아버지의 양육태도에 영향을 주는 요인에 관한 연구 -자녀의 성 및 출생순위를 중심으로- (A Study on the Factors Affecting Father's Child-Rearing Attitudes -Focussed on the Sex and Birth-Order of Childen-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate various factors which affect father's child-rearing attitudes through the examination of father-child relationships. In other words, the study aims at finding out how the variables possessed by father side operate on his child-rearing attitudes according to the sex and birth-order of children. Hence, the study is carried out on the hypothesis that father's variables such as age, education, occupation, religion, etc. show different aspects on child-rearing attitudes by way of a child's sex and birth-order. The results of the study show that the factors that affect father's child-rearing attitudes are child's variables such as sex and birth-order as well as father's variables such as education, occupation and religion. describing these factors I detail, the study shows that father has higher concern on daughter rather than on son; the higher education he has, the higher his concern is; and when father has a white-collar job or is a Christian, he shows higher concern on his children. The above mentioned factors are analyzed and classified as follows by the child-rearing contents: A. The factors which affect father's concern one his children are: 1) sex, 2) father's education and 3) occupation related to the sex and birth-order of children. B. The factors which affect father's participation in child-care are; 1) sex, 2) birth-order, 3) father's education, 4) occupation and 5) religion related to the sex and birth-order. C. The factors which affect father's disciplinary attitudes (Praise or scolding) are ; 1) sex, 2) father's education and 3) religion related to the sex and birth-order. C. The factors which affect father's disciplinary attitudes (praise or scolding) are; 1) sex, 2) father's education related to sex, and 3) sex in terms of negative attitudes. E. Finally, father's age is proved to be a factor that does not give any significance in his child-rearing attitudes.

틸라피아 Oreochromis niloticus의 성비 결정에 미치는 암수어미의 영향 (Influences of Parental Pairs on Progeny Sex Ratios of Nile Tilapia Oreochromis niloticus)

  • Sex of the Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus is mainly determined by an XX/XY system. However, accumulating evidences suggest the existence of additional sex modifying factors including environmental, autosomal and parental influences. In order to investigate the possibility of parental effects on sex ratios of tilapia progenies, in this study, a series of crosses was carried out using gynogenetic clonal fish, neomales, normal males and females, and YY fish. Crosses between clonal XX male and clonal female have yielded only female progenies and no parental influences were observed. However, in the crosses between clonal males and normal females, female parents were significantly associated with the progeny sex ratios ($X^2$=20.046, 7 d.f., p<0.01). Progeny sex ratios from the crosses between neomales and normal females ($X^2$=60.491, 5 d.f and $X^2$=28.072, 2 d.f.) also showed significant association with female parents (P<0.001). The stability of progeny sex ratios from repeated spawns were confirmed by using 6 different parental pairs. In 16 crosses between normal males and normal females, sex ratios of progenies showed clear maternal influences, and further analysis of the results revealed a negative correlation ($r^2$=0.7718, p<0.05) between the sex ratios of progenies from two different males, indicating a strong paternal influence. No statistically significant relationship between survival rates and sex ratios of progenies was observed in any genotypic groups. Taken together, the influence of parental pairs on progeny sex ratios in this species is evident although the cause of this influence is not clear.

부모로서 성 역할에 대한 대학생의 지각 (Perception of Parental Sex Role by University Student)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to describe the perception of parental sex role held by university students and to examine differences in perception of parental sex role according to student characteristics. Method: The participants were 336 university students in Gangreung city. The instrument of parental sex role was developed by the researcher and consisted of 3 subcategories; general parent role, parental sex role as a father and parental sex role as a mother. Results: The most positive item of parental sex role as a father is 'the Father's role is teaching about the value of society'. The most positive item of parental sex role as a mother is 'the Mother's role is to be a counselor or friend'. There were significant differences in perception of a father's role according to sex, type of college, fathers who lived with student during childhood, the relationship with the parent, the plan of marriage & having a child, responsibility of childrearing, and the need for education for the parental role. There were significant differences in perception of the mother's role according to sex, grade, type of college, birth order, type of family, persons who lived with student during childhood, the relationship with the parent, plan of marriage & having a child, responsibility of child-rearing, and the need for education for the parental role. Conclusion: The parental sex role changes overtime. Thus, it is important to identify university student's perception of parental sex roles as pre-parent preparation for parenting.

