-Gd2O3-ZrO2계) 세라믹 잉곳의 제조공정에 따른 열충격 저항성 (Thermal Shock Resistance According to the Manufacturing Process of Lanthanum Gadolinium Zirconate Ceramic Igot for Thermal Barrier Coating by Electron Beam in the La2O3-Gd2O3-ZrO2 System)

  • The ingot fabrication conditions related with the thermal shock bearing phase and microstructure have investigated for the rare earth zirconate ceramic material, lanthanum gadolinium zirconate, as a thermal barrier coating using electron beam evaporation method. The thermal shock resistance of the prepared ingot was evaluated by high energy electron beam irradiation. The rare earth zirconate ceramic powder was prepared by controlling the raw material powder composition of $La_2O_3$, $Gd_2O_3$ and $ZrO_2$ so as to have a composition of $(La_{0.3}Gd_{0.7})_2Zr_2O_7$ which was selected from the former study. Ingot samples were prepared under two conditions. The first condition is prepared by sintering the prepared powder mixture to form an ingot. The second condition is prepared by calcining the prepared powder mixture to form a composite phase and then sintering to form an ingot. X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) were used to analyze phase forming behavior and microstructure of ingot samples. Nanoindentation method used to obtain elastic modulus and hardness of each ingot specimen. Also the stress distribution of ingot was simulated by using FEM method assuming the ingot surface was exposed to electron beam. As a results, in the case of an ingot having a network-shaped microstructure in which relatively coarse pores are included, it seems that the thermal shock resistance was higher than in the case of an ingot having a microstructure composed of relatively fine grains only or particles with the similar level size when the high energy electron beam irradiation.

Synthesis of Silicon-Carbon by Polyaniline Coating and Electrochemical Properties of the Si-C|Li Cell

  • Si-C composites were prepared by the carbonization of polyaniline (PAn) coated on silicone powder. The physical and electrochemical properties of the Si-C composites were characterized by particle-size analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and battery electrochemical tests. The average particle size of Si was increased by the coating of Pan but somewhat reduced by the carbonization to give silicone-carbon composites. The co-existence of crystalline silicone and amorphous-like carbon was confirmed by XRD analyses. SEM photos showed that the silicone particles were well covered with carbonaceous materials, depending on the PAn content. Si-C$\mid$Li cells were fabricated using the Si-C composites and tested using galvanostatic charge-discharge. Si-C$\mid$Li cells gave better electrochemical properties than Si|Li cells. Si-C$\mid$Li cells using Si-C from HCl-undoped precursor PAn showed better electrochemical properties than precursor PAn doped in HCl. The addition of an electrolyte containing 4-fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) increased the initial discharge capacity. Also, another electrochemical test, the galvanostatic charge-discharge test with GISOC (gradual increasing of the state of charge) was carried out. Si-C(Si:PAn = 50:50 wt. ratio)|Li cell showed 414 mAh/g of reversible specific capacity, 75.7% of IIE (initial intercalation efficiency), 35.4 mAh/g of IICs (surface irreversible specific capacity).

  • Silica/SUS composite membranes were prepared for CO removal from products of methanol steam reforming. A support was prepared by coating Ni powder of sub-micron and SiO$_2$ sols of particle size of 500nm and 150nm in turns on a porous stainless steel (SUS) substrate. Silica top layer was coated on the modified support using colloidal sol with nanoparticle. As a result of mixture gas permeation test of silica composite membrane using H$_2$(99%)/CO(1%), CO concentration of 10000 ppm was reduced to under 81 ppm, which is acceptable in PEMFC anode gas specification. Permeation mechanism through the membrane was mainly molecular sieving.

