  • Moving objects' trajectories play an important role in indexing video data on their content and semantics for content-based video retrieval. In this paper, we propose new similar sub-trajectory retrieval schemes based on k-warping algorithm for efficient retrieval on moving objects' trajectories in video data. The proposed schemes are fixed-replication similar sub-trajectory retrieval(FRSR) and variable-replication similar sub-trajectory retrieval(VRSR). The former can replicate motions with a fixed number for all motions being composed of the trajectory. The latter can replicate motions with a variable number. Our schemes support multiple properties including direction, distance, and time interval as well as a single property of direction, which is mainly used for modeling moving objects' trajectories. Finally, we show from our experiment that our schemes outperform Li's scheme(no-warping) and Shan's scheme(infinite-warping) in terns of precision and recall measures.

  • Recently, PCS, PDA and mobile devices, such as the proliferation of spread, GPS (Global Positioning System) the use of, the rapid development of wireless network and a regular user even images, audio, video, multimedia data, such as increased use is for. In particular, video data among multimedia data, unlike the moving object, text or image data that contains information about the movements and changes in the space of time, depending on the kinds of changes that have sigongganjeok attributes. Spatial location of objects on the flow of time, changing according to the moving object (Moving Object) of the continuous movement trajectory of the meeting is called, from the user from the database that contains a given query trajectory and data trajectory similar to the finding of similar trajectory Search (Similar Sub-trajectory Retrieval) is called. To search for the trajectory, and these variations, and given the similar trajectory of the user query (Tolerance) in the search for a similar trajectory to approximate data matching (Approximate Matching) should be available. In addition, a large multimedia data from the database that you only want to be able to find a faster time-effective ways to search different from the existing research is required. To this end, in this paper effectively divided into a grid to search for the trajectory to the trajectory of moving objects, similar to the effective support of the search trajectory offers a new grid-based search techniques.

Especially, to design public transportation route or road network of the new city, we can use the similar patterns in the trajectories of moving objects that move on the spatial network such as road and railway. In this paper, we propose a spatio-temporal similar trajectory search algorithm for moving objects on road network. For this, we define a spatio-temporal similarity measure based on the real road network distance and propose a grid-based index structure for similar trajectory search. Finally, we analyze the performance of the proposed similar trajectory search algorithm in order to show its efficiency.

  • Aimed at the disclosure risk of mobile terminal user's location privacy in location-based services, a location-privacy protection scheme based on similar trajectory substitution is proposed. On the basis of the anonymized identities of users and candidates who request LBS, this scheme adopts trajectory similarity function to select the candidate whose trajectory is the most similar to user's at certain time intervals, then the selected candidate substitutes user to send LBS request, so as to protect user's privacy like identity, query and trajectory. Security analyses prove that this scheme is able to guarantee such security features as anonymity, non-forgeability, resistance to continuous query tracing attack and wiretapping attack. And the results of simulation experiment demonstrate that this scheme remarkably improve the optimal candidate' trajectory similarity and selection efficiency.

  • Recently, there have been researches on storage and retrieval technique of moving objects, which are highly concerned by user in database application area such as video databases, spatio-temporal databases, and mobile databases. In this paper, we propose a new signature-based indexing scheme which supports similar sub-trajectory retrieval at well as good retrieval performance on moving objects trajectories. Our signature-based indexing scheme is classified into concatenated signature-based indexing scheme for similar sub-trajectory retrieval, entitled CISR scheme and superimposed signature-based indexing scheme for similar sub-trajectory retrieval, entitled SISR scheme according to generation method of trajectory signature based on trajectory data of moving object. Our indexing scheme can improve retrieval performance by reducing a large number of disk access on data file because it first scans all signatures and does filtering before accessing the data file. In addition, we can encourage retrieval efficiency by appling k-warping algorithm to measure the similarity between query trajectory and data trajectory. Final]y, we evaluate the performance on sequential scan method(SeqScan), CISR scheme, and SISR scheme in terms of data insertion time, retrieval time, and storage overhead. We show from our experimental results that both CISR scheme and SISR scheme are better than sequential scan in terms of retrieval performance and SISR scheme is especially superior to the CISR scheme.

