Therefore, underground passage shopping center needs physical environment that everyone (such as ordinary adults, seniors, disabled and ETC) could use it without any difficulties. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the application of universal design into main entrance space of underground passage shopping center. The scope of this research was adjusted as 8 underground passage shopping centers that are located in Seoul. Spacial scope of the research was set as public space such as main entrance space, slope way, stairway of underground passage shopping center and the content of scope of this research was the application of universal design. The conclusion of this research is as following. First, public space of underground passage shopping center needs physical environmental improvement for the convenient usage for seniors and disabled. Second, the application of universal design is needed for public space for shelter and rescue of underground passage shopping center. Third, Underground passage shopping center needs a plan to minimize the safety infringement of user by commercial activity of stores in it.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate consumers' buying intention toward fashion goods through global internet shopping malls. This research employed Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework and was extended to introduce fashion innovativeness, clothing involvement, consumers' needs for uniqueness, computer self-efficacy as external factors. A total of 381 copies of questionnaires were collected online. The subjects of this study were women. The collected date were analysed by factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, correlation and path analysis. The results indicated that fashion innovativeness, clothing involvement and consumers' needs for uniqueness had a significant positive affect on perceived usefulness. Consumers' needs for uniqueness and computer self-efficacy had a significant positive affect on perceived ease of use. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were found to influence buying intention toward fashion goods through global internet shopping malls. The results of this study also suggested that perceived ease of use was actually a causal antecedent to perceived usefulness. This study reveled that employing TAM to investigate the buying intention toward fashion goods through global internet shopping malls was appropriate. This study also provides empirical analysis that can serve as a guide for marketers of the fashion industry in activating global internet shopping malls.

  • Even though users choose goods they want to buy in on-line shopping malls, real purchase is often performed in off-line shopping malls. It is called reverse showrooming. It means that users' analysis of goods based on images and description of internet shopping malls has limitation. Thus, large-scale online shopping malls provide a customized shopping information. However, in that case, the provided information is a simple list of goods users bought or retrieved. Thus, a system to analyze various needs of users and apply the result into on-line shopping mall is necessary. In this paper, an analysis system is proposed. The system contains a module to analyze user defined preference and a module to analyze users' reviews. The former designates two goods and collects preferences of individual users. the latter analyzes reviews about purchased goods based on database dictionary stored in advance for analyzing reviews. The system implemented shows that it is possible to recommend some goods that meet each users's needs

  • Purpose - This research is to empirically explore the differences in apparel consumption among male and female teenagers and college students in Korea and China. By conducting a survey to understand customers' needs and behaviors, fashion businesses will be able to improve their customer satisfaction and avoid redundancy, inventory, and the waste of resources, effort and money. Design/methodology - The research design considers the consumption patterns of male and female high school and college students in Korea and China. To analyze the data, the study employs decision trees, a type of machine learning algorithm. A decision tree model was developed to examine the relationship between the explanatory and response variables, which can be either quantitative or qualitative in nature. Findings - The main findings of this study indicate that there are differences in shopping behavior among different customer segments. The results show that men have a simpler shopping behavior compared to women. Additionally, cultural factors and the difference in fashion needs between students and non-students have a significant impact on the shopping choices of Chinese and Korean individuals. Originality/value - Existing studies often assume that the shopping behavior of high school and university students is similar and that there are no significant differences in clothing purchases between men and women across countries. The results provide valuable insights into the unique shopping behavior of different customer segments, and can inform fashion businesses in their efforts to meet the needs of their customers.

The date were obtained from 461 female university students career women and housewives using questionnaire. Consumers were classified into low and high sensation seeking tendency groups. These two groups showed partially significant difference in the needs of clothing purchase. Consumers with higher sensation seeking tendency had higher tendency of impulse buying. And they were likely to show the pleasure dimension of needs of clothing purchase and the pleasure seeking and the time seeking factors of shopping behavior Also they had higher purchase frequency of clothing than those who had lower sensation seeking tendency. Consumers with lower sensation seeking tendency placed more importance on the utilitarian dimension of the needs of clothing purchase and the price and quality of products in shopping.

  • The primary objective of this study was to employ Darden's store patronage model in order to investigate the role that shopping orientation and store attributes play in store patronage. The study sample consisted of 340 female university students residing in Seoul. The data was analyzed by using path analysis and factor analysis. The recreational shopping orientation played a greater role in influencing the importance of store attributes than did the convenience shopping orientation. Recreational shoppers want a variety of brands and convenience shoppers can be attracted by a convenient location and availability of parking. Six important store attributes(variety of products and price level, proximity, variety of trendy brands, store decor, sales promotion, sales personnel) have a differential influence on store patronage. Shopping orientation was a direct predictor of patronage behavior and mediated the relationship between shopping orientation and store attribute importance. The finding indicated that both the recreational shopping orientation and convenience shopping orientation can be used effectively to position store patronage in such a way as to provide a strong means for shoppers to satisfy their needs. The findings of this study demonstrated that South Korean female shoppers with different shopping orientation have different store attribute preference and store patronage. The results provide a basis for building a successful strategy to attract shoppers and generate sales. The study focused on a specific product category, i.e., women's apparel. To meet the needs of female apparel shoppers, further research is needed to learn more about the distinctive characteristics of Korean consumers that could be applied to a variety of jobs, ages and living areas.