중학생을 위한 성교육 및 성폭력 예방 프로그램 효과성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficiency of Sex Education & Prevention of Sexual Violence Program for Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 성교육을 효과적으로 수행하기 위해서 성교육 및 성폭력 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과성을 검증하고자 하는 것이었다. 총 10회기의 성교육 프로그램을 개발하였고 연구대상은 중학교 2학년으로 선정하였으며, 사전사후 분석을 통해서 효과성을 검증하였다. 그 결과는 첫째, 성교육 영역은 인간과 성심리, 신체발달과 성건강, 사회적 환경과 양성평등, 결혼과 건강한 가족 4가지였으며, 10회기로 내용을 편성하였다. 구체적인 내용은 우정과 사랑, 부모됨, 성욕조절, 성병, 피임, 성 지식, 양성평등, 가정폭력, 의사소통 등을 포함하고 있다. 둘째, 프로그램 실시 결과 각 해당 영역에서 성지식 습득정도가 교육실시 전보다 정확해졌으며 새로운 습득한 성지식이 많았다. 성태도의 변화는 교육 전에 비해 양성평등적 태도로 달라졌으며, 성에 대한 책임의식이나 적극적인 태도로 변화가 나타나서 성교육의 효과를 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 성교육운영에 대해서 응답자들은 도움이 되었으며 비교적 만족한다고 응답하였으며, 현재 학교에서 이루어지는 성교육운영 전반의 개선이 필요하다고 인식하고 있었다.

Review on Silkworm (Bombyx mori) Sex Control in China

  • Normally, silkworms, Bombyx mori, generate offspring by sexual activity. As we known, the hybrids of the first generation of the silkworm have higher cocoon production than pure lines. During the sericulture production, many processes are related with sex control. For example, sex sorting in the egg grainages, rearing of only male silkworm to save the mulberry leaf consumption and increase silk output and quality. Therefore it is very interested in understanding the sex control of the silkworm in theory and practice. Chinese sericultural scientists have been being engaged in the researches in the fields of artificifial parthogenesis, dispermic androgenesis, sex-limited varieties, sex linkage balanced lethal strain and high temperature sensitive male stocks for several decades and gained substantial achievement. Some of the achievements have been used in the commercial production. In this review, the authors introduced that the methods for control of the silkworm sex, and regulate the silkworm sex ratio according to different producing aim in the world and especially in China.

혼외관계에 대한 허용도에 미치는 혼외성경험과 성별 영향 (A Study on the permissiveness toward extramarital relationships according to extramarital sexual involvement and sex)

  • This study is to examine the influences of the sex and the extramarital sexual involvement on the permissiveness toward extramarital relationship. The relative influences which the sex and the extramarital sexual involvement have on the permissiveness were measured accordingly to the sex of the involved spouse. From the sample of 492 married individuals, the findings were as follows : First, regardless of the sex of the respondents, extramarital relationship was mostly disapproved. Irrespective of the sex of the involved spouse, men tended to be more permissive than women. Respondents who had extramarital sexual involvements were more permissive than those who had not. Also, whether the respondent had experienced an extramarital sexual involvement or not, women's permissiveness did not depend much on the sex of the involved spouse. Meanwhile, men's permissiveness did. Second, while both the sex and the extramarital sexual involvement were significant variables influencing men's extramarital relationships, only the extramarital sexual involvement proved to be significant in women's case. This result identifies the sex double-standard for the permissiveness toward extramarital relationship.

