Cross Talk among Pyroelectric Sensitive Elements in Thermal Imaging Device

  • The two-dimensional modeling of the non-stationary thermal state and voltage responsivity of the sensitive elements usually used in solid-state pyroelectric focal plane arrays are presented. Temperature distributions under periodical thermal excitation and the response of the thermal imaging device, which is composed of the pyroelectric sensitive elements mounted on a single silicon substrate, are numerically calculated. The sensitive element consists of a covering metal layer, infrared polymer absorber, front metal contact, sensitive pyroelectric element, the interconnecting column and the bulk silicon readout. The results of the numerical modeling show that the thermal crosstalk between sensitive elements to be critical especially at low frequency (f < 10Hz) of periodically modulated light. It is also shown that the use of our models gives the possibility to improve the design, operating regimes and sensitivity of the device.

복수 K-FIDO 기기 환경에서의 인증키 관리 (Certified Key Management in Multi K-FIDO Device Environment)

  • 생체인식 기술을 이용하여 기존의 패스워드를 대체하기 위한 FIDO(Fast IDentity Online)[1,7] 기술이 빠르게 성장하고 있다. FIDO 기술은 생체인식 기술을 이용한 편리한 사용자 인증과 스마트카드 기술을 이용한 안전한 키관리 기능을 제공하지만 사용자 신원인증 기술이 함께 제공되지 않아 사용자가 FIDO 기기를 원격 서버에 초기 등록하는 과정에서는 기존의 전통적인 신원인증 방식을 이용할 수밖에 없다. K-FIDO[3]는 이런 단점을 해결하기 위하여 FIDO 기술과 인증서기반 기술을 하나의 기기에 접목시킨 것으로 사용자의 초기등록 과정에서 인증서 기반 인증을 이용할 수 있게 하였다. 그런데 사용자들이 복수의 K-FIDO 기기를 사용하는 유비쿼터스 환경이 빠르게 도래할 것으로 예상되는데, 이런 환경에서는 만일 기존의 방식대로 하나의 인증서를 여러 기기에 복사하여 사용하거나, 기기별로 별도의 인증서를 발급받아 사용하게 된다면 많은 문제가 발생할 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 자체확장인증[4] 방식을 이용하여 복수 K-FIDO 기기 환경에서 인증키 관리의 편의성을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

DIMM-in-a-PACKAGE Memory Device Technology for Mobile Applications

  • A family of multi-die DRAM packages was developed that incorporate the full functionality of an SODIMM into a single package. Using a common ball assignment analogous to the edge connector of an SODIMM, a broad range of memory types and assembly structures are supported in this new package. In particular DDR3U, LPDDR3 and DDR4RS are all supported. The center-bonded DRAM use face-down wirebond assembly, while the peripherybonded LPDDR3 use the face-up configuration. Flip chip assembly as well as TSV stacked memory is also supported in this new technology. For the center-bonded devices (DDR3, DDR4 and LPDDR3 ${\times}16$ die) and for the face up wirebonded ${\times}32$ LPDDR3 devices, a simple manufacturing flow is used: all die are placed on the strip in a single machine insertion and are sourced from a single wafer. Wirebonding is also a single insertion operation: all die on a strip are wirebonded at the same time. Because the locations of the power signals is unchanged for these different types of memories, a single consolidated set of test hardware can be used for testing and burn-in for all three memory types.

직류전류측정기의 안전성 향상을 위한 고내구성 보호소자의 가용체 설계 (Design for a Fuse of High Durability Protection Elements for Improving the Safety of DC Current Measurement Device)

  • With the expansion in the use of DC power systems and increased need for system maintenance, the development of measurement devices for maintenance requires high stability. Of the different kinds of DC current measurement devices, the single-shot measurement device causes the input signal of the current measuring unit to initially generate a high inrush current. The high inrush current flows into the signal processor of the meter, shortening the life of the internal fuses and causing failure. Therefore, in this study, the I2t value for increasing the durability of the fuse is designed using the available wire diameter. Operating characteristics for 210~400% over-current of the rated current, which is relatively low over-current, are realized by the plating of low melting tin metal. As a result, a method of designing a fuse element for a DC power supply, which improves the safety of the DC current measurement device by blocking the failure caused by the inrush current, is presented.

