천원술(天元術)과 기수법(記數法) (TianYuanShu and Numeral Systems in Eastern Asia)

  • 중국의 명수법은 기록은 구어체를 사용하고, 계산은 산대를 사용하는 이중 구조를 가지고 있었다. 또 산서는 실생활의 문제만 다루는 과정에서 수학적 구조를 나타내는 방법을 택하여 계산 과정을 제외하면 이들에서 취급한 수는 모두 명수(名數)들이어서 순수한 수론의 발전을 이룰 수 없었다. 송대에 0의 도입과 함께, 천원술의 표현에서 나타나는 계수를 산대로 표시하는 방법을 통하여, 산대가 계산 도구와 함께 추상수의 기수법(記數法)이 되는 과정을 밝힌다. 수량의 단위를 사용한 소수의 표현도 이 과정에서 산대 표현으로 대치되었다. 그러나 명대에 산대 계산이 주산으로 대치되고 천원술이 잊히게 되어 추상수의 개념도 함께 잊히게 되었다. 청대의 산학자 심사계(沈士桂)가 저서 간첩이명산법(簡捷易明算法)에서 분수의 소수표시와 계산을 하는 과정에서 순환소수를 인지하고 이들의 계산법을 확립한 것도 보인다.

An Analytical Solution for Voltage Stability Studies Incorporating Wind Power

  • Voltage stability is one of the most critical security issues which has not yet been well resolved to date. In this paper, an analytical method called PQ plane analysis with consideration of the reactive power capability of wind turbine generator and the wake effect of wind farm is proposed for voltage stability study. Two voltage stability indices based on the proposed PQ plane analysis method incorporating the uncertainties of load-increasing direction and wind generation are designed and implemented. Cases studies are conducted to investigate the impacts of wind power incorporation with different control modes. Simulation results demonstrate that the constant voltage control based on reactive power capability significantly enhances voltage stability in comparison of the conventional constant power factor control. Some meaningful conclusions are obtained.

"영추(靈樞).경맥(經脈)"의 구성에 관한 연구 (A study on organization of ‘Ling Shu.Jing Mai’)

  • By comparing ‘Jing Mai(${\ulcorner}$經脈${\lrcorner}$)’ and ‘Jin Fu(${\ulcorner}$禁服${\lrcorner}$)’, we are able to see that ‘Jing Mai’ has adopted many of its aspects from ‘Jin Fu’, which also enables us to conclude that ‘Jing Mai’ was made after 'Jin Fu', with the 'Ren Ying Cun Kou Mai Fa(人迎寸口脈法)‘ being considered important. 'Jing Mai' was made relatively late, during the last days of 'Xi Han(西漢)' or early days of 'Dong Han(東漢)'. Also 'Jing Mai' was written after 'Ying Qi(${\ulcorner}$營氣${\lrcorner}$)’. ‘12 Jing Mai’ in ‘Jing Mai’ is based mainly on 'Yin Yang Shi Yi Mai Jiu Jing(${\ulcorner}$陰陽十一脈灸經${\lrcorner}$)‘ and has also referred to other meridian theories, modifying it again by theories of 'Jin Fu' and 'Ying Qi', forming the 'Jing Mai Lian Huan(經脈連環)' part. The major change in '12 Jing Mai' is that '6 Yang Jing(6陽經)' enters the abdominal and thoracic cavity, directly relating to 'Liu Fu(六腑)'. 'Ben Jing(本經)'s connection to 'Ben Zang' is referred to as 'Shu(屬)' and connection to 'Ben Zang(本臟)' is referred to as 'Lou(絡)', clarifying 'Biao Li Guan Xi(表裏關系)' inside and outslde and 'Zang Fu Xiang He(臟腑相合)' congruency. Looking at the pathological condition view of ‘Jing Mai’, the writer of 'Jing Mai Pian' has renewed it and has erased repeated symptoms of 'Suo Seng Bing(所生病)' that appears in 'Shi Dong Bing(是動病)'. If the wrong adoption of theories of previous generations are corrected and parts which do not comply with the text's original meaning and parts that posterities added are deleted, the ancient acupuncture theory preserved in this book is still a precious treasure.

