Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) is a key factor in negative regulation of the insulin pathway, and is a promising target for the treatment of type-II diabetes, obesity and cancer. Herein, compound ($\mathbf{4}$) was first observed to have moderate inhibitory activity against PTP1B with an $IC_{50}$ value of $13.72{\pm}1.53{\mu}M$. To obtain more potent PTP1B inhibitors, we synthesized a series of chalcone derivatives using compound ($\mathbf{4}$) as the lead compound. Compound $\mathbf{4l}$ ($IC_{50}=3.12{\pm}0.18{\mu}M$) was 4.4-fold more potent than the lead compound $\mathbf{4}$ ($IC_{50}=13.72{\pm}1.53{\mu}M$), and more potent than the positive control, ursolic acid ($IC_{50}=3.40{\pm}0.21{\mu}M$). These results may help to provide suitable drug-like lead compounds for the design of inhibitors of PTP1B as well as other PTPs.

Shanghai has been reported as the highest performing countries(economies) in PISA 2009 and PISA 2012. In this reason, we reviewed literatures related to educational system of Shanghai focusing on the mathematics education. Additionally, we analysed the results of PISA 2009 of mathematics domain between Korea and Shanghai to compare some differences between two countries. As a result, we discovered the followings: 1) Comparing with Shanghai students, Korea students attained low performance in every sub-categories of mathematics abilities indicated in the PISA framework. 2) In PISA 2009 Framework, Korea students produced low achievement than Shanghai students in sub-categories of "reflection". 3) In PISA 2012 Framework. Korea students attained low performance than Shanghai students in sub-categories of "formulating". Consequently, it gave us insight into the idea that school mathematics in Korea should use authentic context to help students improve their competencies "reflection" and "formulating".

It is an objective of Shanghai urban development to quickly build Shanghai into one of the international centres of economy, finance and trade. To fulfil the objective, a rational urban general layout and a satisfactory traffic network are needed. As a metropolis with complete urban functions and specified geographical position, Shanghai must develop a perfect citytown system that best suits its composite urban distribution. In planning the central city, the principle of "open and multi-centred" and "optimization of land use" should be taken into consideration. To build a satisfactory urban traffic network, emphasis should be laid upon the construction of deefwater wharf, air-field and inforation centre. In addition, determination should be made to build a high-speed traffic means including high speed railroad and express highway so that a public traffic network is realised on and above ground, and underground. A solution of traffic preblem in Shanghai lies in good understanding of traffic policy and strenthening of strategic management combined with a rational layout of traffic circulation.

Experimental studies to investigate the behaviors of hydrogen in molten FLiNaK (LiF-NaF-KF) have been conducted at $500-700^{\circ}C$. On the basis of previous studies, the diffusivity and solubility of hydrogen in FLiNaK have been revised, and the expressions can be correlated to the following Arrhenius equations: $D_{H2}=1.62{\times}10^{-5}{\exp}(-48.20{\times}10^3/Rg{\cdot}T) m^2/s]$ and $S_{H2}=1.03{\times}10^{-4}{\exp}(-14.96{\times}10^3/Rg{\cdot}T) [mol-H_2/m^3/Pa]$, respectively. The behavior characteristics of deuterium in FLiNaK were studied and compared with the hydrogen behaviors in FLiNaK. The results showed the behaviors of deuterium were consistence with the behaviors of hydrogen in FLiNaK. The difference between hydrogen and deuterium has not been observed upon the experimental research of the behavior characteristics of hydrogen and deuterium in FLiNaK, which suggested the results obtained here might apply equally to the behavior characteristics of tritium in FLiNaK.

The emission of microwave sulfur lamp is mainly composed of visible light. This lamp producing little infrared radiation, has high light efficiency, long lifespan and less power consumption. In comparison with xenon lamp, growing under sulfur lamp apparently postponed jointing, increased the number of tillers, accelerated root growth of wheat. Relatively, xenon lamp evidently promoted heading and grain maturation. The development characteristics of wheat plant under sulfur lamp were more similar with that in natural condition.

A neutral polysaccharide, GP, was isolated from a fermentation broth of Ganoderma lucidum Acid hydrolysis and a paper chromatography analysis indicated that the polysacchride was composed of glucose, xylose, and mannose. The molecular weight was estimated to be $2.9{\times}10^4$. The oral administration of GP to mice showed that it can inhibit liver damage induced by GalN and $CCl_4$.

This paper put forward the controlled spin intensity method for the tangentially-fired furnaces to solve the problems existed in the counter-tangential operation. The numerical simulation was used in this paper to discuss some basic principles.