CDMA 시스템에서 Time Delay를 이용한 기지국과 중계기 Traffic 분석 (Traffic analysis of the CDMA base station with repeaters using time delay devices)

  • 본 논문은 CDMA 이동전화 시스템에서 하나의 기지국(cell) 내에서 처리되는 BTS 와 중계기의 통화량을 분석하기 위한 연구이다. 일반적으로 중계기는 기지국(BTS)의 RF 회로에서 직접 분기하여 연결하는 방식으로 개발되어 기지국 통화와 구분되지 못하는 시스템 구조를 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 중계기 수신단에 시간 지연장치(Time Delay Device)를 설치하고 실험을 실시하여 Traffic을 구분하는 결과를 얻었다. 그러나 기지국에는 하나의 BTS에 다수의 중계기를 연결하여 운용하고 있다. 따라서 중계기 3대가 설치된 기지국(1BTS+3중계기)을 선정, 각 중계기에 계산된 임의의 Time Delay를 설치하고, 동 기지국에서 2일 동안 통화실험을 실시한 결과 기지국 및 3개의 중계기 Traffic이 뚜렷하게 구분되는 데이터를 얻었다.

  • We synthesize a (Y,Sm)BCO(its composition is (Y/Sm123+0.4Y/Sm211)+1wt%CeO$_2$) powders using polymeric complex method. (Y,Sm)BCO powders are prepared as heated at 970$^{\circ}C$. For measurement of this characterization, We measure XRD and SEM. We use TSMG method for fabricatlon of (Y,Sm)BCO single crystal. The manufactured VBCO single crystal is measured by a magnetic distribution device using 0.5 Tesla magnet. As the result of this measurement, we find that a trapped magnet fields are 550 Gauss.

컨택트 작업 시 햅틱 인터렉션의 투명성 향상을 위한 Virtual Coupling 기법의 설계 (Toward Transparent Virtual Coupling for Haptic Interaction during Contact Tasks)

  • Since its introduction (e.g., [4, 6]), virtual coupling technique has been de facto way to connect a haptic device with a virtual proxy for haptic rendering and control. However, because of the single dependence on spring-damper feedback action, this virtual coupling suffers from the degraded transparency particularly during contact tasks when large device/proxy-forces are involved. In this paper, we propose a novel virtual coupling technique, which, by utilizing passive decomposition, reduces device-proxy position deviation even during the contact tasks while also scaling down (or up) the apparent inertia of the coordinated device-proxy. By doing so, we can significantly improve transparency between multiple degree of freedom (possibly nonlinear) haptic device and virtual proxy. In other to use passive decomposition, disturbance observer of [3] is adopted to estimate human force with some dead-zone modification to avoid "winding-up" force estimation in the presence of device torque saturation. Some preliminary experimental results are also given to illustrate efficacy of the proposed technique.

  • SRM has a characteristic of a robust, simple structure and wide operating ranges. So, recently it has studied and developed in many kinds and forms with the technology of power electronics and analysis and design by use of computer. Also, It is used in a very wide range of industrial applications. In particular, single phase switched reluctance motor has a merit in practical use because it has simple operating drives and control systems, very high energy density per unit volume comparing with three phase SRM. But it must have a starting device. In this paper design procedures of single phase SRM development for blower drives are presented. It is selected the design parameters by compared with design theory of general electric machine and poly phase SRM. Also it is simulated the designed prototype model by FEM for the prediction of characteristics.

Improved Efficiency of Polymer LEDs using Electron Transporting Layer

  • We report the use of fluorene based copolymers containing quinoline(POF66, PIF66) and pyridine(PFPV) units as electron transporting polymers for multi-layered LEDs. Double-layer device structure combining PIF66 as electron-transporting layer with the emissive MEHPPV showed a maximum quantum efficiency of 0.03%, which is 30 fold increased compared with ITO/MEHPPV/Al single-layer device. PFPV layer increased the quantum efficiency up to 0.1% in the device structure of ITO/(P-3:PVK)/PFPV/Al. The ETL with the electron deficient moiety improved the LED performance by the characteristics of electron transporting as well as hole blocking between emissive layer and metal cathode.

High Quality Network and Device Aware Multimedia Content Delivery for Mobile Cloud

  • The use of mobile devices is increasing in multimedia applications. The multimedia contents are delivered to mobile users over heterogeneous networks. Due to fluctuation in bandwidth and user mobility, the service providers are facing difficulties in providing Quality of Service (QoS) guaranteed delivery for multimedia applications. Multimedia applications depend on QoS parameters such as delay, bandwidth, and jitter to offer better user experience. The existing schemes use the single source and multisource delivery but are unable to balance between stream quality and network congestion for mobile users. We proposed a Quality Oriented Multimedia Content Delivery Scheme (QOMCDS) for the mobile cloud to deliver better quality multimedia contents for the mobile user. The multimedia contents are delivered to the mobile device based on the device's parameters and network environment. The objective video quality assessment models like Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity (SSIM), and Video Quality Measurement (VQM) are used to measure the quality of the video. The client side Quality of Experience metric such as Startup delay, Rebuffering events, and Bitrate switch count was used for evaluation. The proposed scheme is evaluated using dash.js and is compared to existing schemes. The results show significant improvement over existing multimedia content delivery schemes.
