신라의 미의식 연구 (Research of the Aesthetic Consciousness in the Silla Dynasty)

  • The Silla Dynasty was an open society and was an independent, creative, brilliant culture built on diverse cultures and values. Transforming from the Silla Dynasty to the Unified Silla, it unified the culture of the Three Kingdoms into one. It also displayed unique clothes that adapted new foreign elements into rich clothes forms unlike previous styles. This study first classifies the aesthetic consciousness of the Silla Dynasty by exploring the beauty of the Silla Dynasty realized through artifacts, books, and records in the Silla Dynasty and defines the each characteristic of the aesthetic consciousness. Second, it highlights the independency of Korean beauty through an investigation of how the aesthetic consciousness form appeared through these new appearances in the aesthetic consciousness of Silla Dynasty clothes. The results of the study show that the aesthetic consciousness of the Silla Dynasty can be inferred through Silla Dynasty artifacts, literature, sensuous beauty, and records that were classified into random natural beauty, humorous beauty, and decorative technical beauty. The Silla Dynasty aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic consciousness appeared in Silla Dynasty clothes based on the aesthetics of authenticity that created the honest and simple aesthetic moving of the early natural aesthetic sense of the Silla Dynasty. Silla Dynasty clothes are found to have transformed into an ornamental aesthetic consciousness of a sensual and decorative aesthetic consciousness in a Unified Silla.

디자인.미학 및 뷰티 분야를 중심으로 본 국내 남성 패션 연구동향 (Analysis of Articles on Design.Aesthetics and Beauty Aspects in Domestic Men's Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate trend of articles on men's fashion in Korea as seen through clothing-related academic journals from 1990 to 2009. For a total of 478 research papers on men's fashion published in 18 clothing-specialized learned society journals, which are KCI-cited journals or candidates thereof The results were as follows: First, With respect to the number of papers on men's fashion from 1990 to 2009, that of the 2000s rapidly increased to 5.2 times that of the 1990s. Second, The number of each area research was ranked aw follows: social psychology marketing 34.1%(163), clothing construction 32.2%(154), design aesthetics 19.7%(94), beauty 7.7%(37), history of clothing 4.8%(23), textile science 1.5%(7.7). Third, Studies on the aesthetics in men's fashion showed a steady increase from 1995, resulting in the number of papers in the 2000s being 12 times that of the 1990s. And, in the 2000s, the subjects explored in the 1990s, such as feminization of men's clothes, gender images, men's suit, etc. were deepened and expanded.

  • This paper accomplishes the following points: First, the costume style held by women in the Silla dynasty are examined. Second, a new fashion concept is drawn from Silla's costume images with lessons from analyzing how major brands from China and Japan have adopted their own traditional images. Third, a Korean fashion concept is crafted to reflect important modern fashion design factors. The conclusions of this study are: The concept of Korean fashion using Silla costume image based on the 2015 S/S trend was developed and suggested as: 'Harmony of Contrast', new beauty created by mutually contrasting things; 'Timeless' transcending time-space flowing from the past, present, to future; 'Empathy' where past and present are harmonized; 'Modern with Antique' expressing a new style modernism where the old retains value. The efforts to express identity via conceptualization of Korean fashion are an effective strategy that satisfies the goals of setting Korea's fashion design apart from others and spreading Korean culture.

  • The object of this research is to develop the designs with aesthetics and function for making the uniforms of specialty restaurants of Korean dishes in pursuit of the image of excellent dignity and its result is as follows: As for designs, this research chose the traditional image as the basic concept and made visual Korean lines, colors, and patterns. As for lines, it made visual the curve of the eaves, the straight line of polls, and the fret of windows and doors represented in architecture and applied them, as for color tones, it chose traditional 'Obangsaek', five direction colors. As for the patterns, it symbolized 4 trigrams( Geon, Gon, Gam, and Yi), the cloud pattern, also it tried to get the formative beauty from traditional patchwork wrapping cloth and windows and doors. The expectant effects on the design of Uniform are as follows: First, it offered basic clothes for male and female employees working in the hall and suggested two kinds of skirt and pants for the latter. It tried to find out both the function of pants and the female beauty of skirts by wrapping on pants to eliminate the feeling of rejection towards the style of them, the use of which have been recognized for man only in spite of many merits of them. Second, it sought for the characteristics of shape on collar, breast-tie, and fold etc. of Korean clothes and designed clothes according to each employee's role and finally emphasized their traditional aesthetics.