  • With the development of GPS and the popularity of mobile devices with positioning capability, collecting massive amounts of trajectory data is feasible and easy. The daily trajectories of moving objects convey a concise overview of their behaviors. Different social roles have different trajectory patterns. Therefore, we can identify users or groups based on similar trajectory patterns by mining implicit life patterns. However, most existing daily trajectories mining studies mainly focus on the spatial and temporal analysis of raw trajectory data but missing the essential semantic information or behaviors. In this paper, we propose a novel trajectory semantics calculation method to identify groups that have similar behaviors. In our model, we first propose a fast and efficient approach for stay regions extraction from daily trajectories, then generate semantic trajectories by enriching the stay regions with semantic labels. To measure the similarity between semantic trajectories, we design a semantic similarity measure model based on spatial and temporal similarity factor. Furthermore, a pruning strategy is proposed to lighten tedious calculations and comparisons. We have conducted extensive experiments on real trajectory dataset of Geolife project, and the experimental results show our proposed method is both effective and efficient.

  • This paper presents reference ZMP trajectory generation and implementation for a biped robot via linear inverted dumbbell model (LIDM), which can consider the effect of external momentum on the center of mass (COM) of robot. Based on a reference ZMP trajectory derived by using LIDM, a base trajectory is proposed not only to make the locomotion of robot similar to that of human but also to facilitate its implementation and tuning. In order to realize a dynamic walking using the proposed trajectory, compliance, impedance and ZMP tracking controllers are adopted together. Extensive experiments show that the proposed locomotion of a biped robot is stable and also, similar to that of human. Further researches on balance recovery of a biped robot will be carried out to guarantee its robust locomotion in combination with the proposed trajectory.

  • This paper proposes a center of plantar foot pressure (CoP) trajectory estimation method based on Gaussian process regression, with the aim to show robust results regardless of the regions and numbers of FSRs of the insole sensor. This method can bring an interpolation between the measurement points inside the wearable insole sensor, and two experiments are conducted for performance evaluation. For this purpose, the input data used in the experiment are generated in three types (13 FSRs, 8 FSRs, 5 FSRs) according to the regions and numbers of FSRs. First, the estimation results of the CoP trajectory are compared using Gaussian process regression and weighted mean. As a result of each method, the estimation results of the two methods were similar in the case of 13 FSRs data. On the other hand, in the case of the 8 and 5 FSRs data, the weighted mean varies depending on the regions and numbers of FSRs, but the estimation results of Gaussian process regression showed similar results in spite of reducing the regions and numbers. Second, the estimation results of the CoP trajectory based on Gaussian process regression during several gait cycles are analyzed. In five gait cycles, the previous cycle and the current estimation results are compared, and it was confirmed that similar trajectories appeared in all. In this way, the method of estimating the CoP trajectory based on Gaussian process regression showed robust results, and stability was confirmed by yielding similar results in several gait cycles.

  • Advances in mobile techknowledges and supporting techniques require an effective representation and analysis of moving objects. Similarity search of moving object trajectories is an active research area in data mining. In this paper, we propose a trajectory search algorithm for spatio-temporal similarity of moving objects on road network. For this, we define spatio-temporal distance between two trajectories of moving objects on road networks, and propose a new method to measure spatio-temporal similarity based on the real road network distance. In addition, we propose a similar trajectory search algorithm that retrieves spatio-temporal similar trajectories in the road network. The algorithm uses a signature file in order to retrieve candidate trajectories efficiently. Finally, we provide performance analysis to show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

  • The purpose of this study was to qualitatively analyze pressure intensity and the center of pressure(COP) trajectory according to shoe type. Subjects were ten first-year female university students. The EMED-AT 25/D(Novel, Germany) was used to measure pressure intensity and COP trajectory. The COP Excursion Index(CPEI) was used for within subject test design. Independent variables were bare feet and six types of shoes. Dependent variables were center of pressure trajectory and pressure intensity. Barefeet and five toed shoes had a similar pressure intensity and COP trajectory. COP trajectory for all other shoe types showed a medial wobble at the heel. Pressure intensity for all other shoe types was related to the structure of the shoes. In conclusion, different shoe types can not only affect gait, but they can also influence foot deformities, pain, and dysfunction.
