초등학생 대상 성교육 효과 분석 연구 (Effects of Sexuality Education in One Elementary School Students)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to explore the effect of the sexuality education in elementary school in regard to students' knowledge, attitude, and role identity about sex. Methods: We classified students into experimental group and control group, and carries out the planned sexuality education to the experimental group. Study subjects were 200 students in one elementary school. Experimental group compromised of 50 boys and 50 girls, and control group so did. Self-administered questionnaire was used for preliminary investigation from 15th to 16th, October in 2009. The post investigation was carried out to the control group 5 weeks later, and to the experimental group for 5 weeks (total 10 hours, 2hours each a week) after the sexuality education from 23th of November to 25th of November, 2009. Results: Experimental group had significantly higher post-inspection scores of sex-related knowledge, attitude against sex, sex-related role identity (excluding leadership dominance, concession, cheerfulness gentleness and sympathy shyness) than pre-inspection scores. Conversely, control group had insignificantly higher post-inspection scores (excluding all scores of sex-related knowledge and scores of atttitude against sex including psychological development and pregnancy). Conclusions: Our study suggested that sexuality education in elementary school have an impact on forming knowledge, attitude, and role identity regarding the sex.

학령전기 자녀를 둔 부모 성지식, 성태도, 자녀 성교육에 대한 부모효능감의 융합적 비교 (Sexual Knowledge and Sexual Attitude and Parent Efficacy among Parents of Preschool Child)

  • 본 학령전기 자녀를 둔 부모의 성지식, 성태도, 부모효능감 정도를 비교 분석하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구 대상은 학령전기 아동을 자녀로 둔 부모 70쌍으로 선정하였다. 자료분석은 chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA를 이용하였다. 연구결과 자녀 성교육에 대한 책임(p=.043), 자녀 성교육의 경험(p=.043), 자녀와 성에 대한 의사소통정도(p=.019), 성과 관련된 정보제공(p=.024)에 있어 부모 간 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 부모 간 성지식(p=.018), 성태도(p=.006)가 유의미한 차이를 보였고 자녀 성교육에 대한 부모효능감(p=.006)은 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 올바른 자녀 성교육을 위해 요구되는 부모의 성지식, 성태도, 자녀 성교육에 대한 인식에 차이가 있다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 효과적인 자녀 성교육을 위해 부모 간 차이점과 특성을 고려한 차별화된 부모대상 성교육 프로그램이 개발되고 부모 모두에게 적용되어야 할 것이다.

성교육에 따른 중학생의 남녀평등의식 변화 (The Changes in Gender-Egalitarianism after Sexuality Education in Middle School Students)

  • Purpose: In an attempt to measure the changes in gender-egalitarianism after sexuality education based on the gender-egalitarianism in middle school students, this study was carried out. Methods: The subjects were 137 students (67 boys and 70 girls) in 4 classes that were randomized from among 8 classes of first graders in a coeducational middle school, in Seoul. By the school nurse with the assistance of an advisory committee on sex education by the MOE, sexuality education was implemented based on gender-egalitarianism. The content was presented over 18 hours during 16 weeks, from September, 2001 to December, 2001. For the pre and post check on gender-egalitarianism, a Gender Egalitarianism Scale modified by the researcher was used. Results: After the sexuality education based on the gender-egalitarianism, there was a significant elevation in gender-egalitarianism(t=4.378, p=0.000). There were no significant differences in the mean changes in gender-egalitarianism according to religion, economy level, educational level of parents, and openness of parents. And little experiences in adult video, no experience in masturbation, and being without the opposite sex were related to significant elevations in gender-egalitarianism. The case of the having the positive sexual attitudes showed a significant elevation in gender-egalitarianism as compared with the case of having negative sexual attitudes. Conclusions: Based on these results, sexuality education based on gender-egalitarianism for youth was effective in elevating gender-egalitarianism scores. Because the case of the wide experiences with sexual behaviors showed a tendency to make low gender-egalitarianism, the education program would be effective to implement early in the school as childhood is a period in which children have a non-established sex-role.

