이중층 시료에서 확산에 의한 BiPbSrCaCuO 초전도체 개발 (Development of BiPbSrCaCuO Superconductor by Diffusion of Dual-Layer Sample)

  • The BiPbSrCaCuO superconductor was fabricated by diffusion of The dual layer composed of SrS12TCaS11TCuS12TOS1xT in upper layer and BiS12TPbSI0.3TCuS12TOS1yT in lower layer, and varified growh-mechanism of BiPbSrCaCuO superconducting phase. And, we produced optimum conditions of spread volume and each stage of sintering time were upper layer:Lower layer=1:0.2, 1:0.4, 1:0.6 and 24hr., 120hr., 210hr. From the result, the optimum conditions are spread volume(Upper layer:Lower layer=1:0.6), sintering time(210hrs.) at 820$^{\circ}C$.The BiPbSrCaCuO superconductor, fabricated optimum condition, showed zero resistance at critical temperature of 70k.

ANALYSIS OF THE ANODIC OXIDATION OF SINGLE CRYSTALLINE SILICON IN ETHYLEN GLYCOL SOLUTION

  • Silicon dioxide films were prepared by anodizing silicon wafers in an ethylene $glycol+HNO_3(0.04{\;}N)$ at 20 to $70^{\circ}C$. The voltage between silicon anode and platinum cathode was measured during this process. Under the constant current electrolysis, the voltage increased with oxide film growth. The transition time at which the voltage reached the predetermined value depended on the temperature of the electrolyte. After the time of electrolysis reached the transition time, the anodization was changed the constant voltage mode. The depth profile of oxide film/Si substrate was confirmed by XPS analysis to study the influence of the electrolyte temperature on the anodization. Usually, the oxide-silicon peaks disappear in the silicon substrate, however, this peak was not small at $45^{\circ}C$ in this region.

용사법에 의해 제조된 $Al/Al_2O_3$ 복합재료의 상대재에 따른 마모특성 (Wear Properties of Thermal Sprayed Al-based Metal Matrix Composites Against Different Counterparts)

  • This study aims at investigating the wear properties of thermally sprayed $Al/Al_2O_3$ metal matrix composite(MMC) coating against different counterparts. $Al/Al_2O_3$ MMC coatings were fabricated using a flame spray system on an Al 6061 substrate. Dry sliding wear tests were performed using the sliding speeds of 0.2m/s and the applied loads of 1 and 2 N. AISI 52100, $Al_2O_3$, $Si_3N_4\;and\;ZrO_2$ balls(diameter: 8mm) were used as counterpart materials. Wear properties of $Al/Al_2O_3$ MMC coatings were analyzed using a scanning electron microscope(SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). It was revealed that wear properties of $Al/Al_2O_3$ composite coatings were much influenced by counterpart materials. In the case of AISI 52100 used as counterparts, the wear rate of composites coating layer increased according to the increase of the applied load. On the contrary, in the case of ceramics used as counterparts, the wear rate of composites coating layer decreased according to the increase of the applied load.

산림환경인자가 계류수의 탁수화에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Forest Environmental Factors on Turbidity of Stream Water)

  • 산지소유역의 밤나무림, 소나무림, 개벌조림지를 중심으로 강우특성에 따른 임분별 탁도 변화 특성을 조사하고 탁도 발생에 영향을 미치는 산림환경 인자를 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 임분별 탁도와 관련인자간의 분석에서 색도, 부유물질, 소류토사량, 경사, 강우강도, 선행무강우일수, 유역면적, 유로길이는 1%의 유의수준에서 양의 상관관계를 나타내었고, 누적강우량은 5% 유의수준에서 양의 상관관계를 나타내었다. 또한 산지계류수의 탁도발생에 영향을 미치는 인자를 분석한 결과 선행무강우일수, 강우강도, 유로길이, 색도 및 부유물질의 순으로 나타났으며, 탁도 발생에 영향을 많이 미치는 다중회귀식은 Y(탁도)=-28.125+0.047x(부유물질)+0.058x(색도)+1.518x(강우강도)+0.264x(유로길이)+1.837x(선행무강우일수)로 추정할 수 있었다. 따라서, 산림의 개발과 이용으로 인해 교란된 토양은 강우와 함께 계류로 유출되어 하류의 하천 및 호소의 수질에 영향을 미치므로 산림지역의 산지계류에서는 탁도에 영향을 주는 부유물질 및 토사유출 등을 줄일 수 있도록 버트리스 사방댐이나 수질정화용 사방댐 등 사방구조물의 설치가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

