  • The median exclusive bus lanes with the purpose of improving public transport as part of a public transport promoting policy propel to improves the speed of the bus and guarantee punctuality security of public transportation for citizen satisfaction. In Median Exclusive bus lanes, Intersection operational methods are classified as turn prohibition, left turn, left turn U-Turn after turn prohibition. However, there are not clear criteria for applying for turn left U-Turn and related researches. The purpose of this study is to search a method for more safely operation when we operate turn left U-Turn in median exclusive bus lanes intersection. As a result, Bus stop in median exclusive bus lane should set back 12m for left turn, 17m for left turn U-turn during 60km/h and set back 13m for left turn, 17m for left turn U-turn during 50km/h.

  • Power system has recently used Double-circuit Line and Multi-circuit Line in the industrial development. This has an advantage of system stability and reliability, but the complexity of the system has a disadvantage that makes it difficult to protect the power line. Double-circuit Line has two operation conditions in the Single-circuit operation and Double-circuit operation, so it has mutual impedance. To make it possible for the remaining single-line to operate independently while there is a fault with first line or when maintenance is needed, a trip region for the single-circuit operation should be set in order to set the relay trip region. An optimal trip region for each operation, a different operational conditions for the relay setting should be calculated. In this paper, trip regions of each operation condition have been compared by considering mutual impedance and fault resistance that led to the calculation of fault impedance. Also, as we know that one of the advantages in the distance relay is the back-up protection, we calculated the trip region(Zone-2) in consideration of the mutual impedance.

  • In this work, we have simulated a 42-inch LED BLU which was based on 300 RGB LEDs. We have done an adjustment of LEDs' strip distance and a height of the top of the LED to the back of the LCD to get white color uniformity. So, we have changed simultaneously the distance between the top of the LEDs and the back of the LCD. Moreover, we set a fixed position for the horizontal of LED's pitch. And then, we have experimented and compared to our simulation data.

  • The objective of this research works is to develop back panel dies of PDP TV with a large size. In order to design the geometry of the dies and an initial size of blank optimally, the finite element analysis has been carried out using AUTOFORM V4.2. The conner radius of the upper trimming area and the distance from the outer line of the blank holder to the outer line of the blank have been selected as design parameters to remove the wrinkling of the trimming area. The results of the analyses have been shown that a feasible product without wrinkles and skid lines can be obtained when the conner radius ranges from 6mm to 8mm and the distance lines in the range of 40-60mm. From the proposed design of the dies and an initial blank size, the final die set of the back panel has been successfully manufactured.

  • Static torsional provisions employing equivalent lateral force method (ELF) require that the earthquake-induced lateral force at each story be applied at a distance equal to design eccentricity ($e_d$) from a reference resistance centre of the corresponding story. Such code torsional provisions, albeit not explicitly stated, are generally believed to be applicable to the regularly asymmetric buildings. Examined herein is the applicability of such code-torsional provisions to buildings with set-back using rigid as well as flexible diaphragm model. Response of a number of set-back systems computed through ELF with static torsional provisions is compared to that by response spectrum based procedure. Influence of infill wall with a range of opening is also investigated. Results of comprehensive parametric studies suggest that the ELF may, with rational engineering judgment, be used for practical purposes taking some care of the surroundings of the setback for stiff systems in particular.

  • Among various manual materials handling tasks, pushing/pulling was known to be one of the risk factors for the low back and shoulder musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). This study was conducted to find out an optimal solution set of the handle height and distance for 4-wheel cart with two vertical handles. Ten male college students participated in the pushing force measurement experiment. The face-centered cube design, one of the central composite designs, was applied for the experiment, and the isometric voluntary pushing force was measured in 9 treatment conditions. The second order response surface model was predicted by using the pushing strength as a response variable, and the handle height and distance as independent factors. According to the 2nd order response model, the handle height and distance showed nonlinear relationship with the isometric pushing strength. To maximize the 2nd order response model (pushing force), the handle height and distance were optimized. The optimal handle height was 'xyphoid process height - stature', and the optimal handle distance was '$1.25{\times}shoulder$ width'. When calculated using the anthropometric data of the subjects of this study, the optimal handle height was $115.4{\pm}3.4$ cm, slightly higher than the elbow height, and the handle distance was $52.9{\pm}2.3$ cm.

  • The effect of magnetic field on VDT work has not been clarified yet, but many studies repoerted that magnetic field could cause of the cancers. Many developed countries have set the criteria of magnetic field and produce the VDT which has lower magnetic value. The purpose of this study was to measure the intensity of magnectic field from VDT. For this purpose three experiments were performed. The first was designed to measure the intensity of magnetic field by distances(30,60,90 cm) and directions. The second was to compare the intensities between VDT and Color TV. The last was to evaluate the eye protec- tion glasses. The reults showed that the intensity of magnetic field was lowered in proportion to the distance $r^{3}$and both lateral sides of the VDT marked high values compared to the frontal and back sides. On the same distance (30 cm) color TV marked high value to the VDT. But on the normal work distance (TV: 100 cm, VDT: 30 cm) there was little difference, Eye protection glasses could not protect the magnetic field physically.

  • The Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) is a ground-based aircraft navigation system and is considered as an infrastructure that ensures resilient aircraft navigation capability during the event of a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) outage. The main problem of DME as a GNSS back up is a poor positioning accuracy that often reaches over 100 m. In this paper, a novel approach of applying deep reinforcement learning to a DME pulse design is introduced to improve the DME distance measuring accuracy. This method is designed to develop multipath-resistant DME pulses that comply with current DME specifications. In the research, a Markov Decision Process (MDP) for DME pulse design is set using pulse shape requirements and a timing error. Based on the designed MDP, we created an Environment called PulseEnv, which allows the agent representing a DME pulse shape to explore continuous space using the Soft Actor Critical (SAC) reinforcement learning algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose a method of sentiment classification which uses Levenshtein distance. We generate BOW(Bag-Of-Word) applying Levenshtein daistance in sentiment features and used it as the training set. Then the machine learning algorithms we used were SVMs(Support Vector Machines) and NB(Naive Bayes). As the data set, we gather 2,385 reviews of movies from an online movie community (Daum movie service). From the collected reviews, we pick sentiment words up manually and sorted 778 words. In the experiment, we perform the machine learning using previously generated BOW which was applied Levenshtein distance in sentiment words and then we evaluate the performance of classifier by a method, 10-fold-cross validation. As the result of evaluation, we got 85.46% using Multinomial Naive Bayes as the accuracy when the Levenshtein distance was 3. According to the result of the experiment, we proved that it is less affected to performance of the classification in spelling errors in documents.
