영동지역 청동기시대 취락구조의 변천 (The study changes of the settlement structure on Bronze Age in Yongdong area)

  • 영동지역 청동기시대 취락구조에 대한 연구는 한정된 지역과 유적에 대한 조사가 이루어진 상태이고, 대부분의 전기취락에서는 주거지만이 조사되어 종합적인 검토를 할 수 없는 상황이다. 전기취락은 이른 시기에는 취락의 규모가 작으며, 방내리 단계부터 구릉 내에 주거 점유 면적이 늘어남에 따라 자연히 주거지 수가 증가하면서 취락의 규모가 확대되는 양상이 보여진다. 중기취락은 현재 방동리 A 유적에서 최초로 확인되었으나, 취락구조를 검토하기에는 자료의 증가가 필요하다. 원형점토대토기 단계인 후기취락은 하천 주변에 위치한 구릉성 취락인 송현리 취락과 고지성 취락에 해당하는 방동리 취락에서는 주거지, 환호, 수혈유구, 소성유구, 분묘, 대형의 공공주거지 등의 대규모 원형 점토대토기 취락이 조사되어 청동기시대 후기의 문화양상과 성격 및 취락구조를 파악할 수 있는 자료를 제공해 주었다.

Settlement behavior and controlling effectiveness of two types of rigid pile structure embankments in high-speed railways

  • In this study, a series of geotechnical centrifugal tests were conducted to investigate the effectiveness of settlement control of two types of rigid pile structure embankments (PRSE) in collapsible loess under high-speed railway embankments. The research results show that ground reinforcement is required to reduce the post-construction settlement and settlement rate of the embankments. The rigid pile structure embankments using rigid piles can substantially reduce the embankment settlement in the construction of embankments on collapsible loess, and the efficiency in settlement reduction is affected by the pile spacing. The pile-raft structure embankments (PRSE) have much stronger ability in terms of the effectiveness of settlement control, while the pile-geogrid structure embankments (PGSE) provides rapid construction as well as economic benefits. Rational range of pile spacing of PRSE and PGSE are suggested based on the requirements of various railways design speeds. Furthermore, the time effectiveness of negative skin friction of piles and the action of pile-cap setting are also investigated. The relevant measures for improving the bearing capacity and two parts of transition zone forms as positive control mean have been suggested.

Experimental investigation of earth pressure on retaining wall and ground settlement subjected to tunneling in confined space

  • To study the influences of tunneling on the earth pressure and ground settlement when the tunnel passes through the adjacent underground retaining structure, 30 two-dimensional model tests were carried out taking into account the ratios of tunnel excavation depth (H) to lateral width (w), excavation width (B), and excavation distance using a custom-made test device and an analogical soil. Tunnel crossing adjacent existing retaining structure (TCE) and tunnel crossing adjacent newly-built retaining structure (TCN) were simulated and the earth pressure variations and ground settlement distribution during excavation were analyzed. For TCE condition, the earth pressure increments, maximum ground settlement and the curvature of the ground settlement curve are negatively related to H/B, but positively related to H/s and H/w. For TCN condition, most trends are consistent with TCE except that the earth pressure increments and the curvature of ground settlement curve are negatively related to H/w. The maximum ground settlement is larger than that observed in tunnel crossing the existing underground structure. This study provides an assessment basis for the design and construction under confined space conditions.

모래층 지반 안벽구조물의 탄성침하거동 연구 (A Study on Behavior of Elastic Settlement of Coastal Structure on Sandy Ground)

  • This paper is research results of investigating the elastic settlement behavior of the coastal caisson structure built on the sandy deposit by comparing results of centrifuge model experiments and those of existing methods of estimating elastic settlement. Basic soil property tests such as specific gravity test, grain size distribution test and organic content test with disturbed soil sampled from the site were carried out. The centrifuge experiment of model satisfying the required design criteria was performed under 50 of artificial accelerated gravitational force condition. The Centrifuge model experimental results were compared and analyzed with the current methods of estimating settlement based on the elastic modulus obtained from the results of odeometer tests and empirical methods from literature reviews.

지진시 속도의 PSI를 활용한 케이슨식 안벽의 침하량 평가 (Settlement Evaluation of Caisson-Type Quay Wall Using PSI of Velocity During Earthquake)

  • 해안구조물의 기능 유지를 위해서 침하량을 예측하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 이를 위한 방법으로는 유한요소해석법이나 실물 및 모형실험 등을 들 수 있지만, 이는 비용과 시간이 많이 소요된다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 케이슨식 안벽구조물의 침하량을 간편하게 예측할 수 있는 간편식 제안을 목적으로 연구가 진행되었다. 연구 진행 과정은 속도의 PSI(Power Spectrum Intensity)를 산정 후, 기존 중력식 방파제의 간편식에 대입하여 구조물의 침하량을 구한다. 이를 수치해석을 통해 얻은 구조물의 침하량과 비교 분석하여 기존 간편식 침하량과 수치해석 침하량 간의 오차가 다소 큰 것을 확인하였고, 이는 기존 간편식의 경우 배후지반에 대해 고려할 수 없었기 때문임을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 안벽구조물의 배후지반에 대한 보정계수를 제안함으로써 케이슨식 안벽구조물의 침하량을 구할 수 있는 간편식을 나타내었다. 수치해석 침하량과 비교하였을 때, 이 간편식은 케이슨식 안벽 침하량을 산정하는데에 충분한 정밀도를 가지고 있다고 판단하였다. 또한 시간과 비용이 부족한 상황에서 내진성에 취약한 시설을 간편하게 추출할 수 있으며, 스크리닝 기법으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

