Introduction: Mobile learning enables users to interact with educational resources while in variable locations. Medical students in residency positions need to assimilate considerable knowledge besides their practical training and we therefore aimed to evaluate the impact of using short message service via cell phone as a learning tool in residents of Obstetrics and Gynecology in our hospital. Methods: We sent short messages including data about breast cancer to the cell phones of 25 residents of gynecology and obstetrics and asked them to study a well-designed booklet containing another set of information about the disease in the same period. The rate of learning derived from the two methods was compared by pre- and post-tests and self-satisfaction assessed by a relevant questionnaire at the end of the program. Results: The mobile learning method had a significantly better effect on learning and created more interest in the subject. Conclusion: Learning via receiving SMS can be an effective and appealing method of knowledge acquisition in higher levels of education.

In the recent years, as smart phones popularized, the number of people who use IMS (instant messaging service) and SNS (social network service) rapidly has increased as the usage of SMS (short message service) relatively decreased. That is why this thesis suggests a contact control service based on Android. It contains an inducing function that calls acquaintances, which were given a score based on the level of familiarity from saved contacts and call logs. And it provides an overall ranking of call log in order to grasp frequently called people. This developed system was tested on Samsung Galaxy S2 and LG Optimus LTE / Android 2.2 which were the main smart phone models.

Nowadays, there are actually lots of changes in wireless communications of Korea. But it is not an exact PTP(Peer to Peer) Communication. In other words, a mobile station which can find fixed station can be connected with wireless internet server or other services, oppositely fixed station cannot approach to mobile station. Even though it exists, it is difficult to communicate with full duplex. We can service using CDMA 1X techniques such as cellular based SMS (Short Message Service) service or very simple MPRG Services. In this paper, we propose a system, using DirectX based mobile/fixed station stand alone program, depending on bandwidth of wireless service provider, tranceiving high resolution moving picture or reliable data regularly by a fixed connection each other.

스마트폰 보급은 현대인들에게 시간적, 공간적 제약에서 벗어나 언제 어디서나 무선 인터넷을 사용하여 모바일 뱅킹, 결재, 증권거래 등 원하는 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 해주었다. 사용자들은 이를 이용하여 다양한 정보들을 검색, 저장, 이용한다. 그러나 무선 인터넷의 순기능과는 반대로 최근 모바일 기기의 보안취약점을 이용한 악성애플리케이션 및 각종 공격으로 사용자 개인정보탈취의 위협이 증가하고 있다. 사회공학공격의 일종인 피싱(Phishing)은 신뢰받는 기관을 사칭하여 만들어놓은 가짜사이트에 사용자로부터 자신의 개인정보 및 금융정보를 입력하게끔 유도하여 사용자정보를 탈취하는 방법으로 최근 SMS를 이용하여 정부 및 금융기관을 사칭한 문자를 보내 피싱사이트로 접속을 유도하는 피해사례가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내 피싱사이트의 유형을 분석하고 피싱사이트로 접근을 유도하는 방법 중 하나인 SMS를 이용한 피싱을 방지 할 수 있는 시스템을 고안한다.

In this paper, we propose a hybrid method of Machine Learning (ML) algorithm and a rule-based algorithm to implement a lightweight Named Entity (NE) extraction system for Korean SMS text. NE extraction from Korean SMS text is a challenging theme due to the resource limitation on a mobile phone, corruptions in input text, need for extension to include personal information stored in a mobile phone, and sparsity of training data. The proposed hybrid method retaining the advantages of statistical ML and rule-based algorithms provides fully-automated procedures for the combination of ML approaches and their correction rules using a threshold-based soft decision function. The proposed method is applied to Korean SMS texts to extract person's names as well as location names which are key information in personal appointment management system. Our proposed system achieved 80.53% in F-measure in this domain, superior to those of the conventional ML approaches.

