반복 전단.인장 변형에 따른 데님 직물의 피로도에 관한 연구 (Fatigue Phenomenon of Mechanical Properties in Denim Fabrics for Slacks during Repeated Shear and Tensile Deformation)

  • This study was conducted to examine the fatigue phenomenon of mechanical properites in denim fabrics for slacks during repeated shear and tensile deformation by analysing the change in the basic dynamic properties of fabrics on the basic of experiments to obtain the basic data necessary to measure their fatigue. In addition, this study was carried out by allowing these denim fabrics at market to go through the repeated deformation under such different loads as 500 gf/cm2 and 1000 gf/cm2 by using a simulated fatigue tester, by calculating both dynamic properties and hand value (HV) of these fabrics with KES-F system and then by obtaining the THV through these calculated properties. The results are as follows: 1 The fatigue phenomenon of dynamic properties was remarkably shown by the repeated shear and tensile deformation, while the increase of hysterical plastic substances was also remarkable in these shearing and bending properties. 2. The elasticity values of tensile, bending and compression properties, such as, B and G were reduced: whereas RT and RC values increased. It was shown, then, that those fabrics lost their elasticity and became flexible and soft with the increase of fatigue. 3. The fatigue phenomenon of hand value also showed that those fabrics became soft in relation with the change of all dynamic properties, and that their performance was also change to flexible hand value. 4. TRhe degree of fatigue was also shown by the loads given to the repeated deformation. It was shown that the fatigue was higher for the tensile load of 1000 gf/cm3 than did the standard load of 500 gf/cm3 It is necessary, therefore, to consider the load in accordance with their usage when examining the fatigue phenomenon with respect to the dynamic properties of clothing materials. 5. The loads were nearly not influenced by the change in the general hand value tended to show a little of increase with the increase of fatigue, Based on those results, it seems that the fatigue phenomonon is related to the loads given to the repeated deformation.

Numerical modelling of a pile-supported embankment using variable inertia piles

  • The increasing lack of good quality soils allowing the development of roadway, motorway, or railway networks, as well as large scale industrial facilities, necessitates the use of reinforcement techniques. Their aim is the improvement of the global performance of compressible soils, both in terms of settlement reduction and increase of the load bearing capacity. Among the various available techniques, the improvement of soils by incorporating vertical stiff piles appears to be a particularly appropriate solution, since it is easy to implement and does not require any substitution of significant soft soil volumes. The technique consists in driving a group of regularly spaced piles through a soft soil layer down to an underlying competent substratum. The surface load being thus transferred to this substratum by means of those reinforcing piles, which illustrates the case of a piled embankment. The differential settlements at the base of the embankment between the soft soil and the stiff piles lead to an "arching effect" in the embankment due to shearing mechanisms. This effect, which can be accentuated by the use of large pile caps, allows partial load transfer onto the pile, as well as surface settlement reduction, thus ensuring that the surface structure works properly. A technique for producing rigid piles has been developed to achieve in a single operation a rigid circular pile associated with a cone shaped head reversed on the place of a rigid circular pile. This technique has been used with success in a pile-supported road near Bourgoin-Jallieu (France). In this article, a numerical study based on this real case is proposed to highlight the functioning mode of this new technique in the case of industrial slabs.

저하중용 후설치 세트앵커의 전단파괴거동에 관한 매개변수 연구 (A Parameter Study on the Shear Failure Behavior of Post-installed Set Anchor for Light Load)

  • 콘크리트용 후설치 세트앵커는 콘크리트가 경화된 후에 설치되는 앵커이며 시공 장비의 발달과 시공의 유연성 및 용이성으로 사용량이 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 전단하중을 받는 앵커는 강재 파괴, 콘크리트 파열파괴, 콘크리트 프라이아웃 파괴 등의 대표적인 파괴모드를 보인다. 본 연구에서는 매입깊이, 연단거리 및 콘크리트 강도를 변수로 한 세트앵커의 실험 및 유한요소 해석 결과를 통하여 콘크리트에 매입된 저하중용 후설치 세트앵커의 전단 파괴거동에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 매입깊이 변수의 실험 결과 매입깊이가 얕을수록 콘크리트 강도의 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 연단거리 변수의 실험 결과 동일한 파괴모드를 보이면서 콘크리트 강도의 영향이 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 강재 파괴가 발생한 실험 결과를 비교해 보았을 때 콘크리트 강도가 클수록 변위가 상대적으로 더 작게 나타났다.

