산업폐수의 효율적 처리를 위한 응집제의 주입방법 결정 (Determination of the Coagulant Injection Methods for Efficient Treatment of Industrial Wastewater)

  • 폐수수탁처리업에 반입되는 산업폐수의 원수 성상이 매일 달라짐에 따라 전처리 공정인 응집침전공정의 효율적 운전이 어려운 실정이며, 이로 인해 후처리공정인 증발농축 및 대체 공정인 membrane 공정의 부하원인이 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 산업폐수의 효율적 처리를 위해 응집제 주입 방법별(단독주입, 동시주입, 순차주입, 역주입) 응집특성을 비교하기 위해 NaOH 주입 전 후 폐수 원수를 채수하여 실험하였다. 응집실험은 Jar-tester를 이용하여 진행하였다. 응집제주입방법별 TDS 제거효율은 순차주입(2.8 %) < 단독주입(3.9 %) < 동시주입(8.1 %) < 역주입(9.6 %) 순으로, TOC 제거효율은 단독주입(84.3 %) < 역주입(86.2 %) < 순차주입(88.6 %) < 동시주입(89.1 %) 순으로, 탁도 제거효율은 단독주입(99.7 %) < 순차주입(99.8 %) ${\fallingdotseq}$ 역주입(99.8 %) < 동시주입(99.9 %) 순으로 각각 나타내어, 이를 종합적으로 고려하여 판단한 결과 순차주입방법(무기응집제${\rightarrow}$고분자응집제)보다 무기응집제 및 고분자응집제를 동시에 주입하는 방법이 더 효율적인 것으로 나타났다.

  • A new combustion strategy called LIFC(Late Injection & Fast Combustion) was developed for simultaneous reduction of particulate matter(PM) and nitrogen oxides(NOx) in exhaust emission of diesel engines, In this study, effects of injection timing and injection pressure under relatively high EGR rate were investigated. The experiments were conducted in a conventional engine over a range of commercial engine speed. The test engine could be operated in LIFC up to 2000rpm / bmep 5 bar condition with significant reduction of NOx and PM. The experimental results showed potential for the mechanism of the simultaneous reduction of NOx and PM from HSDI diesel engines.

  • This paper is study on simultaneous reduction of NOx and soot for direct injection diesel engine using high and low cetane fuels. The stratified injection system was applied for diesel engine to use high and low cetane fuel. In this study, diesel fuel was used as high cetane fuels, methanol was used as low cetane fuels. Some parts of the injection system, ie. Nozzle holder. delivery vale, was remodeled to inject dual fuel sequentially from one injector. The leak injection quantity ratio of dual fuel was certificated by volumetric ratio at injection quantity experiment. According as concentration of low cetane fuel was varied, combustion experiment was performed using Toroidal and Complex chamber. Also, exhaust gas and fuel consumption were measured at the same time. Simultaneous reduction of NOx and soot was achieved at complex chamber regardless of concentration of low cetane fuel. However, according as concentration of low cetane fuel was increased, THC and CO was increased.

Precipitated Calcium Carbonate Synthesis by Simultaneous Injection to Produce Nano Whisker Aragonite

  • The synthesis of pure calcium carbonate nanocrystals was achieved using a simultaneous injection method to produce nano particles of uniform size. These were characterized using scanning electron microscopy and powder X-ray diffraction. The nano particles were needle-shaped aragonite polymorphs, approximately 100-200 nm in length. The aragonite polymorph of calcium carbonate was prepared using aqueous solutions of $CaCl_2$ and $Na_2CO_3$, which were injected simultaneously into double distilled water at $50^{\circ}C$ and then allowed to react for 1.5 h. The resulting whisker-type nano aragonite with high aspect ratio (30) is biocompatible and potentially suitable for applications in light weight plastics, as well as in the medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and paint industries.

