Online Monitoring of Ship Block Construction Equipment Based on the Internet of Things and Public Cloud: Take the Intelligent Tire Frame as an Example

  • In view of the problems of insufficient data collection and processing capability of multi-source heterogeneous equipment, and low visibility of equipment status at the ship block construction site. A data collection method for ship block construction equipment based on wireless sensor network (WSN) technology and a data processing method based on edge computing were proposed. Based on the Browser/Server (B/S) architecture and the OneNET platform, an online monitoring system for ship block construction equipment was designed and developed, which realized the visual online monitoring and management of the ship block construction equipment status. Not only that, the feasibility and reliability of the monitoring system were verified by using the intelligent tire frame system as the application object. The research of this project can lay the foundation for the ship block construction equipment management and the ship block intelligent construction, and ultimately improve the quality and efficiency of ship block construction.

  • The early construction of the internet based ship basic planning supporting system based on the concurrent engineering and the internet technology is essential as a means for the improvement of technology and design productivity our ship building industry is facing currently. Further more, technological base construction for the construction for the construction of the cooperation system on the level of ship building industry is necessary for the technological base security to maintain and develop ship building industry continuosly in the 21st century of the information industry environment and for the technological improvement of the middle and small shipyard falling behind relatively and finally for the breaking through our ship building industry environment in which inter-enterprise competition is deeping. In this study, we designed the frame-system of the ship design supporting system and presented the development scenario based on core element technology.

항만건설작업선의 선박안전법 제10조제3항(임시변경) 적용범위에 관한 연구 (Application Range of "Temporary Alteration" in the Article 10 of Ship Safety Act)

  • 「선박안전법」은 선박의 감항성(堪航性, Seaworthiness) 유지 및 안전운항에 필요한 사항을 규정하고 있으며, 이와 관련해서 이 법 제10조에서는 선박소유자가 선박검사를 받은 후 해당 선박의 선박검사증서에 적혀 있는 내용을 일시적으로 변경하고자 하는 경우에 임시검사를 받도록 하고 있다. 이와 같은 조치는 이 법 제15조에 따른 선박검사 후 선박의 상태유지에 따른 것으로 여기에는 「항만법」 제39조제1항에 따른 "항만건설작업선"을 포함하고 있다. 그러나 항만건설작업선은 본래 부선(艀船)과 동일한 운용체계를 보이고 있음에도 불구하고 「선박안전법」을 적용받지 아니하고 「건설기계관리법」에 따른 등록 및 검사·점검을 받아오다 2012년 12월 14일 울산항만 내에서 작업 중 발생한 "석정36호" 침몰사고를 발단으로 2016년 「항만법」이 개정되면서 「선박안전법」에 추가해서 적용받게 된 점 등을 고려할 때 항만건설작업선을 「선박안전법」에서 정하고 있는 모든 규정을 따르도록 적용하는 것은 현실적 한계가 있다 할 것이다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 항만건설작업선의 개념, 등록, 작업구역, 검사규정, 임시변경 적용사례 등을 통한 작업특성 및 실제 항만건설작업선의 「선박안전법」 적용범위와 관련해서 논란이 되고 있는 사항 등에 대해 살펴보고, 또한 「항만법」의 개정에 따라 항만건설작업선을 「선박안전법」의 검사대상으로 편입하게 된 입법취지 등을 통해 「선박안전법」 제10조에서 규정하고 있는 임시검사 중 "임시변경"에 관한 사항을 적용하는데 있어서의 그 적정범위를 제시하고자 한다.

