A Color-Based Medicine Bottle Classification Method Robust to Illumination Variations (조명 변화에 강인한 컬러정보 기반의 약병 분류 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose the classification method of medicine bottle images using the features with color and size information. It is difficult to classify with size feature only, because there are many similar sizes of bottles. Therefore, we suggest a classification method based on color information, which robust to illumination variations. First, we extract MBR(Minimum Boundary Rectangle) of medicine bottle area using Binary Threshold of Red, Green, and Blue in image and classify images with size. Then, hue information and RGB color average rate are used to classify image, which features are robust to lighting variations. Finally, using SURF(Speed Up Robust Features) algorithm, corresponding image can be found from candidates with previous extracted features. The proposed method makes to reduce execution time and minimize the error rate and is confirmed to be reliable and efficient from experiment.

  • In the past, regional pilot service is provided by individual pilots directly on board each ship, but it will be difficult to provide this type of service in the near future when autonomous vessels are activated. This can be seen as the need for automation and intelligence of pilot service and provision of remote control system. In this paper, we propose a method, system, and service target that can carry out the electronic pilot service through the intelligence aids to navigation for smart port operation.

Investigation on antimicrobial resistance genes of Salmonella Schwarzengrund isolated from pigs (돼지유래 Salmonella Schwarzengrund의 약제내성 유전자에 관한 연구)

  • To detect the virulence genes (invA and spvC) and antimicrobial resistance genes, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was carried out using total 67 strains of S. Schwarzengrund isolated from pigs. As results, invA was detected from all 67 strains of S. Schwarzengrund, however, spvC was not at all. All 12 strains with ampicillin resistance, 15 strains with chloramphenicol resistance, 9 strains with kanamycin resistance, 1 strain with sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim resistance, and 66 (98.5%) of 67 strains with tetracycline resistance carried TEM (${\beta}$-lactamase $bla_{TEM}$), cmlA (nonenzymatic chloramphenicol resistance), aphA1-Iab (aminoglycoside phosphotransferase), sulII (dihydropteroate synthase), and tetA (class A tetracycline resistance), respectively. All 63 strains with streptomycin resistance carried 3 aminoglycoside resistance genes, including aadA (aminoglycoside adenyltransferase), strA, and strB (streptomycin phosphotransferase). With respect to prevalence of antibiotic resistance genes occurred in S. Schwarzengrund, genes for strB (46.0%); strA and strB (30.2%); aadA, strA, and strB (9.5%); strA (7.9%); aadA and strB (3.2%); and aadA (3.2%) were detected by PCR.

팔라듐 합금 수소 분리막의 전처리에 관한 연구

  • 고온 스퍼터 공정과 구리 리플로우 공정을 통해 다공성 니켈 지지체에 팔라듐-구리-니켈 삼원계 합금 수소 분리막을 제조하였다. 그러나 스퍼터와 같은 물리적 증착법은 주로 주상정 형태로 증착되기 때문에 다공성 니켈 지지체 표면의 수마이크론 내외의 기공이 존재할 경우 다공성 니켈 지지체에 기인한 많은 기공들 때문에 스퍼터 증착에 영향을 주어 수소 분리막 표면에 기공들이 존재하게 된다. 이를 방지하고 균일한 증착이 이루어지도록 다공성 지지체 표면의 전처리 공정이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 스퍼터 코팅에 의한 균일한 팔라듐 금속층 형성하고 표면에 미세기공이 없는 수소 분리막을 제조하기 위해 다공성 니켈 지지체를 니켈도금, 알루미나 분말 주입 및 미세연마 전처리 공정을 통하여 다공성 니켈 지지체의 표면기공들을 매립하여 치밀한 팔라듐 합금 층을 형성하였다. 전처리를 하지 않은 다공성 니켈 지지체는 팔라듐 및 구리의 고온 스퍼터 증착 및 구리 리플로우 공정에 의해 표면 기공을 막을 수가 없었고 수소분리기능이 없어 수소 분리막으로 역할을 하지 못했다. Al2O3 분말 주입 전처리 공정을 한 다공성 니켈 지지체에 팔라듐 및 구리 고온 스퍼터 증착과 구리 리플로우 공정을 이용하여 제조된 수소 분리막은 다공성 니켈 지지체에 기인한 기공을 메우기 위해서 팔라듐 합금 층이 두꺼워지는 어려움이 있었다. 니켈도금 전처리 공정을 한 다공성 니켈 지지체에 형성한 수소 분리막은 우수한 선택도를 가졌으나 도금 전처리에 사용된 $2{\mu}m$ 두께의 니켈층이 수소의 확산을 방해하는 저항막 역할을 하여 수소 투과도가 3.96 $ml{\cdot}cm-2{\cdot}min-1{\cdot}atm-1$으로 낮게 나타났다. 미세연마 전처리 공정을 한 다공성 니켈 지지체에 형성한 수소 분리막 역시 우수한 수소 선택도를 가졌으며, 수소의 확산을 방해하는 저항막이 존재하지 않아 13.2 $ml{\cdot}cm-2{\cdot}min-1{\cdot}atm-1$의 우수한 수소 투과도를 나타내었다.