  • 본 연구에서는 취성재료이면서, 세라믹과 유사한 성질을 가지며 내부균열관찰이 용이한 상업용 유리의 표면에 세라믹 플라즈마 용사 코팅한 후 입자 충격시험을 실시하였다. 코팅분말로는 매마모성 및 내충격성이 우수하여 산업계에서 널리 사용되고 있는 $Al_{2}O_{3}$ 분말을 사용하였으며, 충격입자로는 고경도의 STB2 볼베어링강을 사용하였다. 공기압축기를 장착한 입자 충격시험기를 이용하여 강구입자 충격시험을 실시한후, 실체현미경을 이용하여 손상정도를 분석하였다. 그리고 코팅입자의 크기 및 기공율에 따른 손상 정도를 분석 방법에 따라 손상정도를 비교${\cdot}$검토하였다.

  • The properties of magnetic recording materials largely depend on their shape magnetic anisotropy. The control of their shape and size distribution is very important for improving magnetic properties. The silica-coated goethite$(SiO_2$/$\alpha$-FeOOH=1.5wt%) having acicular shape was prepared. The sillica-coated goethite was heat-treated at 40$0^{\circ}C$~1,00$0^{\circ}C$ 1hr and then reduced at 50$0^{\circ}C$ 2hr. When the silica-coated goethite was heat-treated at 80$0^{\circ}C$ its acicular shape was maintained and its magnetic properties were improved(Hc: 1,325 Oe $\sigma$m:138.8 emu/g, Rs:0.56) However the acicular shape of the paricles was broken for non-coated hematite obtained by dehydration at 80$0^{\circ}C$ They were sintered and showed poor magnetic properties.

다결정 Si 기판의 진공주조법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vacuum Casting of Poly-Si Wafer)

  • A vacuum casting was proposed as a new fabrication method of Si wafer for solar cell substrate. It was tried to fabricate a Si plate with good properties and to reduce the production cost by direct vacuum casting. By $5{\sim}10$ cmHg of pressure difference Si plate with $50{\times}46{\times}1.5\;mm^3$ was fabricated. For the preventing of the reaction between graphite mold and Si melt, BN powder coating or BN insert were used. The Si wafer was poly crystalline with 100 ${\mu}m{\sim}1$ mm order of grain size. And there were some twins and dislocations in the grains.

Pyroelectric Characteristics of 0-3 PbTiO3/P(VDF/TrFE) Nanocomposites Thin Films for Infrared Sensing

  • [ 0-3PbTiO_3/P$ ](VDF/TrFE) nanocomposites thin films for passive pyroelectric infrared sensor have been fabricated by two-step spin coating technique. 65 wt% VDF and 35 wt% TrFE was formed to a P(VDF/TrFE) poder Nano size $PbTiO_3$ powder was used. 0-3 connectivity of $PbTiO_3$(VDF/TrFE) composites film is achieved and also observed by SEM photography successfully. The dielectric constant, and pyroelectric coefficient measured and compared with P (VDF/TrFE). A very low dielectric constant (13.48 at 1 kHz) and high enough pyroelectric coefficient (3.101 $nC/cm^2$.k at $50^{circ}C$) neasured. This nanocomposites can be used for a new pyroelectric infrared sensor for better performance.

  • Ni-Cr-Al metal-foam-supported catalysts for steam methane reforming (SMR) are manufactured by applying a catalytic Ni/Al2O3 sol-gel coating to powder alloyed metallic foam. The structure, microstructure, mechanical stability, and hydrogen yield efficiency of the obtained catalysts are evaluated. The structural and microstructural characteristics show that the catalyst is well coated on the open-pore Ni-Cr-Al foam without cracks or spallation. The measured compressive yield strengths are 2-3 MPa at room temperature and 1.5-2.2 MPa at 750℃ regardless of sample size. The specimens exhibit a weight loss of up to 9-10% at elevated temperature owing to the spallation of the Ni/Al2O3 catalyst. However, the metal-foam-supported catalyst appears to have higher mechanical stability than ceramic pellet catalysts. In SMR simulations tests, a methane conversion ratio of up to 96% is obtained with a high hydrogen yield efficiency of 82%.

