'Kite' is a newly developed single-channel seismic imaging system capable of producing high resolution three dimensional images of subbottom geology in one traverse of a survey region. The system consists of a horizontally towed hydrophone array and active source. The hydrophone array is towed axis perpendicular to ship direction and the airgun source at the end of the hydrophone array is excited at timed intervals during the progression. The construction of the three dimensional subbottom image was made simply by using conventional multichannel seismic reflection data processing techniques. Common source shot (CSS) gathers of the hydrophone traces are evaluated using Dix's equation for average interval velocity of each subbottom layer. From the interval velocity profile and the normal consolidation stress condition, values of shear modulus, porosity, and shear velocity are deduced from the chosen values of physical constants. The system has been successfully tested at several locations on the North Atlantic continental shelf.
Velocity structures were defined in the vicinty of the 140-m deep test borehole in the pungam basin through simultaneous inversion of surface seismic refraction and far-ofset VSP traveltime data. Seismicenergy generated at the surface by a seisgun was recorded both at 42 surface locations at 3-m intervalsalong the profiles in the N20E and its orthogonal directions and at 71 m depth in the borehole. Forthe ofset VSP study, seismic energy was generated by a 5 kg sledgehamer at the surface in the horizontal ofset range of -19.5∼+19.5 m from the borehole. The seismic signals were detected at 9∼99 m depths with 1∼2 m intervals and recorded for 204 ms per shot. After shot static corrections,first-arrival times picked from both the surface refraction and borehole records were simultaneouslyinverted to yield velocity tomograms. The tomograms indicate that a 1.5 m thick soil layer with velocities les than 500 m/s overlies basements having a velocity range of 3,067 ∼5,717 m/s. Within the basements,∼4 m and deeper than 71 m. The high-velocit yzones may be due to conglomerates intercalated with sandstones and siltstones. No evidence for large-scale fracture zones or faults is detected near the borehole
The vacuum die casting is a promising candidate of the stamping process for fabrication of fuel cell bipolar plate due to its advantages, such as precision casting, mass production and short production time. This study proposes vacuum die casting process to fabricate bipolar plates in fuel cell. Bipolar plates were fabricated under various injection conditions such as molten metal temperature and injection velocity. Also, according to injection velocity conditions, simulation results of MAGMA soft were compared to the experimental results. In case of melt temperature $650^{\circ}C$, misrun occurred. When the melt temperature was $730^{\circ}C$, mechanical properties were low due to dendrite microstructure. Injection velocity has to set at more than 2.0 m/s to fabricate the sound sample. When melt temperature, injection velocity (Fast shot), and vacuum pressure are $700^{\circ}C$, 2.5 m/s and 30 kPa respectively, sample had good formability and few casting defects. Simulation results are mostly in agreement with experimental results.

A study of gas hydrate is a worldwide popular interesting subject as a potential energy source. A seismic survey for gas hydrate have performed over the East sea by the KIGAM since 1997. General indicators of natural submarine gas hydrates in seismic data is commonly inferred from the BSR (Bottom Simulating Reflection) that occurred parallel to the see floor, amplitude decrease at the top of the BSR, amplitude Blanking at the bottom of the BSR, decrease of the interval velocity, and the reflection phase reversal at the BSR. So the seismic data processing for detecting gas hydrates indicators is required the true amplitude recovery processing, a accurate velocity analysis and the AVO (Amplitude Variation with Offset) analysis. In this paper, we had processed the field data to detect the gas hydrate indicators, which had been acquired over the East sea in 1998. Applied processing modules are spherical divergence, band pass filtering, CDP sorting and accurate velocity analysis. The AVO analysis was excluded, since this field data had too short offset to apply the AVO analysis. The accurate velocity analysis was performed by XVA (X-window based Velocity Analysis). This is the method which calculate the velocity spectrum by iterative and interactive. With XVA, we could determine accurate stacking velocity. Geobit 2.9.5 developed by the KIGAM was used for processing data. Processing results say that the BSR occurred parallel to the sea floor were shown at $367\~477m$ depths (two way travel time about 1800 ms) from the sea floor through shot point 1650-1900, the interval velocity decrease around BSR and the reflection phase reversal corresponding to the reflection at the sea floor.