서거정의 '경주십이영(慶州十二詠)'의 의미와 폐허미학적 소통방식 (Landscape Meanings and Communication Methods Based on the Aesthetics of Ruins in the Poem 'Kyungjusipiyung' written by Seo Geojeong)

  • 팔경시 '경주십이영'을 통해 서거정은 고도 경주의 폐허화된 역사문화경관에 대한 감회를 적나라하게 표현하고 있다. '경주십이영'은 신라문화의 대표적 성지인 계림, 반월성, 나정, 오릉 그리고 장소성 깊은 승경인 금오산(남산), 포석정, 문천, 첨성대, 분황사, 영묘사, 김유신묘 등을 중심으로 거기에 깃든 신화와 설화는 물론 관련된 사건과 인물을 회고하는 방식으로 이루어져 기존 '팔경'과는 다른 폐허미학적 메타포가 강하게 전달되고 있다. '경주십이영'은 서거정의 팔경시 뿐만 아니라 그 이전의 팔경시와 비교할 때, 제영 구조와 형식은 물론 내용에 있어서도 차이를 보이는데, 특히 의미와 행위를 부각시킨 인문적 특성이 강하게 나타난다. '경주십이영'의 제영 순서를 추적할 때 2일 이상의 유람시간을 통해 2개 이상의 시각회랑으로 이루어진 것으로 보이며, 봄철에 지어진 시임에도 불구하고 시 속에는 '자연의 아름다움과 생활의 풍류' 그리고 '번성과 풍요'는 배제되고 대부분 오래 되고, 부서져 허물어지고, 늙고, 슬프고 등의 아쉬움과 슬픔의 정조가 지배적이다. 서거정은 '경주십이영'을 통해 경주의 다양한 경승과 경물 등 가시 영역의 문명적 폐허 뿐만 아니라 신화와 전설 등 비가시 영역의 문화적 폐허를 반복, 병렬, 병치 그리고 대조의 수사학적 표현으로 회고와 영탄의 폐허미를 읊고 있다. 이는 서거정이 '경주'를 바라보는 사유방식이자 표현방식이며 기존 회고시의 전형적 특성으로 서거정이 '경주십이영'을 통해 표현하고자 한 폐허 경험은 무엇보다도 그것이 전하는 아우라, 즉 12가지 역사문화경관에 담긴 총체적 신라문화에 편재한 질에 대한 정성적 경험이었다는데 그 특징이 읽혀진다. 기문 등을 근거로 '고도 경주'에 대한 서거정의 긍정적 인식에도 불구하고 '경주십이영'에 담긴 신라와 경주의 이미지는 폐허로 점철되고 있다. 그러나 폐허가 소멸과 몰락의 길을 가리키는 비관주의적 개념임에도 불구하고, 그 폐허의 양상은 조선 전기의 문풍을 좌우했던 인물로서 조선 왕조를 통해 경주를 다시 상승 부흥시키고자 하는 의지를 포괄하는 양가적인 것으로 보인다. 그러므로 서거정의 '경주십이영'에서 발견되는 풍경의 미학은 가장 은유적이면서도 문화적 상징성이 강한 것으로 폐허성을 반성적 경험의 가치로 전환하기 위한 역설적 폐허미학의 소통방식으로 전개되고 있다.