알루미늄 합금제 어선건조를 위한 선체구조기준 설정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Standard of Ship Hull Construction for Aluminium Alloys Fishing Boats)

  • The ship hull construction materials of fishing boat has changed in order that wooden, steel, and fiber glass reinforced plastic(FRP). The fishing boat made from FRP has increased every year because that materials has proved excellent of the characteries for fishing boats construction members. Recently, FRP tend towards evasion for the pollution of air enviroment. Therefore. the materials of fishing boat construction must be exchanged by another one. Aluminium alloys must be recommended for fishing boats construction mateials because that is light weight and corrosion resisting in the sea water. Regulation of the standard of ship hull construction for aluminium alloys fishing boats did not enact laws in the interior now. Therefore, this regulation was studied by the following items. that is Rudder, Bottom construction, Side hull plate construction, Deck plate construction, piller. Water tight bulkhead, Deep tank, Fish tank, Stern construction, Superstructure, Deck house construction, Hatch, Engine room opening, Hatch opening, Bulwark, Welding and Rivet etc. A study on the regulation will be contributed to enact laws for fishing boat construction of aluminium alloys.

  • This technical note is intended to introduce a state-of-the-art offshore construction vessel. This unique vessel is for multi-purpose Field Development Ship (FDS) for deepwater to ultra-deepwater. The FDS is a construction vessel with dynamic positioning (DP) system intended to develop offshore oil and gas field in water depth up to 3000 m. The design criteria and main capacities of the vessel are discussed.

A Study on Construction of Collision Reproducing Simulator and Application to Analysis of Marine Casualty

  • Ships' collision accident has often occurred in congested waterways or in harbour areas. To examine the cause of collision accident may be necessary to prevention against another similar one. We discuss the construction of ship-manoeuvring-simulator system used for reproducing ships' collision phenomenon The system consists of one simulator bridge for own ship and two control consoles for own ship and target ship. Own ship and target ship are linked each other, and are simultaneously manoeuvred in simulator bridge or at control console respectively. And a simulator experiment for reproducing ships' collision phenomenon and for examining the cause of accident is carried out. Through the present case study, we find out that the constructed simulator system is very useful for reproducing ships' collision phenomenon and for examining the cause of accident.

  • In automotive industries, reusability of product information is increasing through database construction of previous product data. The product data is stored by data quality management in product information systems. For naval ships, have the functional similarity by the ships of the same classification and class, that are built by series. Information of hull structures as well as embarked equipments are similar. So it would be effective to use database systems that are considered product information quality of previous ships in design and production processes. In this paper we discuss product information quality in database construction of naval ship product models. For this, we propose a basic concept and reference model for data quality verification. Based on this concept, A verification guideline is defined and it is applied for the case study of the digital naval ship which was built to the naval ship product model.

  • This study proposes a construction plan for the Korea Navy's next-generation TSCE(Total Ship Computing Environment) based destroyers to address rapidly evolving maritime threats and decreasing military manpower. It focuses on system integrated ship construction based on TSCE for quick response time with fewer operators, improving the efficiency of systems and Equipments installed in the ship. The methodology includes analyzing TSCE-based system integration theories and levels. also analyze system integration in U.S. Navy's Zumwalt destroyers and Littoral Combat Ships, conducting expert surveys to build consensus on system integration methods, proposing operational efficiency improvements through TSCE-based system integration. Additionally, we propose an architecture of TSCE with real time OA(Open Architecture) from both functional and physical perspectives, verified through Python simulations. The study suggests optimal crew sizes for next-generation destroyers through comparative analysis of TSCE based integration types. It emphasizes the importance of system integration in naval ship construction, presenting specific measures to enhance operational efficiency and optimize crew operations. The findings are expected to contribute significantly to enhance the future naval capabilities of the Korea Navy.

선체구조의 용접이음부의 피로강도 해석법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the fatigue strength analysis of the welded joints in ship hull construction)

  • In this report, a method to predict the fatigue strength in welded structure member of ship construction is studied considering the effects of statistical characteristics of mild steels and weld toe shapes on the fatigue crack initiation life. The fatigue test under pulsating bending load is carried out with the model specimens of the web frame in double bottom of ship hull. The propriety of the fatigue life curve with probability of failure in the transverse strength members of ship hull construction is confirmed by the comparison with the results of fatigue test on the model of the various transverse strength members.
