In this paper, a DLC method is suggested for linear feedback systems to improve the tracking performance when the task of the system is repetitive. DLC can generate the desired control input directly from the previously teamed control inputs corresponding to other output trajectories. It is assumed that all outputs considered in this paper have some relations called "proportionality. " To show the validity and tracking performance of the proposed method, some simulation are performed for the tracking control of a linear system with a PI controller.

With GPS being the primary navigation system, Loran use is in steep decline. However, according to the final report of vulnerability assessment of the transportation infrastructure relying on the global positioning system prepared by the John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, there are current attempts to enhance and re-popularize Loran as a GPS backup system through the characteristic of the ground based low frequency navigation system. To advance the Loran system such as Loran-C modernization and eLoran development, research is definitely needed in the field of Loran-C receiver signal processing as well as Loran-C signal design and the technology of a receiver. We have developed a set of Matlab tools, which implement a software Loran-C receiver that performs the receiver's position determination through the following procedure. The procedure consists of receiving the Loran-C signal, cycle selection, calculation of the TDOA and range, and receiver's position determination through the Least Square Method. We experiences the effect of an incorrect cycle selection and various error factors (ECD, ASF, sky wave, CRI, etc.) from the result of the Loran-C signal processing. It is apparent that researches which focus on the elimination and mitigation of various error factors need to be investigated on a software Loran-C receiver. These aspects will be explored in further work through the method such as PLL and Kalman filtering.

PLC (Power Line Communication) is the communication method using the existing power line installed in houses and offices to convert and transmit high frequency communication signal from tens of KHz to tens of MHz, and receive the filtered signal using high frequency filter The advantage of PLC is that PLC uses the existing power line installed in houses and offices so it does not require separate power line. Easy and convenient access using electric outlets is another advantage of PLC. However, PLC has some disadvantages such as limited transmission power, high load interference and noise, variable signal attenuation, characteristic of impedance, and selective possibility of frequency property. We designed the boiler temperature control system unit by using the PLC modem. We can avoid unnecessary heating of separate temperature control unit, and save the cost accordingly control stability of the proposed system is proven through the experiment.
This study was conducted to develop a speed control system of a DC motor which drove a barley seeder mounted on a combine harvester. Barley seeder mounted on a combine has been known to reduce labor and cost of barley cultivation. However, development of the seeder has been unsuccessful because the combine, a dedicated rice and barley harvester has not enough space and proper power take-off for barley seeder. To develop a barley seeder, small powered motor speed controller was required. A proximity sensor for detecting working speed of the combine and a programmable one board microprocessor was used to develope a control system. Motor parameters and motor constant, relationship between seeding rate, motor speed, groove volumes of a tested roller, torque were measured. The proximity sensor sent a frequency signal to the microprocessor. In laboratory experiments, the excitation voltage of the motor was shown not to be proportional to the size of pulse width (duty ratio). A table transforming frequency signal, that represented for working speed to proper pulse width was developed from seeding rate experiments. However, seeding rate at low frequency signal was not proportional to the working speed. Seeding rate control proportional to the frequency signal was achieved by shifting of the frequency signal.
In this paper we have designed the signal processing system for driving the Poly-Si TFT LCD of EWS. The signal processing system consist of timing controller, ramp signal generator and video signal processing system. Timing controller includes the top-down inversion. left right inversion, left-right shifting and control signal generator according to multi-source signal. The video signal processing system generates sawtooth-shaped waveform by using PROM and DAC for multi-gray scales and implements gamma correction function for compensating the TFT-LCD nonlinear charcteristic of the TFT-LCD. Finally we have discussed the experiment results and its application according to the designed TFT-LCD driving system.

To appropriately control or compensate breathing motion of targets in thorax or abdomen during radiotherapy is still demanding. Our idea is that a visual signal may help regulate patient's breathing pattern, by controlling its amplitude and cycle. The system involving breathing control with a visual signal for aperture maneuver with controlled breath (AMC) has been developed. A thermocouple is used to detect the temperature change due to patient's breathing. The system also consists of a mask, in which the thermocouple is installed, an operational amplifier, a converter, etc. Patients were instructed to control their respiration by breathing following the visuals signal, as watching a display that shows both patients' current breathing pattern and the signal. The patterns of patients' controlled breathing and the signals coincided well. Therefore, when AMC technique is applied, a target moves in the range that is 60 % less than the range of free breathing motion with the help of the system and so target margins can be reduced significantly. This study reveals that a visual signal is not only useful to control patient's breathing but also clinically effective.

This paper proposes a new and simple input prediction method for robust servo system. A robust tracking control system for optical disk drives was proposed recently based on both Coprime Factorization (CF) and Zero Phase Error Tracking (ZPET) control. The CF control system can be designed simply and systematically. Moreover, this system has not only stability but also robustness to parameter uncertainties and disturbance rejection capability. Since optical disk tracking servo system can detect only tracking error, it was proposed that the reference input signal for ZPET could be estimated from tracking errors. In this paper, we propose a new control structure for the ZPET controller. It requires less memory than the previously proposed method for the reference signal generation. Numerical simulation results show that the proposed method is effective.

This paper presents the development of a satellite antenna tracking control system using a plane antenna for mobile DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) reception. To track more rapidly in the antenna of this system, this simple tracking system only tracks a direction of azimuth using pendulum in the direction of elevation. This system should track using the AGC(Automatic Gain Control) of the signal level which can receive DAB in spite of the changing of point and movement of the mobile. The directional gyro sensor is attached to solve the delay time in the Proposed tracking algorithm. The effectiveness of both the stabilization and tracking algorithm is demonstrated through experiment measuring AGC signal level. The implemented satellite antenna tracking control system is shown to be excellent for mobile DAB reception.

We studied on the design of a sprinkler control system that communicates with the administrator's mobile through a wireless communication network and a sprinkler unit that sprays water on the vegetation area. This sprinkler control system consists of a communication module that receives an operation signal for the operation of the sprinkler unit from the administrator's mobile, and a control module that controls the sprinkler unit according to the operation signal received through the communication module. It is also designed to control sprinkler units by measuring temperature, humidity, light intensities, vibration and field images in the vegetation area in real time through sensors and camera for each of them and comparing them with established limit criteria. The sprinkler allows the administrator to control the sprinkler more easily because the administrator operates the sprinkler through the mobile from a distance, and emergency situations occur and can respond quickly.

In this paper, in order to control uncertain chaotic system, an adaptive fuzzy control(AFC) scheme is developed for the multi-input/multi-output plants represented by the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy models. The proposed AFC scheme provides robust tracking of a desired signal for the T-S fuzzy systems with uncertain parameters. The developed control law and adaptive law guarantee the boundedness of all signals in the closed-loop system. In addition, the chaotic state tracks the state of the stable reference model(SRM) asymptotically with time for any bounded reference input signal. The suggested AFC design technique is applied for the control of an uncertain Lorenz system based on T-S fuzzy model such as stabilization, synchronization and chaotic model following control(CMFC).