A Study on the Formation of Acicular Ferrite in HAZ of Ti-Oxide Steel (Ti 산화물강의 용접열영향부에서 Acicular Ferrite의 형성에 관한 연구)

  • 용접부 인성을 향상시키기 위해 Ti 산화물을 첨가한 Ti 산화물강에 대하여 용접시 최고가 열온도와 냉각속도의 변화가 용접열영향부의 미세조직에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 용접열영향부의 인성향상에 기여하는 acicular ferrite는 140$0^{\circ}C$ 이상의 최고가열온도와 $\Delta$t800-500가 40초보다 빠른 냉각속도에서 활발해 생성되었다. 오스테나이트 결정립내에서 개재물로부터 핵생성된 일차 acicular ferite의 생성량은 전체 aicular ferrite의 약 20% 정도로 적었으며 대부분의 acicular ferrite는 일차 acicular ferrite로부터 생성된 이차 acicular ferrite인 것으로 나타났다. 이차 acicular ferrite는 plate사이에 Fe3C층이 존재하는 것으로 보아 확산기구에 의해 생성되는 것으로 생각된다. 개재물은 TiO, TiO2, TiN, MnS, AI2O3 MnO(galaxite)등으로 구성된 복합상이었으며 개재물이 일차 acicular ferrite의 핵생성 site로 작용하기 위해서는 약 1$\mu\textrm{m}$이상의 크기가 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. Ti 산화물과 TiN는 직접적인 acicular ferrite의 핵생성 site로 작용하기보다는 MnS, galaxite 등의 석출 site로 작용하여 개재물의 크기를 증가시킴으로써 acicular ferrite의 생성을 촉진시키는 것으로 생각된다.

A Large Area Plasma Source Using Multi-cathode Electron Beam (다중 음극 전자빔을 이용한 대면적 플라즈마 소스)

  • A new plasma source using the multi-cathode electron beam has been designed and manufactured. A multi-cathode was adopted to produce bulk plasmas in a large volume. Multi-cathode electron beam plasma source(MCEBPS) was found to generate stable plasmas over the wafer diameter of 300 mm or above. W(tungsten) filament was used as a cathode. Over a 320 mm diameter, both the plasma potential $V_p$ and floating potential $V_f$ were uniformly maintained and the difference between $V_p and V_f$ was measured to be small. The plasma density was around $10^{10} cm^{-3}$ and its variation along the radial distance was small.

Lean Burn Characteristics in a Heavy Duty Liquid Phase LPG Injection SI Engine (대형 액상분사식 LPG 엔진의 희박연소특성에 관한 연구)

  • Fuel distribution, combustion, and flame propagation characteristics of heavy duty engine with the liquid phase LPG injection(LPLI) were studied in a single cylinder engine. Optically accessible single cylinder engine and laser diagnostics system were built for quantifying fuel concentration by acetone PLIF(planar laser induced fluorescence) measurements. In case of Otto cycle engine with large bore size, the engine knock and thermal stress of exhaust manifold are so critical that lean burn operation is needed to reduce the problems. It is generally known that fuel stratification is one of the key technologies to extend the lean misfire limit. The formation of rich mixture in the spark plug vicinity was achieved by open valve injection. With higher swirl strength(Rs=3.4) and open valve injection, the cloud of fuel followed the flow direction and the radial air/fuel mixing was limited by strong swirl flow. It was expected that axial stratification was maintained with open-valve injection if the radial component of the swirling motion was stronger than the axial components. The axial fuel stratification and concentration were sensitive to fuel injection timing in case of Rs=3.4 while those were relatively independent of the injection timing in case of Rs2.3. Thus, strong swirl flow could promote desirable axial fuel stratification and, in result, may make flame propagation stable in the early stage of combustion.