  • 십이경근(十二經筋)의 침구학적(鍼灸學的) 응용(應用)을 위하여 경사(經篩)의 형성과정(形成過程)과 그 본래의 의미에 대한 이해가 필요 할 것으로 사료되어 <<경근(經筋)>>에 기재된 십이경근(十二經筋)에 대한 분석(分析)을 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. <<내경(內經)>>에 수록된 "근"(筋)의 의미는 근육(筋肉), 건,(腱) 표재정맥(表在靜脈), 신경(神經) 등의 개염(槪念)을 포괄하고 있으며, <<경근(經筋)>>에서는 근육(筋肉)과 건을(腱) 의미를 내포하고 있다. 2. 경근(經筋)의 순행노선(循行路線)은 사지말단(四肢末端)에서 두신(頭身)으로 향하는 향심주(向心注) 노선(路線)을 보이고 있으며, 경근(經筋)의 병후(病候)는 대부분 순행부위에 따른 전근(轉筋)이나 동통(疼痛)으로 이러한 병후(病候)는 <<족비(足臂)>>의 경맥병후(經脈病候)의 특징과 같은 것으로 "소생병(所生病)"의미를 내포하고 있다. 3. 십이경근(十二經筋)은 해부학적(解剖學的) 관찰에 의해 형성된 것이 아니라 십이경맥(十二經脈)의 순행노선(循行路線)을 참조로 전신의 근육(筋肉)을 십이구역(十二區域)으로 분류(分類)하여 형성된 것으로 "근"(筋)을 통하여 인체(人體)를 상하로 연계시키는 규율에 대해 또 다른 가설을 제시한 것으로 사료된다.

  • Zhu Dan Xi's name is ZhenHeng(震亨) and was also called by the title of YanXiu(彦修). Early in his life, he started to study JuZiYe(擧子業), and went on to study DaoDeXingMingXue(道德性命學) under the teachings of XueQian(許謙), who as one of fourth generation disciple of ZhuZi(朱子) was teaching in BaHuaShan(八華山). His well-known literary works are ${\ulcorner}$JuFangFaHui(局方發揮)${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$GeZhiYuLun${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$ShangHanBianYi(傷寒辨疑)${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$BenCaoYanYiBuYi(本草衍義補遺)${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$WaiKeJingYaoXinLun(外科精要新論)${\lrcorner}$. Zhu Dan Xi learnt the studies of Liu(劉), Zhang(張), Li(李) from LouZhiTi(羅知悌) and adopted the advantages and abolished disadvantages from it. The southern district being low and damp, which also leads to a geographical condition with a lot of ShiReXiangHuo(濕熱相火) disease and with the social background of people exhausting their QingYu(情欲) and damaging QLXie(氣血), he came out with the theory of 'YangYouYuYinBuZu(陽有餘陰不足)', 'XiangHuo(相火)' and became a well renowned expert in diagnosis and treatment of QiXieTanYuHuo(氣血痰鬱火). As a result, the writer has performed a research based on Liu's works and related theories, GuWuZhiZhi theory, the understanding of TaiJiZhiLi(太極之理), the inner meaning of YinYang and YouYuBuZu(redundancy-and-deficit), YinYangDongJingGuan, physiology and pathology, the medical reason of lust damaging QingYuYangYin and YangSheng(養生)(preservation of health), which are the main medical theory of ZhuDanXi, comments of later generations and is reporting the outcome.

Enhanced Electrochemical Properties of Surface Modified LiMn2O4 by Li-Fe Composites for Rechargeable Lithium Ion Batteries

  • The surface modified $LiMn_2O_4$ materials with Li-Fe composites were prepared by a sol-gel method to improve the electrochemical performance of $LiMn_2O_4$ and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM)-EDS. XRD results indicate that all the samples (modified and pristine samples) have cubic spinel structures, and XRD, XPS, and TEM-EDS data reveal the formation of $Li(Li_xFe_xMn_{2-2x})O_4$ solid solution on the surface of particles. For the electrochemical properties, the modified material demonstrated dramatically enhanced reversibility and stability even at elevated temperature. These improvements are attributed to the formation of the solid solution, and thus-formed solid solution phase on the surface of $LiMn_2O_4$ particle reduces the dissolution of Mn ion and suppresses the Jahn-Teller effect.

