  • 일반적으로 건물 구조물에 전달되는 기계진동을 감소시키기 위해서 기계와 기초사이에 유연한 방진소자를 삽입하여 기계가진력(exciting force)의 전달 률을 줄인다. 또한 구조물의 고유진동수와 진동원의 가진주파수가 일치할 경 우, 가진주파수를 변화시키거나, 구조물의 동특성을 변화시키는 방법을 사용 한다. 어떠한 방안을 선택하든 효과적이고 정량적인 방진 시스템을 구성하고 구조물의 정확한 진동상태를 예측하기 위해서는 진동원의 가진특성과 구조 물의 동특성에 대한 정보가 요구된다. 일반적으로 방진설계를 위해 필요한 진동원의 가진특성은 제조회사의 사양이나 측정을 통하여 비교적 쉽게 얻을 수 있다. 복합재료, 다양한 경계조건, 복잡한 대형구조물등은 수치해석을 이 용하여 해석적인 방법으로 동특성을 구할 경우, 신뢰성 있는 정보를 얻기에 는 많은 노력이 요구된다. 더우기 현장에서 발생하는 진동문제는 대부분 복 잡하고 시간적으로 시급히 해결해야 하기 때문에 효율적인 절차를 구성하여 구조물의 동특성을 해석하는 방법을 사용할 필요가 있다. 구조물의 동특성은 실험적인 방법을 통하여 구하고 그 외의 필요한 계산들은 해석을 통하여 얻 는 것이 효율적일 수 있다. 실험적 동특성해석은 입력하중에 대한 응답의 크 기와 위상 비를 주파수별로 나타내는 전달함수를 측정하는 방법으로서 가진 장치 및 여러 측정/분석 장비가 필요하며, 철교, 교량, 건물의 철골 및 콘크 리트 슬라브등 다양한 중대형의 구조물을 Signal/Noise비가 좋도록 가진 시 켜야 할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 실험적 방법의 현장 적응성과 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 대형충격기(large impact hammer, max, peak force 약 10000N, time duration 약 20ms)를 제작하고 실험/분석 시스템 및 구조물 의 진동제어를 위한 절차를 Fig.1과 같이 구성하고 이를 철근콘크리트 건물 에 설치한 기계식 주차설비의 진동제어에 적용하였다.force response simulation)를 수행하여 임의의 좌표 공간에 대한 진동수준을 해석적으로 예측할 뿐만 아니라 구조물의 진동제어 를 위한 동적인자를 변경시킬 수 있는 정보를 제공하며 장비를 방진할 경우 신뢰성 있는 전달률을 결정할 수 있다. 실험적으로 철교, 교량이나 건물의 철골구조 및 2층 바닥 등 대,중형의 복잡한 구조물에 대항 동특성을 나타내 는 모빌리티를 결정할 경우 충격 가진 실험이 사용되는 실험장비 측면에서 나 실험을 수행하는 과정이 대체적으로 간편하다. 그러나 이 경우 대상 구조 물을 충분히 가진시킬수 있는 용량의 대형 충격기(large impact hammer)가 필요하게 된다. 이러한 동적실험은 약 길이 61m, 폭 16m의 4경간 교량에 대 하여 동적실험을 수행하여 가능성을 확인하였다. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS. Wind loads on a moving vehicle-bridge deck system by wind-tunnel model test

