  • AIS(Automatic Identification System) provides navigational information including identification, position, a ship's course and status to ground and other vessels. To obtain AIS Marine Equipment Approval Service, various requirements are required and meet the requirements International Standards. However, most of the requirements are to identify essential functions, response time, hardware requirements, and communication protocols of AIS. The requirements for the quality of SW are not sufficient or detailed, and the weight is relatively low. As role of SW grows and types become more diverse, AIS SW quality inspection is essential. In this paper, We apply eight-quality characteristics of ISO/IEC 25023 standard to improve SW coverage quality of AIS. Suggest additional AIS SW requirements based on the eight quality characteristics of ISO/IEC 25023 standard.

  • Stainless steel has been stably used closed by passivity oxidation films(Cr₂O₃) is made by neutral atmospheric environment. However, passivity oxidaton films of the surface of stainless steel occasionally comes to be destroyed in seawater which is influenced by an environment having galogen ion like Cl‾, then, localization corrosion comes to occur Stainless steel 304 for shaft system material of the small-size FRP fishing boat on seawater environments made an experiment on simulation of sacrifical anode(Al, Zn). Through these experiment and study, following results have been obtained ; According to the field inspection and corrosion simulation, the corrosion on the 2nd class stainless steel shaft(STS304) in FRP fishing boat has been verified to occur by crevice corrosion and galvanic corrosion etc., According to the comparison and analysis of Stainless steel 304 was severely corroded, but, protected shaft specimen was not totallay corroded. This result is assumed to be made by the facts that anodic reaction, Fe → fe²++ 2e¯, has been restricted by the cathodic protection current of sacrificial anode material.

  • We badly need the plans to promote practical and systematic utilization of safety management system as the safety management in coasters is not yet sufficient although the government and shipping companies are making efforts to protect human life and environment in ocean. This thesis executed questionnaire survey on related organizations and shipping companies followed by proof analysis and suggest plans to make it useful safety management system suitable to coastal marine transport of the country through grasping and improving the points of problems in current safety management on coastwise vessels.

  • In the circumstance that high oil price state is continued over the world, the investment in crude oil development by oil major is a trend of increasing. Recently the number of delivered drill-ship for 5 years has been sharply increased all over the world and about twice than that of past 30 years. As addition to the increase of the drill-ship demand, the operation of drill-ships which is delivered recently is about 3,000 meters, ultra deep sea, on average and the work area is expending. Accordingly the drilling system including the size and length of pipe for drilling has been bigger and bigger and the power supply equipment for operation system also has large capacity. Unlike merchant vessel, high power and high voltage of diesel generators are required for drill-ship for which the demand for V-type 320 bore of diesel generator has increased. It is on the raised that the importance of lubrication oil cleaning for diesel generator on drill-ship which has longer time for construction, and also long term low load operation is unavoidable during commissioning of equipments. Recently it was reported that engine crankpin was damaged due to the hard contact caused by the abnormal wear down(Cam wear) on crankpin and bearing. The same pattern of wear down was found through the inspection on series vessels and the other vessel under commissioning. The purpose of this paper is to analyze of the wear mechanism based on the observation and theories and objective research from actual cases and to prepare the counter measures to avoid foreseeable damage when the lubricating oil is not properly cleaned.

  • As the Port State Control Inspection recognized that almost marine casualties are caused by human faults rather than vessel's defaults, it has put more emphasis on the qualification of ships' crew and the education required. Accordingly, for shipping companies it is an urgent task to operate effective crew education system that can meet the standards of international agreements and domestic laws. Therefore, this study aims at deriving the attitude of crews of 'S' shipping company on the education and some implication for the effective crew education systems. For this questionnaire survey has been carried out and the data analysed by the respondent groups.

  • After studying the composition about the torsional shafting of main engine for fishing vessel with Power Take Off (PTO) System, the authors made a computer program using the transfer stiffness coefficient method (TSCM) for analyzing torsional vibration about the shafting with PTO system and nonlinear elastic coupling. The torsional shafting of main engine was separated by 3 types according to the connecting. The torsional shafting of main engine was separated by 3 types according to the connecting condition of main engine with propeller or the PTO system or both of them. In this paper, the change of natural frequencies and natural modes according to connecting condition of torsional shafting and nonlinear elastic coupling were analyzed. The accuracy of the TSCM was confirmed by comparing with the computational results of the Finite Element Method.

  • Regarding some of tire important works in tire shipyard, like tire production process, quality control, and material handling, there are many elements that disturb tire work-flaw. For example, there are mistakes in manufacturing, delay of production, and poor quality. These kinds of disturbances are from tire delay of communication time between tire production field and tire management. Therefore, it would be possible to strengthen tire competitiveness of shipbuilding industries by applying tire information technology based on Wireless Local Area Network (Wireless LAN), in order to establish tire multi-possession of real time production information in limited large shipbuilding yard. In this study, tire construction concept of tire information system, based on Wireless LAN, is proposed to build communication infrastructures in shipyards. The various information regarding shipbuilding inspection, process management, and material flaw are analyzed and constructed to databases in tire middle ware system, as tire platform for using Personal Display Agent (PDA). At last, tire middle ware system, which delivers tire information, is developed by tire C$\sharp$ and Microsoft.net; also, tire PDA application system is structured in WinCE O/S, and is tested and evaluated under tire server linked condition.

  • Delay in the process of Information Extraction, IE, is largely due to inability to correctly recognize the user's information requirement of particular search factors. Especially if the wrapper rules are used in a search engine, the search generally fails to classify internet documents properly and efficiently since the application of the same wrapper rules lacks extensibility throughout various types of existing internet document. In case of buying or selling a ship, if the price range, type. place of delivery, inspection site and other information relevant to the sales would be available through the internet for proper retrieval the sales could more readily succeed by using Ontology relating to sales or purchase information and by selectively searching for the desired information through the content based retrieval system. This system proposes to improve various wrapper systems existing throughout different internet sites and to eliminate unnecessary information tagged on the existing internet documents in order to create a more advanced information retrieval system.

  • The existing fisheries managers ignored the fishery environment changes, have built competitively vessels of efficiency superiority with related corporations, and have captured indisciminately fisheries resourecs. The economical engine horsepower selection model for fishing vessels shorter than 24m is developed. Also, the economical engine horsepower selection model system is verified by the existing vessels, and the optimum vessel scale and engine horsepower classified by the type of fishery and scale are proposed.

  • 우리 사회는 COVID-19로 인하여 비대면 사회로 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 특히, COVID-19에 대한 대응으로 인플레이션 부작용이 나타나고 있는데 공급망 붕괴가 원인으로 지목되고 있다. 물류를 안전하고 원활하게 하려면 선박검사에 비대면 기술이 요구되는데 AR과 VR 기술을 활용한 원격 선박검사 시스템이 필요할 것으로 전망된다. 이에 따라, 본연구는 산업과 연구의 실무에서 요구하는 기능에 대한 설문조사를 기반으로 분석하고 기술개발과 시스템 설계에 대한 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.
