  • 본 논문에서는 PDA 상에서 블루투스를 통하여 홈 서버에 연결하고 홈 네트워크 미들웨어의 서비스를 계층적으로 발견하는 방식을 제안한다. 즉, PDA 상에서 블루투스 SDP(Service Discovery Protocol)를 이용하여 홈 서버가 지원하는 미들웨어 서비스를 발견하고, 발견된 미들웨어 서비스를 통하여 댁내의 가능한 가전기기 서비스를 발견한다. 모바일 단말의 빈번한 이동으로 인한 서비스 발견 패킷 과부하 발생을 완화시키기 위하여 홈 서버에 서비스 발견 프락시 서버 기능을 추가한다.

Development of a protocol for guidance in the pediatric nursing practicum in South Korea: a methodology study

  • Purpose: Practical training in pediatric nursing gives students the opportunity to apply nursing knowledge to children in a realistic clinical context. Clinical practice faculty (CPF) and clinical nursing instructor (CNI) have played important roles in the pediatric nursing practicum. This study was conducted to develop a protocol to guide clinical practicum in pediatric nursing. Methods: A service design methodology was employed between August 2020 and May 2021 at four universities and four hospitals in South Korea. The participants were five CPFs, five CNIs, five nursing college graduates, and 60 nursing students. The service design process had four phases: discovery, definition, development, and delivery. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations. The data were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive statistics. Results: The participants reported needs for providing concrete guidance and explanation, nursing practice experience, and a link between school and the clinical field. A protocol was developed to fulfill the participants' needs. The protocol comprised detailed information, teaching methodology, and partnership to guide students in the pediatric nursing practicum. Conclusion: The protocol developed in this study can be used to provide guidance for students' clinical practice in the field of pediatric nursing.

  • Our research is aimed at developing an architectural frame-work of USN sensor network discovery service systems. The research is fo-cused on the four areas a survey of USN technology, development of a USN software model, development of the design space of the USN sensor network discovery service, and finally the architectural framework of the USN sensor network dicovery service. The survey of the USN technology is conducted on four technological visions that contain USN system technology, USN networking technology, and USN middleware along with the service platform, With respect to each technological division, domestic and worldwide leading research projects are primarily explored with their technical features and research projects are primarily explored with their technical features and research output To provide a means to analyze sensor network discovery services, we devel-oped the design space of the sensor network discovery services by exploring the scalability with respect to query scope, lookup performance, and resolution network.

  • According to augmentation about interesting and demanding of privacy over the rest few years, researches that provide anonymity have been conducted in a number of applications. The ad hoc routing with providing anonymity protects privacy of nodes and also restricts collecting network information to malicious one. Until recently, quite a number of anonymous routing protocols have been proposed, many of them, however, do not make allowance for authentication. Thus, they should be able to have vulnerabilities which are not only modifying packet data illegally but also DoS(denial of service) attack. In this paper, we propose routing protocol with providing both anonymity and authentication in the mobile ad hoc network such as MANET, VANET, and more. This scheme supports all of the anonymity properties which should be provided in Ad Hoc network. In addition, based on the group signature, authentication is also provided for nodes and packets during route discovery phase. Finally, route discovery includes key-agreement between source and destination in order to transfer data securely.

  • The ongoing proliferation of new services, applications, and contents is leading the Internet to an architectural crisis owing to its inability to provide efficient solutions to new requirements. Clean-slate architectures for the future Internet offer a new approach to tackle current and future challenges. This proposal introduces a novel clean-slate architecture in which the TCP/IP protocol stack is decoupled in basic functionalities, that is, atomic services (ASs). A negotiation protocol, which enables context-aware service discovery for providing adapted communications, is also specified. Then, we present how ASs can be discovered and composed according to requesters' requirements. In addition, a media service provisioning use case shows the benefits of our framework. Finally, a proof-of-concept implementation of the framework is described and analyzed. This paper describes the first clean-slate architecture aligned with the work done within the ISO/IEC Future Network working group.