Chemistry of mist deposition of organic polymer PEDOT:PSS on crystalline Si

  • Chemical mist deposition (CMD) of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) was investigated with cavitation frequency f, solvent, flow rate of nitrogen, substrate temperature $T_s$, and substrate dc bias $V_s$ as variables for efficient PEDOT:PSS/crystalline (c-)Si heterojunction solar cells (Fig. 1). The high-speed camera and differential mobility analysis characterizations revealed that average size and flux of PEDOT:PSS mist depend on f, solvent, and $V_s$. The size distribution of mist particles including EG/DI water cosolvent is also shown at three different $V_s$ of 0, 1.5, and 5 kV for a f of 3 MHz (Fig. 2). The size distribution of EG/DI water mist without PEDOT:PSS is also shown at the bottom. A peak maximum shifted from 300-350 to 20-30 nm with a narrow band width of ~150 nm for PEDOT:PSS solution, whose maximum number density increased significantly up to 8000/cc with increasing $V_s$. On the other hand, for EG/water cosolvent mist alone, the peak maximum was observed at a 72.3 nm with a number density of ~700/cc and a band width of ~160 nm and it decreased markedly with increasing $V_s$. These findings were not observed for PEDOT:PSS/EG/DI water mist. In addition, the Mie scattering image of PEDOT:PSS mist under white bias light was not observed at $V_s$ above 5 kV, because the average size of mist became smaller. These results imply that most of solvent is solvated in PEDOT:PSS molecule and/or solvent is vaporized. Thus, higher f and $V_s$ generate preferentially fine mist particle with a narrower band width. Film deposition occurred when $V_s$ was impressed on positive to a c-Si substrate at a Ts of $30-40^{\circ}C$, whereas no deposition of films occurred on negative, implying that negatively charged mist mainly provide the film deposition. The uniform deposition of PEDOT:PSS films occurred on textured c-Si(100) substrate by adjusting $T_s$ and $V_s$. The adhesion of CMD PEDOT:PSS to c-Si enhanced by $V_s$ conspicuously compared to that of spin-coated film. The CMD PEDOT:PSS/c-Si solar cell devices on textured c-Si(100) exhibited a ${\eta}$ of 11.0% with the better uniformity of the solar cell parameters. Furthermore, ${\eta}$ increased to 12.5% with a $J_{sc}$ of $35.6mA/cm^2$, a $V_{oc}$ of 0.53 V, and a FF of 0.67 with an antireflection (AR) coating layer of 20-nm-thick CMD molybdenum oxide $MoO_x$ (n= 2.1) using negatively charged mist of 0.1 wt% 12 Molybdo (VI) phosphoric acid n-Hydrate) $H_3(PMo_{12}O_40){\cdot}nH_2O$ in methanol. CMD. These findings suggest that the CMD with negatively charged mist has a great potential for the uniform deposition of organic and inorganic on textured c-Si substrate by adjusting $T_s$ and $V_s$.

Mechanical Behaviour of Non-Oxide Boride Type Ceramics Formed on The AISI 1040 Plain Carbon Steel

  • A series experiments were performed to evaluate mechanical behavior of non-oxide boride type ceramics formed on the AISI 1040 plain carbon steel. Boronizing was performed in a slurry salt bath consisting of borax, boric acid, and ferro-silicon at $950^{\circ}C$ for 2-6h. The AISI 1040 steel used as substrate material was containing 0.4%C, 0.13%Si, 0.65%Mn, 0.02%P, 0.014%S. The presence of non-oxide boride type ceramics $Fe_2B $ and FeB formed on the surface of steel was confirmed by metallographic technique and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The hardness of borides measured via Vickers indenter with a load of 2N reached a microhardness of up to 1800 DPN. The hardness of unborided steel was 185 DPN. The fracture toughness of borides measured by means of Vickers indenter with a load of 10N was about 2.30 MPa.$m^{1/2}$. The thickness of boride layers ranged from 72$\mu\textrm{m}$ to 145$\mu\textrm{m}$. Boride layers have a columnar morphology.

