Implementation of Bio-Sensor with Coupled Plasmon-Waveguide Resonance Profile (결합된 플라즈몬-도파관 공진 구조로 구성된 바이오센서의 구현)

  • The bio-sensing properties of TE and TM guided modes in the coupled plasmon-waveguide resonance (PWR) configuration are investigated. The modal transmission-line theory (MTLT) is used for numerical analysis. The proposed PWR bio-sensor is composed of multi-layered configuration with N pairs of MgF2-Si3N4 layers to enhance the sensitivity of a conventional Ag-based surface plasmon resonance bio-sensor. The angular sensitivity of bio-sensor is numerically analyzed for a wide range of biological solutions (refractive index 1.33~1.37). Furthermore, the availability of sensor to detect cancer cells and blood plasma concentration is evaluated. Finally, the results indicate that the proposed bio-sensor is capable efficiently to detect various kinds of cancer cells and different glucose concentrations in urine.

Stress Dependence of Thermal Stability of Nickel Silicide for Nano MOSFETs

  • Dependence of the thermal stability of nickel silicide on the film stress of inter layer dielectric (ILD) layer has been investigated in this study and silicon nitride $(Si_3N_4)$ layer is used as an ILD layer. Nickel silicide was formed with a one-step rapid thermal process at $500^{\circ}C$ for 30 sec. $2000{\AA}$ thick $Si_3N_4$ layer was deposited using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition after the formation of Ni silicide and its stress was split from compressive stress to tensile stress by controlling the power of power sources. Stress level of each stress type was also split for thorough analysis. It is found that the thermal stability of nickel silicide strongly depends on the stress type as well as the stress level induced by the $Si_3N_4$ layer. In the case of high compressive stress, silicide agglomeration and its phase transformation from the low-resistivity nickel mono-silicide to the high-resistivity nickel di-silicide are retarded, and hence the thermal stability is obviously improved a lot. However, in the case of high tensile stress, the thermal stability shows the worst case among the stressed cases.

  • In this paper, we studied structural and magnetic properties of Ba-ferrite thin film deposited on Si(100) substrate with TiO$_2$ underlayer. Ba-ferrite thin films with TiO$_2$ underlayer were deposited by reactive RF/DC magnetron sputtering system at room temperature. TiO$_2$ underlayer was reactive sputtered with $O_2$. After deposition, the thin films were annealed at vatious temperatures to get the crystallized sample. Underlayer was used to prevent interdiffusion from Ba-ferrite thin film to substrate. The growth of Ba-ferrite thin films was influenced by TiO$_2$ underlayer. Easy magnetization direction is in-plane. From these results the Ba-ferrite film with TiO$_2$ underlayer can be used as longitudinal recording media.

Petrology of the Cretaceous Volcanic Rocks in the Hampyeong Area (함평지역 백악기 화산암류에 대한 암석학적 연구)

  • Lithological and petrochemical characteristics and tectonic setting of the Cretaceous volcanic rocks in Hampyeong area located in the southwestern part of Okchon Zone, were studied by field survey and petrochemistry of major, trace, and rare earth elements. The $SiO_2$contents of the volcanic rocks range from 50.8 to 77.2wt.%. With increasing $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3\;^T$, $TiO_2$, MnO, CaO and MgO contents decrease and $K_2O$content increase, but $Na_2O$content is scatter to the trend. According to TAS and AFM diagrams, the Cretaceous volcanic rocks are calc-alkaline series. On the discrimination diagram of $K_2O$versus $SiO_2$, the volcanic rocks belong to high-K rocks series. The trace element compositions and REE patterns of the volcanic rocks, characterized by a high LILE/HFSE ratio and enrichments in LREE, indicate that they are typical of continental margin arc calc-alkaline volcanic rocks associated with the subduction environment. The ratios of Ba/Ta and Ba/La indicate that they are associated with volcanic arc-related magmatism. The Cretaceous volcanic rocks in Hampyeong area might be located in the Eurasian continental margin, related to the Pacific type tectonic environment during the Cretaceous times.