  • Wind-vehicle-bridge (WVB) interaction can be regarded as a coupled vibration system. Aerodynamic forces and moment on vehicles and bridge decks play an important role in the vibration analysis of the coupled WVB system. High-speed vehicle motion has certain effects on the aerodynamic characteristics of a vehicle-bridge system under crosswinds, but it is not taken into account in most previous studies. In this study, a new testing system with a moving vehicle model was developed to directly measure the aerodynamic forces and moment on the vehicle and bridge deck when the vehicle model moved on the bridge deck under crosswinds in a large wind tunnel. The testing system, with a total length of 18.0 m, consisted of three main parts: vehicle-bridge model system, motion system and signal measuring system. The wind speed, vehicle speed, test objects and relative position of the vehicle to the bridge deck could be easily altered for different test cases. The aerodynamic forces and moment on the moving vehicle and bridge deck were measured utilizing the new testing system. The effects of the vehicle speed, wind yaw angle, rail track position and vehicle type on the aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle and bridge deck were investigated. In addition, a data processing method was proposed according to the characteristics of the dynamic testing signals to determine the variations of aerodynamic forces and moment on the moving vehicle and bridge deck. Three-car and single-car models were employed as the moving rail vehicle model and road vehicle model, respectively. The results indicate that the drag and lift coefficients of the vehicle tend to increase with the increase of the vehicle speed and the decrease of the resultant wind yaw angle and that the vehicle speed has more significant effect on the aerodynamic coefficients of the single-car model than on those of the three-car model. This study also reveals that the aerodynamic coefficients of the vehicle and bridge deck are strongly influenced by the rail track positions, while the aerodynamic coefficients of the bridge deck are insensitive to the vehicle speed or resultant wind yaw angle.

  • Bearing is one of the important mechanical elements used in various industrial equipments. Most of failures occurred during the equipment operation result from bearing defects and breakages. Therefore, monitoring of bearings is essential in preventing equipment breakdowns and reducing unexpected loss. The purpose of this paper is to present an online monitoring method to predict bearing states using vibration signals. Bearing vibrations, which are collected as a form of profile signal, are first analyzed by a discrete wavelet transform. Next, some statistical features are obtained from the resultant wavelet coefficients. In order to select significant ones among them, analysis of variance (ANOVA) is employed in this paper. Statistical features screened in this way are used as input variables to support vector machine (SVM). An hierarchical SVM tree is proposed for dealing with multi-class problems. The result of numerical experiments shows that the proposed SVM tree has a competent performance for classifying bearing fault states.

  • Tool condition monitoring (TCM) is crucial for improvement of productivity in manufacturing process. However, TCM techniques have not been applied to monitor tool failure in an industrial gear shaving application. Therefore, this work studied a statistical TCM method for monitoring gear shaving tool condition. The method modeled the vibration signal of the shaving process using beta probability distribution in order to extract the effective features for TCM. Modeling includes rectifying for converting a bi-modal distribution into a unimodal distribution, estimating the parameters of beta probability distribution based on method of moments. The performance of features obtained from the proposed method was evaluated and discussed.

The Study on Intraoral Pressure, Closure Duration, and VOT During Phonation of Korean Bilabial Stop Consonants (한국어 양순 파열음 발음시 구강내압과 폐쇄기, VOT에 대한 연구)

  • Acoustic analysis study was performed on 20 normal subjects by speaking nonsense syllables composed of Korean bilabial stops(/p, $p^{*}$/, ph/) and their Preceding and/or following vowel /a/(that is, [pa, $p^{*}a$, pha, apa, $ap^{*}a$, apha]) with an ultraminiature pressure sensor in their mouths. Speech materials were phonated twice, once with a moderate voice, another time with a loud voice. The acoustic signal and intraoral pressure were recorded simultaneously on computer. By these procedures, we were to measure the intraoral pressure, closure duration and VOT of Korean bilabial stops, and to compare the values one another according to the intensity of phonation and the position of the target consonants. Intraoral pressure was measured by the peak intraoral pressure value of its wave; closure duration by the time interval between the onset of intraoral pressure build-up and the burst meaning the release of closure; Voice onset time(VOT) by the time interval between the burst and the onset of glottal vibration. Heavily aspirated bilabial stop consonant /ph/ showed the highest intraoral pressure value, unaspirated /p$^{*}$/, the second, slightly aspirated /p/, the lowest. The syllable initial bilabial stops showed higher intraoral pressure than word initial stops, and the value of loudly phonated consonants were higher than moderate consonants. The longest closure duration period was that of /$p^{*}$/ and the shortest, /p/, and the duration was longer in word initial position and in the moderate voice. In VOT, the order of the longest to shortest was /ph/, /p/, /$p^{*}$/, and the value was shorter when the consonant was in intervocalic position and when it was phonated with a loud voice.

