장소 특정적 다큐멘터리의 촬영 방식 연구 - 다큐멘터리 <서울역>, <옥포 조선소>를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Documentary Filming Method for Specific Places - Focus on the documentary and -)

  • 특정한 장소를 중요한 대상으로 하는 다큐멘터리 <서울역>과 <옥포 조선소>를 중심으로 촬영가의 입장에서 다큐멘터리 촬영의 방법론에 대한 내용을 기술하였다. '구 서울역사'와 '대우조선해양'이라는 장소는 그 자체로 근대적 가치가 반영된 기념비적 공간이며 한국인들의 집단 기억과 무의식, 그 장소에 대한 특유의 감정이 공유되는 곳이다. '구 서울역사'는 장소 정체성이 '문화역 서울 284'라는 새로운 공간으로 변화하였고, '대우조선해양'은 지금도 활발히 기능하는 대규모 산업단지로서 산업구조의 변동에 따라 변화를 모색하는 유기체 같은 곳이다. <서울역>과 <옥포 조선소>는 장소 정체성과 관련된 공간의 이미지들과 그곳과 관련된 사람들의 모습을 관찰하고 기록한다. 특정한 장소의 공간을 응시하고 그 곳에 속한 사람들의 노동과 휴식 같은 실재적인 경험의 순간들을 지속적인 기록과 반복적 배치의 구성을 통해 보여준다. 이를 통해 기록하지 않으면 휘발되는 장소 정체성과 관련된 무형의 서사를 단면을 엿보게 하고 영화를 통해 특정한 장소 경험을 가능하게 한다. 본 연구는 이런 장소 특정적인 다큐멘터리의 촬영방식에 대한 고민과 의미를 두 편의 작품을 중심으로 고찰한다. 각각의 장소 특징에 맞는 촬영 방식과 진행방향에 대한 것을 제작론에 입각하여 기술하였다.

Z시험에 의한 선회권의 작도법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Method of Turning Circle Drawing by Z-test)

  • A navigator on bridge needs to know every kinds of motion characteristics of his vessel at sea. Generally when a vessel is completely built, the shipyard makes turning circle diagrams from the results of turing circle tests made during the sea trials for the reference of the vessel's owner. But referring only the data of a turning circle diagram, an officer on bridge can not figure out his vessel's maneuvering characteristics sufficiently, So nowadays the shipyard often adds Z test to turning circle test for more detail references. In this paper the author made Z and turning circle tests at the rudder angles of 15 and and 35 degress separately and in each of the case made a turrning circle diagram from the results of the turning circle test and the esults numerically calculated from mathematical formula made on the base of the maneuvering indices got from the Z test and compared them each other for the purpose of finding the correlations between them. Followings are concluded from the results. An actual turning circle diagram and a calculated one from the results of the Z test at same rudder angle coincides each other well when the center of the calculated circle is transferred by 1.7B toward the direction of the initial turning perpendicularly to the original course and 0.5L toward the direction in parallel with original course in case of the rudder angle of 35 degrees and 1.2B and 0.3L toward each of the above mentioned directions in case of rudder angle of 15 degrees.

  • Information technologies centered on the internet in the area of shipbuilding and marine engineering further incur the needs to increase the flexibility of the organization, the dispersion of work process, and the use of out sourcing, as well as the globalization of related market. In near future, electronic commerce and concurrent engineering based on CALS/EC and the Internet will be an integral part of the environment and upon these changes, ship design and construction will become a computer supported cooperative work of many dispersed and specialized groups. As the means of active response to these environmental changes, many new concepts such as digital shipbuilding, virtual shipyard, and simulation based design are appearing. In this paper, the concept and current status of digital manufacturing in general manufacturing industry will be reviewed. Then, related technologies, area of application and methods of digital manufacturing in shipbuilding and marine industries are presented. In addition, virtual assembly simulation system for shipbuilding(VASSS), a tool for crane operability and block erection simulation in virtual dock based on 3D product model, will be introduced.