An improved method to predict preferred direction of gas in gas assisted injection molding processes is introduced. Resistance of resin flow is defined and this resistance of resin flow is not directly related to the resistance of gas flow. Pressure drop requirement was believed to be proportional to the resistance to gas flow in our previous work. Instead of using the pressure drop requirement, velocity of resin should be compared to predict the gas flow direction. This method predicts the gas flow direction from the knowledge of process variables such as resin flow length, cross section area of cavity, melt temperature, and short shot. A simulation package was used to confirm the method.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic difference between skilled and less skilled group for the forward walk at dance sports rumba. Six female players(skilled group: 3, less skilled group: 3) were participated as the subjects. To obtain the three-dimensional location coordinates in the joints and segments, it shot with 100Hz/s using 8 video cameras. Step length, shoulder rotation angle, orientation angle and angular velocity of pelvis were analyzed for each trail. The skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at the shoulder rotation angle and ROM. The skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at the up/down obliquity and internal/external rotation movement for pelvis. And the skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at Maximum angle (down obliquity) of P2 and Maximum angle (up obliquity) of P3 to pelvis ROM. The skilled group showed a faster angular velocity than the less skilled group at P2 (+ direction, posterior) of anterior & posterior tilt, P2 & P3 (- direction, up) of up & down obliquity, and P2 (+ direction, external) of internal & external rotation.

Prestack depth migration is used to image for complex geological structure such as faults, folds, and subsalt. In this case, it is widely used the surface reflection data as a input data. However, the surface reflection data have intrinsic problems to image the subsalt and the salt flank due to the complex wavefields and multiples which come from overburden. For overcoming the structural defect of the surface reflection data in the imaging, I used the virtual sources in terms of seismic interferometry to image the subsurface and suppress the multiples using the velocity model of the lower part of the virtual sources. The results of the prestack depth migration using virtual source gathers and velocity model below receivers are similar geological interfaces to the results from shot gathers of the conventional ocean bottom seismic survey. And especially artificial interfaces by multiples were suppressed without applying any other data processing to eliminate multiples. This study results by numerical modeling can make a valuable imaging tool when it is applied to satisfied field data for specific condition.
In the main target area of the block II, Targe-scale faults occur below the unconformity developed around 1 km in depth. The contrast of seismic velocity around the unconformity is generally so large that the strong multiples and the radical velocity variation would deteriorate the quality of migrated section due to serious distortion. More than 15 kinds of data processing techniques have been applied to improve the image resolution for the structures farmed from this active crustal activity. The bad and noisy traces were edited on the common shot gathers in the first step to get rid of acquisition problems which could take place from unfavorable conditions such as climatic change during data acquisition. Correction of amplitude attenuation caused from spherical divergence and inelastic attenuation has been also applied. Mild F/K filter was used to attenuate coherent noise such as guided waves and side scatters. Predictive deconvolution has been applied before stacking to remove peg-leg multiples and water reverberations. The velocity analysis process was conducted at every 2 km interval to analyze migration velocity, and it was iterated to get the high fidelity image. The strum noise caused from streamer was completely removed by applying predictive deconvolution in time space and ${\tau}-P$ domain. Residual multiples caused from thin layer or water bottom were eliminated through parabolic radon transform demultiple process. The migration using curved ray Kirchhoff-style algorithm has been applied to stack data. The velocity obtained after several iteration approach for MVA (migration velocity analysis) was used instead or DMO for the migration velocity. Using various testing methods, optimum seismic processing parameter can be obtained for structural and stratigraphic interpretation in the Block II, Yellow Sea Basin.
There are many Problems such as low detection ratio, velocity and increase of false hit ratio on the detection of gradual scene changes with the previous shot transition detection algorithms. In this paper, we Propose an improved dissolve detection method using color information on low-frequency subband and edge elements on high-frequency subband. The Possible dissolve transition are found by analyzing the edge change ratio in the high-frequency subband with edge elements of each direction. Using the double chromatic difference on the lowest frequency subband, we have the improvement of the dissolve detection ratio. The simulation results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is better than the conventional one for dissolve detection on a diverse set of uncompressed video sequences.
A new sedimentary basin is reported from the marine multi-channel seismic data which were acquired for the hydrocarbon exploration on the southwestern Korean continental shelf in 1970. Along the southeastern part of Line 1192, the about 60-km-long basin with the thickness of 0.55~1.1 s is observed on the near-trace gather. However, both new and previous 24-fold stack sections fail to show the basin image probably due to its rugged top beneath the shallow water. The boundary contact between the basement with the velocity of about 5200m/s and the basin filling with the velocities of 4300~4700 m/s is unclear. These velocites are calculated from the corresponding shot gathers. Compared with the Haenam Basin, a neighbouring onshore Cretaceous sedimentary basin, we interpret that the new basin includes the volcanics and volcaniclastic sequences deposited in the lacustrine environment. This nonmarine basin was possibly formed as the result of the tectonic movement during the Cretaceous, implying the wide occurrence of the Cretaceous basins over the southern Korean Peninsula as well as its southwestern continental shelf.
