Dysplastic nevus is common and affects about 10% of the northern European-descendent population. Studies over the past several decades have identified dysplastic nevi as a risk factor for malignant melanoma. Furthermore, in rare cases, they confirmed that dysplastic nevi have progressed to melanoma. Cases in which dysplastic nevi progressed to malignant melanoma in multiple studies are not uncommon. A 35-year-old woman presented with the major symptom of multiple itchy brown nodules ($2.0cm{\times}1.3cm$) in the left cheek that had first appeared 20 years earlier. Complete excision was performed at the first visit; subsequent biopsy confirmed that they were dysplastic nevi. They recurred three times over 3 years at the same site, all of which were histologically diagnosed as dysplastic nevi. Five years after the final excision, a brownish nodule developed in the left cheek, with others at the left temporal region, right retroauricular region, and left shoulder at the same time. These lesions were histologically diagnosed as malignant melanoma. We experienced a case of malignant melanoma that occurred at the same site after three recurrences of dysplastic nevi. Although rare, the possibility of malignant melanoma should be considered in follow-ups in cases involving repeatedly recurrent dysplastic nevi.
Purpose: increased uptake of wrist and hand joints in three phase bone scintigraphy (TPBS) have been used in the detection of reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSDS). TPBS frequently shows increased shoulder uptake in the hemiplegic RSDS patients. We investigated the significance of the shoulder uptake in the detection of these patients. Materials and Methods: Twenty three patients who had hemiplegia due to brain stroke and diagnosed as RSD were enrolled in this study (M:F=16:7, R:L=11:12). The mean age was $63{\pm}10$ yrs. Ter normal volunteer (mean age: $60{\pm}5$, M:F=1:9) data was used as control group. TPBS was performed $59{\pm}32$ days after stoke (acute stage). We obtained the count ratios of bilateral hands by drawing a region of interest (ROI) in three phase images and compared to the count ratios of shoulders in the delayed image. Hand ROI included an ipsilateral wrist. Sensitivity of detecting the affected limb was defined using the right/left count ratio of normal control. Results: Sensitivities using count ratios of hand blood flow, blood pool and delayed image were 45%, 76% and 78%, respectively. Sensitivity of shoulder count ratio was 74%. Log of right/left counts of hand delayed image and that of shoulder delayed image were correlated well with statistical significance (Spearman's R=0.824, p<0.001). Conclusion: Shoulder uptake showed good correlation with hand uptake in the delayed image of TPBS. Shoulder uptake maybe helpful in the diagnosis of reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome in patients with hemiplegia.
Cleidocranial dysplasia is a rare and autosomal dominent disorder characterized by aplasia or hypoplasia of the clavicles, an open fontanelle, dental abnormalities, and short stature, A 17-year-old female who presented with short stature and subsequent delay in eruption of permanent teeth is described. she showed the abnormal hypermobility of the shoulder, ocular hypertelorism and concave nasal bridge. Radiographs revealed the underdeveloped maxilla, defect of the cranium in the fontanelle region, and aplasia of the clavicles. Characteristically, panoramic view revealed near parallel-sided borders of the ascending ramus and downward curvature of the zygomatic arch with hypoplasia. The prolonged retention of deciduous teeth with delayed eruption of permanent teeth and multiple embedded supernumerary teeth were striking. Radiographic and clinical investigations revealed Cleidocranial dysplasia.