인플래터블 패션의 조형적 특성 연구 (A study on the formative features of the inflatable fashion)

  • This study aims to identify the formative features of inflatable fashion that has changed its form or fulfilled specific functions by inserting air between fabrics or between clothes and the human body. Images of inflatable fashion images after the 1990s were collected from the literature and internet data and were analyzed based on the formative features of inflatable design. Through this analysis, it was determined that there were four formative features of inflatable fashion: First, inflatable fashion has functionality. General fashion also has functionality, but inflatable fashion has expanded functionalities such as an air bag effect or insulation due to injected air. Second, the formative potential. Inflatable fashion can be changed into different forms depending on the amount of air injected. Light-weighted air holds up the material of the clothes. So new forms that are different from conventional fashion, which gives inflatable fashion its formative potential, can be suggested. Third, aesthetic expansion. Inflatable fashion when its volume is expanded expresses the beauty of scale, or expresses a voluptuous beauty when part of human body is exaggerated. Fourth, it has an unconstructive characteristic. Space that is visible due to the transparent material of inflatable fashion expresses the intention of the designer to fulfill an unconstructive concept. In conclusion, the formative features of inflatable design have formative significances : practicality, aesthetic significance, semantics and technical significance.

존 월리엄 워터하우스 회화에 표현된 팜므 파탈 패션 이미지 (Femme Fatale's Fashion Image in John William Waterhouse's Works)

  • John William Waterhouse (1849-1917) is a painter renown for his romantic beautiful femme fatale images in the late 19th century in England. The purpose of this study is to examine the fashion in Waterhouse's femme fatale images. Waterhouse displays the devilism of femme fatale by the symbols of a wicked woman. He emphasized how wicked she is by means of water such as lake, river, and sea as well as symbols associated with demons such as forest, cave, naked woman, long hair, a monster-headed woman looking like an animal, water lily, and garden. On the other hand, he illustrates the woman's style as an image of a typical feminine beauty. Expressing naturally a fine-curved, immature girl's body with marvel-like white and clear skin in a kneeling down or crouching passive rose and depicting it as an innocent and fragile feminine image, he created a passive and lovely image of a young girl. With her eminent beauty and sex appeals, she lured men into danger. Words such as evil, women, and death had been used in describing her as femme fatale to emphasize her wickedness as well as to deliver the meaning across from the inside and to the outside. They also described her as a type of woman with body posture and fashion corresponding to the sexual ideology during the Victorian Age. His description of this fashion image was to show that femme fatale's fashion, which represents attraction and fatality, does not necessarily translate to an active fashion style that emphasizes sensuality. It also tends to minimize resistance and feelings of being threatened. Therefore, it allons us to acknowledge that even girlish body with innocent and frail-looking fashion can be a form of femme fatale, and that fashion styles is essential in forming the image of femininity.

영화 <사랑보다 아름다운 유혹>에 나타난 팜므 파탈 의상의 미적 특성 (The Esthetic Features of Femme Fatale Fashions in Movie )

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the esthetic features of femme fatale character fashions, which are shown in Movie . The feature of evil femineity is the attribute of evil which brings men to ruin by the dangerous, cunning, and cruel trick, and is expressed in black color, red color, and slash fashion. This fashion shows the dark reverse side of women's sexual desire in relation to anxiety, evil, and death. The feature of sensuality evokes physical pleasures or desires, and maximizes the exposure of sexual regions by tightening or loosening women's body. In the fashion expressing this feature, the forms are fit or loose silhouette. and the colors are black and red. and the materials are soft. This fashion seems to deconstruct the past concept of sex consciousness and emphasize the independent and autonomous femineity. The feature of positiveness combines feminine elements with masculine elements in relation to power elements. This feature is expressed in tailored suit and trousers, with few patterns and details, and in black color and gray color. This fashion reflects the aggressive, challenging, and independent femineity, and expresses the potential defense for the weakness and danger of female body. The feature of purity expresses the earnest and truthful mind, and is expressed in the soft and light one-piece dress, the elegant suit, and the pink color and black color fashion. This fashion shows angel-like and reliable womanly beauty, but at the same time shows women's attribute which changes their behavior and thinking every moment, so that this fashion shows women's double-sided attribute which combines women's weakness and violence, or tenacity and conflict.