  • Fourier transform 적외선 분광기를 사용하여 원적외선 (<200 cm-1) 영역과 중간적외선 (400-4000 cm-1) 영역에서 열수기원 일라이트의 층간 결합상태와 화학조성간의 관계를 해석하였다. 중간 적외선 영역에서는 2M1 다형의 Al-O-Al 및 Al-O-Si 결합이 1Md 형의 것보다 강한 것으로 나타났다. 원적외선 영역에서는 세 종류의 K-O 결합이 111-114, 135-143 및 167-168 cm-1에서 인지되었다. 2M1과 1Md 다형간의 가장 큰 차이는 2M1형의 층간결합이 1Md형보다 상대적으로 강하여 K가 층간에 보다 강하게 결합되어 있다는 점이며, 두 다형의 층간결합의 상태는 서로 상이하다. K-Oinner band는 (OH) stretching band의 진동수가 높을수록 커지며, (OH) stretching band는 팔면체의 양이온 (Fe+Mg)의 함량에도 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

Interactions of Membrane and PMAP-23 Studied by $^{31}P$ solid-state NMR Spectroscopy

  • [ $^{31}P$ ] powder pattern spectra were measured to investigate the aspects of the interaction between the MLV (Multilamellar vesicle) and PMAP-23, a membrane of cathelicidin family and then CSAs(chemical shift anisotropy) were calculated to indentify the extent of perturbation of phospholipid mobility by the peptides. We found that acidic phospholipid interacts strongly with PMAP-23, and the analogues which modified to increase the amphipathic property showed that larger change of CSA. The analogue which introduced positive charge showed the same effects with amphipathic property.

  • Due to the increased integration density of VLSI circuits a highly reliable thin oxide film is required to fabricate a small geometry MOS device. The behavior of thermal $SiO_2$ under high electric field and current condition has a major effect on MOS device degration and also the practical use of MOS device under irradiation has cause the degration of thin oxide films. In this paper, in order to evaluate the reliability of thin oxides with no stress applied and stressed by the irradiation under low electric field, the tests of TDDB (Time-dependent-dielectric breakdown) are used. Failure times against electric field are examined and acceleration factor is obtained for each case. Based on the experimental data, breakdown wear out limitation for thin oxide films is characterised.

Crystallization of Passivation Glass for Electronic Devices (전자장치용 Passivation 유리의 결정화에 관한 연구)

  • Zinc-Borosilicate(ZnO 65.0wt%, B2O3 21.5wt%, SiO2 9.0wt%, PbO or tiO2 4wt%) passivation glasses were studied using differential thermal analysis(DTA), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) observations, X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and measurement of thermal expansion coefficients. Passivation glasses containing 4wt% TiO2 and 4wt% PbO had crystallization temperature of 680~73$0^{\circ}C$ and major crystalline phases were identified by X-ray diffraction as $\alpha$-ZnO.B2O3 and $\alpha$-5ZnO.2B2O3. As increasing firing temperature, the size of crystalline phases increased by observation of SEM. The thermal expansion coefficient of crystallized glass frits was smaller than that of unfired glass.

  • 지식기반 사회가 전개됨에 따라, 정보통신 기술을 활용한 멀티미디어 교육컨텐츠와 원격교육 시스템 등은 교육 패러다임의 변혁을 주도하고 있다. 이러한 컨텐츠는 호환성과 재사용에 있어 문제를 야기하고 있다. 최근 교육 컨텐츠의 메타데이터 모델링을 중심으로 한 XML 기한 컨텐츠 저작이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 활용도가 낮은 방송실에 구비된 자료를 조사 분석하고 이를 토대로 자료의 표준화 작업을 통해 웹에서 데이터를 사용할 수 있도록 한다. 또한 각 단위학교 간에 데이터를 공유할 수 있도록 XML 기반 컨텐츠를 설계한다.

  • 단동형 비닐하우스는 연동형 비닐하우스에 비해 생력화 및 자동화가 미흡한 재배시설이다. 그러나 전국 시설면적 52,189 ha 중 90%이상이 단동형 비닐하우스로서 대부분 초기투자 부담이 적고 파이프를 이용하여 손쉽게 설치할 수 있는 단동형 비닐하우스를 선호하고 있는 실정이다. 단동형 비닐하우스는 각 지역의 특성에 적합한 고유형 시설로 발전하여 왔기 때문에 폭이 5-6m, 높이가 2-3.5m 정도인 대형 터널형태와 폭이 l0m 이상인 광폭형태 등 규격이 다양하게 설치되어있다. (중략)
