The functional non-woven fabrics have been applied in various industry fields, such as clothing, hygiene, environment, medical and so forth. The functional non-woven fabrics were manufactured by meltblown and finishing processes. These functional non-woven fabrics were based on 5wt% masterbatch using 2,000ppm nano-silver resin composite. Silver is one of the most universal antimicrobial substances. Nano-technology enables us to expand the surface area of silver particles markedly. Silver nano particles were successfully produced less than 50nm in size. The functional non-woven fabrics including nano-silver particles showed excellent antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538) and Klebsieila pneumoniae (ATCC 4352). From the results, functional non-woven fabrics including silver nano particels probably will be available as a good and safe antibiotic alternative, such as mask medium filter, water purifier filter, hygiene wet tissues, marine products pad and so forth.

We have studied commercialization and process optimization of protective film on transparent conductive coated substrate, nano silver on flexible PET (poly ethylene terephthalate), by means of roll-to-roll micro-gravure coater. Nanosilver on flexible PET substrate is potential materials to replace ITO (indium tin oxide). Protective film is most important to maintain unique silver pattern on top of transparent PET. PSA pressure sensitive adhesives) was developed solely for nano silver on PET and protective film was successfully laminated. We have optimized all process conditions such as coating thickness, line speed and aging time & temperature via experimental design. Transparent conductive film and its protective film developed in this research are commercially available at this moment.

The purpose of this study was to examine the outdoorwear satisfaction of silver consumers and their purchase behavior according to age. The survey participants in this study were 100 elders who were climbing the Bukhan mountain; 68 among them were new silver group in range of 55-64 years old. As the subjects were old people who had a relatively low level of cognitive ability, self-administration method and interview were employed together. The collected data were analyzed with t-Test and x2 -test. The results follow: the new silver group had purchased more and spent more money on outdoorwear. The brand recognition, purchase place, purchase criteria, and dissatisfaction factors of silver groups were different from those from new silver groups. The quality and design/color were thought to be needed for improvement for a new silver group, while quality and comfort/wearability were for silver group.

The silver generation have clothing style of optimal daily life comparing than young generation because they do not participate a specific sport event but daily- life exercise. As the human body ages, the figure of the silver generation shows different body shape because upper body changes to curved figure including the belly and waist part. Therefore, clothing characteristics for the silver generation should be considered with proper function, design and textiles to optimize body movement. This study investigated various exercise types according to motion analysis of the silver generation in order to develop the design of the active T-shirts reflecting the structural properties and providing the optimum exercise circumstance. The results to consider design needs are as followed; As the T-shirts design for the flexible exercise which required frequent movement of upper body such as bending and waist twisting during body stretching, a stretch fabric applied to the waist part considering T-shirts allowance and length to make extreme elongation and support for well-fitting appearance of the T-shirts. As the T-shirts design for the instantaneous reactionary exercise, high elastic four-way stretch fabric is applied to the part of arm hole to optimize skeletal and muscle movement for entire body and arm work. As the T-shirts design for the endurance exercise such as climbing, cycling, and walking, the shoulder line of the back part has cutting line allowance to make optimum movement of the upper body but no change of the waist part.

In this study, anthropometric analysis and usability evaluation for four-wheeled walker were carried out and then ergonomics design guidelines were proposed. In anthropometric analysis, design factors of four-wheeled walker were firstly identified and anthropometric design guidelines were made using Korean human scales. Design suitability for two typical four-wheeled walkers was analyzed in based on anthropometric design guidelines. Usability evaluation for two typical walkers was also performed through observation method and expert evaluation. Several usability problems were identified and design solutions were proposed for the design improvement of four-wheeled walker. Finally a design model of four wheeled walker considering analysis results was proposed.

The purpose of this study is to suggest design characteristics of picture books for silver generation empirically through academic consideration of necessity and characteristics of picture books targeting silver generation. Through an analytical result of literature materials such as library and information science, pedagogy, and literature therapeutics, and aging phenomenon, picture books help mental and physical health of silver generation, but picture books for silver generation are insufficient in comparison with demand. Therefore, a theoretical basis of study and development of fairy tale books for silver generation is acutely needed. This study suggested that close attention for characteristics of silver generation is needed to solve a problem about dyslexia of silver generation in story, picture(expression, size, layout, structure, and color), and typography of characteristic factors of picture on designing fairy tale books for silver generation, suggesting needs to develop picture books reflecting characteristics such as visual organ, body function, and psychological factor of silver generation. In addition, design characteristics for composition of picture books for silver generation will be used as part of advanced data in a study on solid analytical data through an actual analysis on silver generation in the future.

As the population of silver generation is increased, there are emerged the aging society and the silver industry as social issues. Previous studies in the fields of library & information science, education, the industrial art science suggested the need for fairy tale books for the silver generation, and from the design perspective, the characteristics of fairy tale books for the silver generation were analyzed. A fairy tale book is not only a medium delivering some information, but also a platform that a writer provides services to readers. Therefore, the purpose of this study aimed to suggest the importance of sensual experience on the design of fairy book for the silver generation, and to analyze such kind of fairy book's format, grid, typography, type, edition structure, image, layout, cover, paper, printing and production on the basis of five senses. According to the findings of this study, it was found that fairy tale books for the silver generation had different characteristics(type, picture, color, paper, etc.) from those for children, and it would be desirable to make designs for fairy tale books for the silver generation under the silver generation's esthetics standards with considering the silver generation's physiological, psychological factors. It is expected that this study would become a good foundation for more intensive researches for fairy tale books for the silver generation in future and would also be theoretically helpful in developing fairy tale books for the silver generation in future.

The aims of this study are primary data offer to silver fashion enterprise. In order to deduce design from diverse needs of silver generation, this study is required expert knowledge. For this purpose, this study applied two rounded Delphi method in which 31 experts. As a result, the following findings were obtained; From the previous studies, we found the physical changes of women in silver generation; i.e. the size of their waist and abdomen gets larger, their breasts are sagging, their limbs are thinner, upper body is bending, their height and weight get shorter and lighter. Their choice criterion of design of clothing is hide their weak points in body, youthfulness, moderate, and fashion style. Youthful design but patterns should agree with their body line so that they should be easily fit and look young. They like a jacket and pants set best regardless of spring or summer and as upper garment, they like semi fit, as pants, they prefer straight line of ankle length, and as skirts, partial elastic band and pleats, and the length of the skirts just cover their knees. This pattern in choosing their clothes represents they consider functionality as well as the aesthetics. Their preferred color for spring is lt/pink, lt/violet lt/green for summer, white and blue. Their preferred materials are wool/poly/spandex and cotton/spandex for functionality for spring, and for summer, linen poly and cotton poly seersucker for cool feeling and stability. In both top and bottom item, solid pattern follows small one in their preference on patterns, which shows that they are in pursuit of an elegant style. Our research based on this survey tries to establish what the fashion design for the silver generation should take into consideration.
