  • This paper describes the application of CAD/CAM systems to the sales and order entry/engineering stages as well as the design of control systems. Large quantities of drawings are required, and the use of graphic CAD systems can result in considerable savings. Some applications of CAD to system engineering/system generation are described.

  • The plasma tube array display is expected to realize the wall size display with very high luminous efficacy. The cell design for high luminous efficacy was investigated. Also discharging in plasma tube was observed to investigate the structure for high luminous efficacy. As the result, high luminous efficacy of 5.4 lm/W was achieved.

  • In this paper, a location system with Biuetooth is proposed. By using this system we can look up the position of the Bluetooth terminal in a room. In addition, the range of retrieval is accurate because the communication range of the Bluetooth terminal is about l0m radius. The position of the terminal can be always grasped so that the system is available for the security service, the positional infomation service and tracking service.

  • Multihop wireless networks consist of mobile terminals with personal communication devices. Each terminal can receive a message from a terminal and send it to the other terminal. In this paper, we discuss edge coloring problems related to multihop wireless networks. We show some relations about the problems.

  • New graph coloring problems are discussed as models of a multihop network in this report. We consider a total scheduling problem, and prove that this problem is NP-hard. We propose new scheduling models of a multi-hop network for CDMA system, and show the complexity results of the scheduling problems.

  • In this paper, an adaptive beam tracing method with revised subdivision technique is proposed, in which the beam is generated by a set of three rays. According to reflection and/or refraction of the rays on the buildings and/or ground, additional rays are generated adaptively and the beam is subdivided efficiently and automatically. After generation of the set of beams, we transform the electromagnetic wave propagation data into volume data. Then one can visualize the data of propagation with reflection, refraction and interaction in full three dimensional space at any viewpoint by the so-called ray casting algorithm, which is one of the most useful methods in compute. graphics(CG).

  • Diamod nucleation by mw assisted CVD was examined various conditions namely, (1) diamond nucleation on variour substrate materials, such as Si, cubic BN, pyrolytic BN and AIN, (2) AST(Activated species transport) method which promote nucleation of diamond on single crystal and polycrystalline alumina substrate was developed. (3) Effect of bias enhancement of nucleation on single crystalline Si was examined, and finally (4) DST (Double step treatment) method was developed to enhance diamond nucleation on Ni. In this method, we separated carbon diffusing process into Ni, carbon precipitating process from the inside of Ni and diamond precipitation process.