This paper describes how a person extracts a unknown object with pointing gesture while interacting with a robot. Using a stereo vision sensor, our proposed method consists of two stages: the detection of the operators' face, the estimation of the pointing direction, and the extraction of the pointed object. The operator's face is recognized by using the Haar-like features. And then we estimate the 3D pointing direction from the shoulder-to-hand line. Finally, we segment an unknown object from 3D point clouds in estimated region of interest. On the basis of this proposed method, we implemented an object registration system with our mobile robot and obtained reliable experimental results.
The causes, risk factors and sequelae of mastectomy were studied, and the physical therapy approaches on post-mastectomy was discussed in this study. It was found that the patients taken mastectomy have experienced pins and needles in muscle, weakening of muscle, pains, deterioration of motion in joint region and activities of daily living, psychiatric sequelae, and etc even after the conservertive therapies like the chemical therapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and hormone therapy. However, few study on the physical therapy approaches for patients with breast cancer has been carried in Korea at present. The followings were proposed as the physical therapy approaches. 1. Shoulder joint motion approach to relax the limit of range of motion 2. Control of breathing exercise for dealing with removal of the pectorailis muscle 3. Method to reduce the edema of arms for tackling the cut of lymph node 4. Method to reduce pains, pins and needles 5. Support home exercise program after discharging from hospital, sexual life and pregnancy, and activities of daily living training method.
A numerical study is carried out to examine the ignition and propagation process of detonation wave in SCRam-accelerator operating in superdetonative mode. The time accurate solution of Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations for chemically reacting flow is obtained by using the fully implicit numerical method and the higher order upwind scheme. As a result, it is clarified that the ignition process has its origin to the hot temperature region caused by shock-boundary layer interaction at the shoulder of projectile. After the ignition, the oblique detonation wave is generated and propagates toward the inlet while constructing complex shock-shock interaction and shock-boundary layer interaction. Finally, a standing oblique detonation wave is formed at the conical ramp.
Disorders related to the cervical spine can present a variety of signs and symptoms because of the many tissues and systems associated with this region. Therefore the challenge for the clinician is to organize the information from examination into a treatment plan that addresses the potential influences of the problem. the examination process should gather pertinent information from the patients, relating the pain pattern resulting loss of function. Our patients' X-rays showed absence of any abnormalities except loss of curvature. We therefore concluded that the main cause of posterior neck and shoulder pain was caused by muscle spasm, not cervical disc herniation not degenerative change.

This study investigated physiology and psychological response of subjects, when heat pump was operated long time within comfort temperature range. Eight subjects were participated for the experiment. Their age was from 22 to 25 years old. The results of this experiment will propose basic data for improving comfort control algorithm in fluctuating environment by using heat pump. When indoor temperature was controlled by heat pump, the conclusion was as follows. 1) When votes of subjects was considered, the thermal comfort neutrality or lower range helped formation of comfort sensation for subjects. 2) When room temperature was lower, thermal comforts of shoulder, knee and foot with subjects thermal comfort showed high correlation. And when room temperature was higher, thermal comfort of face region with subjects thermal comfort showed high correlation. 3) The necessity of temperature change after 50 minutes from initially operating heat pump demands the additional analysis against the physiological signal.
Multiple symmetrical lipomatosis (MSL), also called Madelung's disease, is a rare disorder of unknown etiology and characterized by abnormal accumulation of large subcutaneous fatty masses in neck, shoulder, and upper trunk. MSL has known to predominantly affect middle-aged men with a history of alcoholism. Although the clinical course of MSL is considered to be slowly progressive, in advanced stage, fatty masses in the neck may compress the upper aerodigestive tract, resulting in dyspnea and dysphagia. The treatment of MSL is surgical resection, but radical excision is very difficult and recurrence after surgery is frequent. We report the case of 55-year-old man with long lasting MSL, which caused severe airway obstruction. This patient was admitted with progressive dyspnea and massive accumulation of fat around the vocal cord that was detected on a neck CT scan. This abnormal fatty infiltration in supraglottic region caused upper airway obstruction.

The objective of the study was to investigate the effect of feeding fibrous diets on growth performance and occurrence of aggressive behaviours in growing pigs. Sixty healthy castrated pigs (initial body weight: $46.7{\pm}4.35$ kg) were used. A basal diet was diluted with maize cobs to two levels (0 and 160 g/kg dry matter). Behavioural activities were observed using video cameras for three weeks, 8 h/d starting at 0800 h. Pigs subjected to control diet gained more weight compared to pigs receiving fibrous diet in week 1 (0.47 vs 0.15 kg, respectively) and 2 (1.37 vs 1.04, respectively) (p<0.05). Average daily gain was not affected by treatment diet in the third week. Pigs on high fibrous spent more time eating, lying down, standing, walking and fighting (p<0.05) compared to pigs on control diet. Time spent eating increased as the weeks progressed whilst time spent lying down decreased. Time of day had an effect on time spent on different behavioural activities exhibited by all pigs on different treatment diet (p<0.05). Inactivity was greatest in 5th (1200 to 1300 h) hour of the day for all the pigs on different dietary treatments. Skin lesions appeared the most on neck and shoulder region followed by chest, stomach and hind leg region, and finally head region (p<0.05). Pigs on high fibre diet had more skin lesions in all body regions compared to pigs on control diet (p<0.05). It can be concluded that the high fibrous diet with maize cobs did not affect growth performance and also did not reduce aggressive behaviours. Aggressive behaviours emanated out of frustration when queuing on the feeder. The findings of this study suggest that maize cobs can be included at a level of 160 g/kg in diets of pigs. However, to reduce the level of aggression more feeding space should be provided.