성교육 프로그램이 여고생의 성지식과 성태도에 미치는 효과 (The effect of sex education program on high school girls' knowledge and attitude toward sex)

  • The purpose of this study is to develope sex education program for high school girls and to verify the effectiveness of the program in terms of improving the knowledge and attitude of them after executing the program. The subjects of study are 126 girls from K high school in Changwon city and they are divided into an experimental group and control group, and each group has 63 students. The program is executed 8 sessions during 8 weeks and the necessary time is 50 minutes for each session. The experimental group who has received sex education shows higher level of sex knowledge after sex education than control group, and the experimental group shows higher level of sound attitude toward sexual matters after sex education. The effect of education regarding sexual knowledge and attitude in an experimental group are lasted even after the education is finished. Conclusionally, these results shows that the sex education program which is developed for this study is effective.

아동의 성항상성과 성별 특정화 행동 (Children's Sex-Specific Behavior and Their Concept of Gender Constancy)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate (1) the developmental level of children's concept of gender by age and sex. (2) children's sex-specific behaviors by age and sex, and (3) children's sex-specific behaviors by developmental level of gender constancy. The subjects were 164 children (forty 3-year-olds, forty-three 5-year-olds, forty 7-year-olds and forty-one 9-year olds) with nearly equal numbers of boys and girls. They were selected from two kindergartens and one elementary school. A quasi experiment was carried out with the procedures described by Slaby and Frey (1976) to measure children's developmental level of the concept of gender constancy. Two experiments were carried out to observe children's sex-specific behaviors: one for children's toy choice behavior and the other for children's interaction with their peers. Statistical methods adopted for data analysis were frequencies. percentiles, mean. and $X^2$. It was found that children's sex-specific behaviors were different according to their developmental level of gender constancy. Children's developmental level of gender constancy was significantly different according to their age, but there was no difference according to their sex. Children's toy-choice behavior was significantly different according to their age and sex. Children's sex-specific behaviors were significantly different according to their concept of gender constancy.

직업에 대한 아동의 성별 고정관념의 인식 (Children's Perceptions of Occupational Sex-Stereotypes)

  • The purpose of the present research was to study (1) children's sex-stereotyped perception toward adult occupations, and (2) the impact of traditional sex-stereotypes on future occupational preference. The subjects of this study were 120 children, 3 to 8 years of age enrolled in kindergatens and elementary schools. The instrument was developed by the researcher and consisted of 10 occupations which are traditionally sex-typed in Korean society. 5 male and female sex-typed occupations were selected with the participation of 200 college students. These occupations were illustrated on 10 pictorial cards, and short verbal explanations were given for each of them. It was found that: (1) Levels of children's perception of occupational sex stereotypes show that children aged five to six are marked comparatively higher than those aged three to four in the perception of occupation, children of seven to eight age indicate slightly downward; however, they are not differed significantly from those of five to six. (2) As far as levels of children'5 perception of occupational sex stereotypes aged three to four, five to six and seven to eight are concerned, interaction between age and sex was not shown significantly. Female children were more stereotyped at almost all age levels. (3) Irrespective of sex and age, all subjects were more familiar with male than with female occupations. (4) in the choice of future occupations, boys as well as girls preferred sex-stereotyped occupations for themselves. Boy's choices were more stereotyped than girls', but the number of kinds of occupations chosen by boys and by girls was not different. (5) There was an increase with age in the number of children who gave future occupational choices.

노년기 부부의 성역할태도가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Sex-Role Attitude of the Elderly Couples on Marital Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 노년기 부부의 인구사회적 특성에 따른 성역할 태도와 결혼만족도의 차이를 분석하고, 성역할 태도(성역할 인식, 성능력 인식)와 결혼만족도의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 설문조사는 경기도에 거주하는 60세 이상의 노년기 부부를 대상으로 실시하여 총 378부를 수집하여 빈도분석, 요인분석, 위계적회귀분석, t-test 및 분산분석 등을 실시하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구사회학적 특성에 따라 성역할 태도와 결혼만족도에 부분적인 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 성역할 인식은 결혼만족도에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으나, 성능력 인식은 영향을 미치지 않았다.
