  • Microblog services are such new communication channels with some considerable potential to improve information sharing. The idea of sharing short messages using multiple access points seems to be appealing to people worldwide. Through the lens of flow and social identity, we explored factors that influence information sharing behaviors in microblog services. With an empirical study, we examined enjoyment and concentration(flow) and self-presentation(social identity) in microblog services like twitter can contribute to the user behaviors. Our aim was to gain insight into ways of creating an environment that facilitating voluntary sharing of information. Our findings suggested that enjoyment, concentration, and selfpresentation were crucial determinants of information sharing behaviors in microblog services. This study has important implications for academic researchers and practitioners who seek to understand why microblog service users share their information with other members in microblog services.

  • This paper analyses the real-time performance of Ethernet based intranet whether it is applicable to the real-time network. Unpredictability of transmission delay by collision-delay-retransmission mechanism in CAMA/CD(Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detect) of Ethernet is the major reason making hard to apply to real-time system. Both retransmission mechanism of TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) for reliability and sliding windows algorithm for high utilization make hard to predict transmission delay. Because real-time control network require fast responsibility and bustle of short-periodic messages, global-clock for collision avoidance and UDP(User Datagram Protocol) for high utilization of network are used. The mathematical models for time-delay that can be occured between ...

  • Communication network in KTX (Korea Train eXpress), the express train system, has to transmit status variables periodically within tens of seconds and real-time control informations which has short reply like status transition or alarm. KTX uses $Tornad^*$ (TOken Ring Network Alsthom Device) network for this purpose. This network can send and receive messages which enable express train applications embedded in intelligence boards to communicate by itself. Layer 1, 2 of $Tornad^*$ is implemented with differential manchester encoding and IEEE 802.4 standard(token bus standard) respectively. To implement layer 1 and 2, we implemented twisted pair modem using FPGA for layer 1 and used MC68824 from Motorola for layer 2. MC68824 bus arbitration and memory controller is implemented using CPLD.

  • Twitter is a microblogging service that allows its user to share short messages called tweets with each other. All the tweets are visible on a public timeline. These tweets have the valuable geospatial component and particularly time critical events. In this paper, our interest is in the rapid detection of disaster events such as tsunami, tornadoes, forest fires, and earthquakes. We describe the detection system of disaster events and show the way to detect a target event from Twitter data. This research examines the three disasters during the same time period and compares Twitter activity and Internet news on Google. A significant result from this research is that emergency detection could begin using microblogging service.

  • Hyperelliptic Curve Cryptosystem (HECC) is well suited for all kinds of embedded processor architectures, where resources such as storage, time, or power are constrained due to short operand sizes. We can construct genus 3 HECC on 54-bit finite fields in order to achieve the same security level as 160-bit ECC or 1024-bit RSA due to the algebraic structure of Hyperelliptic Curve. This paper explores various possible attacks to the discrete logarithm in the Jacobian of a Hyperelliptic Curve (HEC) and addition and doubling of the divisor using explicit formula to speed up the scalar multiplication. Our aim is to develop a cryptosystem that can sign and authenticate documents and encrypt / decrypt messages efficiently for constrained devices in wireless networks. The performance of our proposed cryptosystem is comparable with that of ECC and the security analysis shows that it can resist the major attacks in wireless networks.

  • Given the bandwidth assignment for dedicated short range communications for use in vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) and the expected introduction of equipment in the next few years, we elaborate on how VANET can support infotainment services. We define an architectural model for the integration of VANETs and cellular networks, according to a push mode paradigm where VANETs are used primarily to disseminate service announcements and general interest messages. Cooperation with cellular network is addressed by comparing architecture alternatives. A set of information dissemination protocols for VANETs is compared via simulations on a real urban map. Some results from a lab testbed based on IEEE 802.11p boards are presented along with an application developed for Android operating system to demonstrate the concept of the paper.

  • In mobile communication, mobile services [MSs] (e.g., phone calls, short/multimedia messages, and Internet data) incur a cost to both mobile users (MUs) and mobile service providers (MSPs). The proposed model MobPrice consists of dynamic data pricing schemes for mobile communication in order to achieve optimal usage of MSs at minimal prices. MobPrice inspires MUs to subscribe MSs with flexibility of data sharing and intra-peer exchanges, thereby reducing overall cost. The main contributions of MobPrice are three-fold. First, it proposes a novel k-level data-pricing (kDP) scheme for MSs. Second, it extends the kDP scheme with the notion of service-sharing-based pricing schemes to a collaborative peer-to-peer data-pricing (pDP) scheme and a cluster-based data-pricing (cDP) scheme to incorporate the notion of 'cluster' (made up of two or more MUs) in mobile communication. Third, our performance study shows that the proposed schemes are indeed effective in maximizing MS subscriptions and minimizing MS's price/user.

  • High sped messaging layer for application's feeling of low level network performance is needed by Clustering System based on high speed network fabrics. It should have the mechanism to directly pass messages between network card and application space, and provide flexible affodabilities for many diverse applications. In this paper, CROWN (Clustering Resources On Workstations' Network) which is designed and implemented for multi-purpose clustering system will be introduced briefly, and CLCP(CROWN Lean Communication Primitives)which is the high speed messaging layer for CROWN will be followed. CLCP consists of a firmware for controlling Myrinet card, device drier, and user libraries. CLCP supports various application domains as a result of pooling and interrupt receive mechanism. In case of polling based receive, 8 bytes short message, and no other process, CLCP has 262 micro-second response time between two nodes, and IM bytes large message, it shows 442Mbps bandwidth.

  • As of 2006. 3. the twitter offered in the USA has been one of the propaganda instrument used with ads and politics functioning speedy information diffusion on SNS communicated with others through 140 letters of short messages. and while twitter is using propaganda instrument, it keeps on trying to verify how it has an effect on. So, on the paper, I suggest new simulation model of information diffusion based on probability being able to predict the range of proliferation after it analyze the existing influence and the diffusion force on verification methods. It designed algorithm of verification and algorithm of prediction to use twitter's Open API with Python basement. It proved effectiveness on the model through the analysis to operate the twitter of practical local autonomous entity.

  • In this paper, we introduce a novel Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) based message authentication scheme that takes advantage of temporal and spatial uniqueness in physical layer channel responses for each transmission pair in vehicular communication networks. The proposed scheme aims at achieving fast authentication and minimizing the packet transmission overhead without compromising the security requirements, in which most messages can be authenticated through an extreme fast physical-layer authentication mechanism. We will demonstrate that the proposed secure authentication scheme can achieve very short message delay and reduced communication overhead through extensive analysis and simulation.