동적 블록수송환경을 위한 네트워크 흐름모형 기반의 트랜스포터 일정계획 (Transporter Scheduling Based on a Network Flow Model for Dynamic Block Transportation Environment)

  • This paper considers a transporter scheduling problem under dynamic block transportation environment in shipbuilding. In dynamic situations, there exist the addition, cancellation or change of block transportation requirements, sudden breakdowns and maintenance of transporters. The transportation of the blocks in the shipyard has some distinct characteristics. Some blocks are available to be picked up at a specific time during the planning horizon while some other blocks need to be delivered before a specific time. These requirements cause two penalty times: 1) delay times incurred when a block is picked up after a required start time, and 2) tardy times incurred when a block shipment is completed after the required delivery time. The blocks are located at different areas in the shipyard and transported by transporters. The objective of this paper is to propose a heuristic algorithm based on a network flow model which minimize the weighted sum of empty transporter travel times, delay times, and tardy times. Also, a rolling-horizon scheduling method is proposed for dynamic block transportation environment. The performance of the proposed heuristic algorithms are evaluated through a simulation experiment.

모 조선업 작업장의 공기중 용접흄농도에 관한 조사 (A Study on the Concentration of Welding Fume in a Shipbuilding Factory)

  • The present investigation studied the welding fumes produced during the arc welding process at a shipyard. The air at the shipyard was sampled (between February and May, 1990) to determine the total welding fume concentration, its heavy metal content and the concentrations of different sized particles of the welding fumes. The results were as follows : 1. Forty-four out of 50 samples showed welding fume concentrations which exceeding the threshold limit value of $5mg/m^3$. The geometric mean of welding fume concentration was $9.73mg/m^3$ ($2.14-24.86mg/m^3$), and the nighest level was found at the dock assembly shop ($12.0mg/m^3$). 2. The welding fume concentration measured with personal air sampler was 4.2 times greater than that measured with area sampler. 3. Of the heavy metals analyzed, Fe was found to be the most concentrated at $1.29mg/m^3$ ; it constitued 13.3% of the total welding fume concentration. 4. Of the different sized particles that make up the welding fumes, there was a tendency for the smaller particles to be more concentrated. Particles that measured $7{\mu}$ or less in diameter constituted 85.8% of the total welding fume concentration.

근골격계질환 위험요인에 대한 조선업 근로자 자가평가와 전문가 관찰 방법 비교 (Comparison of Shipyard Worker Self-reported and Expert-observed Method using the Same Checklist for Ergonomic Risk Factors)

  • This study aims to compare a self-reported and expert-observed method on ergonomic risk factors of Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs). The checklist was developed based on the results of previous studies, and the symptoms of WMSDs were obtained using a self-reported questionnaire from 1,029 shipyard workers. The risk factors were assessed through the self-report by workers and video analysis by ergonomists. The symptom prevalence at the low back (59.2%), shoulders (50.8 %), and knees (49.7%) were relatively higher than those at other body parts. Odds ratios (ORs) by body parts were 2.48 to 2.90 for the risk job, and the ORs were significantly different from those of the low risk job. The risk factor scores by body parts between workers and ergonomist were very high correlation(r=0.82 to 0.92). The rates of self-report from risk job were 54.0% (elbow and arm) to 72.1 % (low back), but sometimes overestimated(105.7 to 122.6%) than those by ergonomists. The checklist, developed in this study, will be an efficient tool for the evaluation of risk jobs using self-report by workers.

모바일 기반 스마트 조선소 생산 공정관리 지원 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Production Process Management Support System for Smart Shipyard Based on Mobile)

  • The shipbuilding industry is facing the various problems of less demand and oversupply owing to the global economic crisis and the increase in shipbuilding countries. Shipyards of the industry are making effort to strengthen their ability to handle the crisis via a smartwork technology for flexible working environment. In this study, we developed a smartwork system that manages the information in shipbuilding process with mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs. To successfully apply the developed smartwork system to shipyards, we analyzed several best practices and management tasks of the shipbuilding processes. The developed system was designed by CBD approach that is a branch of service-oriented software engineering for reusability and flexibility on the system. As it is designed considering the flexible working environment, it supports to increase their productivity by reducing the time required to carry out tasks and by increasing the mobility required to manage work performance in field of shipyards.
