지연제가 물씻기 공법에 의한 골재 노출콘크리트의 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of retarding agent on the properties of aggregate-exposed concrete produced by water jet washing method)

  • In this research, the effect of the amount of retarder and the washing timing on the quality of aggregate-exposed concrete produced by water-jet washing method is evaluated as a series of test to develop the aggregate-exposed concrete as a concrete finishing method. As a result, the amount of losing aggregate and surface mortar was increased as the dosage of retarder was increased because of the hydration retarding effect of the retarder. Furthermore, as the washing timing was extended, the mortar on the surface of the concrete was not blown by water jet with 8 to 24 ml of retarder because of hydration of cement, hence the surface quality was poor. Therefore, washing timing of one day after concrete placement showed 90 % of aggregate exposed rate and 24 ml of retarder showed the most favorable result of aggregate exposure.

Study on the Retarding Mechanism and Strength Loss of Gypsum from Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein Retarder

  • In this article, the influence of a hydrolyzed wheat protein retarder on the hydration process, ion concentration in liquid phase, degree of supersaturation, and crystal morphology of plaster was investigated. Furthermore, the retarding mechanism and the strength loss of gypsum were also studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results indicate that the use of the hydrolyzed wheat protein retarder for plaster achieved a better retarding effect and lower strength loss. The combination of gypsum plaster with the retarder not only decreased the plaster's early hydration rate and prolonged its setting time efficiently, but also militated against the crystal morphology of dihydrate gypsum. For example, the crystal dimensions changed little, but the proportion of needle-shaped crystals decreased. Combination with calcium ions on the surface of dihydrate gypsum crystal nuclei may form a chemisorbed layer, reduce the surface energy of the crystal nuclei, and inhibit the growth of the crystal nuclei of dihydrate gypsum. Consequently, the hydration process of building gypsum becomes greatly extended and is slowed down significantly.

  • Most of the construction adhesive may contain harmful component to the human body with an organic adhesive. In addition, when the adhesive caused hydroquinone, alkyl benzophenone, etc, also it raises the skin diseases to workers. Therefore, the inorganic adhesive development is necessary. This study was a study to know adhesive strength properties that adhesive using a magnesium oxide according to the addition ratio of the retarder. It has experiments to two types of magnesium oxide and type and ratio of retarder differently.

Hydration Products, Morphology and Microstructure of Activated Slag Cement

  • This paper reports the physical properties and hydration products of slag cement that was prepared by activating ground granulated blast furnace slag with commercial lime and plaster of Paris (POP) as activators. The consistency, setting times and soundness of various mixes of slag-lime-POP is reported. The hydration products and formation of bonds in the paste during setting were studied with the help of SEM, FTIR and XRD tests and the same are correlated to the hydration process. The setting times of the mixes are found to be lower than that of the value prescribed for ordinary Portland cement (OPC). Borax is used as a setting retarder and a borax content of 0.4 % by mass gives setting times that are normally prescribed for OPC. In the early stages of setting C-A-S-H gels are found in this cementing material instead of C-S-H gel, as generally observed in the OPC.

정제화 방법을 이용한 응결 지연제의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Properties of Retarder via Tabletting Method)

  • 여름철 서중 콘크리트 타설시 높은 온도로 인하여 시멘트 수화반응이 촉진되어 수분의 증발 및 응결이 빨라지게 되며, 이로 인해 컨시스턴시(consistency)가 크게 저하되고, 콜드조인트(cold joint)가 발생한다. 이러한 문제 해결을 위하여 냉각 파이프, 얼음, 액체질소 등을 사용한 냉각 등의 방법이 사용되고 있으나, 사용상의 어려움과 에너지 소비에 따른 경제성 감소 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이 중 지연제의 사용은 경제적이지만 첨가량을 과도하게 사용하면 콘크리트의 경화불량이 발생하기 쉽고, 응결시간 관리가 어려울 수 있다. 또한, 현재 지연제의 인력투입으로 인한 정확한 계량 및 투입이 어렵고 분진발생 등 작업성에 문제가 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 분말형 지연제를 의약분야에서 보편적으로 사용하는 정제화 방법을 이용하여 타블렛을 제작하였고, 모르타르의 플로우 테스트 및 응결 시험을 검토한 이 후 콘크리트의 물리적 특성 및 역학적 특성 시험을 실시하여 품질성능에 영향을 미치는지 확인 하였다. 그 결과 리그닌 설폰산염 지연제보다 글루코산염 지연제를 정제화 했을 때 보다 좋은 효과를 발휘 하는 것을 보여 주었다. 또한, 정제화 방법 적용으로 인해 콘크리트의 품질성능을 저하하지 않고 정확한 계량 및 분진발생 등과 같은 관리상의 어려움을 해결할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다.