여성노인의 집단상담 경험을 통한 섹슈얼리티 인식변화에 관한 분석 (An Analysis of the Perception of Elderly Women about Sexuality through their Group Counseling Experience)

  • 본 연구는 집단상담 프로그램을 통해 여성노인의 섹슈얼리티에 관한 인식의 변화를 알아보기 위한 질적 사례 연구이다. 이를 위해 D시에 거주하는 65세 이상의 유배우자 여성 노인 8명을 선정하였고, 집단상담 프로그램을 8회기 실시하여 자료를 수집하고 사례 연구 접근으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 섹슈얼리티에 관한 여성노인의 인식은 '현재 삶 만족', '화합을 위한 관계형성', '기쁨, 이완, 능동적 자기표현', '성적 관계'로 관찰되었다. 프로그램 참여 후 참여자들은 섹슈얼리티에 대한 긍정적인 인식이 생기고, 노인기 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 섹슈얼리티를 증진시켜야 한다는 생각을 하게 되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 긍정적인 성 인식, 적극적인 부부관계, 자존감 증진 등 노인의 삶의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 섹슈얼리티 연구의 기초자료로 제공될 것이다.

TV 스포츠 영상을 통해 인지된 섹슈얼리티와 시청만족도 (Sexuality and Audience's Satisfaction Cognized through the Sports Image of Television)

  • 본 연구는 스포츠 선수들에 대한 섹슈얼리티 구성요소와 섹슈얼리티 요소가 시청만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 파악하기 위해 실시되었다. 분석결과 여자 집단에서는 섹슈얼리티 요인이 구성되지 않았다. 전체 집단에서는 '성적감응 유발부위 관련 섹슈얼리티', '신체적 특징 관련 섹슈얼리티', '화장 및 유니폼 관련 섹슈얼리티' 등과 같이 3개의 인자가 구성되었다. 남자집단 분석에서는 '성적감응 유발부위 관련 섹슈얼리티', '몸동작/신체적 특징 관련 섹슈얼리티', '유니폼 관련 섹슈얼리티', '몸단장/신체적 특징 관련 섹슈얼리티', '가슴 관련 섹슈얼리티', '젖은 몸 관련 섹슈얼리티', '외모 관련 섹슈얼리티', '건강 관련 섹슈얼리티' 등과 같이 8개의 요인이 구성되었다. 전체 집단의 3요인 모두는 시청만족도에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타난 반면, 남자 집단에서는 '유니폼 관련 섹슈얼리티', 가슴 관련 섹슈얼리티', '건강 관련 섹슈얼리티' 요인 등이 시청만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 스포츠 선호도 및 스포츠 프로그램 시청량의 요인은 두 집단 모두에서 섹슈얼리티 요인보다 시청만족도에 미치는 영향력이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다.

류마티스 관절염 여성환자의 성생활에 관한 지각된 질병의거변화와 영향요인 (Illness Intrusiveness on Sexuality and Its Influencing Factors in Rheumatoid Arthritis Women)

  • This study was conducted to clarify the effect of physical ability, pain, fatigue, depression, sexual satisfaction, and spouse criticism on the sexual intrusiveness of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)women. The subjects of the study were 89 RA outpatients who visited the department of rheumatology of Dong-A University Hospital in Pusan from March 2000 to April, 2000. Pain & Fatigue via graphic rating scale, depression via CES-D(Center for Epidemiologic Studies -Depression) scale and physical ability via the Health Assessment questionnaire(HAQ) were assessed. Also we used both Sexual satisfaction scale(Kim, et al, 1997) to measure sexual satisfaction and Spouse criticism scale(Kraaimaat et al. 1996) to measure spouse criticism. The Intrusiveness rating scale which was derived from Arthritis Impact Measurement Scale(AIMS) was used to measure illness intrusiveness in sexuality. The relationships between the variables such as pain, depression, fatigue, physical ability, spouse criticism, sexual satisfaction and illness intrusiveness on sexuality were analyzed by Pearson correlation. As a result, pain & depression were significantly positively related to illness intrusiveness and physical ability & sexual satisfaction was significantly negatively related to illness intrusiveness. But these variables were interrelated. So hierarchical regression was performed to examine the relative contribution of pain, depression, physical ability, and sexual satisfaction with regard to intrusiveness of RA on sexuality. It revealed that pain, depression & sexual satisfaction predicted significantly illness intrusiveness on sexuality. Therefore it is very important to reduce pain and depression and to increase sexual satisfaction for reducing illness intrusiveness.

