외연적 적분 기법을 적용한 Fully Flexible Cell 분자 동영학 시뮬레이션 (Explicit time integration algorithm for fully flexible cell simulation)

  • Fully flexible cell preserves Hamiltonian in structure, so the symplectic time integrator is applied to the equations of motion. Primarily, generalized leapfrog time integration (GLF) is applicable, but the equations of motion by GLF have some of implicit formulas. The implicit formulas give rise to a complicate calculation for coding and need an iteration process. In this paper, the time integration formulas are obtained for the fully flexible cell molecular dynamics simulation by using the splitting time integration. It separates flexible cell Hamiltonian into terms corresponding to each of Hamiltonian term, so the simple and completely explicit recursion formula was obtained. The explicit formulas are easy to implementation for coding and may be reduced the integration time because they are not need iteration process. We are going to compare the resulting splitting time integration with the implicit generalized leapfrog time integration.

재고풀링효과의 시뮬레이션 연구 (A Simulation Study for the Inventory Pooling Effect)

  • We analyzed the effect of inventory pooling on the system where multiple depot was used to replenish retailers and where inventories are kept only on the depots. Inventory pooling consists of inventory integration and inventory exchange. We used simulation for checking the cost saving effect of reducing the number of depot (Inventory Integration) for the case when inventories kept on every depots are commonly used for all retailers when certain depot have stock out for their retailer assigned to them (Inventory Exchange) with the constraint of service level. Simulation on wide range of parameter settings results show that cost saving effect from inventory integration diminishes when transportation cost between depot and retailers or stock out cost, or retailer number increases. The effect becomes stronger when the demands on retailers have bigger variance or average. Also the results show that the cost saving effect from inventory exchange becomes stronger on the same situation when inventory integration effect becomes stronger.

  • Electric Power Steering (EPS) mechanism has become widely equipped in passenger vehicle due to the environmental consciousness and higher fuel efficiency. This paper describes the development of co-simulation technique and simulation integration technique of EPS control system with dynamic vehicle model. A full vehicle model interacted with EPS control algorithm is concurrently simulated on a single bump road condition. Dynamic responses of vehicle chassis and steering system resulting from road surface impact are evaluated and compared with proving ground experimental data. The comparisons will show reasonable agreement on tie-rod load. rack displacement, handle-wheel torque and tire center acceleration. This developed simulation capability can be used for EPS performance evaluation and calibration as well as for vehicle handling performance integration and synthesis.

In the direct formulation of fully flexible cell N-Sigma-T ensemble, a generalized leapfrog time integration (GLF) is applicable for fully flexible cell simulation, but the equations of motion by GLF has structure of implicit algorithm. In this paper, the time integration formula is derived for the fully flexible cell molecular dynamics simulation by using the splitting time integration. It separates flexible cell Hamiltonian into terms corresponding to each of Hamiltonian term. Thus the simple and completely explicit recursion formula was obtained. We compare the performance and the result of present splitting time integration with those of the implicit generalized leapfrog time integration.

  • This study analyzes spatial density and integration of Space Syntax and Discrete Event Simulation (DEVS) of complex system theory and analyzes spatial structure by property, type and depth. The aim of this study is to secure the validity of the theoretical application. The study evaluated the correlation between spatial density and integration by setting up eight types of analysis models. In addition, analyzed the correlation of structural characteristics and approached the application of discrete event simulation of spatial syntax theory. It is confirmed that the concept of integration of spatial syntax theory and analysis using discrete event simulation are valid as new spatial analysis methodology. Also expect that realistic and concrete predictions will be possible if discrete event simulation evolves into research for space allocation and space efficiency optimization.

  • 도시지역이 급격히 확장됨에 따라, 인구 및 교통량이 증가되어 교통 혼잡이 큰 사회문제가 되고 있다. 일반적으로 다인승전용차로는 도로의 이용효율을 증대시킬 수 있는 방안으로 알려져 있으며, 도시부 교통문제 해소의 한 방안이다. 본 논문에서는 서울의 중심 도시고속도로인 올림픽대로의 교통 혼잡을 완화하기 위한 방안으로 다인승전용차로제의 도입 가능성을 시뮬레이션 툴인 Integration을 이용하여 과학적으로 분석 평가하였으며, 향후 이러한 분석기법이 다인승 전용차로제 도입 가능성 평가에 많이 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 유무인 협업을 위한 유인회전익기에 의한 다수 무인기 운용통제기술의 요구도 검증을 위한 통합검증환경의 요구도 분석, 구현 및 검증에 대해 기술하였다. 통합검증환경은 유인회전익기 비행 모의, 무인항공기 비행 및 임무장비 모의, 무인항공기 제어 및 유인회전익기와의 통제권 변경을 위한 지상통제장비 모의, 유인회전익기 및 무인항공기 임무계획 작성 및 전송을 위한 운용통제장비 모의로 구성된다. 각각 구현된 구성품들은 소프트웨어/하드웨어 통합시험을 통해 요구도를 검증하였다.

  • Process planning and scheduling are traditionally regarded as separate tasks performed sequentially. But if two tasks are performed concurrently, greater performance can be achieved. In this study, we propose new approach to integration of process planning and scheduling. We propose new process planning combinations selection method using simulation based genetic algorithms. Computational experiments show that proposed method yield better performance when compared with existing methods.

전달관로 모델링을 이용한 유압제어 시스템의 가변 시간스텝 시뮬레이션 및 해석 (Variable Time Step Simulation and Analysis of Hydraulic Control Systems using Transmission Line Modeling)

  • This paper presents a simulation method using the transmission line modeling to reduce simulation runtime of hydraulic control systems. This method is based on separating the system components each other using the transmission line elements prior to simulation, which leads to divide the simulated system into several subsystems suitable for an even more efficient integration. It can also handle nonlinearities and discontinuities without flag signal when restarting integration. By applying variable integration timestep to parallel hydraulic circuits via parallel processing, it is shown that simulation run-time can be reduced significantly compared with that of Runge Kutta method.

A Practical Exciter Model Reduction Approach For Power System Transient Stability Simulation

  • Explicit numerical integration methods for power system transient stability simulation require very small time steps to avoid numerical instability. The EXST1 exciter model is a primary source of fast dynamics in power system transients. In case of the EXST1, the required small integration time step for entire system simulation increases the computational demands in terms of running time and storage. This paper presents a practical exciter model reduction approach which allows the increase of the required step size and thus the method can decrease the computational demands. The fast dynamics in the original EXST1 are eliminated in the reduced exciter model. The use of a larger time step improves the computational efficiency. This paper describes the way to eliminate the fast dynamics from the original exciter model based on linear system theory. In order to validate the performance of the proposed method, case studies with the GSO-37 bus system are provided. Comparisons between the original and reduced models are made in simulation accuracy and critical clearing time.