본 논문은 계기 영상을 캡처하고, 숫자를 자동인식하며 데이터를 PCS 데이터 망을 통하여 무선으로 전송하는 원격 영상 검침 시스템을 구현한다. 기존의 가스/수도 미터기를 그대로 사용하면서 소형, 저가의 흑백 CMOS 카메라를 미터기 계기판 전면에 밀착하여 설치하고 NTSC 카메라 영상을 얻는다. 원격 데이터 전송을 위해 상업적인 PCS 망에서 제공되는 SMS를 이용한다. 계기 영상의 캡처를 위해 DVR 및 숫자 인식 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 이외에 SMS 및 계기 선택기의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어를 개발하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects on obesity of nurse education using the short message service (SMS) of cellular phones and wire Internet. Method: Forty patients in an experimental group, which was assessed pre- and post intervention, completed this study. The patients were divided into two groups according to degree of obesity. The goal of the intervention was to keep blood glucose concentrations close to the normal range. The intervention was applied weekly for 3 months. Participants were requested to input the blood glucose level everyday at http://www.biodang.com by cellular phone or wire internet. The researcher sent optimal recommendations to each patient using SMS of cellular phones and wire Internet. The plasma glucose levels and serum lipids were measured before and after the intervention. Results: After 3 months of education, Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc) decreased by 1.4% in non-obese patients and 0.7% in obese patients. Fasting plasma glucose (FPG) decreased 22.6mg/dl in non-obese patients and 22.3mg/dl in obese patients. Two-hour plasma glucose (2HPG) decreased 97.0mg/dl in non-obese patients and 67.8mg/dl in obese patients. Conclusion: These results indicate that a nurse SMS intervention would improve HbAlc, FPG, and 2HPG in both non-obese and obese patients.

이동전화 번호이동성 구현을 위한 망기능 규격은 QoR 방식으로 이동전화 번호이동성(Mobile Number Portability, MNP)을 imt-2000 이동전화 상호간에 제공하기 위한 망의 기능구조 및 정보흐름을 규정한다. 본 논문에서는 번호이동성 요구사항에 따라, 소요되는 망기능 및 시스템 기능을 정의하고, 이들 기능간에 주고받는 정보를 규정한다. 본 논문은 번호이동성에 따른 SMS(Short Message Service)의 처리방법 또한 규정한다.

본 연구는 무선인터넷의 개념 및 특성을 고찰하고 도서관 무선인터넷 서비스의 국내외 현황과 이용자들의 이용실태 및 요구사항 등을 분석하였다. 도서관 무선인터넷 서비스가 활성화되기 위해서는 도서관의 전략적인 계획 및 홍보, 학생들의 선호하는 유형의 무선인터넷 서비스의 우선 도입, 무선인터넷 요금과 직관되는 무선인터넷 접속 시간을 줄이기 위한 서비스 메뉴의 엄선, 그리고 마지막으로 대학 당국의 일관성 있는 재정 지원이 필요함을 제안하였다.

최근 들어 정보통신분야에 있어서 가장 화두가 되고 있는 용어가 유비쿼터스란 용어이다. 유비쿼터스(ubiquitous)는 '모든 곳에 있다'라는 뜻을 가지고 있으며 우리의 모든 일상이 네트워크로 연결되어 있는 상태를 말한다. 다양한 정보망에서 필요한 정보를 언제 어디서든지 간단하고 안전하게 손에 넣을 수 있다는 것을 뜻한다. 이 말은 인터넷을 포함한 앞으로의 정보화 사회를 장기간 이끌어 가는 상징적인 키워드가 될 것으로 전망된다. 유비쿼터스는 이미 우리 실세계에 깊숙히 파고들어와 있다. 은행에 가면 우리의 일거수일투족이 `CCTV'에 잡히게 되며 휴대전화에 내장된 GPS 시스템은 인공위성과 연결하여 가장 빠른 길을 알려주며 핸드폰이나 PDA를 이용한 주식거래도 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 그 중에서도 가장 우리와 가까이에 위치하고 있는 모바일에 있어서도 수많은 서비스들이 우리 생활에 깊숙이 들어와 있다. 본 논문은 그 중에서도 우리에게 가장 친숙하게 다가와 있는 모바일 SMS(Short Message Service)에 있어서 기존 SMS서비스 전송방식과는 달리 무선 인터넷을 활용한 SMS 전송방식으로 보다 효율적인 서비스체계와 비용절감 및 다양한 사업 모델링을 통한 부가가치 창출을 목표로 하고 있다.