극한(極限)모멘트 하중(荷重)을 받는 이방성(異方性) 구조체(構造體)의 해석(解析) (Analysis of Orthotropic Body under Ultimate Moment Load)

  • 본(本) 논문(論文)은 재료(材料)의 성질(性質)이 직교(直交)하는 방향(方向)으로 상이(相異)한 이방성(異方性) 구조체(構造體)에 모멘트 하중(荷重)이 경계(境界)에 작용(作用)할 경우의 수직(垂直) 및 전단응력(剪斷應力)을 나타내는 엄밀 해석(解析)을 제시(提示)하였다. 모멘트하중(荷重)은 물론 탄성하중(彈性荷重)은 물론 탄소성하중(彈塑性荷重)과 극한하중(極限荷重)에 이르기까지의 하중(荷重)의 변화(變化)에 따른 구조체(構造體) 내부(內部)의 응력(應力)들을 해석적(解析的)인 방법(方法)으로 해석(解析)하였다. 이 해법(解法)은 평형조건(平衡條件)과 적합조건(適合條件)을 동시에 만족하는 탄성론적(彈性論的)인 엄밀해법(解法)이다. 따라서 이러한 문제(問題)를 해석(解析)하기 위하여 Airy 응력함수(應力凾數)를 이용(利用)하였다. 본(本) 해법(解法)의 타당성(妥當性)을 증명(證明)하기 위하여 이방성(異方性)인 경우의 방정식(方程式)들의 이방성(異方性) 상수(常數)들을 등방성(等方性)인 경우 상수(常數)들로 대치(代置)할 경우에 등방성(等方性)인 경우의 방정식(方程式)들로 변환(變換)되지 않으면 안된다. 이를 검토하기 위하여 L'hospital 외 법칙(法則)을 이용(利用)하였다. 그 결과(結果) 이방성(異方性)인 경우의 모든 방정식(方程式)들은 등방성(等方性)인 경우 방정식(方程式)들로 정확히 변환(變換)되었고 이 식(式)들은 이미 연구된 자료들의 값들과 비교(比較)된 결과(結果) 동일한 값을 얻었다. 본(本) 해법(解法)의 방정식(方程式)들은 간단(簡單)한 형태(形態)로 구성(構成)되어있어 수치결과(數値結果)를 누구나 정확히 얻을 수 있는 장점이 있다. 응력(應力)의 값을 얻기 위한 재료(材料)의 성질(性質)이나 구조적(構造的) 성질(性質)에 따라 결정되는 이방성상수(異方性常數)를 3 단합판중첩합판과 강보강판(鋼補鋼板), 철근콘크리트판(板)을 예(例)를 들어 표(表)로 표시(表示)하였고 수치결과(數値結果)는 3 단합판(段合板)을 예(例)를 들어 나무결을 두가지 방향(方向)으로 강축(强軸)을 바꾸어 각각의 수직(垂直) 및 전단응력(剪斷應力)을 구(求)하여 도표(圖表)로 표시(表示)하였으며 그 결과 응력(應力)의 분포(分布)는 재료(材料)의 성질(性質)과 보강부재(補强部材)의 배치 내용에 따라 달라지는 강축(强軸)의 방향(方向)에 따라 현저하게 달라지는 현상을 볼 수 있다.

  • 도로교 프리캐스트 바닥판의 현장 조인트로써 특수한 구조의 클램프를 이용하여 새로운 형식의 조인트를 개발하였다. 이 클램프 조인트에 의한 방법은 클램프를 이용하여 주철근을 루프 조인트에 연결하는 방법이다. 현재까지 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 루프 조인트와 비교하여 시공성 경제성이 우수하고 클램프의 인터록킹에 의하여 휨모멘트 전단내력에 효과를 나타내었다. 본 논문은 휨 강성 및 전단내력의 실험을 통하여 조인트의 파괴 메커니즘과 다양한 정적 거동의 결과를 규명하고자 일련의 실험을 수행하였다. 이러한 실험 연구의 결과로부터 루프조인트와 동등한 성능을 갖고 있다는 결론을 얻었다.

탄성변형을 고려한 윤활 상태에서 거친 표면의 미끄럼 접촉온도 해석 (Temperature Rise Analysis of Sliding Contact Surfaces in Lubrication Considering Elastic Deformation)

  • The sliding contact interface of machine components such as bearings, gears frequently operates in lubrication at the inception of sliding failure under high loads, speed and slip. The surface temperature at the interface of bodies in a sliding contact is one of the most important factors influencing the behavior of machine components. Most surface failure in sliding contact region result from frictional heat generation. However, it is difficult to measure temperature rise experimentally. So the calculation of the surface temperature at a sliding contact interface has long been an interesting and important subject for tribologist. The surface temperature rise is related in contact pressure, sliding speed, material properties and lubrication thickness. Though roughness, load, ect all of the condition, are same, film thickness varies with velocity. In this study, surface temperature rise due to frictional heating in lubrication is calculated with various velocities. Surface film shearing and dry solid asperity contact are used to simulate the change of frictional heat in lubricated contact