중학생의 가정환경요인에 따른 성교육 후 성태도 변화 (Sexual Attitude Changes after Sex Education according to Family Environmental Factors in Middle School Students)

  • Purpose: this study was carried out to identify family environmental factors related to changes in sexual attitudes through a sexuality education based on correct sexual attitude for middle school students. Methods: The subjects were 141 students (67 boys and 74 girls) in 4 classes of the first grade of a coeducational middle school, in Seoul. The school nurse provided the sexuality education for 18 hours over 16 weeks. Results: After the sexuality education, there was a significant increase in sexual attitude(t=59.06, p<.001). For family environmental factors related to changes in sexual attitude,'relationship with parents' was a significant factor for both boys and girls. For the girls, there were many other related factors such as 'parents' openness', 'family structure', and 'economic status'. Significant factors were 'Family structure' for attitude to abortion and 'parents' openness' for attitude to intercourse before marriage. Conclusions: Based on these results, systematic sexuality education is needed to enhance correct sexual attitudes in youth. To increase the effect of sexuality education, it should include contents to improve relationships with patents. Also, for parents, programs to improve relationships with their children and to change the values such as openness may also be required.

초기청소년의 건강한 성을 위한 프로그램 개발 (The Development of a Healthy Sexuality Education Program for Early Adolescent)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a sexuality education program for early adolescents. The overall goals of the program were to not only increase knowledge and skirts, but also to improve the awareness of healthy sex in order to promote premarital abstinence, parent-teen communication and parental awareness of the importance of parental roles and responsibilities in prevention of sexual problems of the early adolescent. The program consisted of six sessions: puberty changes during adolescence, the meaning of sexuality, sexual drives in dating relationships, understanding of the risks associated with early sexual involvement and support for postponing sexual activities, managing and avoiding sexually risky situations, the importance of communications with parents about issues related to sexuality. The program evaluation had three steps: pre-test, immediate post-test and two month follow-up post test. The results showed that the program had a significantly positive effect on the improvement of adolescent's knowledge about sex, and attitudes and behaviors toward sex, particularly in the immediate post-test. At the two month follow-up assessment, the effect of the program still remained strong, though there was a sight and partial reduction which was not statistically significant. Most of the program participants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the program. Parental involvement appeared to be effective as well. Recommendations for further study include: to re-evaluate the curriculum for various other participants. In addition, further study which would compare post-test results of these participants with a comparison group of peers who did not receive the program would be valuable. The author believes that the program can be used in implementing specific subjects (sessions) in new settings, as well as implementing the entire package of the program.

"우린 이대로가 좋아요!" -『애스펀의 편지』로 읽는 이리가라이식 여성성 ("We Like It Ourselves!": Reading Female Sexuality in The Aspern Papers)

  • This paper attempts an allegorical reading of female sexuality in Henry James' The Aspern Papers, wherein the narrator reveals his obsession with the love letters of the dead poet, Jeffrey Aspern. Not only the old papers, but does he also fetishize female protagonists in order to maintain his belief in the "great poet." Discussing such fetishistic elements in the novella is in order firstly to reveal the self-splitting logic of phallocentric language, and secondly to analyze the limitation of such language, which resonates with the Freudian construction of female sexuality as critically presented by Irigary. The first part of this study explains the binary structure of The Aspern Papers crystalized in the symbolic courtship in the Bordereaus' garden. It also represents the psychological mindset of the narrator/protagonist: symbolically located "outside," the narrator describes the two Bordereaus as being closed "inside" in a dark mansion, concealing the precious papers from him and the public. In other words, the women are nothing but the obstacle for the self-elected agent, the narrator, from the publication of the language and ideas of the "great man". The women are associated with secrecy and surreptitiousness, while the man with transparency and the truth. Second part of this paper mimics this In/Out binary as a means to reveal insufficiency, if not impropriety, of the predominant discourse of female sexuality constructed and controlled from the male perspective. Employing Irigary's argument, this paper reads the female characters as allegory for female sexual organs, which explains the narrator's inevitable failure. That is, female sexuality is something that cannot be articulated by the intruding language of a masculine subject. since the female sex as such is not only plural but also harmonious and self-contained,