  • This study was to investigate the effects of water induction through the air intake system on the characteristics of combustion and exhaust emissions in an IDI diesel engine. The fuel injection timing was also controlled to investigate a method for the simultaneous reduction of smoke and NOx when water was injected into the combustion chamber. The formation of NOx was significantly suppressed by decreasing the gas peak temperature during the initial combustion process because the water played a role as a heat sink during evaporating in the combustion chamber, while the smoke was slightly increased with increased water amount. Also, NOx emission was significantly decreased with increase in water amount. A simultaneous reduction in smoke and NOx emissions was obtained when water was injected into the combustion chamber by retarding more 2$^{\circ}C$A of the fuel injection timing than without water injection.

  • Simultaneous filling is a goal in plastic injection mold that has multi cavities. The moldings which have not been filled at the same time have undesired faults such as dimension inaccuracy, residual stress, law mechanical strength, etc. The best way to simultaneous fill is to be injected in a geometrically balanced runner system. In a general processing, however, in balanced runner system mold, filling imbalance would be observed in cavities. These phenomena result from molten polymer's characteristics and circumstances in balanced runner. In this study, the degree of filling imbalance (DFI) was defined for showing rate of filling imbalance in geometrically balanced injection mold that has 8 cavities. Before the main experiment, an injection molding simulation was conducted to know a pattern of filling imbalance with Moldflow software. There were somewhat differences between results of experiment and simulation about the filling imbalance. The reason for the difference was that the software have not concerned about a situation in a real flow channel. It was also investigated how the injection speed affected on filling imbalance in the experiment.

  • 컴팩션 그라우팅 공법, 일명 CGS (Compaction Grouting System) 공법은 저유동성 그라우트재의 주입을 통해 주변 지반을 압밀·다짐하여 원지반의 물성 향상은 물론 지중 그라우트 구근체의 형성을 통해 복합지반 거동을 기대함으로써 지반을 개량하는 공법이다. 그러나 기존 컴팩션 그라우팅 공법에 사용되는 펌프는 한 번에 여러 공을 동시에 주입하기 어려워 시공 물량이 많아 신속함이 요구되는 공사 시에 시공 효율성 확보가 어려웠다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 3공까지 동시주입이 가능한 다중 동시주입 컴팩션 그라우팅 공법을 개발하여 현장시험을 통해 지반 보강효과의 적용성을 평가하였다. 현장시험은 점성토 연약지반에 단일공과 3공 삼각 배열로 각각 시험시공하고 그라우팅 주입 전·후 표준관입시험(SPT)을 수행하여 그 결과를 비교·분석하였다. 최종적으로 점성토 연약지반에서 다중 동시주입 컴팩션 그라우팅 공법의 적용 시, 요구되는 적정 동시주입 이격거리와 충분한 지반 안정화 시간 확보의 중요성에 대해 제언하였다.

Analysis of Spectral Characteristics of Semiconductor Lasers under Strong Optical Injection Locking for Tens of Giga Hz Signal Generation

  • we have analyzed tens of Giga pulse signal generation using sideband injection locking scheme. The numerical model for semiconductor lasers under the strong optical injection is based on the Lang's equation and has been extended in order to take into account the simultaneous injection of the multiple sidebands of the current-modulated laser. The numerical simulation results show that the unselected sidebands will affect the optical and RF-spectral characteristics even though the semiconductor laser is locked to the target sidebands.

자동차 주유구 커버에 대한 사출성형과 2색 코팅 동시 구현에 관한 연구 (A study on simultaneous injection molding and two-color coating for car gas cap cover)

  • Mold design for in-mold coating was carried out to achieve simultaneous injection molding and two-color coating for car gas cap cover. The developed mold includes one core and three cavities which are composed of a substrate cavity and two coating cavities. To provide a sealing edge for complete seal during the second coating, the first coated material was used at the boundary between the first coating and the second one, and injection molded substrate was used at the parting line. The materials used were PC/ABS for substrate and 2-component Polyurea for coating. Through experiments, it was found that the suggested sealing edges were effective for complete seal during the second coating. In cavity pressure traces, there were three peaks caused by mold closing, coating-material injection and cleaning-piston advancement inside the mixing head. The cavity pressure increased with decreasing coating thickness.