ICB seeding에 의한 CVD Cu 박막의 증착 및 특성 분석 (Copper Film Growth by Chemical Vapor Deposition: Influence of the Seeding Layer)

  • ICB 공정으로 선행 증착한 Cu Seeding 층이 이후의 CVD 공정으로 증착하는 최종의 Cu 박막의 기계적 전기적 특성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였고, seening을 하지 않은 CVD-Cu 박막과의 특성을 비교하였다. seeding 층을 형성한 경우의 CVD-Cu 박막에 있어서 증착 속도가 증가하였으며, grain 크기의 균일성도 향상되는 경향을 보였다. 증착된 Cu 박막은 seening에 무관하게 모두 FCC 우선배향인 (111)의 결정배향을 나타냈으며, seeding 우에 성정된 박막의 경우 $I_{111}/I_{200}$비가 향상되었다.$ 180^{\circ}C$의 동일 조건하에서 증착하는 경우 $40\AA$ seeding층 위에 성장한 박막의 전기비저항이 $2.42\mu$$\Omega$.cm로 낮은 값을 나타내었으며, 130$\AA$ seeding 경우는 오히려 전기비저항이 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. Cu 박막의 접착력은 seeding층의 두께가 $0\AA$에서 $130\AA$으 증가함에 따라 21N에서 27N 으로 향상되었다.

키토산/제올라이트 복합체의 이산화탄소 흡착 특성 (Adsorption Characteristics of Carbon Dioxide on Chitosan/Zeolite Composites)

  • 이 연구에서는 CO2 가스의 흡착 분리를 위해 현무암 기반 제올라이트에 키토산 수용액을 함침하여 키토산/제올라이트 복합체를 제조하였다. 제조한 복합체의 물리화학적 특성은 SEM, 질소 흡착, FT-IR, TGA, XPS로 분석하였다. 또한 부피식 흡착장치를 이용하여 복합체의 CO2와 N2 흡착량을 298 K에서 측정하고 그 결과를 흡착등온식(Langmuir, Freundlich, Sips)과 흡착에너지 분포함수(AED)로 조사하였다. 복합흡착제의 CO2 흡착량은 키토산과 제올라이트의 구조적 특성과 복합체 표면에 새롭게 형성된 원소인 N/C와 Al/(Si + Al)의 비율에 상관관계가 있었다. 그리고 CO2/N2 분리 선택도는 Langmuir 흡착등온식과 이상흡착용액이론(IAST)을 이용하여 혼합물 조성이 15 V : 85 V, 50 V : 50 V, 85 V : 15 V인 조건에서 비교하였다.

ISO 표준방사선장을 이용한 필름배지의 선량평가 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Dose Evaluation Algorithm for Film Badge Using ISO Reference Radiations)

  • 과학기술처의 개인방사선피폭선량평가에 관한 기술기준이 제정된 이후 TLD에 의한 개인피폭선량평가 기술은 많은 발전이 있었으나, 우리나라 대부분의 방사선관련 산업체에서 방사선 피폭관리용으로 사용되고 있는 필름배지의 정확한 선량평가기술을 확보하기 위한 연구는 아직도 미진한 상태이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 ISO 표준방사선장을 이용하여 i) 실험식에 의한 방법, ii) Degree-of-fit에 의한 방법, 그리고 ) Matrix에 의한 방법으로 필름배지에 의한 선량평가 알고리즘개발방법을 제시하였다. 이러한 방법들에 의한 계산값은 조사량과 ANSI N13.11에서 제시하고 있는 성능지수 이내에서 잘 일치하였으며, 이는 X, ${\gamma}$ 혹은 혼합방사선장에서 선량평가에 유용하게 혼용될 수 있을 것이다.

INITIAL ESTIMATION OF THE RADIONUCLIDES IN THE SOIL AROUND THE 100 MEV PROTON ACCELERATOR FACILITY OF PEFP

  • The Proton Engineering Frontier Project (PEFP) has designed and developed a proton linear accelerator facility operating at 100 MeV - 20 mA. The radiological effects of such a nuclear facility on the environment are important in terms of radiation safety. This study estimated the production rates of radionuclides in the soil around the accelerator facility using MCNPX. The groundwater migration of the radioisotopes was also calculated using the Concentration Model. Several spallation reactions have occurred due to leaked neutrons, leading to the release of various radionuclides into the soil. The total activity of the induced radionuclides is approximately $2.98{\times}10^{-4}Bq/cm^3$ at the point of saturation. $^{45}Ca$ had the highest production rate with a specific activity of $1.78{\times}10^{-4}Bq/cm^3$ over the course of one year. $^3H$ and $^{22}Na$ are usually considered the most important radioisotopes at nuclear facilities. However, only a small amount of tritium was produced around this facility, as the energy of most neutrons is below the threshold of the predominant reactions for producing tritium: $^{16}O(n,\;X)^3H$ and $^{28}Si(n,X)^3H$ (approximately 20 MeV). The dose level of drinking water from $^{22}Na$ was $1.48{\times}10^{-5}$ pCi/ml/yr, which was less than the annual intake limit in the regulations.
