  • The performance of the electro-hydraulic servo control mechanism and the electronic servo controller in the steam turbine control system affect greatly upon overall system performance. We have succefully carried out a retrofit project of a 200MW steam control system recently. Here we introduce some acquired knowledge and experience about the servo control system which we actually configured in the project.

자립형 이동로봇 구동을 위한 직류 서보전동기 PLL 속도제어 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on PLL Speed Control System of DC Servo Motor for Mobile Robot Drive)

  • The speed control associated with dc servo motors for direct-drive applications of mobile robot is considered in this study. Robot is moved by power wheeled steering of two dc servo motors mounted to it. In order to cooperate with micro-computer and to achieve the high-performance operation of dc servo motor, speed control system is composed of a digital Phase Locked Loop and H-type drive circuit. And the motor is driven by Pulse Width Modulations. In controlling PWM, it is modified to compose of H-type drive circuit with feedback diodes and switching transistor and design of control sequence so that it may show linear characteristics. As a result, speed characteristics of motor showed linear features. In order to get data on design of PLL control system, the parameters of 80[W[ motor & robot device is measured by simple software control. The PLL speed control system is schemed and designed by leaner drive circuit and measured parameters. A complete speed control system applied to 80[W] dc servo motor showed good linearity, stability and high response. Also, it is verified that the PLL speed control system has good compatibility as a mobile robot driver.

네트워크 표현을 이용한 트윈서보 시스템의 모델링과 강건 동기 동작 제어 (Modeling and Robust Synchronizing Motion Control of Twin-Servo System Using Network Representation)

  • A twin-servo mechanism is used to increase the payload capacity and assembling speed of high precision motion control systems such as semiconductor chip mounters. In this paper, we focus on the modeling of the twin-servo system and propose its network representation. And also, we propose a robust synchronizing motion control algorithm to cancel out the skew motion of the twin-servo system caused by different dynamic characteristics of two driving systems and the vibration generated by high accelerating and decelerating motions. The proposed control algorithm consists of separate feedback motion control algorithms for each driving system and a skew motion compensation algorithm. A robust tracking controller based on internal-loop compensation is proposed as a separate motion controller and its disturbance attenuation property is shown. The skew motion compensation algorithm is also designed to maintain the synchronizing motion during high speed operation, and the stability of the whole closed loop system is proved based on passivity theory. Finally, experimental results are shown to illustrate control performance.

2자유도 보상법에 의한 직류서보전동기의 강인한 속도제어시스템 구현 (Implementation of the robust speed control system for DC servo motor using TDF compensator method)

  • In this paper, a robust two-degree-of-freedom(TDF) the speed control system using $H_{\infty}$ optimization method and real genetic algorithm is proposed for the robust stability and the robust performance in dc servo motor system. This control system composed of feedback and feedforward controller. The feedback(FB) controller with $H_{\infty}$ optimization method is designed for real genetic algorithm that is model matching problem using mixed sensitivity function. The feedforward(FF) controller with $H_{\infty}$optimization method is minimized the error between transfer function of the optimal model and the overall transfer function. The proposed robust two-degree-of-freedom speed control system is simulated to the dc servo motor. By the simulation, feedback controller can obtain the robust stability property and feedforward controller can obtain the robust performance property under modelling error. The performance of the dc servo motor is analyzed by the experiment setting. The validity of the proposed method is verified through being compared with pid(proportional integrated differential)control system design method for the dc servo motor.

  • 본 논문에서는, 문헌[1]에서 보였던 적분형 서어보계의 구성문제를 목표입력이 선형자유계의 출력으로 얻어지는 경우로 일반화하여 확대계수를 얻고 쌍선형변환법에 의해 폐류우프계를 구성하는 설계법을 제안했다. 본 설계법의 유효성을 확인하기 위해, 전기 서어보기구의 각도 제어에 관한 응용 예를 보였다. 실제적인 서어보 시스템의 설계문제에 있어, 그 폐루우프계의 특성근을 정확한 위치에 배치하기보다는 오히려 어떤 요구하는 과도응답이 얻어질 수 있게 하는 영역내에 배치하면 된다는 의미에서 보면, 본 서어보계 구성법은 그 실제적인 의미가 크다고 할 수 있다.

  • This paper describes a simple method to reduce rotation angle error of mobile robot using omni-wheel[3](omni-bot). This method can be applied to not only omni-bot, but also other robot with a large number of servo motor. Robot using many servo motor as omni-bot is complicated for hardware and software, each servo motor has difficulty in synchronizing. Three servo motor, three omni-wheel and three serial servo motor controller is used, PC or Micro Processor interface with the serial servo controller through "SSC100" protocol. In order to check the improvement of the proposed serial servo synchronization compared to existing sequential communication method. comparing object is rotation angle error of omni-bot. The results of this make building of omni-bot system easy and decrease rotation angle error.

외란관측기를 이용한 모션 스테이지의 위치제어 (Position Control of Motion Stage using Disturbance Observer)

  • For commercialized servo drives of the motion stage to include embedded controller, external terminal is provided for tracking command and encoder output, but internal terminal is not for control input. Thus, it is difficult to combine out signal of embedded controller with that of external compensator such as disturbance observer. In this study, for precise tracking control of motion stage without hardware change of the servo drive, tacking control system is composed of an inner loop of servo drive and an outer loop of disturbance observer. Then, the control system is designed so that the output response of actual plant corresponds with nominal model's in transient state as well as in steady state. Finally, the experiment results show that the designed control system is effective to reconcile actual plant behavior with nominal model under nonlinear friction and parameter perturbation.

  • A scheme of observer-based MFAC(Model Following Acceleration Control) system is proposed for the robustness control of DC servo position control systems. The proposed system is composed of LMFC, variable structure feedback controller, and reduced-order state observer. As the servo motor is controlled by the acceleration command, the total servo system becomes the acceleration control system. Simulation results show that the proposed system have robust properties against parameter variations and external disturbances.

  • This paper demonstrates that hybrid neural-genetic multimodel parameter estimation algorithm can be applied to structured system Identification of electro-hydraulic servo system. This algorithm are consist of a recurrent incremental credit assignment (ICRA) neural network and a genetic algorithm. The ICRA neural network evaluates each member of a generation of model and genetic algorithm produces new generation of model. We manufactured electro-hydraulic servo system and the hybrid neural-genetic multimodel parameter estimation algorithm is applied to the task to find the parameter values(mass, damping coefficient, bulk modulus, spring coefficient) which minimize total square error.

  • Machine tools are one of the energy-intensive equipment used in the manufacturing industry. The importance of energy has increased and the machine tools are required to be energy-efficient. The servo systems of the machine tool consume electrical power to rotate a spindle and to feed a tool during machining. Servo system consumes a lot of energy when the machine tool is operated. The energy consumption pattern of each axis needs to be investigated in order to optimize the machining process with regard to energy cost. In this paper, an energy monitoring system is developed considering various measuring points of servo system in order to grasp the energy consumption pattern of each axis.
