Characterization and deposition of ZnO thin films by Reactive Magnetron Sputtering using Inductively-Coupled Plasma (ICP) (유도결합형 플라즈마를 사용한 반응성 마그네트론 스퍼터링에 의한 ZnO 박막 증착 및 특성분석)

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of shutter control by Reactive Magnetron Sputtering using Inductively-Coupled Plasma(ICP) for obtaining ZnO thin films with high purity. The surface morphologies and structure of deposited ZnO thin films were characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and X-ray Diffractometer (XRD). Also, optical and chemical properties of ZnO thin films were analyzed by Spectroscopic Ellipsometer (SE) and X-ray Photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). As a result, it observed that ZnO thin films grown at reactive sputtering using shutter control and ICP were higher density, lower surface roughness, better crystallinity than other conventional sputtering deposition methods. For obtaining better quality deposition ZnO thin films, we will investigate the effects of substrate temperature and RF power on shutter control by a reactive magnetron sputtering using inductively-coupled plasma.

  • Integral fire shutters are installed indiscriminately, regardless of evacuation. There is always the risk of an accident because integral shutters are applied mainly to corridors, passages, and stairs of schools This study evaluated the problem of integral shutter's entrance, evacuation, construction management, and maintenance control through a fire shutter accident case, including present condition of fire shutter installed at school of Okgil, Bucheon and Dongtan, Hwaseong. The results suggest that emergency lighting or signs for passage be set up to check location of entrance easily and install obstruction sensors at fire shutter to reduce life damage. In addition, the number of efficiency tests of fire shutters should be increased by running a trial test monthly or weekly to maintain the performance of fire shutter. Schools need to install a fire shutter- applied sprinkler at the entire floor.

  • This study showed the possibility of the medical treatment by thermal feedback as the laser medical treatment had given by design of the digital I/O interfaces of the electronic shutter to control the laser beam and the temperature controlled algorithm. The electronic shutter is economical and that is designed to be automatically controlled within the range of an extent temperature by such development of its driving interfaces and the controlled algorithm of the electronic shutter. The possibility of local therapy for the patients by the treatment of the laser beam within an extent temperature controlled, is proposed by improvement of the problems on the current treatment methods such as radiotherapy, high frequency treatment or medical therapy of drug stuffs which even kill the normal cells.

A Numerical Study for the Atrium Smoke Control by Fire Shutter and Evacuation (방화셔터를 이용한 아트리움 제연과 피난안전에 관한 수치해석 연구)

  • Four fire scenarios, as the cases of fire sizes of 2 MW and 5 MW, and no installation and activation of atrium fire shutter for dormitory building of Daegu 'D college', were developed and fire simulations were run using FDS (ver. 5.5.0) and Pathfinder 2009 programs. By assessing fire and evacuation, the effects of atrium fire shutter and vents on the smoke control of atrium were evaluated and this study also analyzed fire hazard and egress safety for occupants in the dormitory. Fire shutter's preventing smoke transport around atrium was much effective, but smoke layer descended down the design limit of smoke height and kept about 2 m height from the atrium floor in all cases because flow rate through vents was not enough. For the case of 5 MW fire and no fire shutter, fire hazard was higher due to visibility than temperature and allowable egress time to stairwell was short less than 5 seconds for the occupants on the floors of 4F to 7F. For total occupants, egress time out of main doorway was calculated about 136 seconds. It is sure that additional systems improving the performance of smoke control need to be installed for more safe evacuation.

  • The most important, essential prerequisite for the improvement of vehicle license plate recognition is the acquisition of high-quality vehicle images. Because typical images acquired from roads are affected by different environmental factors including the time of day, sunlight, and the weather, the brightness and the shape of the license plates in the images are inconsistent. To this end, many image corrections are performed, resulting in slower recognition and lower recognition rate. Therefore, in this study, we used the images acquired from roads to test the proposed method for fast capturing of vivid, high-quality vehicle images by measuring the brightness around license plates during real-time image capturing to control in real time the factors, such as shutter speed, brightness, and gain of the camera, that affect the brightness and the quality of the images.

  • This study analyzed the working conditions and problems of screen fire shutters in the Goyang Bus Terminal fire based on the fire investigation results. At that time, screen fire shutters in the 1st basement, which was under construction, did not work because the power was shut off. Four screen fire shutters in the 1st and 3rd floor did not work despite the power not being shut off. The following problems related to a screen fire shutter were found: shutting off the power to screen fire shutters for the fire compartment on each floor, even when the fire compartments were changed in each area; installing an integral type screen fire shutter without any regulations, installing a two-stage screen fire shutter in a place not related to obstacles during evacuation; stopping the function of the screen fire shutters for a fire compartment on each floor after a combustible sandwich panel was comparted; installing a screen fire shutter over 10 meters in width, in which its performance was not verified; and no safety control standards for reinstalling or maintaining a screen fire shutter.

  • A precision planting system using computer controlled technology for mulching cultivation was developed and tested . The system consisting of a micro-computer, several optical fiber sensors and control actuators realized the mechanization of the precision planting operation. The film hole positions, existences of a seed on shutter were detected and the planting speed was measured. The shutter opening mechanism and a seed metering device driven by a stepping motor were controlled, automatically . The planting timing of the shutter opening mechanism were analyzed from a video camera motion analysis, theoretically. The results showed a sufficient accuracy of a seed planted into the center a film hole with a variety of planting speeded. The gravity point positions in film hole of seeds planted by the system just were within the area of +-5mm of the hole center when the hole diameter was 40mm.

  • Sensing module of standing and moving human body using shutter method was developed. The module consists of Fresnel lens, pyroelectric infrared (PIR) sensor, interface circuit of the PIR, micro control unit(MCU), and alarm light emitting diode(LED). The principle for standing human body is chopping the thermal of human body using camera shutter. The human sensing signal in MCU by algorithm of interrupt function is detected. By unifying an apparatus and print circuit board(PCB), the developed module can be replaced as commercial moving human body detector. Experiment results show that sensing distance is about 7.0m and sensing angles is about $110^{\circ}$ at room temperature. In these condition, sending ratio was 100% and the power dissipation of the module was 100mW.

  • In this paper, an improved AE system for digital still camera is proposed. AE system is auto exposure system to maintain optimized brightness of output image. But there is limitation for mobile devices to get high quality image with the conventional AE algorithm, because of organizational restriction of system. The conventional research has been studied only electronic shutter and AGC on the AE algorithm. In this paper, we suggest new AE algorithm included target setting, frame delay, Gamma Correction as well as electronic shutter and AGC to get high quality image. The proposed algorithm show improved result at control speed and ability of luminance expression.