CaO-Al2O3계 무기결합재 사용량에 따른 고로슬래그 미분말의 응결특성 (Setting Properties of GGBS Powder According to Replacement of Ratio of CaO-Al2O3 Based Inorganic Binder)

  • As a part of study to maximize the amount used of the ground granulated blast-furnace slag, the study deals with setting properties of paste that is mixed the ground granulated blast-furnace slag with CaO-Al2O3 based inorganic blinder. The results of the experiment show that the setting time is most fast in the mix of 25% rate of CaO-Al2O3 based inorganic blinder. It is generally needed 2 hours for work time in precast concrete products. In this study, this requirement is achieved when using the retarder of 0.5%.

시멘트 모르타르의 응결 지연 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Retarding effects of Cememtn Mortar Setting)

  • In following addition of 0.3, -0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 5 weight percent MgSiF66H2O studies have been made of the setting and hardening characteristics of ordinary portland cement. MgSiF66H2O retarded the setting time of ordinary portland cement and extended the induction pariod of the hydration. In ordinary portland cement the setting characteristics were drastically altered especially at high MgSiF66H2O contents. Evidence was also obtained by the formation of a KSiF6 which was very fine particle. The results wee as follows. 1. Slump was slightly decreased when MgSiF66H2O added. 2. Setting time was retarded depending on the amount of retarding agent 2 to 8 hours 3. Compressive strength was almost same or some increased in comparision with opc. 4. When MgSiF66H2O was added to cement paste K2SiF6 were formed It was fine-sized distributed uniformly in cement grain and caused retardation of cement setting.

알칼리 활성 슬래그 결합재의 미소수화열 분석 (Isothermal Conduction Calorimetry Analysis of Alkali Activated Slag Binder)

  • 본 연구에서는 알칼리 활성화 슬래그 결합재의 반응성을 정량적으로 살펴보기 위해 미소수화열을 분석을 수행하였다. 알칼리 활성화 슬래그 결합재의 반응성 및 작업성 확보를 위해 다양한 알칼리 자극제의 종류 및 농도에 대해서 실험을 수행하였다. 알칼리 자극제 및 $SO_3$ 질량비를 변화하면서 미소수화열을 측정하였으며, 응결시간 제어를 위해 sodium tripolyphosphate ($Na_2P_3O_{10}$)와 hydrated sodium borate ($Na_2B_4O_710H_2O$)를 적용하였다. 그 결과, 알칼리 활성화 슬래그 결합재는 알칼리 활성에 의해 calcium silicate hydrate(C-S-H)를 촉진하는데 4~5% 농도의 알칼리가 필요한 것으로 나타났으며, $SO_3$ 함량이 높아질수록 누적 발열량이 작아지면서 전반적으로 발열이 지연되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 응결 지연제로서 hydrated sodium borate를 사용하였을 경우 발열을 억제하여 지연된 효과를 나타내며, 전체적인 누적 발열을 지연시키는 효과를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

석고에 고용된 $P_2O_5$$C_3A$의 초기수화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the $P_2O_5$ Substituted Gypsum on the Early Hydration of $C_3A$)

  • The effect of 2% of $P_2O_5$ substituted in gypsum(5 mol% as $HPO_3$) on the early hydration characteristics of $C_3A$ were investigated and then gypsum only and gypsum mixed with $Ca(H_2PO_4)_2$.$H_2O$(2% as $P_2O_5$) were studied separately for comparison. The early hydration reaction of $C_3A$ with each gypsum were examined by measuring the rate of heat libera-tion of hydration with calorimeter and by analysing the hydration products with X-ray diffractometer and differential thermal analyser. It was shown that phosphogypsum substituted with $P_2O_6$ in the crystal lattice accelerated exceedingly the formation of the ettrignite and following hydrated products. However the other gypsum especially gypsum without any phosphate delayed the formation of various hydration products, It was consequently suggested that when phosphogypsum are used as the retarder of cement setting its reta-rding effect for setting of cement is not ascribed to the retardation of ettringite formation.

Cement의 수화반응 물리특성에 미치는 ZnO의 영향 (The Effect of ZnO on the Hydration Reaction and Physical Properties of Cement)

  • With the increase of ZnO content, heat of hydration decreased. For specimens containing ZnO more than 0.6 wt.%, the compressive stength of cement cured for 28 days could not be measured because setting was not occurred. With the increase of ZnO content, Blaine specific surface area of cement was decreased and the residue of 45 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and 90 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ was increased when cement was ground. That is, grindability became worse as ZnO increased in clinker. The difference of color as a function of ZnO content could not be observed, but in the excess of amount of ZnO added, color became more white and reddish yellow.