  • Objective : The purpose of this paper is to report the improvement of patient with panic disorder treated by herb medication based on Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods :, The patient with panic disorder was diagnosed according to 'Disease Pattern Identification Diagnostic System based on Shanghanlun Provisions'. The changing symptom of panic disorder was estimated by BAI(Beck Anxiety Inventory). Results : The patient was diagnosed with yin-yang-yi-cha-hou-lao-fu bing, number 397 provision, and took Jukyeopseokgo-tang herb medication about 113 days. The BAI score changed 37 to 12. Conclusions : The therapeutic intervention and herb medication showed a therapeutical effect on the patient. The anxiety and helplessness of the patient was improved. This patient's panic disorder was associated with poor sleep patterns and sensitivity to minor things and controled by Jukyeopseokgo-tang. The relationships between poor sleep patterns and 陰陽易差後勞復病, shortness of breath when sensitive to minor things and 少氣 need further study.

Mutations of TYR and MITF Genes are Associated with Plumage Colour Phenotypes in Geese

  • The polymorphism of microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) and tyrosinase (TYR) genes have been proposed to play a vital role in coat colour genesis in mammals, but their role remains ambiguous in geese at best. Here, we cloned and sequenced 1,397 bp coding region of MITF gene and a 588 bp fragment of TYR exon 1 for polymorphism analysis among 157 domestic geese showing three types of plumage colour. We detected a total of three SNPs (c.280T>C, c.345G>A, and c.369G>A) in TYR and six haplotypes (H1-H6). Among them, haplotypes H1, H2, H3, and H5 were significantly associated with white plumage trait of Zhedong White Geese. However, only diplotype H1H1 and H3H5 were significantly associated with white plumage trait of Zhedong White Geese (p<0.01). We only detected one SNP (c.1109C>T) for MITF gene and found that genotype CT and TT were significantly associated with white plumage trait of Zhedong White Geese. Briefly, our study suggested an association between polymorphisms of TYR and MITF genes and the plumage colour trait in domestic geese.

율곡의 이기지묘(理氣之妙)와 치중화(致中和) - 기질변화의 도덕교육적 함의를 중심으로 ­- (Yulgok's Li-Qi-Zhi-Miao and Zhi-Zhonghe - on the basis of Qi-Zhi change and It's Educational Implication)

  • 본 논문은 한국유학을 대표하는 인물 중 한 사람인 율곡(栗谷) 이이(李珥, 1537~1584)의 사상을 통해 현대 도덕교육에의 적실성 여부를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 율곡이 송대의 성리학을 계승하면서도 자신 만의 독창성을 발휘하여 이기(理氣)관계를 '이기지묘(理氣之妙)'로 정립하고, '기발이승일도설(氣發理乘一途說)'과 '인심도심설(人心道心說)'을 통해 심(心) 성(性) 정(情) 의(意)의 관계를 연속선상에서 요해하고 있다는 점에 주목하였다. 율곡은 한편으로는 인간의 심성에 대한 고찰을 통해 이상적 인간이 되는 길을 제시하였고, 다른 한 편으로는 변통의 묘리를 발휘하여 현실의 사회적 문제에 대한 해답을 제시하기도 하였다. 본고는 이러한 율곡사상의 특징은 형식적으로는 그가 중국 정주학의 전통을 계승하면서도 본질적으로는 "중용"과 "주역"의 시중(時中)에 초점을 맞추었기 때문이라고 본다. 즉 율곡은 때(時)의 적의성이라는 점에서 시중의 중용의 의미를 중시함과 더불어 '치중화(致中和)'를 실천론적 이상으로 설정하였던 것이다. 이 논문은 송대 성리학의 연장선상 위에 선 율곡이 어떠한 인식[앎]의 지평에서 현실성[때]을 담보해냈는지를 살펴보고 그의 심성정의일로설(心性情意一路說)과 기질변화의 교육적 태도를 통해 도덕교육방법론의 현대적 함의를 찾아보고자 한 것이다.