청소년 성교육을 위한 성성(性性)의 재개념화 커리큘럼 모색 : N번방 시대, 여성신학적 관점에서 '몸'과 '성'을 새롭게 이야기하다 (Searching for a Curriculum to Reconceptualize Sexuality for Youth Sex Education : Nth Room Era, New Talk of 'Body' and 'Sex' from a Feminist Theological Point of View)

  • 연구자는 현대 한국 사회에 큰 충격을 던져주었던 N번방 사건을 계기로 한국 청소년성교육을 둘러싼 각종 논쟁들과 시각의 차이를 살펴보았다. 한국 청소년 성교육은 학교 성교육과 및 청소년성문화센터를 통해 이루어지는 공적 성교육과 보수적·전통적 개신교 성교육으로 나누어질 수 있다. 공적 성교육은 여성주의 성윤리 및 해외의 포괄적 성교육의 영향을 일부 받아 성인지 감수성 및 성적 자기 결정권을 기본으로 성희롱, 성매매, 성폭력, 가정폭력 예방의 4가지 예방을 주요 사업으로 실시 중이다. 단, 학교 성교육표준안은 성역할 고정관념 및 성차별적 내용, 성폭력에 대한 왜곡된 통념 강화 및 성적 다양성과 다양한 가족 형태의 배제 등으로 비판받았으며, 청소년성문화센터 교육의 일부 내용 역시 마찬가지의 비판을 받고 있다. 보수적·전통적 개신교는 양성에 의한 결혼 등의 정상 가족 이데올로기와 혼전순결주의, 결혼 관계 안에서만 인정되는 성관계 윤리 등을 기본으로 하여 청소년들에게 피임법을 성에 대한 생물학적이고 의학적 지식을 가르치는 것-피임법 등-에 대해 강하게 반대하면서 공적 성교육과 대치하는 형태를 이루고 있다. 연구자는 한국 청소년 성교육을 위한 커리큘럼을 구성하면서 먼저 공적 성교육, 보수적·전통적 개신교 성윤리와 성교육, 여성주의 성윤리와 성교육, 해외 청소년성교육의 특징을 각각 분석하였다. 그리고 청소년 성교육의 보다 근본적인 해결책으로 금욕주의나 혼전순결주의, 성인지 감수성과 성적 자기결정권 교육으로는 한계가 있음을 지적하면서 이의 대안을 여성신학에서 말하는 몸과 성 개념에서 찾았다. 연구자는 다양한 여성신학자의 연구를 중심으로 왜곡된 성인식과 성문화는 이원론적 성과 몸 이해가 가장 근본적인 원인이라는 인식 하에 몸과 성에 대한 재개념화가 필요하다고 지적하며 이를 통전적 성, 타인과의 관계 속에서 이해되는 상호연대적인 성, 전 지구적인 공동체로 확장되는 영성으로서의 성 개념의 세 가지로 개념화하였다. 그리고 각각의 영역을 위한 교육과정으로 1)통전적 성: 호흡하기, 내러티브, 자신의 몸과 마음의 형태를 만들어보기 2)타인과의 관계성 안에서 이해되어지는 상호연대적인 성: 다른 사람의 호흡 느껴보기, 의식화를 통한 미디어 리터러시, 선한 바람 보내기 3)전 지구적 관심으로 확장되는 영성으로서의 성: 자연에 주의를 기울이고 공동 경작하기, 지구의 신음을 듣고 새로운 삶의 형식 만들어가기, 지구 및 동료 생명체들과 함께 하는 기도문 작성하기로 제안하였다.