  • In a virtual aquarium, the behavior of fish objects is the most important factor in respect of visual effects. In addition to the individual behavior of fish object, the interactions between objects due to their attributes, can improve the dynamics and reality of the virtual world. In this paper, we analyze the principal habits of fish objects such as the vitality, the range of movement, the maximum depth of water they can live, and the cycle of eating. Then, we suggest a method for simulating the stable marine ecosystem with controlling the behaviors, the interaction with other species, the average span of life, and all that sort of thing based on the result of analysis. Because we can freely modify the behavior of fish object by altering the values of attributes, it can be utilized in the dynamic virtual aquarium, the 3D aquarium screen saver, and the virtual fish game, and so on.

  • Congestion on expressways is increasing in spite of continuous road construction. In enlargement of expressway capacity to lessen congestion, a long period is needed and in the case of traffic congestion, it would be impossible to avoid long periods of traffic congestion. So, it is necessary to cope with traffic congestion through continuous traffic condition monitoring, analysis of the causes of congestion and the development of alternatives before traffic conditions worsen. A congestion index that can express traffic operating conditions measurably is needed to monitor those conditions. Thus, in this research, a new congestion index, the Traffic Condition Index (TCI), is developed. TCI is able to evaluate roads that have different grades (or design speeds) and to judge traffic condition as good, fair and poor (congested). In addition, TCI has merits in that it can strengthen the function of existing Freeway Traffic Management Systems (FTMS) and can be applied to congestion management easily: TCI calculates congestion intensity and severity using data obtained from existing FTMS. In order to validate TCI, it was applied to the Kyungbu Expressway and the Seohaean Expressway. As a result, TCI shows a good performance in the aspect of applicability and ability of presentation of traffic conditions compared with travel speed and Travel Time Index (TTI).

Temporal Changes of Plasma Vitellogenin (VTG), Alkaline-Labile Protein Phosphorus (ALPP), Calcium (Ca), Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase (GPT) and Hepatosomatic Index (HSI) in the $Estradiol-17\beta-Administered$ Immature Rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli ($Estradiol-17\beta$의 복강주사에 따른 미성숙 조피볼락, Sebastes schlegeli의 혈장 VTG, ALPP, Ca, GPT 및 HSI의 일시적 변동)

  • Temporal changes of plasma vitellogenin (VTG), alkaline-labile protein phosphorus (ALPP), calcium (Ca), glutamate pyruvate transaminase (GPT) and hepatosomatic index (HSI) were examined in the $estradiol-17\beta$ ${E_2}$-administered immature rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli. Fish were intraperitoneally injected with ${E_2}$ (5 ㎎/kg B.W.) in 70% ethanol and then plasma were extracted at 0, 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 days. VTG band was detected at a molecular weight position of about 170 kDa on Day 3 in SDS-PAGE. This band became more distinct at 6 days but its was gradually thinned with time-course, and not detected at 15 days. Plasma ALPP and Ca increased suddenly at 1 day and the highest concentrations were detected at 6 days and then these concentrations decreased gradually with time-course. ALPP and Ca concentrations at 15 days after E2 administration were very similar to that before E2 administration. GPT was increased at 1 day and higher GPT was detected at 3 days. However, GPT was gradually decreased with time-course. GPT and HSI at 15 days after E2 administration were also very similar to that before E2 administration. HSI was also increased at 1 day and the highest value was detected at 3 days and then gradually decreased with time-course. These results suggest that plasma ALPP, Ca, GPT and HSI could be utilized as a biomarker of exogenous E2 exposure in coastal ecosystem, because the changes of ALPP, Ca, GPT and HSI after E2 administration are very similar to that of VTG.
