Dysphagia generally has a good prognosis after stroke involving cerebral hemisphere or braibstem, but it could have serious consquence with dehydration leading to haemoconcentration, renal failure and aspiration leading to pneumonia. This preliminary report was written for main report. The main report will be written to give an objective guide post of management and treatment in stroke patient with dysphagia. The objective guide posts were follows as, 1. Close examination for relationship between dysphagia in stroke patients and other neurological deficits 2. Influence on the prognosis of dysphagia in stroke patients by the grade of dysphagia at admission time. 3. The realtionship between the site and size of brain damage and the grade and prognosis of dysphagia 4. The frequency and prognosis of dysphagia in stroke patients according to sex and age. 5. The rate and speed of recovery with dysphagia after stroke. 6. Frequency and process of complications, aspiration pneumonia, weight loss, sore, in stroke patient group with dysphagia.

The authors report a case of ganglioglioma in unusual site, the hypothalamus. The tumor was completely removed and no recurrence was noted on the follow up. Ganglioglioma usually occurs in the temporal and frontal lobe, but is rarely found on the hypothalamus. We report this case with pertinent literatual reviews.

Osteochondroma, which is an osteocartilaginous exostosis, is essentially the most common primary bone tumor. These benign neoplasms are generally asymptomatic and have a relatively small potential for adverse effects. Calcaneal osteochondroma is rare, furthermore osteochondroma accompanying with gouty arthritis is very rare. Also, the subtalar joint is not a classic site of acute gout. In this report, we report the case of a patient who experienced an unusual calcaneal osteochondroma with undiagnosed gouty arthritis of the subtalar joint.

Hydatid cysts commonly affect the liver and the lung. However, they rarely involve bones with vertebral column. We hereby report a case of a female patient with cystic echinococcosis of the hip bone and ilium. She presented with a long history of frequent recurrences highlighting the dismal prognosis at this rare site. Resection of the hydatid cyst from the sacroiliac region was done with allograft and autograft (rib graft) with lumbosacroiliac fixation. Follow-up of the patient at 6 months showed no detectable abnormality on radiology and the patient was doing well.

The stomach has become the most commonly used site for grafts to replace the esophagus in esophageal cancer surgery because of its good blood supply and ability to enable single-reconstruction anastomosis. However, anastomotic failure is a serious complication after esophageal cancer surgery. Unlike anastomotic leakage due to local ischemia, gastric tube necrosis is a life-threatening condition with a high mortality rate. Gastric tube necrosis involves extensive ischemia due to a decreased blood supply, and an urgent operation is mandatory in most cases. Endoscopic vacuum therapy (EVT) has been used for anastomotic leakage after esophageal surgery. In recent years, it has been successfully used for more extensive disease, including large esophageal perforation as an indication for reoperation. Hence, we report a case of extensive gastric tube necrosis treated by EVT after an Ivor Lewis operation.

Purpose: Pilomatrixoma is a benign, usually asymptomatic tumor. It presents clinically as a solitary superficial subcutaneous nodule measuring between 0.5 cm and 5 cm in diameter on the head or upper extremeties and has not been reported after skin graft. The objective of this article is to report our experience in treating pilomatrixoma which occurred after split thickness skin graft on the lower extremity. Methods: A 56-year-old female was treated in August 2005 with a $0.5{\times}0.5cm$ firm subcutaneous nodule at recipient site of split thickness skin graft on the left medial thigh. The tumor was successfully removed by complete excision and histologic examination was followed. Results: The diagnosis was pilomatrixoma which was characterized by a dual population of proliferating basophilic cells and diagnostic shadow cells. Conclusion: The tumor was successfully treated by complete resection. The authors report this very rare case of pilomatrixoma which occurred at recipient site of split thickness skin graft.

The purpose of this case report is to present a case of free gingival graft for treatment of mandibular incisor labial gingival recession relapsed after laterally positioned flap surgery. A 22 year-old female patient with discomfort and labial gingival recession on left mandibular central incisor was treated. The patient had been treated root coverage on same site by laterally positioned flap surgery, but treated site had relapsed in one month. Exposed root surface was covered by free gingiva from left palatal area. Although gingival color did not completely match with adjacent gingiva, more than 5mm keratinized gingiva was attained. The patient showed no further recurring pain and recession on gingiva after 5 months from the surgery. In conclusion, the root coverage with gain of keratinized gingiva could be achieved through free gingival graft from palate on relapsed gingival recession.

The purpose of this study was to serve as a basis for the creation of new design. For attaining the purpose, an investigation was made into the actual condition or problems of domestic and foreign fashion design, and fashion design information was acquired from the Internet. Then, taking the acquired information as the basic data for merchandising, an attempt was made to work out an outline by using the Corel-Trace program, a widely-used computer software, and to modify it by using the Corel-Draw program. The findings of this study were as below: 1) The informations provided by domestic home-pages were largely made up of fashion news and articles on the trend of fashion, but included few of picture report. Almost all of them weren't developed into a database by item or detail. The foreign fashion design web-site were numerous in number, providing diverse information. They offered not only moving images or picture report on fashion show, leading models, photo gallery or fashion trend, but up-dated data everyday. 2) A way to create a design to meet a designer's target is recommended in this study. At first, the fashion information acquired through computer network would be handled by the Corel-Trace program. After Bitmap image would be converted into Vector image, that would be modified by the Corel-Draw program to create a design to suit a designer's target.

주관절 전 치환술은 슬관절이나 고관절의 전 치환술에 비하면 매우 드물게 시행되고 있는 수술이다. 더욱이 주관절의 골성 강직에 대한 주관절 전 치환술은 증례가 비교적 드물며, 아직 그 결과도 좋지 않은 것이 보통이다. 저자들은 주관절 관절 고정술 후 12년 만에 외상에 의해 발생한 골절에 대한 치료로서 주관절 전 치환술을 함으로써 주관절의 가동성을 성공적으로 얻게 된 예가 있어 이를 보고하는 바이다.

충남대학교 의과대학 흉부외과학 교실에서 흉부식도암 수술적 치료로 흉곽내 위문합 Ivor Lewis 수술후 흉곽내 위천공이 발생한 환자 2례를 치험하였다. 문합부는 문제가 없었으나 경구섭취 후 흉강을 통한 배액이 증가되었다. 위천공은 재수술을 위해 개흉술을 시행하여 확인 할 수 있었다. 위천공 부위는 재봉합 후 늑간근을 이용하여 보강하였다.