Shear strength model for reinforced concrete corbels based on panel response

  • Reinforced concrete corbels are generally used to transfer loads within a structural system, such as buildings, bridges, and facilities in general. They commonly present low aspect ratio, requiring an accurate model for shear strength prediction in order to promote flexural behavior. The model described here, originally developed for walls, was adapted for corbels. The model is based on a reinforced concrete panel, described by constitutive laws for concrete and steel and applied in a fixed direction. Equilibrium in the orthogonal direction to the shearing force allows for the estimation of the shear stress versus strain response. The original model yielded conservative results with important scatter, thus various modifications were implemented in order to improve strength predictions: 1) recalibration of the strut (crack) direction, capturing the absence of transverse reinforcement and axial load in most corbels, 2) inclusion of main (boundary) reinforcement in the equilibrium equation, capturing its participation in the mechanism, and 3) decrease in aspect ratio by considering the width of the loading plate in the formulation. To analyze the behavior of the theoretical model, a database of 109 specimens available in the literature was collected. The model yielded an average model-to-test shear strength ratio of 0.98 and a coefficient of variation of 0.16, showing also that most test variables are well captured with the model, and providing better results than the original model. The model strength prediction is compared with other models in the literature, resulting in one of the most accurate estimates.

회전금형을 사용하는 AZ31 마그네슘 합금판재의 전기저항 표면마찰 스폿용접 (Electric Resistance Surface Friction Spot Welding Process of AZ31 Mg Alloy Sheets by Using Rotating Dies)

  • Magnesium material could be widely used in the automotive industry because of its high strength to weight ratio, but the electric resistance spot welding process of magnesium sheets is difficult because of its low electric resistance and high thermal conduction and thermal expansion. For this reason, an electric resistance surface friction spot welding process using rotating dies is suggested for the spot welding of magnesium metal sheets. This welding method can be characterized by three heating methods: (1) electric resistance heating on contacted surface, (2) surface friction heating by rotating dies, and (3) thermal conduction heating from heated steel electrodes, for the fusion of metal at the interfacial zone between the two magnesium sheets. This welding process also has variables to explore, such as welding currents, diameters of the steel electrode, and rotating dies. It was found that the welding strength could reach industrial requirements by applying a welding current of 11.0kA, with steel electrodes of 12mm diameter, with rotating dies of 4.4 mm diameter, under the condition of a revolution speed of 1200rpm of rotating dies, for the surface friction spot welding process of AZ31 magnesium alloy sheets of 1.4mm thickness.

CONTACT PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION OF RADIAL TIRE IN MOTION WITH CAMBER ANGLE

  • Theoretical and experimental study is conducted on the contact pressure distribution of a radial tire in motion under various camber angles. Tire construction is modelled by a spring bedded elastic ring, consisted of sidewall springs and a composite belt ring. The contact area is assumed to be a trapezoidal shape varying with camber angles and weighted load. The basic equation in a quasi-static form is derived for the deformation of a running belt with a constant velocity by the aid of Lagrange-Euler transformation. Galerkin's method and stepwise calculation are applied for solving the basic equation and the mechanical boundary condition along both sides of the contact belt part subjected to shearing forces transmitted from the sidewall spring. Experimental results on the contact pressure, measured by pressure sensors embedded in the surface of the drum tester, correspond well with the calculated ones for the test tire under various camber angles, running velocities and weighted loads. These results indicate that a buckling phenomenon of the contact belt in the widthwise direction occurs due to the effect of camber angle.

EGS 지열발전과 저류층 수리자극 기술 (EGS Power Generation and Hydraulic Stimulation)

  • 지열에너지는 기저부하를 제공하는 신재생에너지이나 현재까지 화산지대에만 대부분의 지열발전이 이루어져 왔다. 인공저류층 지열시스템 (Enhanced Geothermal System, EGS)는 비화산지대의 지열발전을 가능하게 할 개념으로 알려져 있으며 수리자극(hydraulic stimulation)이 핵심기술이다. 본 논문은 EGS지열발전의 개발 현황을 소개하고, 수압파쇄와 수리전단이 주 메커니즘인 수리자극의 핵심원리, 설계변수 및 수리자극에 수반되어 발생하는 미소진동의 원리 및 관측기술을 소개한다. 한국에서의 EGS 지열발전을 위하여 필요한 과제를 소개하여 향후 기술개발의 방향을 제시한다.
