동적 핸드오프와 전력제어를 고려한 적응배열 시스템의 네트워크 시뮬레이션 (System Level Network Simulation of Adaptive Array with Dynamic Handoff and Power Control)

  • In this study, the system level network simulation is considered with adaptive array antenna in CDMA mobile communication system. A network simulation framework is implemented based on IS-95A/B system to consider dynamic handoff, system level network behavior, and deploying strategy into the overall CDMA mobile communication network under adaptive array algorithm. Its simulation model, such as vector channel model, adaptive beam forming antenna model, handoff model, and power control model, are described in detail with simulation block. In order to maximize SINR of received signal at antenna, Maximin algorithm is particularly considered, and it is computed at each simulation snap shot with SINR based power control and handoff algorithm. Graphic user interface in this system level network simulator is also implemented to define the simulation environments and to represent simulation results on real mapping system. This paper also shows some features of simulation framework and simulation results.

노인유사 체험이 노인요양시설 종사자의 노인돌봄태도, 노인에 대한 이해도, 업무만족도 및 직무수행에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Senior Simulation Programs on Elderly Care Facilities Employees' Attitudes for Elderly Care, Understanding of the Aged, Job Satisfaction, and Job Performance)

  • Purpose: This research is to understand the effects of senior simulation on employees of elderly care facilities and utilize it in their job training. Methods: This research is a nonequivalence control group pre-to-post quasiexperiment research. 18 employees who have experienced senior simulation are set as test group and 18 other employees who have not experienced senior simulation are set as control group. Results: The hypothesis that 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in their attitude on elderly care, compared to the control group' and 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in understanding of elders, compared to the control group' was supported. The hypothesis that 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in job satisfaction and performance of duties, compared to the control group' was dismissed. Conclusion: The senior simulation seems to contribute to elderly care facilities employees' change in their viewpoints of elders and broaden their understanding of them. The senior simulation was meaningful to provide basic help with implementing job training programs.

Development of ABS ECU for a Bus using Hardware In-the-Loop Simulation

  • Antilock Brake System (ABS) is indispensable safety equipment for vehicles today. In order to develop new ABS ECU suitable for pneumatic brake system of a bus, a Hardware In-the-Loop Simulation (HILS) System was developed. In this HILS, the pneumatic brake system of a bus and antilock brake component were used as hardware. For the computer simulation, the 14-Degree of Freedom (DOF) bus dynamic model was constructed using the Matlab/Simulink software package. This model was compiled and downloaded in the simulation board, where the Power PC processor was used for real-time simulation. Additional commercial package, the ControlDesk was used to monitor the dynamic simulation results and physical signal values. This paper will focus on the procedure and results of evaluating the ECU in the HILS simulation. Two representative cases, wet basalt road and $split-{\mu}$ road, were used to simulate real road conditions. At each simulated road, the vehicle was driven and stopped under the help of the developed ECU. In each simulation, the dynamical behavior of the vehicle was monitored. After enough tests in the laboratory using HILS, the parameter-tuned ECU was equipped in a real bus, which was driven and stopped in the real test field in Korea. And finally, the experiment results of ABS equipped vehicle's dynamic behavior both in HILS test and in test fields were compared.

층화추출에 의한 통제변수의 시뮬레이션 성과분석 (Simulation Analysis of Control Variates Method Using Stratified sampling)

  • 본 연구는 층화추출법과 통제변수기법을 시뮬레이션 실험설계에서 동시에 사용하여 파라미터의 추정 효율성을 개선하는 방법을 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션을 수행하는 도중에 수집한 표준화 부가변수를 통제변수기법에 활용하여 파라미터 추정을 위한 반응변수의 오차를 줄이도록 하였으며 통제변수 구성에 사용되지 않은 부가변수를 층화변수로 활용하는 층화추출기법을 적용하여 통제반응변수의 변이성을 추가로 감소하였다. 반응변수와 통제변수 사이의 공분산 관계가 알려진 경우에 두 방법을 동시에 활용하여 파라미터를 추정하는 기법의 시뮬레이션 효율성을 이론적으로 도출하였다. 반응변수와 통제변수 사이의 상관관계 구조가 알려지지 않은 경우 선택된 모형의 시뮬레이션 결과는 제안된 층화 통제 추정기법이 층화추출법이나 통제변수기법을 개별적으로 적용하여 파라미터를 추정하는 것보다 우수한 것으로 나타나고 있다.

  • In this Paper, a mathematical model describing the dynamics of pilot operated pressure control valve was derived. A attempt to analyze the Parameters(seat diameter, cone angle, spring stiffness, control volume) which relate to the performance of the object valve was carried out. Simulation using AMESim as a simulation tool was operated, and verified the validity of our simulation by means of comparison our simulation results with an experimental results of the pilot operated pressure control valve.

  • It is necessary that we should control the traffic to not only efficiently use the rich bandwidth of ATM network but also satisfy the users various requirements for service quality. However, it is very difficult to decide which control mechanism would be applied in real network because there are various types of ATM traffic and traffic control mechanisms. In this paper, a smart simulator is developed ot analyze the performance of a UPC(Usage Parameter Control) mechanism which is a typical traffic control mechanism. The simulator consists of a user interface that supports a menu-driven input form and a simulation program that is executed with the users input parameters. Especially, the simulator establishes more powerful and flexible simulation environment since it supports a more complex simulation applying various source traffic to several different UPC mechanisms at the same time and allows an arbitrary user-defined traffic in addition to some well-known traffic.

  • There are plenty of optimization models for the signal-system of a single intersection and area traffic. Some of those models are adopted for the real traffic signal control system. The simulators for a single crossroad have been developed, so that we could evaluate optimization models and traffic control systems. However, the simulators for the area traffic are still being developed. Therefore, there are some limitations in the analysis and evaluation for area traffic control systems, The area traffic is consist of several intersections interconnected which are very complicated and many traffic strategy are adopted for the control system. This paper features an effective area traffic control system by High Lever Architecture(HLA) which is a new developed simulation tool. In this paper, we discuss the design of HLA-based area traffic control simulation. We describe technical motivations for the HLA, the key elements of the architecture and how they are minimum and essential to the goal of reuse and interoperability.

소형궤도 차량 제어를 위한 모의실험 장치 설계 (A Design of a Simulation Apparatus for the Control of the Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) Vehicles)

  • This paper presents a design of a simulation apparatus to evaluate an operational control algorithm for the PRT system. PRT systems require very short headways to increase the line capacity and a very reliable vehicle control algorithm for avoidance of the impact between vehicles. Therefore, it can be said that the development of an reliable operational control algorithm for the PRT systems is much more important than that of the hardware configurations. In this paper an apparatus is proposed which is composed of virtual vehicles, a central control system, a man-machine interface and monitoring device, making it possible for the designed operational control algorithm to be implemented and tested. For the test of the proposed apparatus a test operational control algorithm is designed and the experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed simulation apparatus for test and evaluation of the PRT operational control algorithms.

  • In case of high speed and high mobility multibody tracked vehicle, it is hard to develop the realtime simulation model for track tension control because of the hundreds of highly nonlinear equations. In order to design more trustworthy realtime simulator for track tension control, it is necessary to use off-line tracked vehicle model. In this study, a step by step procedure is presented to develop realtime simulation model based on off-line tracked vehicle model. Simulation results show that modified off-line multibody tracked vehicle model can be used for real time simulation to control the track tension.
