  • Distribution Automation System (DAS) will provide supervision and remote control of switches and reclosers such as pole pounted switches and pad-mounted switchgears on high voltage distribution line. Kepco had developed basic function such as remote monitoring, remote control, remote measuring and remote setting at first. As a next step, Kepco has been developed diverse application programs such as single line diagram drawing program, relay coordination program, feeder reconfiguration program, over load elimination program, bad data detection program, section load management program, fault processing program and so on. Kepco is examining to develop more powerful functions for special specification of foreign distribution automation system. This paper explains what is the target for overseas DAS market.

A Study on the Improvement of the Motion Performance of Floating Marina Structures Considering Korea Coastal Environment (한국해양환경을 고려한 부유식 마리나 구조물의 운동성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study was to improve the vertical motion performance of floating marina structures and to optimize the shapes of the structures for the Korea coastal environment. The floating body is connected to a plate-shaped submerged body through a connecting line under the water that has a stiff spring that serves to reduce the heave response. This system, which has two degrees of freedom, was modelled to analyze the interaction between the floating body and the submerged body. The vertical motion of the two-body system was compared with the motion of a single body to verify that the system could perform as an optimized model.

A Facility Design Model for 1300 Capacity School Foodservice with Adjacency and Bubble Diagrams (근접요구도와 버블다이어그램을 적용한 1300식 규모의 학교급식 시설 설계 모델)

  • This study aimed to suggest a 1300 scale of a middle school foodservice facility floor plan which was compliant to the principle of HACCP, as well as ensuring food and work safety, and the flow of personnel and food materials. which consisted of 46 nutrition teachers and 6 experts, responded with a questionnaire on the relationship of functional area and space. Using their opinions, key principles for the design of the facility were single direction movement of food materials, customers and workers; minimization of the cross-contamination through the separation of functional space; and securement of customer-focused efficiency; staff-centered convenience and efficiency; and work and food safety. After the completion of an adjacency diagram, bubble diagram and program statement, the functional areas of a 1300 scale middle school food-service facility were allocated as follows: $9.9\;m^2$ for the receiving area, $56.1\;m^2$ for the pre-preparation area, $10.5\;m^2$ for the food storage area, $6.0\;m^2$ for the supplies storage area, $97.8\;m^2$ for the cooking area, $33.6\;m^2$ for the service area, $52.5\;m^2$ for dish washing area, cafeteria $410.5\;m^2$, $4.5\;m^2$ for the front room, for a total of $725.8\;m^2$. Expert groups have pointed to limitations within this model as there are no windows in the office for the influx of fresh outside air and a need for the straight line installation of steam-jacket and frying kettles on the sides of windows. This study can be useful as the guidelines for estimating the investment cost of the facility and placing the placement of functional areas and equipment in the renovation of the facility. It can be also useful data for a methodology of foodservice facility design.

Evaluation of the operating reliability on the concurrent heating-cooling system air conditioner with high-head and long-line conditions (동시냉난방 시스템 에어컨의 고낙차 장배관 운전 신뢰성 평가)

  • The heating and cooling performance of system multi-air conditioner under high-head and long-line conditions are experimentally investigated. The maximum head and tube length were 110 m and 1000 m, respectively. The experimental system was composed of 4 outdoor units with module systems, and 13 indoor units which were joined with the mode change unit by single-tube circuit. Field tests without indoor and outdoor temperature control were performed in a general office building with 22 different working conditions. Experimental results were prepared on the p-h diagram. Also the oil level in the compressor was normally maintained at the safety zone for the system multi-air conditioner with high-head and long-line conditions.

  • Recently, IED engineering method in home and abroad require high ability of expert based on IEC 61850 since IED engineering has been carrying out based on text. In this paper, Proposed easy IED engineering method is able to provide best solution to without specialized knowledge about IEC 61850. Also, This paper deals with easy method in order to provide to accomplish using SLD(single line diagram) and SSD(system specification description) file based on SLD.

  • 최근 배전자동화시스템의 도입으로 배전 계통도를 이용한 원격감시 및 제어가 가능하게 되었다. 그러나 배전자동화시스템에 사용되는 계통도는 국가기본 지형도상에 전력설비의 심볼을 그려 넣은 것으로 운전상황에 따라 변경되는 계통의 연결 관계를 정확히 파악할 수 없다. 배전자동화시스템에서 사용되는 단선도는 사람이 작성하고 저장하여 사용할 수도 있고 컴퓨터로 필요할 때마다 새로 작성 할 수도 있다 전자의 경우 배전계통이 변경될 때 마다 단선도를 다시 그려야한다는 문제점이 있기 때문에 본 논문에서는 설비의 연결정보를 기반으로 하여 회선별단선도를 자동으로 생성하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 이와 같이 생성된 단선도를 배전자동화시스템에 적용한다면 보다 효율적으로 배전계통을 운영 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 알고리즘들의 유용성을 검증하기위해서 모의 배전계통을 구성하고 회선별 단선도 자동생성 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

  • This paper presents the various application programs for the Distribution Automation System (DAS) of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO)'s distribution system. These programs are developed to allow for optimal operation in the areas of feeder automation, relay coordination, loss minimization and so on. They are single line diagram auto creation programs for the feeder, service restoration program, protection coordination program, data error detection program, and optimal network reconfiguration program. The details of these programs are presented for validity and effectiveness.

  • The characteristics of sheet metal process are little loss of material during process, the short processing time and the excellent price and strength. It has been widely used in autobody, electronic components, aircraftbody, etc. Lancing is a press operation in which a single-line cut or slit is made on part way across the strip stock, without removing any metal. In this paper, we examined the validity of finite element method analysis on the automobile CTR-PLR -L/R stamping process by using the lancing engineering method. As a result, it has shown that the proper lancing engineering method could prevent fracturing by improving sheet metal flow.

  • Because the existing Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for the conventional substation cannot dynamically indicate the configuration information of the Substation Automation System (SAS). In this paper, an intelligent station HMI is proposed for IEC 61850 based substation. The program of the proposed HMI not only can automatically generate the layout of single line diagram, but can also indicate the communication network and functions of IEDs by reading SCL files. It greatly helps monitor the operation status, communication network and each IED dynamically, such as failure detection in SAS. Furthermore, this paper presents the possibility of developing new software for SAS with the full use of IEC 61850-6. Once the software is complete, there is no need to change it when the substation is upgraded or when it is migrated to other IEC 61850 based substations, which is a cost-effective solution.