  • We have applied an advanced multi-aperture indexing photometry and sophisticated de-trending method to existing Taiwanese-American Occultation Survey (TAOS) data sets. TAOS, a wide-field ($3^{\circ}{\times}3^{\circ}$) and rapid photometry (5Hz) survey, is designed to detect small objects in the Kuiper Belt. Since TAOS has fast and multiple exposures per zipper mode image, point spread function (PSF) varies in a given image. Selecting appropriate aperture among various size apertures allows us to reflect these variations in each light curve. The survey data turned out to contain various trends such as telescope vibration, CCD noise, and unstable local weather. We select multiple sets of stars using a hierarchical clustering algorithm in such a way that the light curves in each cluster show strong correlations between them. We then determine a primary trend (PT) per cluster using a weighted sum of the normalized light curves, and we use the constructed PTs to remove trends in individual light curves. After removing the trend, we can get each synthetic light curve of star that has much higher signal-to-noise ratio. We compare the efficiency of the synthetic light curves with the efficiency of light curves made by previous existing photometry pipelines. Our photometric method is able to restore subtle brightness variation that tends to be missed in conventional aperture photometric methods, and can be applied to other wide-field surveys suffering from PSF variations and trends. We are developing an analysis package for the next generation TAOS survey (TAOS II) based on the current experiments.

  • Recently, a rapid growth of wind power system as a leading renewable energy source has compelled a number of companies to develop intelligent monitoring and diagnostic system. Such systems can detect early mechanical faults, which prevents from costly repairs. Generally, fault diagnostic system for wind turbines is based on vibration and process signal analysis. In this work, different type of mechanical faults such as mass unbalance and shaft misalignment which can always happen in wind turbine system is considered. The proposed intelligent fault diagnostic algorithm utilizes artificial neural network and Wavelet transform. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed algorithm, mechanical fault generation experimental system manufactured by Gaon corporation is utilized.

Machine Learning Model for Predicting the Residual Useful Lifetime of the CNC Milling Insert (공작기계의 절삭용 인서트의 잔여 유효 수명 예측 모형)

  • For the implementation of a smart factory, it is necessary to collect data by connecting various sensors and devices in the manufacturing environment and to diagnose or predict failures in production facilities through data analysis. In this paper, to predict the residual useful lifetime of milling insert used for machining products in CNC machine, weight k-NN algorithm, Decision Tree, SVR, XGBoost, Random forest, 1D-CNN, and frequency spectrum based on vibration signal are investigated. As the results of the paper, the frequency spectrum does not provide a reliable criterion for an accurate prediction of the residual useful lifetime of an insert. And the weighted k-nearest neighbor algorithm performed best with an MAE of 0.0013, MSE of 0.004, and RMSE of 0.0192. This is an error of 0.001 seconds of the remaining useful lifetime of the insert predicted by the weighted-nearest neighbor algorithm, and it is considered to be a level that can be applied to actual industrial sites.

Model Tests on a Plastic Pipe Pile for the Analysis of Noise, Energy Transfer Effect and Bearing Capacity due to Hammer Cushion Materials (해머 쿠션 재질에 따른 모형말뚝의 소음, 에너지 전달효율 및 지지력 분석)

  • Driving tests using model plastic piles with different hammer cushion materials were performed in order to evaluate the efficiency of energy transfer ratio from the hammer, degree of vibration of the surrounding ground and noise due to impacting. A small pile driving analyzer (PDA) was composed using straingages and Hopkinson bar which is measuring force signal and pile-head velocity. The hammer cushion (cap block) materials used for the model driving tests were commercial Micarta, plywood, polyurethane, rubber (SBR) and silicone rubber. The highest energy transfer ratio was obtained from Micarta in the same soil and driving conditions. Micarta was followed by polyurethane, plywood, rubber and silicone in descending order. The more efficient energy transfdr ratio of the hammer cushion materials became, the bigger average noisy (sound) level was found. In addition, Micarta and polyurethane provided bigger bearing capacities than other materials compared in the same soil and driving conditions in which the static loading tests were performed at the end of driving.