Policy-Based QoS Management for SLA-Driven Adaptive Routing

  • This paper proposes a policy-based quality of service (QoS) management framework for adaptive routing decisions. We present an approach considering interior gateway protocol (IGP) for path discovery mechanisms and QoS-aware policies for configuring the network elements. The integration of the aforementioned modules into this policy-based network management (PBNM) system is demonstrated by conducting experiments in a real environment, the hellenic public administration network SYZEFXIS. These experiments combine different traffic conditioning mechanisms through event detectors, consider IP service level agreement mechanisms that interoperate with the PBNM system and analyze the enforcement of IGP and QoS policies. Finally, validation and measurement tools are used to prove the efficiency of this framework. It is shown that this architecture offers significantly increased performance and learning capabilities, while the PBNM system achieves adaptive QoS routing through automated configuration considering the avoidance of suboptimal routing issues or under-performance conditions of the network entities.

  • 최근 홈 네트워크 상에서 가전기기를 통합 제어하는 무선 통합 컨트롤러의 연구 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 근거리 무선망인 블루투스를 사용하며 가정 내에서 가전기기를 제어하는 블루투스 통합 컨트롤러를 설계하고 구현한다. 제안된 통합 컨트롤러는 사용자 관리 및 기기의 세부기능 제어를 위해 메신저 형식의 사용자 인터페이스로 설계한다 또한 블루투스의 SOP(Service Discovery Protocol)를 사용하여 댁내 가전기기를 위한 서비스를 동적 발견하고 관리한다.

  • 지니 기술은 자바 프로그래밍 모델을 기초로 한 클라이언트가 동적으로 서비스를 찾아서 프래그 앤 플레이를 가능하게 해주는 기술이다. 홈네트워킹 환경에 이러한 기술을 적용하였을 때, 허가되지 않은 사용자들이 접근할 수 있어 네트워크 보안에 관한 문제가 발생한다. 또한 룩업서비스에 서비스를 등록한 정보 가전 시스템의 관리를 필요로 한다. 그래서 본 논문은 지니 룩업서비스에 사용자가 접근할 때 인증의 과정을 거치도록 하였고, 정보 가전 시스템의 관리를 위한 기능을 추가하였다.

  • 최근 분산 임베디드 시스템에서 실시간 데이터 교환에 대한 요구가 증가하면서 발간/구독(Publish/Subscribe) 기반의 데이터 중심 통신 미들웨어인 DDS(Data Distribution Service)에 대한 활용 분야가 증가하고 있다. 국방 분야의 시스템과 같은 고신뢰성을 요구하는 환경에서는 시스템 개발에 앞서, DDS 통신에 동적으로 참여하게 하는 디스커버리 과정의 안정적인 성능 검증을 요구한다. 성능 검증 및 신뢰성 있는 시스템 개발을 위해 실제 시스템과 유사한 환경에서 DDS의 디스커버리 사전시험(Prototype)을 수행하는 데, 이 때 많은 시간과 비용을 소요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 DDS의 표준 프로토콜인 RTPS(Real-Time Publish-Subscribe)에서 필수로 요구하는 SDP(Simple Discovery Protocol)를 이용하여 디스커버리 시간을 추정할 수 있는 계산식을 제안한다. 계산식은 참여자(Participant) 수를 이용한 연결 쌍(pair)의 수식과 단말개체(Endpoints) 수를 이용한 가중치(weight) 수식을 이용하며, 실제 상용 DDS 미들웨어를 이용하여 유형별로 DDS 디스커버리 시험을 수행한 결과와 비교하여 계산식을 실제로 사용할 수 있음을 보인다.

  • Recently, multicast routing protocols become increasingly important aspect in Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs), as they effectively manage group communications. Meanwhile, multimedia and real-time applications are becoming essential need for users of MANET. Thus it is necessary to design efficient and effective Quality of Service (QoS) multicast routing strategies. In this paper, we address the scalability problem of multicast routing protocols to support QoS over MANETs. In particular, we introduce a Position-Based QoS Multicast Routing Protocol (PBQMRP). Basically, the protocol based on dividing the network area into virtual hexagonal cells. Then, the location information is exploited to perform efficient and scalable route discovery. In comparison with other existing QoS multicast routing protocols, PBQMRP incurs less control packets by eliminating network flooding behavior. Through simulation, the efficiency and scalability of PBQMRP are evaluated and compared with the well-known On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (ODMRP). Simulation results justify that our protocol has better performance, less control overhead and higher scalability.