스크린 프린팅 기법을 이용한 눈부심 방지 기술 개발 (Development of Anti-Glare Coating Technique Using Screen Printing)

  • 본 논문에서는 옥외용 디스플레이의 눈부심 방지 강화유리 생산 방법을 제안하였다. 일반적으로 옥외용 디스플레이를 위한 커버글라스의 주요 사양은 내강도와 눈부심 방지이다. 내강도는 커버글라스를 고온로에서 열처리한 강화유리를 사용하여 그 요구 사양을 만족시키고 눈부심 방지를 위해서는 AG(Anti-Glare)필름을 강화 유리에 접착하여 주로 사용한다. 그러나 필름 형태의 눈부심 방지기술은 PET 필름자체의 내마모성이 3H정도로 취약하여 AG 성능이 지속적으로 유지되기 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 AG 필름이 가지는 내구성의 단점을 보완하고 기존 강화유리 생산 공정을 이용하는 눈부심 방지 기술을 제안하였다. 제안된 눈부심 방지 코팅은 ZBS ($ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2$) 분말을 유리 표면에 도포하고 강화공정을 수행하여 내구 강도와 눈부심 방지 성능을 높일 수 있도록 하였다. ZBS 분말을 유리 표면에 도포하기 위해서는 스크린 프린팅 공정을 이용하여 분말이 유리표면에 균일하게 도포되도록 하였다. 스크린 프린팅 시 고려되어야 하는 주요 변수는 분말을 희석하기 위한 오일의 농도와 메쉬 오프닝 사이즈이다. 이 두 변수의 설정에 따라 스크린 프린팅 공정에서 도포되는 ZBS 분말의 양이 조절되므로 이에 대한 상관관계를 실험을 통해 규명하였다. 제안된 제조 방법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 상업용 시장에서 널리 사용되는 haze, 표면 거칠기 및 투과도를 성능 지표로 선정하였고 눈부심 방지를 위해 일반적으로 사용되는 AG필름과 비교하여 그 성능을 검증하였다. 비교 결과 제안된 제조 방법에 의한 강화유리의 투과도는 AG필름의 89.5%보다 다소 감소한 83.1%이지만 막강도는 7H로 두배 이상 향상됨을 확인하였다.

TiB2코팅이 함침법으로 제조되는 B4C/Al 복합체의 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of TiB2 Coating on the Mechanical Properties of B4C/Al Composites Prepared by Infiltration Process)

  • B$_4$C/Al 복합체의 기계적 물성은 제조 과정에서 B$_4$C와 Al의 반응에 의한 반응생성물의 종류와 양에 의해서 결정되므로, 강하고 경량 소재로서의 특성이 요구되는 복합체를 만들려면 반응생성물을 조절할 필요가 있다. TiB$_2$는 알루미늄과 반응성이 거의 없고 B$_4$C보다 낮은 접촉각(100$0^{\circ}C$에서 85$^{\circ}$)을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 B$_4$C를 TiB$_2$로 코팅하면 B$_4$C/Al복합체를 함침법으로 제조하는 경우 알루미늄의 함침 온도를 낮출 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 TiB$_2$가 B$_4$C/Al 복합체의 미세구조와 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. TiB$_2$를 코팅한 B$_4$C 분말을 졸겔법을 이용하여 준비하였다. B$_4$C 입자에 코팅된 TiB$_2$ 입자 크기는 20-50 nm이었다. TiB$_2$를 코팅하고 제작한 B$_4$C/Al 복합체에는 l7wt%의 미반응 알루미늄이 남아있었고, 코팅하지 않고 제작한 것에는 l4 wt%가 남았다. 결과적으로 코팅하고 제작한 복합체는 코팅하지 않고 제작한 것보다 파괴인성은 높고 경도는 낮았으며, 이러한 결과에서 TiB$_2$가 알루미늄의 함침 온도를 낮추고 B$_4$C와 Al이 반응하는 것을 억제하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
