Nowadays, there are two classes of methods for damage detection in structures consisting of static and dynamic. The dynamic methods are based on studying the changes in structure's dynamic characteristics. The theoretical basis of this method is that damage causes changes in dynamic characteristics of structures. The dynamic methods are divided into two categories: signal based and modal based. The modal based methods utilize the modal properties consisting of natural frequencies, modal damping and mode shapes. As the modal properties are sensitive to changes in the structure, these can be used for detecting the damages. In this study, using dynamic method and modal based approach (natural frequencies and mode shapes), the objective function is formulated. Then, detection of damages of truss structures is addressed by using Simplified Dolphin Echolocation algorithm and solving inverse optimization problem. Many scenarios are used to simulate the damages. To demonstrate the ability of the algorithm, different truss structures with several multiple elements scenarios are tested using a few runs. The influence of the two different levels of noise in the modal data for these scenarios is also considered. The last example of this article is investigated using a different mutation. This mutation obtains the exact answer with fewer loops and population by limited computational effort.

The transient response in PDFA(Praseodymium-Doped Fiber Amplifier) is theoretically investigated. The PDFA has the spectral gain band in 1.3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. The transient model includes the transient buildup of the population inversion, the pump power, and the signal power and their transient variation along the fiber amplifier. The numerical analysis of transient model can predict the gain saturation, the variation of pump power and the gain as a function of the fiber length. It also shows the gain saturation and recovery effects depending on the pumping rate lead to distortion and saturation in the amplification of optical pulse. The results of numerical analysis, for the case of the Pr ion concentration of 1000ppm and the pump power of 0.5W the gain saturation is obtained 30dB at the length of 5m and the saturation time of upper level is 250 $mutextrm{s}$.

The one of features of M2M communications, which are recently attracted attention as a future business of mobile communications, is that there is a large number of devices compared with traditional communication services. Hence, the control signal that are generated by the M2M devices may cause a significant congestion in the network and in order to solve this problem, a standardization is progressing for reducing the redundant signaling by managing M2M devices as a group in 3GPP standardization. In this paper, we propose a method of group based mobility management by managing M2M devices that have the same mobility as a group. In the proposed method, M2M devices that have the same mobility are grouped by the Mobility Management Entity (MME) and the MME elects a group header among the M2M devices in the group. Then, the group header performs the Tracking Area Update (TAU) on behalf of the group members to reduce the signaling overhead of mobility management. With the proposed method, we can achieve 80% decrease of the signaling overhead of mobility management compared with the case where each M2M device individually performs its TAU procedure.
Load distribution is vital to the performance of multipath transport. The task becomes more challenging in real-time multimedia applications (RTMA), which impose stringent delay requirements. Two key issues to be addressed are: 1) How to minimize end-to-end delay and 2) how to alleviate packet reordering that incurs additional recovery time at the receiver. In this paper, we propose sub-packet based multipath load distribution (SPMLD), a new model that splits traffic at the granularity of sub-packet. Our SPMLD model aims to minimize total packet delay by effectively aggregating multiple parallel paths as a single virtual path. First, we formulate the packet splitting over multiple paths as a constrained optimization problem and derive its solution based on progressive approximation method. Second, in the solution, we analyze queuing delay by introducing D/M/1 model and obtain the expression of dynamic packet splitting ratio for each path. Third, in order to describe SPMLD's scheduling policy, we propose two distributed algorithms respectively implemented in the source and destination nodes. We evaluate the performance of SPMLD through extensive simulations in QualNet using real-time H.264 video streaming. Experimental results demonstrate that: SPMLD outperforms previous flow and packet based load distribution models in terms of video peak signal-to-noise ratio, total packet delay, end-to-end delay, and risk of packet reordering. Besides, SPMLD's extra overhead is tiny compared to the input video streaming.