연약지반에서 날개벽 기초의 침하량 산정 (Settlement Behavior of Wing-wall type Foundation on Soft Grounds)

  • Piled raft foundation is commonly used for structure on deep soft soil deposit rather than end bearing piles to control differential settlement. However, it is still expensive for light weight structures. Wing-wall type foundation has been successfully applied to reduce average settlement for light weight structure. This study will further investigate this type of foundation using bench scale experiments on clay and sand. Numerical analysis and approach method are used to verify load settlement curve of wing-wall foundation on experimentally study. Furthermore, normalized settlement curves are applied to define prediction of settlement on wing-wall foundation. In the result settlement on wing-wall foundation can be effectively done by increasing the length of wall instead of number of walls and equation for calculating average settlement can be derived using normalized load settlement curve.

  • 오늘날 도시 과밀화로 인해 한정된 부지를 효과적으로 사용하기 위해 기존 구조물과 인접한 조건에서 신규 구조물이 시공되는 경우가 많아지고 있다. 기존 구조물 근처에 신규 구조물이 시공되는 경우 기존 구조물에 의한 간섭효과가 발생할 수 있어, 이와 관련된 다양한 국내외 연구들이 진행되고 있지만 실험실 규모에서 모사할 수 있는 근접 구조물의 조건들이 한정적이라 실제 현장 조건을 제대로 반영하지 못하고 있다. 아울러 근접시공에 관한 명확한 기준과 역학적 거동이 규명되어 있지 않아 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 크기의 근접 구조물 시공 조건에 대한 지지력 및 침하량 변화를 관찰하기 위한 실험 연구를 수행하였다. 실험 결과 사질토 지반에서 구조물이 특정 거리 내에 근접 시공되는 경우 간섭효과로 인해 신규 구조물의 지지력 상승 효과가 확인되었으나 기존 구조물의 침하량이 증가하여 실제 근접 시공 시 면밀한 검토가 필요함을 확인하였다.

  • Recently, the high speed railway comes into the spotlight as the important and convenient traffic infrastructure. In Korea, Kyung-Bu high speed train service began in about 400km section at 2004, and the Ho-Nam high speed railway will be constructed by 2017. The high speed train will run with a design maximum speed of 300-350km/hr. Since the trains are operated at high speed, the differential settlement of subgrade under the rail is able to cause a fatal disaster. Therefore, the differential settlement of the embankment must be controlled with the greatest care. Furthermore, the characteristics and causes of settlements which occurred under construction and post-construction should be investigated. A considerable number of studies have been conducted on the settlement of the natural ground over the past several decades. But little attention has been given to the compression settlement of the embankment. The long-term settlement of compacted fills embankments is greatly influenced by the post-construction wetting. This is called 'hydro collapse' or 'wetting collapse'. This wetting collapse problem for the compressibility of compacted sands, gravels and rockfills, has been recognized by several researchers. For this wetting settlement problem, we showed the test results carried out with 4 fill materials. These tests were performed under the condition that the fill materials were inundated at the first wetting. Subsequently, in this study, we investigated the long-term settlement characteristics of the fill materials under the repeated partial wetting and rising of the ground water table happend by rainfall.

실드테일보이드에 의해 발생하는 지표구조물의 침하 억제를 위한 마이크로파일의 적용 (An Application of Micropile to Restrain the Settlement of Structure on the Ground Surface caused by Shield Tail Void)

  • In soft ground tunneling, shield method is very good for safety of neighboring structures. Although shield tunnel method has the merits to minimize the deformation of ground around tunnel, ground deformations occurred until the material grouted in tail void hardens are inevitable. In this study, the effects of micropile used as one method to restrain the settlement of neighboring structures by the tail void are studied by laboratory model tests. As a basic test result, the effective direction of micropile and the restraint rate of settlement by micropile reinforcement are known.

  • There are many risks in constructing tunnel-structure. To prevent these risks from occurring and secure safety, the precise and rapid survey of inside displacement of the tunnel is required. But nowadays the measurement of the crown settlement, convergency, and surface settlement depends on general kinds of method which use total station or level. In the way to provide data about maintaining structure according to recent improvement and progress of measuring technology, 3D laser scanning is used. It solves the problem of reliability in measuring displacement of existing structure, provides material that enables to estimate shape change of structure visually, and makes it possible to deliberate speedy countermeasure. By this three dimensioning it is possible to make efficient use of structure maintenance and field measurement