남성집단의 미디어정보이용도가 외모인식과 메트로섹슈얼 성향을 통해 외모관리행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Men's Media Information Utilization on Appearance Management Behavior: Mediated Effect of Appearance Awareness and Metrosexual Tendency)

  • Contemporary young men are consumption-oriented, pursue ideal male images displayed in commercials, and are highly interested in fashion, beauty, and appearance. This metrosexual tendency(which values appearance) is largely influenced by mass media. This study examines how men's media information utilization influences appearance awareness and metrosexual tendency as well as how these two variables influence cosmetics consumption and fashion product consumption behavior. The results are as follows. First, metrosexual tendency consists of four dimensions: fashion involvement, pursuit of individuality beyond sexuality, cognition of fashion taste, and preference of a high quality product. The sum of variance is 65.594%. Second, media information utilization influenced metrosexual tendency and metrosexual tendency influence cosmetic consumption, brand-sensitive consumption and commercial-sensitive consumption; however, it did not affect price-sensitive consumption. Third, media information utilization affected appearance awareness; however, appearance awareness did not affect metrosexual tendency. In conclusion, appearance management behavior for men in their 20s is clearly affected by media. This phenomenon is caused by the metrosexual desire to express identity through fashion. Men in their 20's do not take care of their looks because of the social perception of appearance (as related to showing off their competence or pursuit of social success); rather, they have a desire to express their individuality and personally enjoy grooming and maintaining their appearance. Therefore, we can expect increased beauty and fashion expenditures.

참모자반 메탄올 추출 분획물의 항산화 및 숙취해소능과 α-glucosidase 활성저해효과 (α-Glucosidase Inhibitory Effects for Solvent Fractions from Methanol Extracts of Sargassum fulvellum and Its Antioxidant and Alcohol-Metabolizing Activities)

  • 참모자반 분획물은 극성에 따라 핵산, 메탄올, 부탄올 및 수층 순으로 분획하여 4개의 분획층을 얻었으며, 각 분획층의 생리활성을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 항산화 활성은 DPPH radical 소거능과 SOD 활성을 측정한 결과 모두 농도 의존적으로 증가하였으며 특히 메탄올 분획 층에서 가장 높은 항산화 효과를 보였다. 아질산염 소거능 실험에서는 부탄올 층이 pH 1.2에서 57.8%로 4개의 분획물중 가장 높은 아질산염 소거능을 나타냈다. 숙취 해소능을 측정하기 위하여 ADH 활성과 ALDH 활성을 측정하였다. 대조구로 사용한 흡광도 값을 100으로 하였을 때 positive control로 사용한 hepos가 150~167%의 활성을 나타내었으며 4가지 분획층 모두 농도 의존적으로 활성이 증가하였다. 특히 ALDH에서는 메탄올 분획층이 10 mg/ml 농도에서 167.4%의 활성을 나타내어 hepos와 비슷한 효과를 보였다. 참모자반 분획물의 혈당강하 효과는 ${\alpha}$-glucosidase 활성억제 효과로 측정하였다. ${\alpha}$-glucosidase 활성억제 효과는 핵산 분획층에서 2 mg/ml의 농도에서 94.1%로 아주 높은 항당뇨 효과를 나타내었다. 그런데 부탄올층, 메탄올층 및 수층은 혈당강하효과가 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다. 피부주름예방을 측정하기 위하여 수행한 elastase 저해효과 실험에서 메탄올 분획층에서 농도 의존적으로 높은 주름개선효과가 나타났으며 2 mg/ml 농도에서 93.2%의 효과를 나타냈으며, positive control로 사용한 Vit. C (1 mg/ml) 보다 더 높은 활성을 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 모자반 메탄올 추출물 중 특히 메탄올 분획층이 탁월한 주름개선 효과, 숙취 해소능과 항산화 효과가 있는 것으로 사료되며, 핵산층은 혈당강하 효과가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 모자반 유기용매 분획물은 천연 기능성소재로서의 사용 가능성이 매우 높을 것으로 사료된다.