There are no recommended test conditions for digital photography in Chest PA examinations. However, each company recommends shooting examinations of the high voltage applied to the previous analog examination. The condition that satisfies the value of 200 ~ 800 which is the recommended Exposure Index value recommended by Philips was selected, and the dose was evaluated by Monte Carlo simulation, and the SNR and CNR were compared. As a result, it was possible to reduce the effective dose up to 77% by controlling the tube voltage, tube current, and additional filter, not the conventional high voltage imaging method. Although there were some differences according to the test conditions, the image evaluation results were similar to the images. We will compare the exposure dose according to changes in tube voltage, tube current, and additional filter at the digital chest radiograph and evaluate the image quality of the image to propose optimal conditions.
To verify anti-diabetic effect of oligopeptide with His-Pro repeats (mHP peptide), the oligopeptide was first secreted and optimized using the secretion vector, pRBAS with alkaline protease gene promoter and the signal sequence in Bacillus subtilis and directly the anti-diabetic effect of the mHP peptide was investigated in insulinoma cell, RINm5F cell line. The oligopeptide gene was obtained by annealing oligonucleotides with repeated His-Pro sequence and finally was constructed as 18 dipeptides (108 bp and 4.0 kDa) coding gene, named oligopeptide with His-Pro repeats (mHP peptide) to make cyclo(His-Pro) known to be anti-diabetic effects. The region encoding the oligopeptide gene was subcloned into the pRBAS secretion vector (E.coli-Bacillus shuttle vector) after PCR amplification using the designed primers including initiation and termination codons and His tag, named pRBAS-mHP (6.56 kb). To optimize secretion of the oligopeptide, various culture conditions were investigated in Bacillus subtilis LKS. As a result, the secreted oligopeptide was maximally measured (approximately $59.6{\mu}g/mL$) in 3 L batch culture and the highest secretion was achieved at $30^{\circ}C$, PY medium, and carbon sources (particularly barley and glycerol). In the RINm5F cells treated with 2 mM STZ, the oligopeptide treatment (0.1 mg/mL) restored the cell viability (10%) and reduced the nitric oxide (NO) generation (35%) and DNA fragmentation (90%). And also, insulin secretion level was increased to 17% higher than in STZ-treated RINm5F cells. These results suggest that the oligopeptide with His-Pro repeats could be a candidate material for anti-diabetic agent against STZ-induced diabetes.

Design rules of optical transmission links with dispersion management (DM) and optical phase conjugation (OPC) for compensating optical signal distortion due to chromatic dispersion and self phase modulation (SPM) of single mode fiber (SMF) are investigated in this paper. Design rules consist of optimal net residual dispersion (NRD) and optimal range of launching power of wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) channels as a function of total transmission length and span length. In all considered total transmission length and span length, optimal NRD are obtained to +10 ps/nm and -10 ps/mn for transmission links, which is controlled by precompensation and postcompensation, respectively. It is confirmed that system performances are more improved and effective NRD for wide launching power have wider range as total transmission length and span length are more decreased.
NCAP(New Car Assessment Program) makes vehicle manufacturer improve safety performance through free competition and customers guarantee vehicle selection by providing information of vehicle safety. That's why it is important not only to meet the regulation, but also to cope with NCAP. EuroNCAP(European New Car Assessment Program) side tests have conducted by using Progressive MDB and Euro SID II in order to reproduce crash test between two vehicles over 10 years. However various researches report that Progressive MDB and Euro SID II do not reflect evolving vehicle design, impact performance and biofidelity of human. Therefore EuroNCAP has the plan to conduct AE-MDB side crash test using WorldSID which is more evolved from 2015 by replacing Progressive MDB and EuroSID II. Automobile manufacturers need to develop safety performance for new test closely. This paper is to find test set-up parameters which affect into dummy injury instead of restraint system and to research on its tendency. It is processed with mini and small car to know influence as changing vehicle size and also analyzed by DFSS(Design for six sigma) which is one of optimization tools. DFSS is vaildated by simulating CAE with L18 orthogonal array of 6 control factors adjustable as EuroNCAP requirement.
Optimal grinding condition was examined by changing only the size of screen opening with fixing other factors to produce coal fines of particle sizes required for circulating fluidized bed gasifier. At least 85 wt% of the coal particles should fall into the size range of 0.045~1.0 mm for efficient gasification. In this study, hammer mill was used to grind Chinese low rank lignite coal following grinding condition designed by Taguchi method. The analysis of signal to noise ratio showed that optimum grinding condition for the gasifier was 3 mm in primary screen size and 1.3 mm in secondary screen size on the 95% level of significance.
